We found this hotel to be very comfortable and conveniently located. All the front desk staff were kind and helpful. The little kitchenette is very little and minimally stocked, but sufficient for a quick breakfast or easy meal. The ADA accessibility is good although the room is a bit small. Being able to wash laundry is a game-changer for those who are staying long.
I absolutely love this hotel. I initially booked a different hotel and was so disappointed that I booked another room here. The differences are night and day. I love that there’s a kitchen (with full size refrigerator, stove, sink and microwave) in each room, makes traveling with children more cost effective when you don’t have to order take out every day. Very comfortable beds, love the bathroom. Everything is immaculate, polite staff. Would definitely recommend!
This isnt a pretentious hotel. Dont come here if you are expecting a fancy pool and drinks. It is comfortable, and the experience is like visiting a close relative. You can cook, the beds and bathrooms are spacious. They have a lending locker with slow-cookers, toaster ovens, board games, etc. There is an affordable snack room - many hotels overcharge. There is a small gym with a nice treadmill, and about 5 other machines, right next to the laundry room. There are 3 floors of rooms accessible by elevator. The place is pet-friendly. There is a small outdoor area, with a grill accessible to anyone 21+. My room had a small stovetop with two burners, a dishwasher, full fridge, a microwave, and a few normal sized cupboards.
Six nights, all of them wonderful. Visiting family for the first time in a year. It was great to have a place a step up from a standard hotel room at the end of a day. The staff is amazing and friendly and helpful. Candlewood properties are new to us, and we are thrilled to know about them and feel assured we will have a good experience in other locations as well.
We were so relieved to come here after our initial stay at the Red Roof Inn. It was so dark, dirty and just felt so uncomfortable we didnt even want to shower! Left after 11 hours - would have sooner but got there so late. But the Candlewood was so accomodating, let us in earlier than normal check in, was beautiful and soo clean! Loved our dog and were very pet friendly. Will definitely stay again.
Positive: Set up well for two. Nice kitchenette that was reasonably equipped. Negative: Room needed deep cleaning. Chose a room with two queen beds but kitchenette was set up with for two only¿ felt there should have been seating for four people. Motel did not offer an extra chair when requested.
We were visiting my folks in Buffalo from PA, we have stayed here before and it’s always a nice spot. This time I requested to have a room on top floor and they were very accommodating and has us away from elevators. Staff are always super polite and professional. I highly recommend this hotel especially comfortable for a family.Jenn
The location is great but thats where the positive ends. The low water pressure in the shower to the HVAC only working if you walk around so dont get comfortable. Then if you leave you come back to a hot room. I found the bed to hard as concrete. This property is a hard pass for my next stay in this area. There are plenty of neighboring hotels in this area.
For longer stays, self-catered, a great value at a good location.Management and staff were as good as can be. Sadly, many guests were laborers of some sort, who had bad habits of order and cleanliness (not hotels fault, of course).Room seemed to have been converted form other type of room, and lighting and kitchen layout were not as good as expected.
We have stayed in this hotel before and were not disappointed with this stay. Our rooms were clean and quiet, beds comfy, towels fluffy, and everything worked great. There is no breakfast at this hotel as is normal for this brand but there are plenty of fast-food and sit down restaurants to choose from nearby. It is easy to get to Niagara Falls from this hotel and other locations around Buffalo. The only thing to note is the ramps off the highway, for both the north and south bound lanes, are closed in the evening, for construction, making it very challenging to get to the hotel at night. The hotel should probably give alternative directions on its website as the double closure even confused our GPS, making us resort to an old fashioned map to get back to the hotel. This is a temporary problem however, and not the fault of the hotel. I would still stay here. And you cannot hear any of the construction noise at the hotel.
From the Manager, to the Front desk staff, everyone worked to make the stay great. Was in the area for a 40th year class reunion. Everyone was so accommodating. We left early in the morning, forgot clothing, but the staff stepped up and is sending our clothes. Above and beyond. So thankful
The staff was friendly and the room was like 99% clean. The only problem we had is that the dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes. Im guessing they forgot to look in there. The bed, bathroom, tv area, hallways, etc were all looking clean and in good shape. If the room, including dishwasher, is clean next time, Ill change this to 5 stars.
When I read the reviews for this hotel there were many comments about how clean the rooms were. I found them to be poorly cleaned. Our first room had two paper bags full of personal belongs left in the closet and the carpets in dire need of a vacuum cleaner. I doubt it had been cleaned at all or they might have noticed the bags of clothing and hair products. The second room they gave us was slightly better. I would not recommend this hotel. On the positive side, all the staff was very nice.
This was exactly what I needed for my stay in Buffalo. After looking for an Airbnb and deciding they were all way overpriced, Candlewood suites was cheaper than most Airbnb’s with greater value. It came with housekeeping, free laundry, close well lit parking, snow removal, cable, internet. I felt safe the entire time I was there. It is close to shopping and dining. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They had pizza parties and even offered a Thanksgiving dinner while I was there. The hotel was kept super clean. My room was spotless. And the beds were super comfortable. I can’t say enough great things about my stay.
Nice and affordable hotel but when I placed my reservation for a double bed room, checked in, the hotel staff issued us a 1 queen bed standard room also tried to compensate for the one bed that we didnt receive by giving us a rollaway bed. I was not pleased because if my reservation was locked, it is to my understanding that the staff took it upon themselves and gave away our dbl bed room to someone. Leave reservations the way that they are, reservations are placed for a reason.
We tried this hotel based on the reviews and price (we used IHG points). We were very happy with everything and we extended our stay several times. The room was clean, no odors, the beds were comfy and the kitchenette was fully loaded. Covid rules were in effect and posted everywhere. Staff was very helpful and polite. In close proximity to many department stores and major highways but in a quiet zone. We asked about a 60 days renting deal, unfortunately it was above our budget. Overall, we recommend this hotel for its price to value and all of the above.
Finally closer to our destination, Niagara Falls. We booked our 2-nights stay here well in advance & Im glad we picked Candlewood.Very satisfied with their wonderful service, welcoming staff & well sanitized cozy rooms with a full kitchen. I must mention the remote control nicely wrapped in a ziplock bag, a small gesture but of great significance. This place is only 20 mins away from Niagara falls state park. The cost we reserved it at, was decent, taking into account the long weekend crowd & the covid extents.Although the location doesnt serve breakfast, the restaurants/diners were only a few minutes away. This was our second stay at Candlewood & I highly recommend this family-friendly hotel.#RoadTrip #ToNiagaraFalls
For a hotel in this class, it was sorely lacking and disappointing. No breakfast and no pool especially when other equal value hotels in area provide both. Hotel desperately needs refurbishment and carpet was very dirty. Bathroom was excellent and clean. Free parking and reasonably fast internet were appreciated.
