Capital One Bank in other cities:
Just be prepared to stand in a extremely long line when you enter this branch. I have never had to wait on line for over 30 minutes to make a teller transaction at any other bank. Every time I go into this location the line is wrapped around the entire waiting area. It’s a shame that you close most of your locations and the locations you have open aren’t staffed to provide the service needed in a timely fashion. Hire more people and extend your service hours.
Capital One closed down most of its branches and left this as a central one servicing a large section of Queens and long island. The problem is that they are never fully staff to handle the volume. They push you over to do a lot of transaction through an ATM which most times creates problems of which you still need a physical person. They need to hire more tellers. They also need to address the attention that should given to seniors instead of subjecting them to standing in line so long.
I dont know what is going on with this bank. I saw online that they were open on Veterans Day. The bank was open. I walked in there and to my surprise there was no workers in the bank not even a security guard, only customers, that were also stunned. You can even walk up to the teller window, but no tellers in sight. Online it said the bank was open, but it didnt say that the bank would be open without employees. I have seen it all.
This is a new facility and very busy! Every trip here is a task in itself! Always a long line and not enough staff available. If you head this way make sure you have comfortable shoes and plenty of time at hand! You’ll be here for a long long time to get the smallest of tasks completed. The ATM machines are not working half the times! Saw lot of customers complaining of the slow pace of things here!
Long lines, understaffed employees, and atms which often do not work make this Capital One branch a DISASTER to visit.Closing four local branches makes no sense if youre not going to have sufficient resources to compensate.I hate wasting my time due to unprofessionalism.
Terrible customer service, Teller Laura was extremely rude. Dont even deserve the 2 star rating. This is the second bad experience with this branch. I asked for branch manager number and they refused to give it to me. This is by far the worst Capital One and the sole reason why I’m closing my accounts.
Capital one is now terrible I would have given no stars but couldnt leave a review without leaving a star. Closed all local banks if you dont drive or you are a senior or own a business this is not the bank for you. If you have plenty of free time to wait on lines sign up. The ATMs are now crowded because all the banks closed .Whats in your wallet hopefully directions to another bank.
Capital One shut down 4 branches, that I know of, in the surrounding area (Farmers & Linden, Rosedale, Sunrise Hwy (nr Toys R Us), Central Ave) and replaced them with this one, insufficiently staffed branch. Now youve got customers from 4 (or more) branches descending on this one branch. Get here when the branch first opens or youll be waiting for 30 min on a line that wraps around the interior of the building.
ATM FOR DRIVE THRU NEVER WORKS SINCE IT OPENED THIS SUMMER.THE ATMS INSIDE ALWAYS HAVE MALFUNCTIONS. ITS ALWAYS A ATM THAT NEVER ALLOWS DEPOSITS OR A ATM THAT NEVER ALLOW WITHDRAWALS.OTHER THAN THAT I MEAN ITS 50% OK 50% UNRELIABLE.THE TELLERS LINES ARE ALWAYS LONG BECAUSE THE ATMS NEVER WORK & ITS INCONVENIENT FOR PEOPLES TIME!PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY & FIX THE PROBLEMS.
I went to this capital at green acres mall I got to the location at 4:55 not knowing they close at 5pm today I get to the door the woman controlling the door slams the door in my face saying we are closed while customers are still in the building which is very rude I highly do not recommend anyone going to this location not only I missed my time to get a check made for my rent which is due today I almost got my finger slammed in the door terrible customer service never go to this location just terrible
This branch is the worst ever an now today went to deposit cash an the atm machine stop working in the middle of it to deposit it to my account try to call costumer service now to find out that I can only get help from 8 to 8 so now I have to wait to talk to someone to talk to about this issue unacceptable an they close all the other thinking about closing my account

2022-02-22Went there last weekend with my mother. She needed to transfer money. I needed to open an account. Greeted at the door by 3 young ladies, one of which was Roxanna. She was considerate and cordial, helpful with my mother. Go there! They are wonderful.

2021-12-15I have been a capital one customer for 20 years, capital one has become the worst bank ever. Over the last ten years they have closed five other local locations forcing everyone in to sunrise hwy location. They did the same thing near my business in NYC, Sunrise location staffed with only three tellers. Lines out the door to the streets. This is all by corporate design. Staff said cap #1 wants to be a digital bank, and therefor provide as little service as possible.

2021-10-02This branch is historically slow and understaffed. I have a personal account and two business accounts with capital one. I’ve been with them for over 10 years. I’ve switched one of my business accounts over to Chase and in the process of switching the second one simply because there’s service in my area is so much better. Chase charges more in account servicing fees. I guess that’s the price you pay for good service at the branches. Maybe they should take a page from Chick-fil-A‘s book hire adequate staff have the focus on customer service and improving the branch experience.

2020-07-28The line here is obnoxiously long. Even with about 15 customers in line for over 20 minutes, there are only two tellers working, yet several others are visible handling other transactions. The good: convenient location at Green Acre Mall/Valley Stream Stores; air conditioning seems to be at a suitable level in these dog days of summer. Nothing else positive I can provide. If youre going to the ATM, which I go 99% of the time, you will have no issues. However, its the 1% of times when you actually have to speak with a teller that will keep you in line for at least 30 minutes. I love Capital One, but they must do better since theyve closed many locations in the area.

2020-09-01Horrible customer service. The manager does not care. 3 Tellers for a line of 39 and the tellers spend longer than necessary on small items to purposely waste time. Would never stay at Capital One bank if all locations were like this one. 15 years in the banking industry and I state that this is the worst branch I have ever seen.

2019-03-13I can relate to other peoples comments in regards to the inconvenience due to the closing of many of their branches. In regards to this particular branch, my experience was nothing but positive. The branch was clean, quiet and had plenty of tellers. The teller who helped this morning was pleasant, professional and very accommodating.

2019-03-04Service is always poor. Capital One shut down 2 of their branches to build this one branch that cannot handle the traffic of now 3 branches. Its consistently full because of the over flow of people traveling to this branch be cause of the closures. And capital one blames it on customers are doing more online banking. While that may be true it doesnt suffice for the amount of people who visits the banks regularly to handle their transactions. also. Beware that if your a business and you need to take out certain amount of money as I do. They will deny you the opportunity to do so. You cant even take out your money sometimes because this branch is considered a cafe so they have limited resources.. why would you build a cafe instead a normal functioning branch that would be able to handle Large transactions or consistent large amounts of customers???You guys definitely dropped the ball on this. Ill definitely be taking my banking elsewhere
