Enterprise Rent-A-Car in other cities:
Dropped my car off with a full tank and found that I was charged with an additional fueling charge. Additionally when I rented the car I was not provided with a rental agreement and called to receive one. One was not received for the trip even after calling. Further, the car was listed as a premium and the seats were quite uncomfortable. I highly do not recommend their service.
This enterprise rental is just plain shady and seems to be under bad management… we rented and deposited money for 2 vans a month or two ago and when it was time to pick up the vehicles they only had 1 of the two vans available. Why did you take my money for a van that you may or may not have? So enterprise gambled whether they’d actually have the vans for us when it was time to pick them up? The counter wasn’t really concerned on how we felt, considered an SUV an “upgrade” might be an “upgrade” to you but now I have elevated fuel costs because this shady enterprise failed and took deposits for vans they didn’t have. I’ll take my business elsewhere and suggest others do the same.
Walking in thinking I was getting the rental with my points. Was then told there wasnt any full size cars and I would have to take a jeep. No problem yet, after all the magic was done , I ended up from free to 100 dollars. So I took the car back a day early and it still cost me 60 dollars. From free for 4 days to 60 for 3. The old bait and switch and I fell for it. I feel like a fool.
Rented electric car. Was given a car that was not charged. Returned for a replacement. 2nd car reeked like marajuana. Car 3 was fine. Very inconvienent to have to change cars. Management contacted me and gave me a credit for the inconvenience. In the end I felt like the credit was equal to the inconvenience. Would rent again with enterprise.
Alexandra Stamatis was a rock star and adverted a melt down.United lost our daughters car seat and after waiting for an hour for it, our jet lagged (OR to NY flights) 4 year-old was starting to melt down.Alexandra saw what was happening and was quickly on it.It took a call or two and some digging, but very quickly saved the day and got us a booster seat. She gave us her card and told us to call her directly if we needed any other help. You cannot ask for better customer service.
Jenna (the evening desk attendant) and Jason (the manager) were absolutely amazing. Our flight was delayed past the closing time, and Jenna stayed on to ensure we got into our car, plus an upgrade and ensuring we were comfortable with our car seats and accommodations. The next morning we realized that the gas had been half full (we only drove 30 miles). No big deal, it’s a holiday weekend and super busy time. I called, and Jason called me back, resolving the situation immediately and making it so we could return the vehicle without putting any additional gas in (return on E, no extra charge). These people have earned an Enterprise customer for life. Excellent customer service like this is how it should be done! This is definitely the place you want to rent from!
Pickup and Drop off were smooth---car was clean and in good shape. Only issue is trying to get ahold of anyone locally--left something in the car and could not get through phone tree to a live person. Completed lost and found form on line. Would have appreciated a better follow-up or abiliyt to get ahold of someone locally to discuss.
Secured car and price, and how to handle a drop off at a closed Enterprise. Was told to use the lock box key drop off.I did. They then charged me for 2 full days and not the one day rental.Sure they will fix it, just at the price of things, hard to spend more time getting it adjusted. So far, no response to emails. Will call next
My flight was late by an hour and they gave my car away. They didn’t make any attempt to help me after they gave my reserved car away.He stating they had no more cars available! I ended up stranded and the guy just looked at me smiling and shrugging his shoulders basically telling me it was my fault for being an hour late. It’s an airport I had no control over airport delays . This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had. I will never be back to enterprise they have no reliably in my eyes considering what I went though and I never would want to be put in that scary Situation again.
The Enterprise rental site at ROC airport was very convenient for pickup and drop off.The manager was helpful and courteous. The car was clean and full of gas.The engine functioned well and most of the rest of the vehicle. The midsize SUV I had reserved was not available. The small SUV was very difficult to load the 3 of us, our luggage, and my walker. We had to fold half of the back seat down to fit the walker in even without the rest of our luggage. That crowded the back seat passenger. We were never able to figure out the cruise control. No instructions in the owner manual. When we plugged the phone in to recharge the battery, it messed up the GPS.We couldnt figure out how to turn the audio off. It kept saying I dont understand your question. We hadnt asked it anything. The seat was way too low and we didnt find any way to raise it.The visors are useless. They are mounted so high that when they are lowered to block the sun, only a couple of inches of shade was gained. I am short and drove with the sun in my eyes for 3 days. The friends we were visiting live on a gravel road. Sorry for returning the car so dirty.
