The Cambria Hotel in White Plains far exceeded our expectations. We had a small conference and 3 out of towners (including myself) stayed at this boutique hotel and were delighted with everything from the modern look and feel of the lobby and rooms, to the attentiveness of the front desk staff. The rooms are very pretty and clean with enough space to get some work done while someone is sleeping in the other separated area! The bathrooms were roomy and very modern. We all agreed, we loved our rooms.
Some of the front desk staff were rude/had an attitude with my friends and myself. Check-in was fine for me but check-out was a mess as I was charged for someone else’s parking. The room was nice and spacious but unsure how thorough the cleaning was as there was a large Bobby pin on the floor when I got there. The hotel itself is near tons of shops and restaurants which was convenient.
I blocked rooms at this hotel for my wedding. The area is in the middle of white plains so people who wanted to explore the area the night before the wedding were able to do so. I spoke with Danielle Jabara about the details of the wedding block and she made everything very easy in terms of answering all of my questions and concerns. I was able to drop off my gift bags a couple days early at my convenience. Everyone had a a great stay. I had a small hiccup with booking connecting rooms but the person on duty the days we were there - Ravi, was excellent in helping repair the error. I received a text from the front desk thanking us for our stay and they continued to stay in contact as my vendors were coming up to the room. We had an excellent experience at this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again and recommending them to others.
The rooms are priced GREAT! The parking/ valet situation isn’t ideal but for $25 it’s not that big of a deal. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel itself was pretty quiet. The furniture was visibly worn and soiled but the beds were clean and comfortable. Check out, was just as quick and easy.
I inquired about parking my car and if I could leave it there after checkout until my business meeting was over and I received a response as, sure not a problem. No mentioned that it is possible but there is an additional fee. When I went to pick up my car, they couldn’t find my key and I had to go back to the front desk and pay an additional $15 since I did pick up my car by the 2 PM checkout. I said I inquired and it was not noted there would be an additional cost. There was no interest in what was discussed, just that I needed to pay the additional fee. No concern for the customer experience or recovery.
My second time staying here and they lived up to my expectations once again. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The text system they use to greet you and assist with any issues is awesome. Had an issue with my TVs and within minutes, someone was there to fix it and it was fixed! Cant wait to go back
Had a great stay at the Cambria! Rooms were tidy, clean and I appreciated the simple complimentary breakfast and coffee bar in the mornings. Location was great! Close access to downtown White Plains and I could easily go to the Target next door or to the ShopRite if I needed to.
My stay was overall very nice. My check-in was fast, staff was patient, polite, and very helpful. My room was cozy and clean. Parking is $25 for the length of our stay instead of daily!!! My only displeasure was that it took almost 10 minutes for the shower to get warm but the next time I showered it got warm a little faster. There are several places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance and many on Doordash and Grubhub but the hotel doesnt provide that information. Ill surely stay again though.
The hotel is good overall, my main concern was the customer service. After I left the hotel, I realized that I left some of my clothes in the closet by error. I tried calling the hotel multiple times, spoke to the front desk, to manager, left voicemails to the housekeeping. Nobody returned my calls. Nobody made any effort to help me recover my clothes. I was highly disappointed by the attitude of the people I spoke to.
This place was CLEAN, cozy & the bathroom was SO beautiful.Everything stays quiet, so theres no disruptive atmosphere. I couldnt hear my neighbors, so that means the walls arent cheaply thin. You get a desk, a fridge, a couch & chair (in a double). Good lighting, full length mirror. Just a nice place with friendly staff. Its a couple of blocks from the mall, has a MYRIAD of restaurants all around it- and a shopping complex connected that has Target, Nordstroms, a grocery store & a few others I cant quite remember.
My husband and I went for a Valentine getaway and this was just what we needed. The room was cozy and clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There are plenty of places in walking distance to grab a bite to eat and Target is right around the corner if you need little things. The parking is $25 for your entire stay which isnt bad at all. My only issues were that the water took a some time to warm up in the shower, the refrigerator wasnt really that cold but did keep my things cool and I had to look for the restaurants etc on my phone as the hotel did not provide any of that information. I will surely revisit this establishment.
I’m going to be honest when I say I never write reviews but I HAD to share this experience. My mother and I drove up from Virginia and came to stay here at the Cambria. Noor at the front desk was extremely sweet, friendly and professional. She booked a handicap room for my mother which was perfect. Unfortunately, after moving into the room the smoke alarm started to beep due to low battery. Once again, Noor and her manager (i can’t remember the name i’m so sorry - perhaps it was June?) were quick to get us switched into a different room. Both rooms were very clean and spacious. Their kindness was a great break from the stressful drive from Virginia to New York. Would highly recommend this hotel!!!
Very nice room, quiet. My only disappointment was that it took almost 10 minutes for the water in my shower to get warm. Plenty of places to grab a bite within walking distance and of course theres Doordash etc but dont expect the hotel to tell you about any of this. Parking is $25 for your entire stay, good if youre staying for an extended time or have activities planned during your stay.
Everything in this hotel was wonderful EXCEPT old worn mattresses on the beds. If the mattresses were good this would have been a perfect stay. Clean, good pressure hot shower, great staff, excellent lobby, spacious rooms, endless restaurants and stores in walking distance, easy access by train into NYC.... But - couldn’t sleep well on the old mattresses.
I stayed here 5 nights for business. Room was clean which is always a HUGE plus. Front desk folks were friendly, and the hotel is located in an ideal area. Lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. It was disappointing that the restaurant and bar was closed due to covid. Wouldve been convenient to grab a cocktail or dinner there a couple of times during my stay. Some of the in-room amenities have significant signs of wear, stained, and rather uncomfortable. Many comparable hotels come with an in-room nespresso or keurig machine except this one, which sucks if you are a coffee drinker like me.If I happen to be in town again, I would definitely stay there again.
Nice Newer hotel good location walking distance to Mamaroneck where the restaurants are. Nice decor throughout. Would give it a 5 but I dont get that welcome feeling. Most hotels I stay at that are are this level the valet or door man or even the front desk attendant at least says hi and looks like they are in a good mood. I know its tough out there but that smile might change someones day month year even life.
I have been staying here since the hotel first opened. It is very convenient to places to eat as well as to shop. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave as well as a coffeemaker. Parking does cost extra. I cant say enough about the rooms-they are a very nice size, including desk for your laptop; couch to watch TV and then a room for your bed. The staff has always been top notch. Thank you for making my stay a bit more pleasant despite the cold weather.
Ill start with the king suite room...it was FANTASTIC. The layout was nice, and luckily no one was in the next room, so aside from street noise, it was quiet and comfortable. The problem for me was the Front Desk. I arrived at 11:30 pm, when they have already locked the entrance doors to the elevators to get to the lobby. There is a sign telling you to hit the intercom, call the hotel number, or your room key will unlock the sliding doors. I hit the intercom...nothing. I called...no answer. Back and forth with no answer - for 20 minutes. Luckily a guest came in, and with my suitcase and desperate look, he let me in. No explanation was given when I finally checked in.During my stay I requested extra towels, which were never delivered. On checkout at 4:45am, not a soul was at the Front Desk, even after I rang the bell several times. These experiences (except for the towel requests) were after hours, so I will give some slack...however, guests DO sometimes have to operate after hours so it is not excusable.