This is our go-to hotel when visiting family in this area with our dog. Best feature for me is full-sized refrigerator rather than the dinky size most hotels provide. It really saves money, even if its only used for two meals and snacks each day. Supermarkets and restaurants are all nearby. Guests can use the pool in the hotel right across the parking lot.
I spent 3 nights and I feel their service is excellent, they really takes care of their customers and really very supportive.Good Kitchen facility with good quality of utensil.Hotel was very clean and beds are comfortable. It was very nice stay and I would surely recommend this hotel !
A little aged but clean and comfortable. Our room had a full size fridge, a stove, a microwave, a sink and a dishwasher. They also have a laundry room and gym, and you can even borrow a movie, a crockpot, or other things you might not think you need from the front desk. Would be great for a longterm stay.
The staff is amazing and are at the ready to help make the stay here comfortable and pleasant. The room and common areas are tidy and clean. The rooms are spacious and well equipped for long term stays. I can absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone that travels for business or pleasure.
Once a year I go back to Amherst NY to enjoy the area. I used to essentially live out there for my job 5 days a week for 3 years straight. Im from Syracuse area. There is a reason why I will always drive 2 hours to stay in this hotel.Jackie and her staff are 5 stars. Very friendly and make me feel like I am back home anytime I go there. I walk in and they know me on a first name basis. I CANNOT get that anywhere else. The building inside and out are always well maintained and very clean and tidy. The rooms are always VERY clean and well taken care of. The Candlewood cupboard is always open with snacks and drinks and is clean as well. YOU CANNOT or WILL NOT get this kind of service or hospitality in ANY other hotel in this state. DO NOT HESITATE to stay here. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! You will actually be spoiled and will not want to stay in any other hotel.
Nice place. This review is with comparison with the other Candlewood suites in Perrysburg Ohio that we stayed at. The Candlewood suites in Perrysburg had a very clean room and bathroom as compared to this one. Also, Perrysburg location had free chocolate milk and fruits. I did not find that here. However, the reception staff was friendly and professional.
Our stay went very well from the time of arrival to exit. The hotel was clean with staff always paying attention to safety for themselves as well as the guests. The hotel is in a good location close to attractions and food. The price was decent, the room clean and smelling of fresh paint, and the hotel allowed me to bring my large pet which many others would not; for this reason alone, I will try to stay at Candlewood Suites where ever I may travel in the future :) Excellent stay! Book your trip!
Clean, a bit dated. Beds are firm, pillows are okay but a bit small. Rooms are a good size and accommodated us quite comfortably for a 2 day soccer tournament. Sufficiently stocked kitchen to prep breakfast/lunch and store/reheat leftovers. Enough plugs for us to use and charge all of our devices. 8 in total.Service was excellent and the cupboard at the reception area is always an appreciated touch.Hotel is conveniently located and accessible. Parking was ample.Sufficient tv channels to survive the weekend.Fitness room was small but not busy. Got the job done. Laundry helps for sports tournaments ....
We tried this hotel on a visit to UB because of the vicinity. We usually prefer a hotel with indoor pool but gave this one a try. We were delighted with the service we received (they say Buffalo is one of NY friendliest cities and we would have to agree). The rooms were good and spacious. At the beginning the temperature control was a little odd and it had a slight smell like cigarettes (that is why it didnt get a 5 on all items). The person in reception (which I failed to get the name) was excellent, very friendly and attentive. She gave us breakfast recommendations and after we came back from dinner she saw we had a wine glass and offered us to borrow wine glasses from the Cupboard. We also wanted a different coffee Maker but it was already borrowed by another guest. Overall is was a nice experience, we recommend and will probably come back when in Buffalo.
I enjoyed my 5 night stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean upon arrival but no room services were offered so I had to get my own towels and make my own bed each day, and the trash was never removed from the room for my entire stay. I wound up taking it out myself after a few days. I understand housekeeping not making the beds or replenishing towels daily because its an extended stay hotel, but removing trash would be nice and help keep the room cleaner.
Chose this hotel because of its location off the Thruway and proximity to an event we were attending. We were going to arrive early and check in would have been in the middle of the event. Called Carol at the front desk and she was able arrange an early check in and was professional, efficient and friendly. Will stay again as we are IGH members!
The interior of the hotel is beautiful and clean. The front desk and house keeping staff was great; no issues for me. Check-in and check-out was easy and quick. The room was kept very clean. The room comfortable and had a home feeling to it. I really liked the black-out curtains for sleeping. There was a way for me to adjust the temperature in the room and turn on/off the fan. The Wifi worked well for me for work purposes and personal reasons. The the gym within the hotel was pretty good with the exception of one machine out of service. Would stay again.
Great property. Were able to accommodate me for a noon check in as my afternoon meeting was cancelled. Kelsey was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Nice lobby with a working computer and printer. So many properties I stay at do not care if either works. Huge room for one. Quiet and comfortable. Felt like I was in a small apartment more than a hotel room. Pantry was nice. Delicious hot coffee. Nice gym area. Nothing negative to say here. Will stay here when I can the next year before I retire. Wish I had found this place earlier.
Hotel is nice and clean, staff was very friendly even late the night before Thanksgiving. We were offered pie and dessert in the lobby, that was nice after a long day of driving. We werent told about the room not being cleaned everyday, I guess you have to request it, little disappointing to come back to an un-serviced room everyday. Other than that, the stay was fine
My family stayed for 2 days to attend a wedding. Everything was very clean, not crowded, staff accommodating. The only issue was at checkin. We waited at least 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. It said use the wall phone to call for help and it would forward to a cell phone. It did not.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Candlewood Amherst! It is beautiful, comfortable, clean, and relaxing. My husband and I stayed for relaxation and we will be going back. We both got great sleep and enjoyed the room. My only complaints is that at check in the front desk billed the wrong credit card. My husband gave him the correct card to use. It was a slight smell by the first floor elevator and the outside gazebo could have been cleaner. Overall I highly recommend this place! I am confident you will enjoy your stay. It is one of the best hotel/motel experiences I have had in a long time. Good job!
We just visited the Buffalo area to explore some golf courses in the region. This hotel had good reviews for being clean and all were true. The room was very nice, kitchenette well stocked with utensils you would need to cook a meal and the bathroom is very nice. We had a queen suite and the bed did seem a little on the small size compared to our queen at home, but we were still very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We walked to a nearby restaurant for a nice dinner. Everything was really pleasant about our stay and I would recommend this hotel whether you are staying for a day or a week. We stayed two nights, but would have been comfortable there for much longer!
I always stay here when in town to visit my 92 yr old mom. I like the friendliness of staff, ease of getting fresh linen. I have never had a problem with noise when staying here. Only thing was this last time I had no paper or pen in my room which I always make notes on and there was no popcorn left in my room like in the past nor any available for purchase.
We stayed there when dropping our daughter off at school and fell in love with the place. Super comfortable, really nice staff and was really just overall pleasantly surprised! We will definitely stay there again - our new go to from now on when we are in Buffalo or anywhere else for that matter!!