Service was great and very helpful. The car was perfect. Even extending the rental by a day was very easy, I would suggest send the customer a noice that the transaction was done, I didnt. However the BIG downside was the COST, Seriously overpriced. Frankly the cost outweighed the value. Yes i know the recent pandemic was a factor, however the price seem like a gouge more than an increase, If memory serves by as much as 25%, yikes. In the end Ive always value the service Enterprise has given me as and have been the go to service for car rentals. , but the next rental, I may have to seek and other company.
I recently rented a car from Enterprise at the Greater Rochester Airport. The entire process was quick, effortless, and I was more than pleased with my car rental. The service representatives at pick up and return were courteous and attentive to my needs. I received an upgrade at no extra charge. I was very satisfied with the entire experience and would use them in the future.
I was disappointed with the way my experience started out. I reserved a full size car, when I got there they gave me a mid size car. I was told that the price could not be changed even though the car was smaller. Also, the mid size car gas tank was not full. When I returned the car I was asked about my experience I let them know that I was not happy. In the end my rate was lowered and I was given credit for the gas. Thanks to Joe, who was working in the garage when I returned the car.
Although my experience did not start off how I thought it should, I had the most amazing experience with Joe at the Rochester N.Y. airport. He made sure that I left off of the lot with a car of my liking. He was personable, caring, attentive, and professional. It was obvious that he took his position seriously. Enterprise has hired an absolute gem.
I reserved and paid for my car online. When I arrived in Rochester, my car was ready and I was done at the counter in less than 10 minutes. The car was clean and when I returned it, it took less than 5 minutes. All the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. I would use Enterprise Rochester,, NY again.
The Ford Expedition Max is an excellent vehicle, large enough for everyone (3 teens + Mom/Dad). The two suggestions I have for Enterprise are:1. Install crossbars which would allow families to use cargo boxes and cargo bags.2. Careful with your rates. Most of us look at the cost of driving our own vehicles and we’ll pay more to rent a vehicle 3-7% more. However, your rates are increasing to a point where we may elect on our next trip to use our own car and rent a towable U-Haul.
Rental car smelled like pot and when called to say something about it I was told there was no way they gave me a truck that smelled like that. They also refused to change it out. Never again will I rent from there. My kids were with me and had to smell that. Rochester, NY Airport location.
Nobody is here at all for the people who get the last flight of the night, leaving me stranded at the airport or paying for a $100 Uber. This is absolutely unacceptable and Im very disappointed, and I will complaining once I get back to airport in the morning to pick up the car, with a modified bill.
The customer service I have received here on a couple of recent occasions is amazing. I am very appreciative of it. From ease of scheduling a rental online... to picking it up. A slight issue this last time with the vehicle was fixed by immediately switching them. I was also just about 45 minutes late returning my recent rental, and no issue. Also, I was even able to get a ride to the airport- no charge and no issues. I look forward to more interactions with them for future rental needs.
I reserved reservations for 3 vehicles for $699 each about 5 months in advance and went to show up for pick up, since my daughters that were driving the other 2 vehicles did not have credit cards I had to go across the street to the other enterprise on Buell Rd unaware of that the Rochester Airport Enterprise canceled my existing reservation. So the enterprise on Buell Rd Rochester NY charged me double the money for all 3 vehicles and also charged me an extra day because I was unaware my existing reservation was canceled so the vehicles had to be returned earlier without my knowledge. Its been a complete disaster with this company on my vacation, that I worked very hard for every year!
Enterprise Rent-A-Car Rochester International Airport. Waited 5 minutes to speak to counter rep. Transaction was uneventful. Car pick up was as short walk to garage. Car was waiting, however front window was dirty inside. I cleaned them the best I could as rep was already helping another customer. Brought car back minus 1/4 of a tank. Was charged for 1/4 tank which was fine by me. I would use them again.