Edit November 13 2021Back here after almost 2 years. Stayed for 3 nights. They have disbanded the breakfast- because of Covid.Service was excellent - Andrew, Robbie, Joy, Rose and one more person whose name I forget- he was the coolest though- even dancing to the piped music while standing for long hours behind the counter. Will be back------------------An amazing hotel. Have stayed here many a times- of course the last time was pre-Covid. Travel for work, from Dubai. The location is perfect. The staff are perfect. The breakfast is amazing. It is within walking distance to almost everything- Target, restaurants, you name it. Will always stay here when in White Plains.
This hotel met my expectation, I loved it. The staff were very welcoming and nice, the rooms were very spacious, modern furniture, refrigerator, microwave were all a plus. My daughter and I really enjoyed our weekend get away, and what also made it great was the nice view of the city and the mall was near by also
I enjoyed my stay at Cambria. They have taken all of the necessary Covid 19 precautions to ensure that the guests are safe. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Amenities were limited, but that was understandable. Location is excellent, near many restaurants and places for takeout. The room was comfortable,, and laid out well. Parking was a bit of a hassle.
The hotel is easy to find and the valet parking is convenient. The lobby is very nice and there are many places that you are able to work and be productive or meet and be social. The rooms are a nice size and offer great accommodations for work. The desk is convenient. The shower is great! Having and refrigerator and microwave was a plus. The staff is the star at this hotel though - everyone we spoke with was kind and pleasant! They are always smiling!
Of course, people are everything and the people who are working there are terrific. Kenny, Dasia, Jay and the cleaning staff are very friendly, helpful, courteous and professional.I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel, its modern look and other amenities offered there. The rooms were nice and had ample space. I think that its fantastic that you have an agreement with Planet Fitness that allows guests to use their facilities during the course of their stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the White Plains area.
I love the Cambria Suites hotel (White Plains location) and it shows in the numerous times I stay here throughout the year. The rooms and hotel facilities are always well cleaned. Coming to this hotel gives me that second home feeling. The front desk make me feel appreciated when they remember me and state how they value me as a returning client.
Ive stayed at this hotel for the second time with my partner for a show weve planned on going, which was close by to the event. The host check-in person greeted me and said hello. Very easy and fast getting the rooms. Im also a member of the Choice Program and they offer me a buy one get one free drink from the bar during the duration of the stay. That was a very cool perk to be part of. Getting to the room is very clean and a wonderful view of the City Center mall and sunset view is a bug plus. Bed and bathroom is very clean and spotless. The host gives you a text to see if you get to the room safe and sound. My partner and I are satisfied with the stay. Youre close to shopping malls, bars and restaurants in the White Plains area. The only minor thing a didnt like was that they didnt offer breakfast in bed during the duration of the stay, instead of going downstairs at the lobby. I would of pay extra for it plus tip, if they give that option.Overall, we had a pleasant and satisfied stay with the room.
We chose to stay at the Cambria in White Plains, NY primarily based on its proximity to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Treatment Center and the great guest reviews that said the hotel was quiet. We stayed at this hotel for two non-consecutive nights. Both times we asked for a quiet room and both nights we had a very good experience. The rooms were quiet and clean, beds were comfortable, and hotel staff were very accommodating. On the first stay, the bathroom sink was clogged, but a technician came within 5 minutes of our call to the front desk and quickly resolved the problem. Food choices for dinner were minimal, but prices were reasonable, food was tasty and well prepared, and we were thankful to have a restaurant on site. The hotel is only minutes from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Treatment Center and route 287 and the on site valet parking is very convenient. Local stores, pharmacy, and non-hotel food choices are just steps away. Staff at Front Desk, restaurant, valet parking, and technicians were all very customer-focused, efficient, and courteous. Overall, a great experience at the hotel and close to our destination. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel staff from the valet, to front desk, and housekeeping were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. When we return to this area, we will absolutely stay here again and have made several recommendations to our friends and family. The location was great as well.
This was the best hotel stay Ive had in a long time. The thing that makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Everyone at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make my stay the best experience. The maintenance staff must also be commended. The hotel and my room always smelled fresh and the grounds were impeccable. I did not eat breakfast however, I did pick up coffee every morning. The presentation was nice and the restaurant staff was pleasant and friendly. The valet was very quick and thorough. On a few occasions I utilized the free shuttle and one employee in particular, Daniel, was very helpful and friendly and gave us a lot of great information on the local area. Thanks for a great stay and kudos to all your staff!
The hotel itself is nice. Very clean. The location is great, close to lots of things. Free pool and gym are nice. However at this particular location I dont think you get what you pay for. Pull out couch mattress was awful. No discount on parking when staying at the hotel. $30 per day is outrageous. $14 drinks at the bar is also outrageous. No continental breakfast. And Im not paying $12 for my kids to eat a bagel. We went next door to Panera.I have an issue with the responsiveness of the front desk. I left my kids swimsuits hanging in the closet to dry and forgot them. I called the front desk 30 minutes after checkout & they said theyd contact housekeeping & call me back. No one ever called. I called the next day & they said theyd check and call back. No call. I called the 3rd day, same thing, no call. I called the FOURTH day & they said theyd check, and called me back & said there was no swimsuits in the room. Maybe because they waited 4 days to actually check????
I cannot say enough about this hotel and the staff. We booked our wedding hotel block with them and from beginning to end it was an amazing experience. The hotel itself is gorgeous. Our guests all loved their stay and the staff (especially Kristin and Nicole) always made sure we were happy and catered to every one of our needs. We also planned our rehearsal dinner with them in their private outside terrace and could not have been happier with it. Kristin always went out of her way to make sure that I was taken care of, even setting up a breakfast spread in the morning for myself and my bridesmaids while we got ready for my big day. I highly recommend this hotel and do not have a bad thing to say about it!
My stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating. Probably the best thing about this hotel (for us) is the Front Desk Supervisor Georgia, who from the beginning of our stay, until the end, went out of her way to make our stay perfect. The hotel lobby and restaurant are beautiful. The rooms are very nice and the beds are SO comfortable. Even the food in the restaurant is fantastic. The chef was always accommodating to out allergies (we were so grateful for that). We ate here several times during our 12-day stay, one of the main things that kept bringing us back to the restaurant was Jadixa, she definitely makes you want to come back with her bubbly personality, and fantastic service. They didnt have room service for food orders but you could pick up and bring food to your room, which was fine with us.My one little complaint is valet, some of the guys are pretty young and perhaps dont know how to handle a car very well but they do give you the option to accompany your car when they park it and I definitely will be doing that when I return. Oh and the location is also perfect! Within 200 feet of this hotel theres a great shopping mall, huge movie theater, high-end restaurants, grocery store, Walmart, Target, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Fridays, Chipotle, Buffalo Wild Wings, Five Guys and Barnes and Noble etc etc etc) what else do you need lol.
