Excellent food (especially the Marguerite pizza) and nice staff. Wait time is average and their menu selection is exactly what youd want from a more than just pizza kind of place. Only issue was that the prices are a little steep for what you get, but prices are going up all over the U.S. now so I cant blame it all on this restaurant.
Love this CPK.Ive been here many times. I have ordered the gluten free pizza twice. Once with just pepperoni and this time with pepperoni and sausage. Both times they were great. The sauce has just the right balance, its not too acidic. The cucumber reviver was light from the cucumber, fresh from the mint and bubbly from the sparkling water.I also had the appetizer wedge with tomato, blue cheese dressing, and applewood smoked bacon. It was so good, it disappeared before I remembered to take a picture. LolMy server Michael was great! My food came out hot and fast. Grateful cause I was hungry. Ha haThere is a drink menu and a membership for discounts for purchases of $100.00Food is not too pricey. Great for lunch and dinner.
Im sorry I dont need it your establishment I have no problems with you I was walking in the Walt Whitman mall to go to GNC health food store and its right across from your restaurant please stop asking me how the places I dont eat there thank you have a nice day Im giving you a five star cuz your place is always busy so it must be okay
We had gone to have lunch around 1:30. The restaurant was still busy but seating was available. The server took our order and promptly returned with drinks. 10-15 minutes later our food arrived. We opted for the lunch special 7 pizza each with a side. This was a good value for New York City. When our food arrived I informed the server that my silver ware was dirty. She returned with another dirty set. I had to get out of my seat to find someone else to tend to my needs and requested a glass of hot water to effectively clean them. The food was good but the service was quite disappointing. I will not be returning. There are too many choices available that will take the steps to ensure a quality satisfying experience.
Manager or owner needs to learn some manner how to talk and how to behave when people around, they cant just tell whatever they want and just make it as law.i understand if he someone explain we are not allow some stuff so we are ok with it but you cant just argue with wrong knowledge
Our party of 3 had a great experience at this CPK. The staff was great even with it being quite busy. The food was enjoyed by all and the beehive sangria was great. Justin was the real stand-out here! A super nice and genuine guy who was attentive the entire time. Thanks very much!
Ordered traditional, margarita pizza, Caesar salad and butter cake through Grubhub.Couldn’t really taste the pizza because it was cold and extremely salty! My mother’s blood pressure went up sky high. I would like to have received pizza without all the extra sodium .As for the butter cake 2 thumbs up hence why I have two thumbs up.
Horrible customer service experience. Ordered the Thai crunch salad w/avocado which took forever to come out. When we finally got it there was literally a small quarter of avocado in a full size salad that was to be shared with another person. Called to the attention of the manager Arthur (9/3/2020)@1:35pm and spoke to him about it in a pleasant manner. He got offensive and took a tone with me saying he “assured me there’s 1/2 avocado in the salad and it’s probably mixed around (which was not the case cause we checked before we brought it to his attention). Now they charge you about $3 to add avocado, which is why we thought it ridiculous of him to make a stink. Good customer service Arthur ( if they read this is) “mam, no worries we will be happy to accommodate you and fix this”.Problem number 2- our server who was apologetic about the manager in the end, did not check in on us to see if we needed anything. Brought out the bread and left it at the edge of the table with all the plates and left. My daughter ordered a Shirley temple and got a bunch of leaves floating around in it ( dirty glass???).Overall we were not happy with the customer service and will not be coming back here. It’s not exactly a clean place- flies flying around and being served in dirty dishes. And this is all happening while operating under COVID-19 regulations. DO NOT RECOMMEND DINING HERE.
Went here for lunch with kids. The service was super friendly and fast. Our waiter and manager were also accommodating with our request. We order the avocado rolls, kids pizza and kung poa spaghetti. All were made fresh and delicious. The cocktails were also made well and I really enjoyed the citrus martini.
So disappointed this time. Order a glass of wine, it was bad, I mean turned bad. Pizza wasnt up to par. Ordered a Sicilian pie too, so so spicy, my daughter couldnt eat it. My other daughter order a regular pie,, said it was missing something. Just a bad experience this time.
Never again!! Walked in on my 30 min lunch break. Asked if thin crust Milano could be made with no mushrooms. The girl assured me it could. Understanding mistakes can happen but I waited 20 min to get my 17$ pizza. The entire thing was covered in mushrooms. Next time say. “Just order cheese pizza so there’s no mistakes to be made” I would have been fine with that! What a waste!