Enterprise has the best customer service in the rental car industry! The reason I am a loyal customer is because of how flexible they can be with my needs and the high level of competence that their employees display. My most recent rental with them was last week. I needed to rent a car, drive about 300 miles to another city to possibly purchase a motor vehicle. So I didnt know if I would need to drop off the rental remotely or whether I would be driving it back. They let me know that whatever I wanted to do was possible and made notes in the system about my case so that anyone I ended up dealing with would know the situations and the possibilities we had discussed. In the end I needed to drop off the car at a local Enterprise rental point. Everything went as smooth as glass, and someone at the drop off point gave me a ride to where I needed to go. I could not be more satisfied with the quality of the service. The car was great too.
When we arrived on a Friday to pick up our car, there was no car for us. Not Enterprises fault since some customers do not return their rentals on time. Josh was very apologetic and said he would make it up to us. And did he ever! He gave us and upgrade to a Nissan Armada and a free day. Josh did everything he could to make sure we were satisfied. But I must admit that after driving the Armada for a week I am not a fan of the vehicle. Ride seemed a little stiff. Every bump we hit and I felt like the vehicle was swaying. The GPS was difficult to figure out and on the way to our destination we had no audio from it. Too many buttons for my taste. But I would choose Enterprise again, but not the Armada.
Overall I didnt have a good experience with the rental. Just for context, I rented their Premium SUV. I was given a Ford Expedition...but it had several mechanical problems. First, one of the running boards was stuck in place. Normally this wouldnt be a problem, but I had to pickup my 88 yr old mother who just couldnt step up into the vehicle. With only one running board working on the drivers side, she had to use the driver side doors in order to enter the truck. Which meant I had to drive from FL to NY with my seat and chest almost on the dash board. Other issues included the Trucks braking system. I can only hope they pulled this truck out of service before renting to someone else. There were other minor electrical things that also were not working and because of my drive to FL, I didnt have the time nor energy to switch trucks. One would think that when you rent one of their Premium trucks...everything should be working or at least checked out before sending it out. On a semi-positive note, I left several items in the truck upon returning the vehicle to Enterprise. I realized my mistake and tried calling Enterprise to get the items back. After leaving 4 messages, (one each hour) someone finally called me back and suggested I fill out a form. This was useless information. The person then promised to locate the vehicle and call me back. Another 4 hours elapsed but no return call. I then drove to the Enterprise Airport Location where I had rented the truck from and the gate agent did search the lot and all my tools were retrieved. Thats the only positive note in all of this. You know, if I wanted to save money, I would have rented from Budget or some other provider. I have learned through my million miles plus of air travel, that when travelling...one should stay at the best hotels, rent from the best service provider and you are almost guaranteed to have a good experience. Not the case with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I wont rent from this company again.
Enterprise has never let me down. Went back to my home state NY after a few years and the ROC representative was welcoming and offered great customer service. He even gave me an upgrade out of the blue. Kudos, to the gentleman for great service and no hassles. Best deal out of all the rental companies in ROC to pick up and drop off in BUF.
Literally just wasted both my time and my money because we had to Uber to the airport while the car is in the shop. Because they only take credit cards. To find this info i had to dig through their website until I found a q&a type list at the bottom of the page. Just be better. Because now on top of having to get a rental I just spent 40 dollars for a round trip Uber for literally nothing. Horrible. Thanks for literally nothing enterprise.
Ive never had any issues with Enterprise. The pickup and drop off are timely. The only issue is no matter what vehicle I reserve they never have that vehicle or class and Im stuck with a minivan that costs me more and gas and is extremely inefficient for my business needs. If this happens a few more times I will take my business through my company elsewhere.
I always rent a car at Enterprise Rochester and elsewhere. They have great service, great cars, and low rates. Ive never had a problem with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I especially appreciate the friendly and courteous personal service. Nick quickly got my reservation finished and gave me a bottle of water. I enjoyed the conversation. When I got to my car, they had the heater warming and the seat warmer on. She quickly explained everything and I was on my way! Return was also quick with great service. Thanks for everything!