Very nice hotel and very clean. Had some staff issues with attitude and not being available, particularly at the front desk when they appeared to prefer socializing with each other behind the wall rather than up front where we could get their attention.Really nice rooms with nice feature of video connection to the television to work with it as a separate monitor, although no cables were provided.Bathroom is really big, but there is absolutely zero counter space for you to put your toiletries in the morning while getting ready.
Our family attended a family medical conference at this hotel and stayed in the mobility accessible room. The hotel is very attractive and the staff were friendly. The bathroom in our room was easy to use. The bed was much too high for an easy transfer from my wheelchair and I required assistance from my husband. He mentioned this to the front desk staff at check-out. Our daughter, who is a track athlete, liked the fitness room. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was pricey for a family of 4. We would stay in this hotel again but may prefer to bring breakfast items with us.
All my 16 nights at the hotel were so perfect. The staff were so nice to us! Having 5 teenagers was a lot of work for the staff but they did a great job in making us feel at home. The White Plains train station , shopping malls, cinemas, and restaurants are a walkable distance. The hotel was so clean! The rooms had great space. It was really a home a way from home!
My stay was amazing! The greeting staff were very courteous and knowledgeable and answered any and all questions immediately. They were so polite as well! When we entered the room I was amazed at the decor and layout. I wish my house looked that nice. My bed was comfortable and clean and I was glad to be able to control the thermostat! Checkout was also a breeze!
Im so comfortable in this space. I feel safe and relaxed at all times. The beds and pillows are so comfortable its tough getting up in the morning. The little fridge is amazing and theres no shortage of towels. The staff is awesome!! They are so polite and attentive, every exchange is a pleasure. When I need to unwind this hotel never disappoints.
We had a suite with two queen beds. The room was spotless and odor free. We slept great in the comfy beds. The suite had a tv in the sitting area as well as one facing the bed. Both worked great. It was such a pleasant, comfy setup. The only negative was when we came back to the hotel at 11:30 Friday night with 4 friends for drinks and found the bar closed. They have a great lobby area that we enjoyed with our friends, but were embarrassed that we had offered that drinks would be on us, and then couldnt deliver. All of the staff were super pleasant, from the valets to the check in staff to the bartender. We had appetizers at the bar in the afternoon and they were excellent. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend the hotel, just bring your own liquor Id you want a nightcap for yourself or your friends.
Great place to stay, Sean helped us in our booking, and also gave us a quite room as requested due to our night shifts. All amenities around, it has valet parking, and also city parking attached, mall is almost in same building with shoprite opened till 11pm, many restaurants around within waking distance. We recommend this place, and it would not disappoint you :)
The hotel was lovely fresh and clean and pretty much up-to-date. The rooms are spacious with a separate sitting room with its own TV as well as two queen size beds. The bathroom with modern and clean, however the lighting is not ideal for putting on make up. Staff are friendly and courteous
My family of 6 really enjoyed staying at this hotel for 3 nights. It had the usual amenities including a gym but also had a smallish but very warm pool. The location was great - right in the middle of White Plains so we could walk to restaurants, movies, mall, etc. Their mandatory valet parking made driving around a bit cumbersome so we just ended up walking around more than anticipated and that was good. They also gave complimentary access to Planet Fitness (in the same building) and that was a great perk! Well be staying there again.
The hotel was a great value for the price. Everything seemed to run smoothly considering they havent been open long. The down side is paying for parking when most other hotels in the area offer it free of charge. The lobby is pretty and has a few comfy place to relax. The rooms are well decorated, however our sliding closet door was very wobbly and seemed like it was breaking already. There were fruit flies in the bathroom, so I think it could have been cleaned better, although the place looked spotless everywhere else.
This property is convenient and in the heart of downtown White Plains. Many places to choose from from restaurants to bars, shopping, malls, movie theater, clubs and lounges, etc, etc. Despite the ridiculous parking fees, I would still use this hotel... just park your car in the municipal parking lot behind the hotel that has long term/hour meters.
The hotel was very nicely appointed. Bed was nice and comfy and the bathroom was FABULOUS! My view could have been nicer, but that really did not take away from the nice experience I had. Will definitely recommend this hotel brand to other and will most definitely stay there again.
I stayed in this hotel for one night. The valet service was the first part of the experience. No problems at all there. The front desk was helpful and very friendly. The overall appearance of the hotel is clean and modern, with neutral base colors accented with bold accents. The shower was excellent, the bed was comfortable and the amenities were very good. Especially liked all the ports for the electronics. The only thing I couldnt figure out was how to make the room a bit warmer.
We spent one night at the Cambria hotel, as a stop-over during a road trip with our toddler. The appearance of the lobby and room blew us away - everything was so modern and new. Everyone from the valet to the check-in personnel were extremely quick and friendly. We had an exceptional waitress during breakfast the following morning. She was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. She even brought out items especially for our child (prior to being added to the buffet). Overall, we had an exceptional experience and will definitely be staying there again in the future.
The Cambria is a modern and chic hotel, with a friendly and accommodating staff. We have stayed in other hotels in the area and the quality and price cant be matched here. You are getting a great value. I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are spacious with nice city views. The valet make it super easy if you have a car, but being in the heart of white plains (close to public transit and next to target and restaurants) you dont even need a car! We love this hotel so much that we will be staying here when we get married in July. Cant say enough good things about the Cambria.
Great Hotel, hotel is very new. The lobby is beautiful and modern and the design of the hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The decorating and interior design is impeccable. The valet is worth the extra money daily as you want to avoid parking tickets and moving your car. The rooms were cleaned impeccably every day we returned and housekeeping was very understanding if we left the room for the day later than usual. Please keep these suites up to date and modern. Definitely worth the money we spent, and I would stay again!
Overall my stay was nice. Customer service and room quality were both excellent. A huge problem though is that it sounds like there is a gym right above where my room was. All day and until about 11 pm I heard what sounded like weights dropping onto the floor above me. This is totally unacceptable for a high quality hotel. No rooms below the gym should even be in use.
If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. The Cambria is a gem , and a home away from home. I have stayed here 3 times , about 2 two weeks ago.The room was clean, and cozy. The bed is the best, and its reliable and convenient. Lastly the staff is very attentive, professional and down to earth. During such a hard time due to co vid the GM Sean, and front desk went above and beyond to get us what we needed . I will return, and encourage everyone comming here to enjoy a fantastic night at this hotel
Excellent!! This hotel from the beginning of the visit to the end made me want to move out of my house and move into the hotel (lol). The staff is stellar and goes over and beyond anything I have experienced in any hotel I have stayed at. The staff sent me flowers and condolences for the passing of my husband with individual signatures from the staff. The rooms were spotless, the bedding was so comfortable especially under the circumstances I needed some place to really get away.
Cambria White Plains is a beautiful, new, and modern hotel. Rooms are well decorated and clean and the lobby and restaurant area have a great atmosphere. Jadixa in the bar/restaurant area goes above and beyond to accommodate guests, her warm personality and her eagerness to accommodate special dietary requests really make the hotel stay even more enjoyable. The food is also amazing and the front desk staff are wonderful, especially Kenny, who goes above and beyond for the hotel guests. I have been going to the area regularly for the past couple of years and wouldnt stay anywhere else. I highly recommend the hotel.