The place looks good and food is fine, but never got hired after I got ghosted by HR because I had my interview back in November 2020 which it was good at all, but promised to give me an email/call back in a week, but never heard from them. Now, theyre still have the opening of the same job again on Indeed, but I refuse to spend my money there after never got hired at this place because HR doesnt want hire me to due my disability, age, race and/or whatever it is you think I dont fit in the job due your fantasy world standards and mental gymnastics including never cared my past experiences on my resume. If anyone looking for a job there, I suggest dont apply to work here and dont spend your money there. If youre the owner or HR reading this, youre doing terrible job on keeping contact with job candidates like me.
Pretty standard chain restaurant. Our waiter was good. We were seated right away because I made a reservation but it looks like there would have been a wait otherwise on a Saturday night. We ordered a pizza, which was good but could have used more sauce. Highly recommend the chicken picatta!
California Pizza kitchen is clearly confused as to what type of cuisine they are featuring. The appetizers are Asian in nature, the spurs are a tad Spanish/Mexican and then they have a few pizza and pasta options which are not your normally sized 18 inch pies. They look and taste like a $5 pizza in your frozen food section at the grocery store. Clearly there food is predominantly spicy to make up for the inadequate dishes. It was very pricey for this type of culinary selections. I wont be back.
Very great place to eat! Enjoyed the drinks! Lou the bartender was amazing! I received excellent customer service! It was very busy & she still managed to make time for each and every guest without rushing. She was very knowledgeable & gave me lots of suggestions on what to order! I orded a jack & coke & it was great no complaints. The food was great ( I ordered pizza & salad) & very fresh! I will definitely be returning.
Never ate at a California Pizza Kitchen before and almost passed up the opportunity to eat there and I’m glad that I didn’t. I was pleasantly surprised that the quality of the food was top notch and I had one of their “bowl” meals. I forgot the exact name of the dish but it had shrimp, black rice and assorted veggies. Really good quality and very tasty. I’ll be back!
Walked in the door at 3:45pm. They advertise a lunch special from 11am-4pm. Took about 15 mins to get seated and another 10 mins for a waitress to greet me. Took another 15 mins just for my Perrier water to come. No utensils. Had to wait for my straw by asking another waitress after waiting ANOTHER 10 mins for my water. I was told I can no longer get the lunch special after having to wait to be served. Never coming here again.
Decided to go celebrate my birthday, with family and it was a truly pleasant experience. Friendly service to distance seating , Cpk made sure everything was handled smoothly. Ordered garlic parm fettuccine, tostada pizza, and california veggie pizza all of which were delicious to say the least. Highly recommend the sangria flight and butter cake!!! Don’t count the calories just enjoy.
Enjoyed the new cauliflower pizza crust abs glad already had it on their menu. Very tasty and would definitely order it again. Service was okay, Took a while for server to return and fill up everyones drink. We were the first group there at 11am when they opened. It was overall a good experiencebut not Great or 5 star worthy
Brought home take out, not quite as good as eating in. You lose a little when you have to drive home and reheat. But under todays circumstances, its still great. Were not ready to eat indoors at restaurants yet. Got a nice salad, our favorite pastas, and, of course, finished off with the warm Butter Cake with Hagen Dasz icecream. The icecream was melted, of course, so we put it in the freezer, Andreas almost refrozen by the time we were ready to eat it. Zapped the cake in the microwave for 15 seconds and added the icecream...yummm!
I am incredibly disappointed in the service and handling of a very frustrating and unfortunate experience at California Kitchen Pizza. I had ordered a pizza and requested mine without bacon, as I do not consume pork for religious reasons. I made a specific and strict request that there be no bacon. Upon taking a few bites of my pizza, I am appalled to see that there is pork inside my pizza. I am extremely upset not only by their lack of care or ability to follow instructions, but by the handling of the situation. The server did not seem to care in any regard for her mistake, and went to speak to her manager to see what can be done to rectify the situation. The manager oh so graciously allowed her to waive the disgusting pizza I had not ordered (and was absolutely not going to pay for regardless). Rather than offer a genuine apology, or compensation to rectify the situation, or show any compassion, they immediately proceeded to hand me my bill for the rest of my order (only our drinks). I am absolutely disgusted by this service and am sure to never visit this place again. Shame on you. Please train your staff to a) follow directions in an order, b) understand cultural/religious responsibility for certain people regarding their orders, and c) learn to resolve a conflict utilizing basic customer service skills rather than lose a customer permanently by throwing the rest of their bill on them. Mind you, it was a bill for 2 sodas and not a significant amount. But there was no sort of courtesy to fix their wrongdoing or how upset I was. This location is a disgrace to California Kitchen Pizza chain, and I will be sure to reach out to the respective corporate office.