Although the checkout and use of the rental car was mostly satisfactory, the receipt for the cars use was anything but satisfactory. The attendant told me he would email the receipt, which never came. When I called the site (Rochester, NY airport) the next day I spoke with someone who told me a receipt would be sent (after a lengthy wait on the phone). The receipt sent to me was totally wrong (over $500 more than the expected amount!!). So, I had to call again and after another lengthy wait I finally got an agent who was able to send the correct receipt. This experience makes me particularly reluctant to use Enterprise when I have a choice in the future. The few dollars of difference in the cost of rental does not make up for the degree of frustration with the billing process, the amount of time it takes to check out a car from the service desk, and the lengthy wait time on the phone to resolve issues.
Picked up a car at Rochester, NY airport. There was a strange smell in the backseat floor of the rental. We didnt think much about it but after a few days in the heat, it became apparent that the last renter had possibly vomited in the back. It was a bit of a struggle to get it exchanged as we could only exchange at an airport. But the folks at the Syracuse Airport were super friendly and accommodating. It would have been nice if the original car were put out of service until the smell resolved before renting it out again.
I was desperate to find a rental car that I could use for a day to drive home from the airport. After going to several rental car company websites and seeing they were closed by the time my flight came in at 9:00 p.m., I was honestly worried I was going to have to go on a 60 mile trek. Enterprise saved me from trudging on through the night. I got a great deal, and I enjoyed my interaction with the person at the counter. I definitely will use them again!
Just landed after a horrible day traveling with American Airlines after several delays etc my flight got in at 0103 I didn’t make it to rental counter til 0115. Mike was so nice and didn’t seem inconvenienced at all by having to stay late to accommodate the delays. I had called ahead and put flight info on reservation but still above and beyond staying an hour and half past closing to make sure I got my car.- service was great. Car though definitely smells like it had a smoker in it previously but otherwise clean and what I reserved. For those first time renting in NYS fair warning liability insurance coverage will add to your bill in wonderful “ no fault state”. Like that I also was able to get easy pass making holiday travel so much better :)
We found Enterprise at Rochester Airport a convenient location for pick-up and return. When we arrived, however, they were out of cars and we had to wait to get our reservation filled. The employee was extremely sorry and within a half hour-45 minutes we were on our way in a Chevy Cruz with a discount for that trip and one for future reservations. This credit did not transfer to our credit card so when we were contacted after our trip for satisfaction we reported this and it was promptly taken care of with an even larger discount. Bottom line, Enterprise cares and we have used them in the past and will use them in the future. We have used them abroad with good success as well.
I recently rented a car in Rochester, NY and then Miami FL. Both experiences were fantastic. In each case, I stepped up to the counter, was greeted by a cheerful person who has all my reservation information at hand. I answered a couple questions, signed a form and was out the door in minutes. Since this happened at two diverse locations, I assume that the I would have a similar experience wherever I travel. High marks. If I could give you ten stars, I would.
We flew in to Rochester, NY from NYC for a Finger Lakes family vacation and rented a car at the Rochester Airport and returned it to the Buffalo, NY airport. On arrival they had given our car to someone else and told us they were upgrading us. When we got the upgraded car it was pretty dinged and dented and the navigation screen/Information Display did not work. We asked for a different car and we were given a newer beautiful Mazda sedan. The car was great and they gave us a discount on the return gas take for the inconvenience.Returning the car at the Buffalo airport was easy and very quick. Everyone was helpful and pleasant.
I was very impressed with Enterprise during my recent trip to Rochester, NY. The only suggestion I would make to improve the check in at the airport would be to have a separate line for your Enterprise Plus members, or, since Enterprise has all my information on file, let members go directly to the parking garage. Besides that, everything went very smoothly. I was greeted by a nicely dressed representative upon entering the parking garage and accompanied to my car. We both checked out the exterior and found it to be perfect and I was on my way in a beautifully clean, almost brand new car. The return worked just as well.