We stayed here for one night. The check-in experience was seamless and we had no problems with the valet services for our car. The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance of the mall and several restaurants/bars. The hotel lobby is beautiful and our room was a generous size, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable and it was very nice having the two TVs. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was huge. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Due to the nature of my work, I travel a lot and stay in many different hotels. This particular Cambria Suites in White Plains, New York was my choice for the past seven visits to the state. By far one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The room was clean and air-conditioner in proper working order. The shower and restroom in general was very tastefully designed and is always very clean. Internet service is fast and reliable; was able to conduct business-related streaming without any hick-ups. TV has plenty of channels and the overall quality of the rooms is outstanding. Finally, the beds were fine and clean; in my experience, there was never a night during which I couldnt fall asleep quickly. As for some of the negatives, the main issue is just that the check-in process seems to take longer than at most other hotels (but it varies). The only parking option is valet, which has a daily charge. There is no continental breakfast even though there appears to be a spread that looks like one (dont be fooled because those meager offerings can sometimes be more expensive than valet). Minor gripes in all for a frugal business traveler really.
I would love to give my feedback on my stay. I was beyond amazed and impressed. The hotel has so much life and energy in it. I felt it the moment I walked in. The suite took my breath away. It makes a difference when you walk in and it smells so fresh and clean. The color scheme also makes a difference and I must say you have done a heck of a job so far. I will be booking my stay at your hotel again for next month.
As I travelled to the hotel, I began to think I had made a bad choice but to my surprise I had made the perfect selection. The property was excellent, the staff was warm and receiving. I will stay here again and recommend it to friends staying in white Plains or New Rochelle. The breakfast buffet was overpriced for what was available. People would rather spend $25.00/per for fresh cooked eggs or a waffle chef. Think about the presentation, it was worth more than the free breakfasts just for the ambiance but the fare was essentially the same. Upgraded property needs an upgraded breakfast offering.
The lobby is modern, brightly lit, warm and inviting. I checked in and took a second set of elevators to my 8th floor room. The hall was attractively carpeted and quiet. My room was a delightful revelation in that it seemed like two rooms. One side of a room divider was a couch, ottoman, TV, desk with USB port, small refrigerator and microwave. The other side of the divider was a king-sized bed with a soft pillow top, two night stands, a dresser and a good sized tv. The closet was tucked into the middle divider. The shower was a walk-in with plenty of hot water. All-in-all the room was very comfortable. The only drawback was the microwave which sounded broken and very loud. The lobby area also housed a mini-mart for small last minute food or snack items. There was an area for the use of two PCs and a printer. There were comfortable chairs for lounging, a fireplace with a fire, free hot chocolate, and a long high table and chairs for a meeting or dining for a large group. The bar area was very attractive and the dining room was also attractive. I so enjoyed my stay at the Cambria that I am coming back in two weeks and bringing my son and daughter-in-law for a weeks-long visit. I would recommend this hotel to all.
Great rooms and event center! The toilets make a lot of noise, im not sure if this is air pressure or the building is set up on a septic tank system of some sort (its an older renovated bldg) so I wouldnt be surprised. The front desk people are super nice and caring! I love the fact that during covid they only 2 people on the elevator at a time and they have hand sanitizer to use all over the place. Its great place and its VERY clean!! I will definitely come back here again!
I usually enjoy staying at this hotel; however this experience with the staff was very disappointing. I got in very late, had to get up early due to a work meeting. I was rushing I left a sweatshirt behind in the room.I only realized this the following day, promptly called the front desk to see if housekeeping found it.The girl asked me what night I stayed and that she would check with housekeeping, call me right back. The NEXT day (not sure why it took so long) a different girl called,to report that nothing was turned in the night before-yet I had clearly told the first girl I I was there the day before,so it was obvious she had made a mistake. I then relayed this to the girl I was on the phone with, she was surprised since she clearly thought I was there on a different day.She said she would contact housekeeping again and return my call. She actually did return my call the sameday, yet she told me housekeeping had not found anything.I am confident more than 100% certain I left my sweatshirt there;I described the brand, color, the EXACT placement of where I left it.I understand the hotel is not responsible for missing items but it is still clear my belongings did not get up and walk away mysteriously on their own.It is not right to take other peoples possessions, whether they left it there or not the responsibility of the hotel staff is to still turn it in.it makes very uncomfortable to not trust the staff and that is not what I want in a hotel stay
The hotel is really nice for the price paid. You can tell that they cater towards business travelers with the layout of the lobby and rooms. We stayed in two suites which were pretty small but certainly doable. The check-in process was seamless and you can make housekeeping requests by text which we found useful.
The Cambria suites is my new favorite- I travel 3-4 days a week for business and dont always get to pick the hotel. I am a member of several hotel programs, and like them most of the time. So I was really surprised when they gave me the reservation to the Cambria Suites in White Plains. And even though it is in a city, I was not bothered by allot of noise. One night, The really suite made me feel like I got the VIP treatment-And my boss was happy that I stayed within my travel allowance. Gracious-the shower was beautiful-floor to ceiling glass door and great water pressure. I wanted to move in! The hotel looks contemporary and upscale but doesnt feel stuffy. There was a meeting going on and the attendees seemed really happyI usually work in my room and there was plenty of space and outlets, but I decided to take my laptop down to the outdoor terrace and ordered a few little plates of food- I felt comfortable having dinner in my jeans. Everything was just my size and tasted really great.( I highly recommend the CRAB CAKE. It is so delicious. So much lump crab that I dont know how they kept it together). My only regret...I forgot my leftovers in the min fridge in my room.
The lobby was beautiful. Our rooms, large, clean and so comfortable. We were impressed with the hotel overall. Our only comment would be on the waiter/waitress service at breakfast. To say they were slow would be a compliment. When guests come to breakfast, once seated, we shouldnt have had to wait 20 minutes for a cup of tea or coffee. There were only two other tables taken in the restaurant, so there wasnt even a crowd to use as an excuse.
Pros: hotel clean and modern, breakfast and dinner excellent, valet good, internet goodCons: overcharged me $40 per night at checkout which was corrected after I brought it to their attention.Maids didn’t clean our room at all one day. Didn’t replenish toilet paper and had to call. Always left 3 sets of towels even though we had 4 people in room. They should pick up on this by day 5. Windows need sound proofing. Very loud noises from road woke me several times during the night. Second time my family had stayed here so I should have remembered before I booked again. Typical to hear sirens all hours of the night. Oh and also upon checkin I had to ask for the breakfast coupons for each person. At first they tried to tell me it was only for 1 person but then luckily the other woman at the front desk corrected noting I had registered all 4 people. My guess is many people don’t catch this loophole when booking but luckily I did. Between this and the overcharge at checkout I am not very trusting of this hotel now.
Treat yourself to a classy stay. Good location for shops and restaurants. Convenient shuttle, however it doesnt run on weekends. Delicious breakfast buffet yet a touch pricey. Quiet building! The amenities you seek while traveling: wifi, easy biz center and printing. COMFY mattress. Good layout of rooms -- separation of mast with a sofa bed. Overall a nice place to stay with good-natured, friendly staff.