Spinach artichoke appetizer was the only good thing in this restaurant. The service was very slow. Pizza came first and the salad came later. The so called thin crust pizza was thick, cold and hard to eat which makes you feels like eating a gum. Staff was friendly but staffs being friendly is not the only important thing in a restaurant. Price vs. the quality is too bad.
First-time Ive been here. It was for a fund raiser. I think the pizza was delicious and really wanted to try the cauliflour crust, but being I was sharing, we both had to agree...lol. The servers were polite and it was clean. Others were having appetizers and cool alcoholic beverages. They looked delicious and generous portions, when I go back without work responsibilities, Ill be sure to try a drink. I would recommend California pizza kitchen, but it was more expensive than I anticipated as you cant get individual slices.
Mediocre dishes but price is keep goingup. This place is in Walt Witman Mall, so most of their customers are mall shoppers.Figure after spending some (may be some big)money in the mall those shoppers like to put some budget food in their stomach before heading to home. At least I am one of them. I used to enjoyed having their individual pizza called meat lovers or something like that for $13. A couple of years later, they gave it new name with a few bucks more. Yesterday I had the same pizza called Sicilian for $17. I know for sure that I will not gonna eat at the restaurant for a long while.
Food was ok... Service was also ok. Drinks were no good. The sangria flight was super sweet omg. Toothache sweet. Had to send it back. Reasonable prices for what we ate though. Mexican corn amd shrimp with pasta and zuchinni was pretty good. Im stuck on a strong three for this place. Would recommend, but not highly.
Different this time. Crispy fish tacos had so little food in them, not sure what was supposed to be crispy about it, came in soft taco shell. Rest of plate was tortilla chips with small amount salsa. The Works pizza, just eh. Not hot, doughy, unremarkable. Considered this pretty expensive for what we got. Halfsteak salad was almost 16.00. Three tiny tacos nearly 17. Just eh. Not sure what happened here. Waitress never offered to refill drinks. Not returning.
Honestly, Id love to go there a lot. But after numerous bad experiences, I cannot keep doing it. The staff is lazy, inattentive, rude, and cannot even begin to grasp customer service. It is dirty and unkempt. As a manager of another franchise for 6 years, I know it starts from the top -- and it definitely does. After the manager recently asked mid-poor experience how we were doing and I calmly explained the problems we were having, he did nothing to resolve it other than explain that it happens when hes out of the kitchen. No kind words were ever said by anyone for the problems & incidentally no changes to the bill - after initially expressing the problems to the manager, he never again stopped by to ask how things were & if things were resolved. It is an absolute free-for-all and I cannot spend my money there anymore, even though I WANT to!!
Its always pleasure to go and dine at California Pizza Kitchen. They have good menu withe enough variety for people of all ages. Staff is very nice and helpful. They often checked with us , if we need anything else.Parking is not a problem because its in Huntington Wall whitman mall.Update. Today went 8n ahain for take out.As usual food is great and staff is very helpful.
After a long day at the local Fall Festival, we stopped for dinner. Good Service, Good Food, Good Price. Childrens food came fast, smoothies were a hit with the entire family, waiter (Keith) kept checking in and did not disappear. Waldorf Salad and Chicken Piccata where very nice meals. We will return.
Was really disappointed in this place today. Went for lunch today (MLK day, so kids off from school). Told him we had five guests eating – they only brought three menus and three sets of cutlery… Had two different servers come to the table asking if we had been helped yet. One server finally came to take our drink order. Ordered kids meal, a fried mac & cheese appetizer, and for adult meals. Kids pizza came out quick but was very bland and chewy. Our food took forever to come out (and two of us only got pizza/soup lunch combos!) and my barbecue chicken pizza, which they are famous for, was inedible – completely over cooked, dry chicken, almost no cheese, & very little barbecue sauce. Our appetizer never came out and our server decided to tell us as our entrées arrived that they were out of the mac & cheese… Three minutes later a man came over with the mac & cheese! Said there weren’t any “on the line” to cook so they had to make them in the back....? On top of everything, our server was really distracted and was not very attentive to our table. The meal wasn’t a total bust which is why I gave two stars: the mac & cheese balls were delicious the baked potato soup was good as well. They also remade my BBQ chicken pizza and boxed it for me to take home.