Good value but disappointed that no complimentary breakfast was available. Complimentary coffee in lobby and especially room would be better with real creamer-room only had powdered creamer. Bed pillows were not that comfortable so bring your own. Towels were great. Extra blanket on bed would be nice.
Whenever possible, The Candlewood Hotel is my first choice when in Amherst, NY. My daughter attends the University and it’s directly across from the campus which is very convenient. The hotel is always very clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful too. I feel very safe when staying here. I love the kitchenette and the bathrooms are a nice size.
We were so happy to stay at such a nice hotel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were very courteous, professional and helpful with anything we asked of them. Although the bed was very high and difficult for us to climb into, we had a most comfortable nights sleep. We loved having a kitchenette with plates, pots, dishes, silverware, stove, dishwasher, dish detergent, full refrigerator and a store in the hotel to purchase items to snack on or heat. The hotel gym was clean and it was nice to be able to get a little exercise in. We would hightly recommend staying at the Candlewood Suites.
The suite was nice for us to be able to cook and all. Came with everything you needed except the food. Only thing I didnt like was being told I had a queen bed when it was actually a full which was way to small for two adults. I HAVE A QUEEN at home. I know what it is. Other than that it was cool
Very good hotel!!! Location is perfect for shopping, restaurants and acess to highways. Always clean and quiet. My only compliant would be the water pressure was so low, taking a shower took much longer than normal. It was like a sprinkle of water. Beds are comfortable, plentiful towels, their cable offers more channels than many other hotels (which was a big plus). This is always my first choice when staying in Amherst.
The front desk staff was very accommodating and nice. The rooms were very clean. Cleaning staff was very quiet during the day as they went about their duties which is always appreciated. This hotel.was.situated in an area that I preferred staying. I would definitely stay there again in similar circumstances.
We came to Candlewood in Amherst to visit University at Buffalo. The two of us felt safe and comfortable in the hotel. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable and linens were clean. The sofa bed, however, was uncomfortable. There was a large dip in the middle of the bed. There were many channels on the T.V. The large fridge and other appliances were clean and convenient to have in a hotel room. The towels were nice and the water pressure in the shower was good. Some of the guests were coming in from midnight to 3 a.m. and were being loud, but that is expected at a hotel. The hotel was easy to get to from the thru-way. There were plenty of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. There is no continental breakfast but there is coffee, not good coffee though. Overall, this hotel is clean, safe, a good value, and has a nice location.
This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are very pleasant, courteous, and helpful. Couldnt ask for nicer people. The room was spacious, very clean, modern, kitchenette very well-equipped. Temperature in the room was perfect. Location was ideal for getting anywhere in the area...right near major roadways. We would definitely stay here, again, if ever up in the Buffalo area. No complaints. It felt like a home away from home!
We stayed on the first floor for one night during a quick visit to Buffalo. Our room was clean, neat and was stocked with four large bath towels. The refrigerator was clean and had plenty of space. We liked the full compliment of glasses and flatware and the TV was easy to operate, as well. Throw in a friendly, helpful desk staff and thats why Candlewood Suites Buffalo-Amherst deserved a five-star review.
The problem what occurred, can be prevented, if cleaning personal do their job, as assigned.Bathroom sink was clogged and water drain very slow...even water pressure was very weak all over the room(kitchen sink, shower, bathroom sink).Somehow service personal cleaned it themself without technicians. However, it is not good, when you are expecting and paying for fully functional room in advance. But water pressure, was anyway extremely low...
No funny smells or odors from the room. Sheets and towels were fresh smelling. Lots of sleep pillows. Free coffee all day. Liked the kitchenette layout, full refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher and utensils . Nice size room. Furniture is in nice condition. Lots of TV/HBO channels to choose from. Great location. I liked the small snack shop and the prices were very reasonable. Staff was very pleasant. Would stay here again.
From the moment you enter the lobby, you feel a certain home away from home quality. The friendly staff is there to assist with any concerns you may have. There is a small room that is only accessible to hotel guests. This room has an assortment of things you may have forgotten, snacks, milk, fruit, and complimentary items such as tea, coffee, hot water, etc. The rooms are unique, not the basic setup that other hotels offer. The location is close to many stores, restaurants, very nice grocery stores. Amherst is a very beautiful city!!! You will love this hotel!!!
The hotel is pretty nice and the staff was very friendly. The suite was spacious and clean. Where I had a problem was with the housekeeping. They only do it once a week. I like when I come back from the day to have the bed made and fresh towels in the bathroom. You can go to the front desk whenever you like to get new sheets and towels but it seemed a little tacky to me. My stay was for 11 nights so I ended up having to go ask for things like soap, coffee, tp, and garbage bags in addition to towels and sheets. They should offer a light housekeeping upgrade for a few extra bucks.
I stay here when travelling for work and its pretty good. The bed is the most comfortable bed ever. I really enjoy the cupboard where you can buy snacks and drinks by without having to really interact with anyone. The staff is pretty pleasant and helpful. I love the new wifi that automatically signs me in now that you use your IHG member number. Great idea. The room could be updated a little more as the carpet was coming apart in one area but aside from that I had a great stay. Always do.
Rooms are extremely clean and very comfortable. Perfect for a short or extended stay. Most of the staff members are friendly but some front desk staff members were not very nice and did not greet us kindly (condescending). Would recommend this place for your stay if you dont care about front desk service.
I spent almost 3 months here and every morning & evening I was greeted by name. I felt like I was living with family right from the General Manager, Jacqueline to the ladies that took great care of our rooms. I loved the social time during the weekly b-ques on Tuesday evenings. The access to the beautiful pool & jacuzzi next door was an added bonus. The rooms were well equipped with everything you might need for a short or longer stay. If not, you could probably find what you were looking for in the cupboard. Internet access was awesome!I recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a comfortable, affordable & friendly stay in our area.Thank you Jacqueline & my family! I will see you all again.
Unexpected experience for the price paid. This place is exceptionally good in every way . The staff are genuinely nice and helpful. The rooms are clean, roomy and comfortable. For extended stay, you can expect a well equipped kitchenette. With me and my wife and two children, we spent a couple of days comfortably.
2 Queen Bed suite was adequate sized, and included all of the basic amenities that Candlewood offers: refrigerator w/ice maker, sink, dishes, plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc. Range top is two burner only; microwave, dishwasher...adequate supply of items for operating. Closet space was very good. Bathroom was clean and well supplied. Beds were 60 w x 78 l, so perfect for my tall son and myself. Only issue was the glasses in the bathroom. One still had water in it, even though it was covered with a top. Not sure if these get checked and washed by staff on a regular basis. This hotel was the least expensive choice in an area that offers many options. Walking distance to several eateries, and quick drive to shopping and dining options.Prices in Candlewood Cupboard are a bit high, but it is basically a Convenience Store, and was pretty well stocked. FREE COFFEE, which was a nice touch.