This hotel is quite new and extremely well set up for business travelers. Plenty of workspace and accessible plugs in the room. The bed was comfortable and the A/C worked. The lobby/bar area was excellent for working as well. Several good restaurants within a short walk. Theres a free shuttle for locations within 5 miles and to/from the WP airport. The staff was very helpful. Will definitely stay there again when Im in the area.
We had a long term stay (2 rooms for 2 months) at Cambria based on all the positive reviews we saw online. And I can say that all was very true. The hotel itself was very nice in a great location. The rooms were large and amenities were great... high quality breakfast, easy to park via valet system, spacious and welcoming lobby area, good exercise room, etc. Most importantly, the staff was truly amazing. Everyone, from the front desk, office management, valet, restaurant staff, cleaning staff, maintenance, were all super positive and very eager to help out in any way. They made us feel at home, got to know us and made us absolutely comfortable in what has been a challenging situation for the family while we were getting our house fixed up. I would highly recommend this hotel -- great value for money and the friendly service is a huge plus!
Very accommodating staff. There was a misunderstanding when we booked/checked in, but they upgraded us to a bigger room at no cost. The hotel itself is gorgeous and brand new. Generous and spacious rooms, with more then enough TVs and amenities. We will definitely come back!
It was a great stay. Thats the general message here. Not much to criticize either. The shower was very clean, no evidence of mold currently or in the past. The bed, very comfortable and I had the impression the sheets were cleaned thoroughly before. The temperature of the room was very easy to set from the wall thermostat. I could even open the window to let some outside air in. Im not sure this is available in all rooms, I stayed in the suite with a King size bed.Other than that the stay was perfect. The staff were very accommodating, I checked in early (10 minutes) no problem. I even inquired about the possibility of checking out late and this wouldnt have been a problem if needed (I didnt). I didnt take advantage of the breakfast so I have no comment about that but the area in which it was served looked very nice, very modern looking. Unfortunately they dont permit self-parking in their garage and the valet parking is $25 a night. I avoided this though by parking on the street. Apparently though, there is a public garage only a block away I dont know but it might be cheaper than the valet price.
I was referred to this hotel by Signature Flight Support and it was an amazing stay for the night. My fitness needs were met with the fitness center, the breakfast was perfect for my morning routine, and the room was beautifully furnished and spacious for me. Great staff. I would like to comment the morning guy (I forgot his name) bringing all the valet cars in a timely manner. He was so busy but did it with such enthusiasm. Please applaud him for his great service and haste.
The hotel was beautiful, well decorated and lots of space in lobby for relaxing with TV’s and private spaces. The room was spacious and very comfortable.Staff were friendly and accommodating. I felt breakfast could have been more reasonable with a la crate selections.
My wife and I stayed here while attending an event in White Plains. Excellent location and excellent hotel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped and the lobby is great for relaxing and meeting friends. Bar and food availability is a real plus. It was especially nice to be able to order breakfast to order. Also restaurants and shopping is close by for walking to. We have stayed here 3 times now and when in the area will stay again.
My stay so far at the hotel has been quite nice. The bed is comfortable. The room is clean. The staff is friendly. Parking is $25 per night. They have a pool. They have a full bar with a restaurant. My only complaint is the water pressure. Next time Im in town I will definitely choose this hotel again. Also Waters at the snack shop are only a dollar. if you tell him you need to pay with a credit card they dont know how to do it l. As they cant charge it to the room and they end up being free.
Very rare in todays world that you experience such customer service. Checking into the Cambria Suites Hotel was a dream. Manager Georgia, Dazira and Sunny genuinely care that you have a good stay and couldnt be more pleasant to deal with. Its nice to be greeted by such positive people. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel does not fall short in any area. Have already recommended to a friend coming to town.
This was my first visit to this hotel. The rooms overall appearance was perfect. Very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. The bar is stock really well. The bartender Kenny introduced us to a new IPA, Ithaca Flower, truly delicious. The staff is very friendly. Nice lobby to just relax, read a book in front of the fireplace, have a drink or just watch TV.
I enjoy staying in the Cambria Suites. The rooms are clean and up-to-date. The lobby is inviting and the staff is very friendly. It feels like a small New York apartment, with an area to watch TV and relax, another to sleep and a great shower. I would highly recommend and will continue to stay at this hotel for future visits!
I had a wonderful stay at the Cambria, it is a phenomenal hotel. The amenities of the hotel and the room in which I stayed were excellent. But the best part of my stay, and what I will fondly remember always, is the staff. The staff were all extremely courteous and kind and helpful, and they seemed to genuinely care about me, which was evident each and every time I needed some help or advice. I especially want to thank Georgia, Angela, and Tyrell for all of their help. From the beginning of my stay and until the end, I felt so comfortable and relaxed. Thank you all, once again.
The staff from the reception to the restaurants were always friendly and helpful. The room which was a suite had plenty of space and a separate area to work and the internet was fast and had no trouble with connections at all.Housekeeping was good. We were stuck in the hotel on a working day when there was a snow storm and the hotel had plenty of space in the lobby to be able to continue with work without interruption. The gym was small but adequate for a workout. The location close to the centre of town was a plus.
My girlfriends and I stayed at this hotel for a bachelorette party 11/1/16. The hotel itself is hard to miss if you blink (55357)(56834) only because theres so much going on in Westchester. The hotel itself is very fancy and high end. The bathrooms are massive and very clean. The staff was always smiling and outgoing. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice comfortable bed. Also, a huge thank you for the military discount. They love their veterans. One negative thing I will say is: They told us breakfast was free in the AM and when we went downstairs, they said $16.99 each. Not okay. They should have said that when we checked in. There was 9 of us. We couldve planned accordingly.
This hotel was chosen by the hosts of the wedding we attended. The location was great and we enjoyed walking, shopping and eating in local spots. The reception staff were warm and welcoming. We were disappointed that the rooms didnt get cleaned until the late afternoon, which was very inconvenient in terms of getting ready for our events.
Pleasantly surprised at how nice and updated the hotel was. Bed was comfortable. The room was set to 80* and was really hot. It kept reverting back to 80* so just shut it off and opened the window. Lovely room with a mice living area and a really large walk in shower
Nice size suite. small living room with 2nd TV was helpful. Comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly staff responded quickly for adjustment of heater fan. Very clean. Adequate closet and dresser space. All for a fair price. Conveniently located near restaurants and malls.
I have beenany times. All rooms are nice suites, in good condition. Personal in very attentive and friendly. They have a small gym and a pool but if you want, they also have an arrangement with a bigger gym nearby. I have not tried breakfast but looks good. Around the hotel there are many places to eat. All this with a very reasonable price, so what else can you expect!
The rooms were spacious and immaculate. Valet service for the car was prompt and courteous. The breakfast buffet had ample choices. the server went above and beyond in kindness and prompt service. We were delighted by the location which was close to restaurants and shopping. I would stay there again.