I ordered the full roasted veggie salad with a side of bread. After a few bites of the salad I mixed everything together and when I started eating again I got an allergic reaction because there was feta in the salad. I always get this salad and know there isnt supposed to be cheese in there. I saw bits of cheese still so I tried to take that out and eat it but it was too late and I could not finish the salad. I told the waitress and she said next time you have to let them know your allergies before ordering and just walked away w/o finishing the conversation. I have let them know before and the response has always been well there is no cheese in there anyway. Obviously that is not the point. The point is the waitress should not have blamed me when it was a kitchen error. I am not going back there again.
This was my first and will be my last time ever visiting any california pizza kitchen. The service was horrible. I am black and I went to dine in with my mother. We were seated by the hostess with ease and recieved menus. No one came back to check on us, take our orders, or offer us water as we waited for over 5 minutes. An older white couple was seated next to us and immediately a white waitress attended to them. I gave her a look to say were ready and waiting and after taking the white couples order she did not return to us. Since she did not come over my mom and I left. As we were walking out the hostess stated that she hoped that we enjoyed our stay. Did she not remember that she seated us several minutes ago!? In a room full of white people, you dont understand how disrespected and low we felt.
I am going to share very bad experience of today that their workers have no manners and no courtacy. Today I went there with my husband and my two babies. We ordered pizza and some chicken nuggets for babies. Food was good and we gave the good tip too. We had a stroller with us for babies and they were crying when we were leaving, they were not sitting in the stroller and making the noise by crying so my husband and me decided to pick the kids up and go outside of the restaurant and will try the kids to sit in the stroller. We forgot to pick two milk bottles with cap. When we came out of the restaurant, there was the seating area infront of that restaurant. We were there in sitting area and able to sit the kids on stroller. Then we realized that we forgot the bottles on the table in the restaurant where we were eating. It was around 5 minutes and my husband went there to ask the bottles. Workers told us that they have thrown in the garbage. They didnt wait even 10 minutes and thrown the milk bottles with cap in Garbage and there was a milk in that bottles. I really feel very bad. My babies keep crying all the way to my house. Because they dont had milk.So I will ask the question to the workers that if their customer forget anything on the table then what they do? They dont keep for some time alreast one day. I really feel very bad after going to their restaurant.
Very busy, you would think a food place near a mall would be quick but thats not the type of culture Walt Whitman Mall has. Overall a nice place to get drinks and have good pizza ...price is fair too but try to get it for the go it can get a bit loud in there with all the damn kids running around
Horrible horrible service. Waited over 15 mins for someone to greet us at the table. Even after telling the host we have not seen a waiter. Margarita pizza was disgusting. Way too much cheese and crust burnt. Had them take it off of the bill. Terrible experience there. Will never go back
I went to the California Pizza Kitchen in he Walt Whitman Shops. They greeted me with much love and care but started talking way too much about things i don’t care about at all whatsoever. They talked way too long about the rewards program which i didn’t show much care in.They gave me my food very quickly but when it was time to pay they took all of our cards and didn’t give us back the check for a half hour. I was in disgust about how long it was taking my friend to the right of me was having a panick attack because she had to get to her fish’s funeral promptly afterwards. I gave one star for the lack of service and another bc the food was delicious. Thank you and goodbye forever bc i’m not coming back other than next week and the weeks hat follow.
CHARGED TWICE!!CPK charged my credit card twice and refuses to rectify the situation. the management was rude and refused to believe me. wonder how pocketed the extra charge? BTW my bank did confirm I was charged twice. Protect yourself and dine someplace else.My advise go to another restaurant in the mall. theres a lot to choose from now.
Went there last night at 5:30 wanted a booth there was 7 booths empty all were dirty dishes and stuff 5 girls standing around doing nothing the hostess said if u can wait or come back later I’ll try to get a booth clean Are you kidding me very lazy people poor management. I will calll corporate office and file a complaint we went to Cheesecake Factory instead much better and guess what when a booth emptied out they cleaned It right away
Worst experience ever. I was there on 4/20/13 and I ordered a asparagus salad and there was a cocaracha.I felt sick to my stomack and seriously and that night I end up in the ER with a virus. BEWARE!!you never know what they will serve your food with.I spoke to the manager and all he had to say is SORRY.Sorry did not make me feel better and the worst part is that this is the second time is happened to me in less than a year.DISGUSTING PLACE TO EAT!!