I had no complaints with my stay. It was very comfortable. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The bathroom was stocked with plenty towels so I didnt need to request any additional. The beds were comfortable and room was spacious. Parking was easy to find but a little tight late night. The hotel is close to stores and plenty places to eat in the area. If I need to stay in Buffalo this hotel would be my first choice.
The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean and supplied full suite kitchen area stocked with cutlery, dishes and pots. We encountered a few downsides. One being the prior guests may have been cooking with foods that contained curry, as the room did have a distinct smell from cooking but it wasnt unbearable. We were also unable to get a late check-out as when we requested this they had too many other late check-outs already, so they were not able to accommodate this. The hotel could use a little more buffering in between floors as the upstairs guest were heavy on their feet, but it appears that they were jumping around, so it could just be kids. We were very happy with the hotel room as it was clean, comfortable
This was our first time staying at a Candlewood Suites. I booked the room when I learned it was a pet-friendly hotel. It was my first time taking our dog into a hotel and I have to say it was very nice. The staff was professional, efficient, and very welcoming! The room was spacious and clean while the kitchenette was very handy. We will definitely stay at Candlewood Suites in the future.
I didnt actually stay here. I came and delivered a grocery order for a customer of instacart. However, the front desk associate was super helpful and friendly. The entire building looked very clean. The room that I delivered to was beautiful. It looked like a whole apartment- with bedrooms, a living room, an entire kitchen, and obviously the bathroom. I will totally stay here the next time were looking for a hotel!
I had to visit this hotel for business purposes. The room was booked by my company. I arrived to find that the parking lot was not cleared very well, as there had been a snow storm the night before. In fact, this was the condition of the parking lot throughout my 2 night stay. This made it difficult as the lot has limited space as it is - especially if you arrive late at night. I wondered if the entire experience would be regrettable based on the condition of the lot, but I was pleasantly surprised! The desk person was very nice and informative. In addition, she gave me an awesome room near the stairs on another floor. The room was up to date in decor, the pillows were non-down but they felt like down (my personal favorite). The bed was so comfy, the bathroom was nice and a good size. The shower head had good pressure. The flat panel TV had satellite (my personal favorite) and the kitchen area was clean and stocked with coffee and even microwave popcorn. I meant to, but did not, use the exercise room - although it looked well equipped and up to date. All in all, I look forward to staying here on my next trip and I will seek out this chain for other trips going forward!
Our family had not stayed in a Candlewood before and were a little nervous about it.We were staying for several days and did not know how the no daily housekeeping thing would work out for us.As it turns out it was not an issue and having the kitchen and full sized fridge was great. We saved money by not eating out as much and the ability to fix a fast breakfast in the room each day was wonderful for our family. The staff was helpful and informative and a real asset.Having the option of free laundry was also a great asset.
As a quick stop on business travel we always find the Candlewood Suites a reliable place to stay. The full kitchen is helpful in fixing a quick breakfast. The rooms are always clean with everything you need in the bathroom for a quick shower. The staff was gracious, answered any questions about the area. Complimentary coffee and tea were appreciated. As always very reasonable when using our IHG points.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff was excellent...whenever we needed more towels etc, there was no problem. Coffee was always ready. We had two queen beds and the room was spacious and beds comfortable. The location is great...near many restaurants. Very clean rooms and the grounds well maintained. The staff was always very courteous! Especially Laurie..made us feel welcome. The free washers and the gym are very convenient. We will be back there again in May.
Candlewood suites are a great place for travelers who want a full kitchenette, comfy beds and desk without breaking the bank. The staff is friendly. They have a well stocked lending closet if you need appliances like blenders, board games etc. Best to being in your own groceries. The convenience store has some nice convenience food but not much in the way of staples. Always reliably clean.
We enjoy the friendly staff. They are always available to assist with any questions or problems like driving directions. The custodial staff is also always available and accommodating. We needed to store luggage and a place was found. The gym was clean and well maintained. I was able to request a late check out and the front staff graciously checked the schedule and allowed it. Parking is abundant and safe.rhe lending kitchen was very handy.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Candlewood Suites in Amherst, NY. The facility really met all of my needs while visiting friends in the area. The kitchen is especially helpful for me, as I have special dietary needs. Although I bought a guest membership at a local gym while in the area, I more often used the one at the hotel, as the facilities were superior to those at the gym. I especially appreciate the mat provided for stretching, which I rarely find in a hotel gym. My room was quiet and afforded me good sleep.
This is a very nice hotel. We have stayed there each year for the last 4 when we visit friends in Buffalo. Access to major roads are a plus. Being able to get own towels was nice feature. Price is very good. About 60% less than hotels near Falls on Holidays. Many good places to eat and shop are close by.
Room 412. Bedbugs. Enough said. After I was moved to a new room, I inspected it with a fine-tooth-comb. New room was fine. The staff dealt with the issue properly. I commend them for the way they handled it. They did my laundry for me, and were very apologetic. As good as they were, I will never stay at this location again.
My long term stay at the Amherst Candlewood was a positive experience in an adventure of traveling for business purposes. There is a very welcoming staff who answer questions and assist with an issue, at quick notice. The room is clean and comfortable, with a calm atmosphere. The kitchen area is stocked with little amenities that make it easier to stay in the hotel to enjoy a meal and relax. The hotel is in a great area that is close to grocery stores and shopping, plus it is very accessible to downtown Buffalo and Niagara Falls. The hotel management and front desk are friendly and knowledgeable of the general area, while the cleaning staff are attentive to detail, so I can only say nice things about this hotel. I hope that I will be back for another stay.
I stayed recently for 2 months at the Buffalo-Amherst Candlewood Suites. I have nothing but high praise for the staff and workers and the hotel itself.Starting from the top, Jackie was just as kind as can be and helpful in guiding me around the area for both work and enjoyment. In fact, I believe she has a well-trained staff who considered it second nature to make my stay go smoothly by recommending potential clients or areas to work in for my business. Jackie, Laurie, Bonnie, Jessica, Tamra and Vickie always were there to share a laugh, tell me of an upcoming event in the area (Like the Taste of Buffalo which was a lot of fun) and even map out the directions, bus schedules etc.I also want to thank other staff members Brian (a huge assistance in helping move some cumbersome things) as well as Brad , Bruce and Linda.I also want to thank the maids, Mueh and Ehdoo who cheerfully left my room spotless each week. They were very respectful and polite and quietly did a remarkable job.The Hotel is very clean. The bed and pillows are clean and very comfortable. I had very ample space and room to do my work. The flat screen was nice and the free internet worked fine. There are plenty of great eats, both in walking distance and a short drive. Buffalo is a real food city. I know this well, as my customers were restaurants. Niagara Falls is just about a 20-30 minute drive and is more spectacular than I had even remembered as a young kid. The entire area is rich in ways to have fun.I would give this hotel the highest of possible ratings.