I always rent a car at Enterprise. They have great service, great cars, and low rates. Ive never had a problem with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I especially appreciate the friendly and courteous personal service at Rochester airport while returning the card yesterday. The lady was very efficient and professional as well friendly. Return was quick with great service. Thanks for everything!
Again, I had another great experience renting a car from Enterprise! I flew into Rochester NY from Tampa and rented a car at the airport. I had made my reservation a few weeks or so earlier and received an unbelievable low rate, maybe because I was returning the car in Sarasota FL and they need cars in Florida, Im not sure why it was so low but $113+taxes and fees came to like $164 for 10 days!!!...the customer service at Rochester airport was excellent, I wish I could remember the girls name, but she was great...I obtained a toll pass device in Rochester to be used for the tolls along the way to Florida, but one week later when I left New York for Florida and went through the first toll booth on the thruway the toll pass didnt work and it never worked the whole trip..but Im not lowering my 5 stars because when I returned the vehicle in Sarasota, the customer service was again excellent and they removed the charge for the toll pass right away, absolutely no problem...the employees at the rental return in Sarasota were awesome...Enterprise has the BEST rates and service and I try not to rent from any other company and I recommend them to everyone in need of a rental car!
Enterprise has great cars but the price is expensive. The cars ride nice very well maintained and clean. Someone from Enterprise had written on the window the word GUS which was odd. When we inspected the vehicle at pick up we found a hair due rag, cleaning rag and silk underwear in the back seat. The staff at Enterprise is professional and took the items away. Even though the cars are nice and ride smooth Ill think about going back.
Excellent job at the check-in counter, they had my reservation ready and they were very efficient. Picking up the car was easy at the airport, they showed us some of the features of the car and how things worked, and instructed us where to bring the car back.Returning the car was extremely easy, just find a parking spot in the right place at the airport. The attendant was right behind us as we pulled into the parking space. He check us in very quickly and we were on our way to catch our flight. Very easy and efficient!I do have one complaint and that concerns the key fobs they give you. For this rental I received two very large key fobs that were attached together and could not be separated. These were very bulky to carry around in pocket or purse. One large key fob is bad enough, but two? Why do I need two keys that cant be separated?
Terrible service...and inconsistent training for branches, possibly. Rental reserved for 3 weeks. Picked up a car in Raleigh, NC on July 3rd 2020, nothing in the category reserved was available, but agent informed me the car can be switched out at any Enterprise location if it is uncomfortable. ( full size car reserved, received Camaro ) Drove 10:30 hrs to Rochester, NY for work, and it was uncomfortable so I decided to go ahead and switch this out at 4111 W Henrietta Rd, Rochester, NY 14623, agent informed me they were low on cars but advised I swap at airport. Came to the airport, informed Carl Mannillo the whole situation and he stated car swap was not allowed due to COVID-19, I am all puzzled at this point. Do you provide brand new cars to each customer or do you not clean the cars ? I emphasised once again I have the car for three weeks, and if I did not have to drive another over 10 hrs home I would not have cared to swap. He replied “you are not special”, what? And stated he is not risking getting fired to swap a car and system would not allow it anyways. So other locations did not have the same policy in place? He proceeded to advise me on cancelling the reservation altogether. I asked for someon else to speak with, only to find out he is the branch manager with EarPods in the whole time! Hate to leave Enterprise due to one incident, I had excellent service in the past at this branch, fly in several times a year. This was not even close to acceptable customer service. Now renting from Avis
No problems, the rental I wanted was available as promised, car was in great shape, I was sorry to return it. Easy check in and check out process. My only complaint I guess was that I had to use this location because my rental started on a Sunday, Id rather other enterprises offer sunday hours.