I just recently stayed here for work and had a great experience. Everyone was very respectful and helpful. The bartender was very sweet and friendly. The room was gorgeous and in a great location. The only thing that kind of stunk was the valet service. You often waited a long time to get your car, or to even wait for the valet to come back to his post. Kind of frustrating. Also - the TV channel selection was absolutely awful. You pretty much got all Home Shopping networks and advertisements and then roughly 5 different news stations.
The Ambience of this hotel is wonderful. I am extremely happy with the modern features, and the decorum. The glass shower is so wonderful. The Double TV in the room is so convenient. It’s definitely a home away from home. The employees are warm and friendly, and they treat you as family. Especially as a returning customer, so I highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel locates very convenient place, guests can enjoy dining and shopping. Facilities are crean and new. Hotel staffs are so friendly. Besides, lemonade is awesome!Guests can use rentacar service on site. This seems to be so convenient. And those who BORROW car there can enjoy 10% off. But be careful that afterservice is not good, and those who BRING BACK the car cannot eojoy such discount! (like me!)
I spent one overnight here. I pretty much only used the room and WiFi, no breakfast or fitness center usage. The king suite was nice, with a large bathroom and plenty of room. Everything in the room worked properly. The bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is convenient to many restaurants/shops in the downtown White Plains area. Would definitely stay here again.
The facility is brand new, the staff is very accommodating and the service had been great. As a frequent traveler, I negotiated a rate, stayed at this location for 2-3 times per month for 8 months, have been loyal and not ventured elsewhere. Just recently I called to make a reservation and, because the hotel was full I was informed I had to stay 2 nights minimum. In all my years of travel oftentimes frequenting a favorite location, not once was I refused my rate because the hotel was full. As a matter of fact, most facilities go out of there way to accommodate their loyal fans.
This hotel was fabulous! From the valet service to the warm and inviting decor, this hotel is a great place to stay when in new york. The bathroom was really nice and different. No stubborn shower curtains to pull. All glass. Bed was comfy and felt like i was sleeping on a cloud. Very very close to shopping as well. Across the street as a matter of fact. Cant wait to go back this year.
I booked rooms for my self and my cousins during their vacation. The hotel has a great location close to all shopping center by short walk. Especially, It close to Thai restaurants. The room was clean and new. The bed is very comfort. Bathroom is pretty big and clean. Internet wifi connection is very fast. I can also watch the tv with so many channels. Overall I would love to stay more on this hotel.
This hotel never disappoints. The entire staff is fantastic, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are large, clean, well decorated and very comfortable. There is 2 TVs in every room. The internet is incredibly fast, free and reliable (which is almost unheard of in a hotel). The lobby is beautiful, classy and well decorated. Everything is still like brand new here. Oh and Check in is fast!!!There is no doubt this is the best location in the area!!
Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was a good size (single King bed). The bed was very comfortable. There was a seating area semi separated from the bedroom area which had a 2nd tv. The bathroom was very clean with a modern basin style sink and a large shower with glass doors. Overall a very nice experience.
Good price. Comparable parking pricing to other garages. A deal for more than a one night stay would be a nice option though. Breakfast was good but pricey. I wish coffee and some of the buffet options were included or at least reduced in price. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and very well laid out with plenty of space. Shower was really awesome.
I had complications because I did not book my room directly through the hotel. Nevertheless, Shantel (the representative at the front desk) resolved the situation quickly and professionally! Shes a problem solver with award-winning customer service! After working 16 hours, I just wanted to rest and she understood that. When in NY, I wouldnt stay anywhere else...this hotel is reasonably priced, super clean, located at the center of everything, modern, smells great, and has very large rooms. I highly recommend this place. No need to look or stay elsewhere !
As usual, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the overall experience was positive. The bartenders are especially pleasant and focus on quality presentation and best in class interaction with the customers. I enjoy them so much that I cant go up to my room at night without stopping at the bar for a nightcap. The room is quite spacious and comfortable to move around in. My biggest criticism comes from the quality of the pillows provided. There are 4 pillows to a bed, and not a single one has any amount of firmness to them. I constantly find myself folding and doubling up pillows in hopes of getting enough support for my head.
I only have stayed here once but I will definitely be back! Great location right in the heart of White Plains only a short walk from the movie theater, bars, restaurants. I reserved a standard room and it was HUGE! Had a living room sitting area, queen size bed and massive shower. I did not go to the bar or restaurant but the menu looked like typical bar food. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and courteous going every extra mile to ensure your stay is pleasant. The bed itself was very comfortable and they gave plenty of pillows.
I stayed at Cambria in downtown White Plains one night and it was great. Check in was fast and easy and the person who checked me in even texted me once I settled into my new room to make sure I was happy. The room was very clean and spacious and I had a great night sleep. Would highly recommend, also just down the street from the Starbucks.
Excellent hotel: The rooms are spacious, elegant, and modern. The customer service is also terrific, which really makes the difference between a good hotel and an excellent one.The staff works hard to keep up the quality of the hotel, and the rooms and common areas are very clean and well-cared for. The hotel desk representatives and managers like Ravi are very professional, responsive, and interested in making sure your stay there is a satisfying and good experience. Kudos to the security person at night too for keeping an eye on security, and even helping with other guest needs (e.g., room and key changes), as well as service people like Edgar, whom you can see continuously working hard around the hotel - both were very professional and courteous, as all the staff were.Like all hotels, they have some limitations regarding the building (some upper-floor rooms are a bit noisy due to the air conditioning units on the roof, but also have better views), but they do go out of their way to solve any issues and accommodate you whenever possible. Valet-only parking is perhaps single biggest drawback, but it seems theyre working to make that as flawless an experience as possible (i.e., you can text ahead of time to request your car to be brought up from the garage). There is also pay-by-the-hour parking just adjacent to the building in the mall, and metered parking on the street too. There are numerous options for shopping and eating within a two block radius too.All-in-all, we had a great experience at this hotel and would both recommend it and return as guests.
What a perfectly charming, spacious hotel. I never stayed here before and found it while searching hotels in White Plains, NY. It turned out to be a great find. The room is beautiful with comfortable beds, a lovely sitting area and 2 TVs. In addition, the bathroom was large with a gorgeous glass enclosed shower. The hotel staff was warm and welcoming and always eager to be helpful providing directions, restaurant choices, arranging transportation, etc. I particularly liked the huge gorgeous lobby which provided extra large sitting areas and private business stations where you could sit back and get a little work done. Its location is perfect as it is within walking distance to restaurants, stores and the stunning Westchester Mall. I would never hesitate to stay here while in White Plains.
While the hotel and staff were quite nice, all the rooms are described as suites even, say, the king suite. However, its not really a full suite -- which the dictionary definition says is a set of rooms -- its just a single room with only barely a 1/3rd wall. If the misleading advertising doesnt bother you, though, the staff was really quite nice and it was quite clean, etc., an overall nice place to say except for my initial disappointment.Update: The staff saw my comment above and replied to me very nicely -- apparently theyre looking into describing the rooms as studios instead. I have to admit, Im impressed that theyre so responsive and looking into adjusting their phrasing to be accurate, so Im increasing my star rating considering that everything else about the staff was top notch.