Right away the staff were amazing. So organized and ready for our arrival. The room was very tidy, and the beds were very comfortable. Only con was we needed an extra cot in our room for a 5th person. And the cot happened to be very uncomfortable. Other that amazing stay!
My first stay at this brand, stayed 3 nights and although I had to make my own bed, the savings more than made up for it. Excellent size room with reclining chair and all the facilities to prepare a meal in your room to suit your own taste, made my stay most desirable. Also lots of choices in restaurants and Malls in the immediate area.Very comfortable bed with regular size pillows, something of a rarity these days. The staff were all exceptional by showing so much concern over my well being. Just loved being pampered.Great access from the major Hi-ways. I came from Canada and for all you shoppers, ideal location. Lots of parking space and i really felt secure.Would I return, yes, most assuredly.
Overall, the hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel staff was able to accommodate late arrival and late departure request, which was a nice gesture. A request for a room away from the elevator was also accommodated. Having said that, the hotel has paper thin walls and ceilings. While the bed was comfy, the unintentional noise level from neighboring rooms was annoying. Hotel has a skimpy amenities for food, snacks and a complimentary coffee is hardly coffee. While a one night stay was reasonable price-wise, i would not recommend a prolonged stay.
Good stay . Appreciated access to complimentary laundry facility but strongly recommend an upgrade of the washing machines and dryers; they are very used and apparently not cleaned regularly.It was necessary to extend my stay twice; the staff made it very easy for me.One comment I would make is that the carpet appeared damp and the room deodorizer was very potent the first night; it had an odor similar to carpet deodorizer; not pleasant at all;
The hotel was great! The staff was knowledgeable of the area. The beds were very comfortable and relaxing. Although there was a storm and the t.v went out for a while the hotel was still inviting. We were able to borrow a board game from the front desk and passed the time with that. They also compensated us for the outage by giving a 5.00 coupon to the hotel store. Great place to stay, would recommend to all my friends and family.
The front desk staff were friendly at check in. The room had many issues. First, the carpet had a huge hole, the bathroom sink didn’t drain, and the tub faucet was broken. The hallway rugs were very stained and chips remained in the stairway for my entire stay. The outside seating area was very dirty. I would not stay here again since there are many other options close by.
Location was convenient to the university and many amenities. Staff was helpful and polite. We enjoyed the outdoor gazebo area, lobby, pantry with 24-hour coffee, and reliable wireless. Room was acceptable. Our only hesitation in returning is the cost. It seemed excessive for a hotel with minimal housekeeping and pets allowed (we dont have any). Our rate was significantly higher than our friends rate who was also staying at the hotel in a similar room.
The location was great. Close to the highway and shopping malls. Felt safe with the Buffalo State University near by. Its a well lit area. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean, the towels could have been a bit softer but at least they were clean and a good size. The kitchenette is the best feature for us. We like to do our own breakfast and late night snack. Everything worked fine. This is my second time staying at this location and I would definitely stay here again when I am in Buffalo.
Our stay here was pretty awesome. Super clean, and our room was so nice. It was a like a one bedroom apartment. They had a whole bunch of stuff to borrow for your night if needed. Blender, to games, lol anything you can think of to make your stay a good one. Never heard of the candlewood Suites but will definitely stay again!!!
Every time I come to Buffalo, I stay at the Candlewood. It is a great rate, the amenities are great, the staff are all friendly and make you feel like family. Always a smile at the front desk and they love to chat and just makes you feel welcome. The cleaning staff are top notch. The maintenance staff are the same as the front desk staff...always a smile, a hello and good conversation to make you feel welcome and like a part of the family. I will stay there every time I am in Buffalo if a room is available.
Coming back to Buffalo for my moms 90th b-day I was looking for a place close by to crash at night. This place was great. From the moment I walked in to check in and met Carol at the desk to the time I checked out I had no problems. My room was on the 4th floor and I could not have asked for a quieter room. The only thing I heard was the snowplow every morning clearing the parking lot and that is to be expected in Feb. in Buffalo. The room was nice and clean and had everything I needed. Complimentary coffee packets and tea bags were in my room along with a kitchenette if I decided to cook. They have a great place downstairs in the lobby to buy all sorts of things including juices, water, cookies, toiletries, frozen dinners and even ice cream. They also have a lending cupboard which I did not use but I saw crockpots, blenders and such that were there to borrow. I could grab clean linens anytime I needed more without waiting for someone to bring some, and they were nice thick towels and washcloths.I will definitely be staying here again next time I go to Buffalo and I do hope that Carol is there at night again with her great smile and bubbly personality to wish me a good night before I go up to my room.
Prior to our stay I had never heard of Candlewood. We had to spend a week in Buffalo for my sons bowling tournament. The bowling association had deals with other hotels in the Buffalo area that were lets say lacking. For less money, we had a comfortable suite that was in almost new condition. Clean, quiet and Directv (didnt have to learn new channels as they are the same as back home). Loved the fact the laundry facility was free and had plenty of machines. The staff (Renee and Brad to name a couple) was courteous and professional. Whenever we needed something they happily assisted. If you are considering this hotel, go ahead and do it. You wont regret it.
The staff was courteous and helpful. Place was awesome. Two areas for constructive improvement: the rollaway bed we asked for was delivered within 20 minutes of our arrival, which was great, but the mattress left a great deal to be desired. the mattresses of the traditional beds were awesome though.the cupboard - convenience store -- was not well stocked with breakfast items. we ended up going to a nearby IHOP for breakfast. we didnt use the cupboard at all.
This was our first stay at a Candlewood Suites and we were quite impressed with the room and hotel overall. Our room was very spacious, it was easy to makeourselves quite comfortable. Everything was just as nice as we expected. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The best part is that we used rewards points that covered the full price of the room!
Initially I needed to change my reservation 24 hours before our arrival...I was pleased with the courteous and helpful front desk as they cheerfully handled my request. At arrival we were greeted with even more smiles and pleasant conversation. The suite was wonderful. Clean, spacious and comfortable are a few of the words to describe it. The next morning we were again greeted and wished well by the front desk staff. I would highly recommend this specific hotel for its ambiance and great location..
If you can get past the dirty stair carpets (take the elevator) and slow internet this is a fine place to stay. Conveniently located, quiet. comfortable beds, thick towels and washcloths, and a mostly friendly staff. Basic kitchen amenities available for simple meals,Dont try checking out the night before - when you leave next morning the staff thinks you are leaving without paying your bill!
I always use Candlewood Suites due to their comfort dependability and home like feel. I love that each room has a full Kitchen to help save money on outside dining. Whenever and wherever I travel to I always try to find a Candlewood Suites Hotel. It’s highly recommended.