Straight up scammed meRental agent when we were picking up the car managed to up sell us by saying we could rent a ezpass and that enterprise would cover any tolls incurred while using it. Cut to returning the tag and suddenly “the tag didn’t scan” and we will get a letter from ny state with billing for the tolls. Also even if the tag did scan they only cover 20%, wait no 10% wait no they don’t cover anything the tag is worthless. (The guy was obviously lying he couldn’t keep his story straight) now it’s our job to clean up their messTo:dr if you are going to rent from these crooks RECORD THE CONVERSATION WITH THEM
The staff was friendly and helpful. I arrived early and my vehicle was not ready. But everyone kept me informed and in about 20 min I was on my way. My only issue is pricing. At downtown rental locations the prices are 25% to almost 50% less. Of course when you fly in, you have no way to get downtown. Thats the only downside to an otherwise great experience.UPDATE: Since my review, the manager at Enterprise called me personally to explain. Airport fees drive of the rental costs. For a few dollars, you can get a taxi to an off airport Enterprise location and save. Probably not worthwhile for a one-time trip, but if youre a frequent traveler to ROC, you may want to consider that option.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful picking up the car in Rochester, although I did feel a tiny bit rushed signing the paperwork, and didnt read over everything as I should have. My fault mostly. Was presented with a billing problem when I returned the car, the bill was 4 times as much as the estimate given to me. Regardless of what the issue was, every single person working at CMH when I returned went out of their way to help me. The problem was fixed with a smile, and I did not have to fight one inch for anything. They made a loyal customer out of me that day. Car was pretty nice, too. Very clean and comfortable to drive.
My wife rented a pick up truck to visit our son at collage. She thought it would be fun. The next day she went back and changed it to a car because she had trouble parking and backing it up. She it took all of 5 minutes for the exchange to happen, no additional charges and they were very understanding. She rented the pick up at a much lower rate then even the compact cars were going for at the time so she was very happy.
Rented a mini van for 5 days. Pick up and drop off at Rochester Airport were super quick and easy. Very friendly staff at the pick-up counter. Received a phone call half way through the rental period to make sure the vehicle was operating Ok and that I was satisfied with my rental.
Checking and getting the vehicle was a breeze, the staff was super helpful and very nice considering it was past 11pm when I finally got to pick up my car. However, when I returned the vehicle, there were no attendants outside to help me with the process. I looked around for about 10 minutes then went inside only to stand in line for another 15 minutes. By the time the man in front of me was at the counter, I had 15 minutes to get through security and to my gate. The desk receptionist was again very friendly and helpful, but I didn’t have time to explain my experience with the car, only enough to leave the keys with her and some comments. I didn’t feel very secure about the process and sure enough, I received a damage incident report in the mail a week, despite my efforts to explain what damage I found on the vehicle. While the explanation was rushed on my part, but the customer service during the return process did offer an opportunity to fix the issue then and there. Please make sure customers know where to find the outside attendants and if they’re not there, a reminder that you have to do the process inside, which may include the timely waiting in line.
Rented a car for a month and the car needed oil change, the systems would shut off while I was driving and we would lose gps so trip from Miami took a couple hours longer because of that. Wasted gas. Representative didn’t care. Got back and it was a hassle to return the car because no one saw my rental. Paying $2,000 because I’m a young renter and used roadside assistance and damage wasn’t worth it fully that time. I am so disappointed. I loved the vehicle other than getting us lost and spending more gas money. Nice girl outside.:)
Outstanding customer service and always reliable cars. I have been w enterprise rental for 8 years not once a problem and in particular this Rochester Airport location was amongst best- convenience and excellent customer service, as Enterprise loyalty member my car was upgraded and Thank You Sandy (Front Desk) for taking great care of our vacation!!!
I have been renting from Enterprise at Rochester International Airport for years. They are usually friendly and reliable, although almost never have the kind of car (Compact) I request, which is frustrating. Usually the cars run well and are in excellent condition however. This last time I arrived at 11:30pm and while there was someone at the counter inside the airport, there was no one in the lot outside, and I had to find and figure out how to operate the car myself, which was not very comfortable so late at night. Otherwise, service is usually very good.
Car rental was fine accept we were overcharged we and asked for a credit. We are still waiting for one... my wife was on the phone for three hours sorting it out. We were promised a credit but instead we were just charged an additional fee. So we will no longer ever rent from your company again.