Located inside the Walt Whitman Shopping Center located off of Route 110 servicing Huntington and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. We will most likely be going back.
Good food, good prices, its pretty big and is family friendly..our waitress was polite..and the host was great, she was intelligent and funny, super friendly and always had a smile on her face..she seated us where we wanted to sit and carried a delightful conversation with us..shes amazing (i believe her name is Katrina, she should be promoted to management, shes very much a peoples person if that makes sense)Highly recommended!!
Walked in and had an order almost like maybe its time to change the carpet from all the food and drink soiled into it over the years. Under the tables were dirty napkins and pasta almost took a pick. Immediately complained to the waitress about how much debris was on the floor - was gross. Heres the deal..... corporate type restaurant. Totally trying to maximize profits. The food that you do get is tasty but you are paying 14.00 for a small personal pizza. The equivalent of 28.00 for what in any normal pizza place would get you a large type pizza. The help is typical minnenial types no work ethic all dressed in jeans. One waitress had the plastic card she uses for the register hooked to the very middle belt loop on her back so when she walked around it would bounce off the middle of her ass. REALLY?...... saw the manager yes also in jeans. From my booth could see another waitress eating her dinner in the front part of the kitchen. Another waiter was sitting two tables rolling up silverware into napkins for tables. The real problem is the management from outside the restaurant. .... dont they train or pop in for supreme visits? And see what i was. AnywayNot going back to this circus. Store will survive because of location but what a sloppy poorly managed establishment.
Such a bad experience there by the door ... my family goes there average 5-7 times s month.. never really had a problem there, we like the food a lot but this time (an hour ago) was taking my mom there for lunch , a muscular big guy thats seats people declined giving us a booth even tho there were available ones and when I asked him how come he doesnt want to give it to us even tho we waited on line and it was our turn and there was a booth available he told us that he wants to keep that for 4 people , I looked around and 3 out of 4 booth were occupied only by 2 people and I told him that and his response was they came earlier and we will be getting busier even tho the place was half empty , and he then added that we make here $20,000 a day and it will get sooo busy today ... I was shocked and left.. that was really rude and not a way to deal with customers .. he lost my business !!!
One of only a few dining options attached to Walt Whitman (Huntington) Mall, as the food court that previously existed was rid of during a recent Major Re-Model of the mall. This Pizza Kitchen offers delicious food with a decent menu that puts your order on the table in a very timely manner, leaving you satisfyingly fulfilled, and able to get back to business, whether that is back to shopping or quite literally work.

2021-10-27We have been coming here for a very long time. But the service was just horrible to say the least tonight. First, no one wanted to come after seating us for almost 20 minutes! We had to go and call someone to take our order as the kids were getting hungry. Kids menu and no pens or crayons. No water at all. After taking the order no one bothered to come even once to check if we needed anything else. I mean being members of CPK we expect the staff to have some decency and basic knowledge about the service industry. If you don’t like to work in the service industry then don’t but ruining someone’s dinner is just unacceptable. To top it all we get a pizza box to take the Mac n cheese! Horrible! Never going back here.

2022-05-15I understand that I was at the restaurant 15 minutes before closing. But I would rather they told me that it was closed than to make a mess with my pizza.

2022-06-21This place is really good. I havent been to one of these since I was a kid. The pizza was fresh, the waitress was good! I have no complaints besides the could clean under the tables a little better, but thats not worth taking a star away because the pizza and spinach dip and chip appetizer was 10/10

2022-06-08Awesome food! Love that they have plant-based, vegetarian options. We got the plant-based barbecue chicken which came with smoked gouda, and we added pineapple to it. Incredible! We had the pizza to go, and it was ready waiting for us when I drove up.

2022-04-18Worst people ever , extremely rude, table was wet and the servers reply was “ok”. Absolutely rude, they were being racist as well, as they served a group of 4 who walked in 3 mins after us and yet we were waiting for a table of 4 for a bout 10 mins. The servers/hosts knew that. Bad food too, pasta was still hard. The server at the front door gave us nasty looks the whole time as well. — don’t come here, it’s not worth it at all!!

2021-02-13Service was okay, food was good. Way too expensive though. 18 dollars for a personal pizza. Had a gift card to go so I wasnt too upset. Pizza was actually really good, chicken dumplings were okay. Expect to spend a lot on not that much food.