I have been a business traveler for a good portion of the last 30 years and had many varied experiences with hotel accommodations. A few years back, I discovered the Candlewood Suites in Amherst NY.. and have not stayed anywhere else since then. I visit the property fairly regular, and am always amazed at the friendly greeting when I arrive, no matter what time of day or night. Even when there are changes in staff, the overall attitude remains the same. The quality of the experience is outstanding, from the cleanliness, to the bedding, and even the towels are far above my expectations, and very consistent. I recently announced my retirement, and happened to mention it when I checked in on my last trip, and to my amazement, when I checked out there was a greeting card signed by the entire staff waiting for me. I do belong to other frequent traveler programs, but will always go out of my way to stay here due to the outstanding overall experience.
I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 days and 1 night. The check-in manager was very accommodating. I requested a top floor which they granted, She also upgraded me to a large 1 bedroom suite since I was an IHG member. The room was clean. Internet service was free and fast. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet. I will be staying there in August and October again. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I enjoyed my stay here. I especially loved the fact that we got a Bbq the day we left. Unfortunately I had to leave a day early due to unfortunate reasons. The staff were great at helping me out with my check out. My only issue I had was I feel there should be more housekeeping. I’m unfamiliar with extended stay hotels so I don’t know the policies on housekeeping I’m use to daily service. Otherwise is was an great overall experience.
I stayed at week with my family of 7. They upgraded my room. The manager help me find a restaurant to deliver food to our room. The free laundry was awesome. They provided free dishwasher soap and dish soap. My kids loved to go buy midnight snacks at the store. Best hotel we ever stayed at.
The staff is very much freindly and attentive. The room and the bathroom was clean. Though the carpet on the floor could have been much cleaner, and the bed could have been much more comfortable. In my opinion iit was a bit harder which made me feel I didnt have a sufficient sleep.
Really enjoyed the hotel, while I stayed with the Candlewood Suites in Amherst. Great location and close to Buffalo, and Niagara Falls. Everything is within reach to get around to.Hotel was really clean and exactly what I expected. I will certainly return back to the hotel in the near future.Staff was certainly very friendly and most helpful. Some of the furniture is a bit tired and could be updated . Happy to see its Pet Friendly as well.Totally satisfied .Thank you .
Great stay! Room clean, nice and perfect for one person - a little tight for two or more. Liked that I didnt need to pay for things I rarely use like the daily breakfast or daily housekeeping.Would like the option for King Bed Room which they do not have currently but the Queen Beds are very comfortable.
My daughter and her six month old baby and myself had the pleasure of staying at this location in Nov/2014. We were very pleased to have the kitchenette area so that my daughter could easily prepare the bottles for the baby. Also having the separate bedroom area provided a nice dark place for the baby to settle prior to us retiring for the evening. We had a wonderful stay, friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. We will definitely stay again at this location. Thanks.
This is my third consecutive visit in the hotel in the last 3 years. Happy to say that the hotel keeps ita standards. Room is clean, quiete with comfy bed and the team is always ready to help. Greatly located near the university of Buffalo and connecting roads to downtown. There are also lots of options for eating and shopping near bye. Great for extended stays.
Can hear every single steps taken by guests on the floor above and in the hallway. Otherwise decent and comfortable beds. Bathroom towels provided are exceptionally good for a hotel which was a surprise. Mini kitchen has everything needed for simple meals which comes in handy if you have a need for one. Staff were friendly and gym has basic equipments for a quick workout.
My husband and I were in Buffalo to drop our daughter off for college. The suite was wonderful. Very accomodating. We brought our dog along and he enjoyed his stay also. The suite was very clean. Bed very comfortable. Staff very personable. Green hotel which I LOVE (linens arent changed unless requested). Suite felt like home. This is our home away from home when we are visiting our daughter. We will be returning for homecoming/family wknd. Im very very selctive and complain often.....no complaints here. Thanks Candlewood!!!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Our stay at the Candlewood Suites in Amherst, NY was warm and comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful and did whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable!Thank you Jackie, Laurie, Tamra, Rene, Matt & Brad...Thank you!Our Queen Suite was clean, cozy and warm, the furnishings were in excellent condition including the kitchen and utensils; the extra spacious bathroom was amazing. The guest laundry was clean and large enough to serve several guests at a time. The fitness center was clean, spacious and operational.Thank you for the daily news and updates about weather and driving conditions. The Tuesday Pizza night was a bonus. Thank you all for giving our eight night stay a warm feeling!
I have twins and the hotel was able to accommodate us with two cribs in our room. They were very responsive to our needs and helpful. The room was large and having a separate bedroom was perfect to fit our family comfortably. We have stayed at this hotel several times and would definitely stay here again.
This was a safe, clean place to lay our heads for a night as we visited UB. The rooms were clean. Our only issue was that we had trouble getting the room temperature where we wanted it and kept setting it for a little hotter then cooler. It was touchy and a couple degrees seemed to make a big difference. If we had stayed for more than one night Im sure we would have got it correct on our end. This was our 1st stay at a Candlewood Suites and we were impressed. If we were staying for a longer time we might have gone with a hotel with a pool that cost a little more but for our short visit, not having a pool was fine.
My partner & I had the best vacation this August by staying at the Amherst, NY Candlewood Suites. The suite size was comfortable & generous; every amenity was clean and serviceable. There is plenty of parking around the building and the suites are centrally located to shopping, the freeways and UBs Amherst Campus. The Hotel staff are friendly, energetic and extremely knowledgeable about WNY; plus they are internet savvy!Since the moment we walked through the doors at check-in, Rene & Jackie were there to welcome us with friendly smiles. Lauren is forward thinking in helping us plan out our day of area activities. The evening managers; Brad and Matt were courteous and ready to assist us with any details before we retire. House keeping at Candlewood Suites is amazing! The director of housekeeping; Tamra gave us exceptional attention when we requested anything room related; including the best shower matt ever! Everyone at Candlewood has an awesome customer service ethic; aside from leaving our friends & family we knew we were going to miss the charming staff and attention to detail at Candlewood Suites. Thank you People!
We had an unexpected lengthy stay of 8 weeks here. We found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and friendly to us and our dog. They really are dog people! The facilities were clean and updated. Extras including laundry, pantry, work -out space were plentiful and readily available. The day we checked out, it was bittersweet saying good-bye to this extended family. We highly recommend the Candlewood Suites in Amherst, NY.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Candlewood Suitesin Amherst New York because it felt like home. The staffwere pleasant; kind; helpful and went above and beyondthe call of duty. My wife had her service dog and Bonnie at the front desk gave her treats and some love. Our poochbonded with Bonnie because she sensed that Bonnie lovesanimals; Thanks again Bonnie, Travis and the rest of the Staff for making our stay feel like we were at Home Again.
I would definitely stay here again. The suite we stayed in had a separate bedroom which was very nice. The kitchen area was clean and well stocked with dishes, pots, pans etc. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.I highly recommend this hotel. It does not have a pool, but guests of Candlewood Suites are able to use the pool of the hotel across the parking lot.