Overall a nice hotel. The bathroom is a bit awkward and affected my comfort, but the bed was fabulously comfortable. Amenities I verified prior to booking the hotel were not I expected based on conversation with staff. Printer was broken, wifi disappointing, local car service/shuttle not convenient/dependable in my experience. Seems like it would be a nice place to stay for pleasure and comfort, maybe not for business or a work trip.
The hotel is well located with lots of choices for food and coffee and shopping in White Plains. The lobby area is well lit with lots of spaces for meeting. The room was spacious and clean. Wifi was free. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our group comfortable and take care of all of our needs. Above average experience for this level of hotel.
My first stay here at this new property. Great location in the heart of downtown within easy walking distance to the upscale Westchester Mall, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. As a new property you would expect it to be in excellent condition and it doesn.t disappoint. Very nice spacious suite, great bathroom/shower, and a multitude of TV channels if thats your thing. My room was on the 7th floor, and it was very quiet; I was pleasantly surprised considering its location.Breakfast was great with a choice of buffet or made to order (I chose the latter). The views from the bar/ restaurant area are very nice looking over the downtown area.Parking is on site at an underground garage- I arrived via airport transportation so I cannot comment on it.
Amazing place. I loved our room and I would come back here any other day. I would love to try the corner tower king suite next. My boyfriend and I stayed for our anniversary. I completely enjoyed every minute. Love how safe and secure it feels too. The only downside is the parking fee for just one night. Overall amazing and would definitely come back in a heartbeat. Suites feel like a home.
I am a Hilton Honors member and my wife booked this hotel. I have to say the staff were the best I have ever experienced - even better than when I stay at 5 star hotels. Everyone was super friendly and helped us anytime we had questions. The room itself was spacious and clean and I was pleasantly surprised overall. I was not familiar with your chain but now that I am, will stay here a lot more often!
Hotel itself was nice. Poor customer service, business decisions at the expense of paying customers and at the last minute preventing any alternative options. The hotel’s last minute decision to book a party in the lobby preventing our use of the pool, restaurant facility, workout facility and lobby is unacceptable for anyone let alone when such amenities were the very reason we chose to book at this hotel while traveling with 4 young children. Also, I was assured the valet staff would know whether our car would fit in the hotel’s valet garage but there was great consternation when we arrived. This needs to be known by booking staff at time of reservations.
The Cambria Hotel in White Plains is highly recommended. The rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel amenities including the pool, gym, and restaurant are wonderful. Most of all, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They treat you like family and are among the best hotel staff that we have experienced. We will definitely stay again soon!
Very nice hotel near the center of White Plains. Lobby is beautiful, staff was very friendly, didnt get to try anything at the bar. The room was a perfect size, decor was nice, loved the high ceilings (higher than most hotels). All amenities were in the room (microwave, ironing board, fridge, etc) and everything was clean. Definitely planning on staying again
The hotel is new, clean and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The fitness facility was small built more that satisfactory. The food was great. It is centrally located and the choice of restaurants in the area is above compare. I utilized the shuttle service to travel to my client and the drivers were punctual, professional and were willing to engage in conversations about what the area had to offer. I will be staying here every time I need to visit the area.
We had never stayed at a Choice Hotel and therefore had never been to a Cambia Hotel either. This was a very pleasant and positive experience. Very good location within a block of a large mall. The only negative was that the valet (not the hotel) left our car parked unattended with the key on the center console. Not cool in a busy area.
Spending almost two weeks living out of suitcase for business was made a lot more pleasant by this hotel. The location was perfect for my needs and provided great links into NY Central Station on train if required. The room layout is well thought out to work, and was very comfortable and very clean - both of these points are must for me wherever I stay.Shuttle service was extremely professional but I would check in with the desk each night for the following day as it can be a popular service.
Beyond Expectation! The hotel is one of the best I have stayed at. It felt exclusive and the facilities matched this most of the time. The room were the biggest and the best laid out I have ever stayed in and the food/breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was great. Everyone in the hotel was also very helpful and always deal with a smile. I hope I still recall name correctly Georgia and Tia from the reception, they are very professionalism courtesy. You have a beautiful hotel and the elevated classic bar would recommend. Thank you.
The room bathtub failed to hold water, I asked the front desk to look it over and there where no results, I continued to fail through the course of my stay. I had a continued conversation about the Shuttle service, this was asked prior to my booking, during check in and the first morning I needed to use the shuttle I was informed that the shuttle only went north. Had I known this I would have either rented a car or stayed at a different resort. This was a very important amenity for my stay. The food service staff was extremely rude and not very helpful.
Very good value. Good location. Super close to food and close to hospital. There are some bars around if you are into covid parties. :) Special shout out to Danielle. She was working the front desk and is the consummate pro. I dont think I have seen anyone visibly smile from underneath a mask but I could tell she was. I am certain due to covid and a slimmed down staff she was wearing multiple hats and having tasks she didnt sign up for and she did so with grace. She genuinely enjoys helping people. Also Rovi, I think is his name, was super friendly. Sean Meade the GM was very good too. Oh and also the engineer who was doubling as a valet was fantastic! The room it self was very good. I was here for 5 nights dealing with a hospital visit. Im glad I picked this place.
Room clean and comfortable. Unexpected problem handled well by all especially front desk, engineer/shuttle driver who kindly dealt with 91yo mom. I have to give the General Manager extra credit for personally communicating what was going on, and what he was doing about it, and motivating such a professional and personal staff.
You get way more than what you pay for, which is rare now a days. The rooms are huge and very well furnished. The cleaning staff is amazing, my room was spotless. Every member of the staff was very polite and friendly. The valet parking is so convienent. best hotel experience Ive ever had.
We have stayed here before and when I got an email from Cambria detailing the price for Valentines weekend, I knew I wanted to stay there again because the price was so right. Everything was great and we even had dinner at the hotel this time. The menu could be updated some but the food was pretty good.
Very clean new and modern building. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good square footage suites. Bathroom is decent size, sleek and functional. 8th floor views are good enough. Nice spacious lobby with a bar. Didnt have the chance to check out the pool/gym part. Parking is right in target store next door which is convenient but with hourly charges could amount up to $25/day.
Not worth what we paid since the hot water didn’t work. Place was clean and pretty and the staff was friendly. Just wish someone would have provided us an automatic discount- I’m not the type to complain but at that price, to only sleep for a few hours and not have the ability to shower in the room you paid money for is unacceptable. I know things happen but people shouldn’t have to complain to management to receive a discount. We weren’t told that we would have a free breakfast either otherwise perhaps we could have planned for that before we left.
We arrived in the evening and had to leave early in the morning, so we were not able to take advantage of all the amenities the hotel has to offer, but the experience we had was great. The location is excellent, close to shopping and restaurants. Valet service just inside the hotel entrance was a surprise and very convenient for tired travelers. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The double room we had had a separate lounge area with sofa, television and desk. A microwave and minifridge were available but we did not have time to use them. The beds were very comfortable, with great pillows. The lobby was airy and spacious and the inviting bar was located there. The lobby is on the second floor of the hotel. The attendant at the registration desk was gracious, knowledgeable, and helpful. Overall an excellent accommodation.