This is my default location in Amherst next to Buffalo university, and my 4th visit over the last 4 years. The hotel is always clean, the team is welcoming, amenities are in top shape, room is spacious, bed is great and the kitchen gives lots of flexibility. It is ideally located next to Buffalo University, the airport, Walden Galleria mall (11 min drive) and there are lots of restaurants 5 minutes drive away. The hotel does not serve breakfast, but you can get one walking 2 min. If you dont mind about on-premise breakfast (the kitchen has everything you need to make one), this is a great location. I stayed in many Candlewoods, and this is one of is the best I have been. My default location while in the area.
We had an amazing experience at this hotel!!! We traveled here from Chicago and when we got to our room, it wasnt the room we had booked online. The manager was very accommodating and arranged for is the suite that we thought we were getting for the price we booked online so that in itself was unbelievable!!! Especially since we were here on our honeymoon. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was exceptional which was nice because we were here for 11 days. The hotel even had free pizza and pop on Tuesday nights for their guests. Plus, it had free parking, free Wi-Fi, and free laundry services. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling and looking for good, friendly service. If we ever come back, this is where well be staying!!!
This was the first stay at a Candlewood property, though stay regularly at IHG properties. This was very nice, and while we stayed just overnight, it would be an excellent for long term stays, with a kitchen. I was impressed by the quality of the bed linens which seemed much more durable than normal -- made for longer stays. It is well located and quiet.Overall, good place to stay!
I stayed in this property for 2 nights. I like it that bed sheets and towels are not changed every day. I experienced the wifi dropping frequently on my laptop although I never had this problem at other hotels and public wifi.Overall, this is a value-for-money hotel with more than the bare necessities.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Stayed there I earlier this year and staff actually remembered that we were there. The special things they do with the customers is awesome. I would definitely stay here again in my next visit to the Buffalo area. Easy access to sights and restaurants as well!
During this extended trip for both business and leisure, we stayed at multiple IHG properties. This was one of the nicer in terms of being fairly clean and well-maintained. Perhaps it is lack of informational training of the staff across the spectrum of IHG properties, but we were told on more than one occasion that we had received our room for free (we used reward nights) as if that did not entitle us to expect quality treatment or to be greeted as IHG members.
Great clean rooms with luxurious linens and fluffy towels. Kitchen is fully stocked with normal housewares. If anything is lacking, they have it at the front desk to loan to you for free. This locations cupboard was fully stocked with convenience store items at a much better price than local stores. The staff here was very helpful and seemed genuinely happy all the time. The Location is at I 290 and Millersport Road, close to the University at Buffalo North campus and only 12 miles to the Falls. There are plenty of eating establishments within a short drive.
We came to visit Niagara Falls, and was happy I chose this place. It was very convenient, close to highways. Easy on and off access. Very clean...nice, friendly, helpful staff. Room had everything we needed, great for myself and Mom. We had our own sleeping arrangements and TVs...highly recommend
Customer service was great. We had a 1 bedroom and the air conditioning unit only cooled down the living room area. There was a fan between the rooms, but it wasnt working well. Staff came in to take a look at it and then brought a floor fan up to put in the doorway. Eventually the room cooled down, but it did take awhile. Since the thermostat had a setting to shut off 15 minutes you leave the room there was no way to cool down the bedroom while we were at dinner. Even though the air conditioner was a problem, the staff addressed the concern quickly and efficiently. Everyone was extremely pleasant.
Awesome hotel and location. Very safe and clean outside and inside. The staff is welcoming and is always greeting you from the moment they see you and willing to help you with anything. The only thing I didn’t like is that they isn’t have an oven but the hotel is still amazing. The suites are very spacious and well kept.
This hotel is a gem. Affordably and cozy. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Best part was the little kitchen that made you feel like you had a little home away from home. I could have made a full dinner there if I had to. We were only staying one night but definitely will mark this in my places to remember for another stay when traveling to this area again.
Great Place to stay. Clean, comfortable and the staff is super helpful for everything from calling a taxi or giving recommendations for things to do and places to eat. I stayed here for three months for work. They did a super job when cleaning the rooms weekly and the ability to exchange out your towels and sheets without the hassel of going to the front desk is fantastic!
Great location, staff and seemingly very new property that was clean, comfortable and quiet. The option to borrow additional items for an already well stocked kitchen is very helpful. No breakfast so stock up for the trip and you’ll be fine. Good restaurants and grocery stores nearby.
This hotel provide excellent value for the north Buffalo area. The room is not as modern as other hotel but it is clean and comfortable. I missed the free breakfast at other hotels. Sometime after traveling long distant the day before, one just do not want to drive early in the morning to get something to eat. The price is very good for the room. Would stay again but maybe will bring my own foods.
The room was comfortable, clean, spacious, and updated. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly. The only thing missing was a complimentary breakfast that is included at many other hotel chains. The room was also a bit pricey considering there was no breakfast included. Otherwise it was fine. There was a lot of noise in the room above mine which is not the fault of the hotel.
I totally enjoyed my stay at candlewood suites and so did my friends and family. we had a good time and the staff was very easy to work with and helpful at all times to our needs. They were able to help us with travel locations, restaurants in the area, and direct us to the hairdresser and other requests as were needs. We were impressed with their friendliness.
Located close to everything on what I like to call hotel/motel row. A extended stay suite motel. The rooms are quiet and the bed comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. My only personal complaint is no stove. I like to bake up a full size pizza, but its a no go here as the suite only has a hot plate. I can borrow a small toaster oven, but that only does small personal pizzas . They could use a car charger for my electric car, but theres one within easy walking distance.
Weve had several stays at this property and the staff are friendly, accommodating and willing to assist with any urgent needs. Our dog has accompanied us and it is a great experience. He receives a couple of treats and some suggestions where to walk him or pick up items for him.
Overall good value. Rooms are modern, clean and well furnished. Kitchen Facilities were good. Bed was very comfortable. Quiet location. Friendly staff.Good location, easy access to major shopping malls.Free Pizza on Tuesday evenings was a nice touch. This was my second stay in the last year. I will be back again.
This hotel is an excellent value if you are staying in the Amherst area. It is directly across from the main enterance of UB. The room are very comfortable, and the staff is one of the friendliest I have ever experienced. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pans to cook with. the full size fridge is a big plus for those who are staying for longer periods of time. I will definitely stay here whenever I am in the Amherst area!
These suites are literally next door to UB and represent a great value for staying near the University. The suites are spacious and have everything you could want, from a small stove and microwave to gym and lending locker. They also have specifically designated handicapped rooms which have easier restroom access and are designed to be easier to get in. As far as handicapped rooms go, these are pretty good - all they need to be excellent would be some sort of auto door and a lower bed height. Parking is good, but keep in mind that if you come in from the Maple street side, there is noi hotel sign on that side of the building and the parking lots do NOT link up.... you need to take the first entrance (near the little Italian place) and drive in. The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and the whole atmosphere is very friendly. Overall, the price and comfort level (and handicapped accessibility) for these suites are excellent - highly recommended.
We were totally satisfied with our stay at the Candlewood Suites, Buffalo Amherst. Staff was friendly and courteous when entering and exiting the premises. Our little dog was also greeted at the hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CANDLEWOOD SUITES AT BUFFALO AMHERST. I know U of B is located there and parents looking for a convenient and nice place to stay can rely on this establishment for safety and security...AGAIN COMPLIMENTS TO THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF AT THIS FACILITY! JOB WELL DONE!!!
I had never stayed at this hotel before but I knew it was close to UB and wanted to be near by for moving in.The set up with a sofa bed in one room and another room with a queen was ideal for us and our son.The front desk staff was super accommodating and nice and helpful. Free coffee was a nice bonus.
Everything would have been great if I didn’t find three cockroaches above the sink in the cupboard . It took three days for management to get a pest control company to come get rid of the three cockroaches I found and captured in glasses then when they came in to treat room they put everything towards center of room and in the process Brock the on leg on the bed three days went bye room service came in made beds cleaned around everything and never put anything back another whole week went bye with me keep saying that nothing was ever put back.finally I had to put everything back myself and the bed was never fixed for the next 3 weeks of my stay. I was very disappointed in how it was handled never was offered another room to stay in nor was I offered anything for my major inconvenience
We travel for leisure and business often. This is the first time I have ever given a hotel 5/5 star rating. The front desk staff was wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and restaurants. The room was spotless as were the halls, elevator and lounge. It was refreshing to have nothing to complain about.Highly recommend this hotel. Great job!
This was the first time we stayed at a Candlewood Inn and were extremely pleased with the staff as well as the facilities. The kitchen was nicely equipped to do small tasks. When we arrived the lounge chair in our room was in very poor condition having tears in it. We reported this to the staff and they immediately replaced it. We would definitely return.
This is our second visit to this hotel, the feeling is just as good as the first time. Unfortunately this time, we forgot and left a shopping bag in our room when we check out. The cleaning staff was kind enough to send it to the front desk who in term called us and advised us what we have left behind. They even took the extra steps to mail the package back to me in my home in Canada. We really appreciate the integrity and honesty of the staff. Job well done.
I like staying a suite hotels that have a separate bedroom and kitchen. It as close you will get to home. I found the Candlewood the best value so far. They dont clean your room everyday but who does at home. You can get fresh towels, toilet paper, tissues at he desk anytime you want. You can just put the bag trash outside the door and someone soon picks it up. It took a day or two to figure out how the place works .We stay there about 15 days a year and are happy with the services .
This is the third time staying at the Candlewood Suites in Buffalo. We spent a weekend there for a basketball tournament. The staff is always friendly there. The rooms are clean and large with a bedroom and a separate kitchen well equipped if you need to cook. I have no problem returning next year for another stay. Thanks
Loved everything about this hotel! The staff was very friendly and would greet us every time we walked through the lobby; fresh-smelling pillows (very important); comfortable bed; full kitchen; delicious coffee any time we wanted; little shop with snacks, juices, ice cream, etc that is always available.
Originally from the Buffalo area, my family and I came for a week long visit. This hotel is centrally located to everything we wanted to do. Its a stones throw from the 290, and nearby are all the stores youd ever need. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We wanted for nothing! The only negative was we were in an end room by the stairs and an exit door. That got loud sometimes, but youll get that at any hotel on occasion. I can recommend this hotel with absolutely no reservations (no pun intended).

2022-05-21I needed a hotel to do an extended stay at. I have used candlewood before in different locations, but his stay was amazing. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my wife and I. We had a small cat with us and they made sure our room was serviced regardless. Everyone who works there is extremely nice and willing to help if there is an issue. We had some minor issues with the heater in our room and it needed to be replaced. They did not charge us for that day. The room was very clean. All the washer and dryers were in working order which was great. I would highly recommend staying here if you are going to be in the buffalo area for an extended period of time.

2022-04-09We had a fantastic experience at the Candlewood on Flint Road. The person at the front desk was friendly and competent, and wed never seen a Candlewood Cupboard. This is the most wonderful idea Ive seen for guests. Its the honor system to use what you need and return the items when youre finished. We didnt stay long-term, but if we were staying for more than a few days, the kitchen items would have been a big help. We did use a few of the office items. Printing boarding passes in the lobby was nice perk.We expected an okay hotel for just two nights, but we were bowled over with how nice, huge, and well furnished our suite was. We visit family in the area and sometimes need a hotel room, and well definitely stay here again.

2022-06-17I have stayed here number of times while attending a Buffalo Bulls football or a basketball game. It is very close to the University of Buffalo. I enjoyed the suite, it has everything you need to eat. It needs a bit of a update. It is very close to restaurants. There is a Tops Supermarket near by to grab a few things for breakfast or dinner to have in your suite. Book early, especially if you are attending homecoming weekend, the hotel can fill up quickly. Not too far from Orchard Park home of the Bills, or Niagara Falls. I will stay here again in the future. Just a heads up there is no restaurant in the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful.

2022-04-26I found this hotel to be the best for customer service and comfort. When i discuss this hotel with my friends, I refer to it as my second home.If I have had any concerns while staying here, they have been addressed immediately and over my expectations.Keep up the good work Jackie and staff!!

2022-01-08Definitely a choice if you are in the area. Not a luxury place but if you are looking for a clean, modern place with all the things youd expect in an extended stay type of place, this is it. And the front desk staff were all super nice and helpful. Also, the location is ideal with easy access to Buffalo and just 25 minutes to Niagra Falls and the Canadian border. If Im back I that area, this is where Ill stay.

2021-12-08Plus: The staff were extremely kind, and assisted us in a few challenges we met on the way. The location is great and central and there is on-site, free parking and laundromat. The bed was also very comfortable.Cons: Cleanliness. The dishwasher was filthy.

2021-09-06Extremely nice and welcoming staff. Spacious room and bathroom. Full kitchen was nice to have with plenty of dishes/glasses sterilized in dishwasher. Beds were comfortable. Room was cleaning. Great location. Easy parking. Would definitely stay again.

2021-10-26Very nicely appointed, clean suite. The only possible complaint I could have is the size was a bit small, with room for only one bedside table with a queen bed. But thats such a minor complaint that I didnt lower the rating. Very friendly staff. Pet relief area is equipped with a bag dispenser and a disposal container. A couple of food establishments within walking distance, but youll need a vehicle to access a wider selection. The hotel isnt highly visible, being tucked away between a Red Roof Inn and a DoubleTree, but it isnt difficult to find. Would definitely stay here again.

2021-07-05We wanted a Covid safe, clean, pet friendly place to stay on our trip that was convenient to I-90 and Niagra Falls area. This hotel fit our needs perfectly. Staff was professional and kind and we felt safe. Beds were comfortable, AC worked great, and though pets are allowed, there was no pet odor anywhere. The room was spacious and very quiet. Both our dog and us got a great night sleep!