There are plenty of places to stay in White Plains and around Westchester, but the Cambria is in the heart of everything happening. Easy to get to the train, ample parking and in the middle of City Center, it was an easy choice to make. The room was great, modern, 2 TVs, great bed, excellent bathroom and super friendly staff.
I came here with my family for a long weekend that was planned very last minute. For being on main street, it was pretty quiet too. The beds were comfortable and the employees were all super nice and accommodating. The cleanliness, however, needs improvement. Everywhere the water hit in the shower had dark mold/mildew and dirt. Too many surfaces looked like they were sprayed down with cleaner but not wiped away so there was a runny film. I never had the breakfast but did get a cup of coffee one morning. It was pretty horrible, but maybe Im just picky. I was also disappointed the only parking is valet. $25 a day plus tips (because Im not a jerk) just added to the nightly price. Ive never been a fan of valet, but its the only option. Oh and the gym! I almost forgot, you can hear stuff being dropped and clanked all hours at the gym in the building. All that aside, it was still a nice stay. Ill be back.
The hotel has an excellent location. Walking distance to anything you might need. Nice pool and gym, little store, great bar (wish it stayed open later) fast valet service and wonderful staff. Accommodations, lobby, elevators were all clean, inviting and modern. I would definitely stay there again. I really enjoyed it.
This hotel is amazing. It’s modern, it’s clean, it’s in a great location close to restaurants, movies, and shopping. It’s within walking distance of the Metro-North. The building is beautiful and modern. Our room had a sitting area with a sofa and another tv in addition to the one near the bed! The staff were polite and helpful. I travel a lot for work and leisure. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I highly recommend it.
Stayed here for 14 days in a wonderful efficiency suite. It was lovely, clean and I really enjoyed the stay. the hotel has a deal with Planet Fitness beside the hotel and I was able to keep up my fitness schedule their. The location is great as well because its right down town and lots of places to eat and roam around.
Everything was spot on !!!The place is very cool, and classy. The service was spot on. I do think the lighting in the lounge and bar should be dimmed at night for a better environment. Music can be played of a cool background lounge beats type. Make it more like the W and people will spend more money at the bar.Everything else was amazing, I will be back. This hotel is great for a business trip or just a fun casual get away in White Plains. I will recommend this to my friends, to check out.The rooms are great and comfortable. They are bright and cheey !
We chose the hotel since it was pre-booked for my friend’s wedding. We fly in from out of state and arrive around 10:45am, after already having requested early check in. They fit us in by 11:30am and give us a room that has not been cleaned yet. I call and tell them the room isn’t ready and they were nice enough to come up and exchange keys for another room. This new room was fine. The bar is awful. They have 3 beers on tap, limited mixed drink options, and close by 11am. Even for the wedding after party they wouldn’t stay open. The morning breakfast is OK, but not $15/person OK. I was under the impression the breakfast was covered by the wedding venue (this is partly the fault of the people planning the wedding not mentioning it being personal $, and me for not explicitly asking). But it was a $33 surprise I was not delighted about.Parking is actually pretty good, and the valet team were expedient even during rush checkout time. If the service was mediocre, it would have been overpriced IMO.All in all, it was overpriced for the experience and amenities, and nothing really stood out as “good or better” except the valet team. I’d definitely choose another option or Airbnb it if I end up in the area again.

2022-05-24Positive: The room was spacious and clean. The location was excellent for dining and clubbing. But must impressive was the staff. They were friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Negative: Bar and restaurant were closed due to Covid, but I wouldn¿t have used them anyway. So many great places to eat and drink in walking distance!

2022-04-21Positive: Nicely appointed room. Modern lobby. Friendly check-in. Negative: The hotel only really offers you a room. No real street level entry or presence. No doorman, concierge or staff other than front desk. No parking, closed bar and restaurant and no airport shuttle. You are just sleeping here with no amenities.

2022-02-04I travel quite a lot for work and one thing you really dont want to have to worry about is whether you will have a comfortable and stress free hotel to return to at the end of a long day.The Cambria in downtown White Plains had that covered.Ill start with the parking situation because that is your first stop. For this hotel, parking is essentially the first impression for the place. I generally attempt to find some sort of parking option that is self parking with the hotels I visit for work because I am in and out of the hotel so frequently and multiple times a day and night. This hotel only has valet parking. There is no self-parking option associated with the hotel. There is a large parking structure around the corner attached to the shopping center but I am not totally sure on the hours and such. It is a pay by hour garage but again, not sure if it is open 24/7 or not. I never noticed.Straight from the airport, I pulled into the entrance and was met by one of the awesome valets, Tyron. He greeted me right away, was very professional, and helpful. I asked him whether they ran the valet 24/7 or not. The valet is open from 6 am until 10 pm (double check if you are outside of those hours but I believe thats what they told me)I knew that my schedule was going to involve being gone until after midnight most nights and Tyron reassured me by telling me he would pass the info on to the other valets so they would all be aware and that they would leave a space in the holding area there for me to put the car when I returned. He advised me to just park it there, give the keys to the front desk, and they would take care of it.The entire valet team (and Im sorry I didnt get all of their names throughout the week) were great. The hotel is very clean inside and well kept. Everyone I engaged with at the front desk was kind and helpful.Philip checked me in and got everything all set.The rooms are clean and spacious. Theres a nice area to sit and watch tv or work. There is a separate counter area with the coffee maker, fridge, and microwave which was nice. I try to go get some healthier grocery options and such to keep in the room so Im not just constantly eating out while on the road (and especially for the extremely late nights when I get back and everything is closed). There is a concierge line that you use for everything. Im not sure exactly how quick it was but within a few minutes of getting up to my room and settled, I had a text from the front desk asking if everything was good with the room. You can text the number any time if you need anything for the room and you also use the number to text your ticket number whenever you need your car. The valet ticket says to allow 15 minutes but I never waited once. I always tried to give the 15 minutes but even if I didnt, the valets always beat me out there.I dont want to miss any of the people I engaged with by leaving them out but I want the hotel to know that every single person I encountered was professional and kind.I also had a quick interaction with a member of the housekeeping staff. I didnt want to just leave a big grocery bag of trash in my room so I asked her if there was somewhere I could take it. After we worked through the fact that there was a language barrier, I did my best to speak Spanish with her (thanks google) and she insisted I didnt need to worry about that.Like I said, Great experience, check in to check out. This is already a novel but I have to mention the area.Perfect spot. You can walk quite literally right outside the door and have all kinds of food and shopping options. There are several restaurants right there underneath the hotel (on street level), if you walk about 30 seconds, you will see a mall that has a shop rite, target, movies, etc. Go about a block and a half down Main Street, make a left and that entire street is full of food options.

2022-04-23Clean comfortable room and friendly staff. The hotel is located across from a mall and I forgot gym shorts for my workouts. It was great to be able to buy them in a short walking distance from the hotel.

2022-01-19Super spacious, modern, clean and professional. I was greeted incredibly nicely by a lovely gentleman at the front desk who politely gave me my key every though I was about 2.5 hours early to my booking time. They treated me with respect and professionalism, even though I am only 20, I felt like I wasn’t looked down upon because of my age and that was extremely uplifting