Always cooperative, a better deal than the pre pay sites because car can be cancelled without penalty if for some reason the trip is cancelled or cut short. Every car Ive had from Enterprise has met my requirements (simplicity) and posed no mechanical problems. People are always helpful.
UPDATE!Enterprise contacted me shortly after this review and apologized for the incident. They indicated that an immediate deduction is not their policy. They refunded my extra charges and said they would make sure their employees would be told the correct procedures which are a negotiation with the insurance and credit card company. Thanks for paying attention Enterprise!Felt like I was dealing with the Mafia. Was informed that if I didnt purchase their insurance and I got a scratch on their car, they would immediately deduct $500 from my credit card. This even though Im covered for any accident bt my credit card. Figured it would cost me more to recover my money than to pay the insurance charge - felt like extortion to me.
I had a great experience. I didnt originally book with enterprise, I booked with hertz. It was actually after midnight and they were technically closed when I was treated so poorly by hertz that I walked to the enterprise desk and asked if he had anything available. He worked with me, found me something, it was better and cheaper and got me done in a quarter of the time I spent at the hertz counter.
The quality of the Enterprise experience has gone down over the past year. My most recent experience was short staffed inefficient processing at an airport terminal. The staff were super nice but on a holiday weekend anyplace involved with travel should be staffing up not down.
They were extremely helpful when I went to pick up the car. Friendly, professional and kind. I drove to CVG airport. Only hang up was when I went to return the car at 3:30am, the drop off address was incorrect and it took me 30 minutes to figure out where to leave the car.
Excellent service - nice car. Got a Kia Soul on a one way ride.Only one hangup - maybe my own misunderstanding. No one told me that a $300/ deposit is taken (though - it was buried on the invoice) on a hold basis. Needless to say, when the Credit Card company called in about possible fraud, I was a little shocked. Anyway.............sorted out fine. Also really nice that I was able to transfer my Emerald Club points from National so that I could use Enterprise and get the drop-off I needed at the end of the day. Thank You!
The staff at Enterprise made renting a car so easy! Troy who waited on us was able to help us get a rental, fast, easy and for not too bad a price. We had originally booked w Hertz through AAA but when we didn t have a Credit Card on us so Hertz referred us to Enterprise and was able to book w my debit card. THANK YOU SO MUCH TROY AND TEAM!!! Will only rent w Enterprise now going forward.
I booked it in advance and when I went to pick it up they told me they needed a credit card. Nowhere on the website or booking did it state I needed that. Then I called Enterprise to speak with someone about picking a car up at a different location, explained my situation and they said a debit would be fine with an out of state license with NO issue only to get to the 2nd location only to be told that cant happen without a credit card. Even though I was told over the phone it would be fine. This company needs to get it together. I dont normally leael bad reviews. But its been a hassle to say the least. Never had I had so many issues. Never coming here again.
Easy experience with friendly, helpful people. Got a very nice car, excellent price, clean and no line for pickup or return. I left my coat in the car and the people working there put it aside for me. When I came back to get it a couple days later, the guy working there ran back to the terminal in a blinding rainstorm to get it for me with no complaints.
Rented car in Rochester to be dropped off at Newark Airport. Agent did not put vehicle serial number on contract. At drop off, wireless system was not working so went inside. Agent had to call to figure out what to do. Ran out to car to get serial number, came back and then couldnt complete transaction/close out on system. Call his supervisor who said to let me go (it was late) and they complete the transaction and mail receipt to me. It was 2 days before receipt came meanwhile, I received an automated note from Enterprise saying I was late turning in my vehicle. Very unhappy and never again...
Dont rent anywhere else. This enterprise has insanely good customer service, unlike the other agencies ive used, you never pay more than the originally advertised price, and are extremely fair when it comes to fixing issues with rentals. For example, when i rented a car with quality and cleanliness issues that were not initially ovbious, i was fairly compensated for their mistake. The companys business model seems to emhasize customer retention, in other words they really want you to have a good experience with them.
I dropped my car off early in the AM (5:00 am) before my flight going home. Upon going through security, I realized I left something valuable in the car. I called and realized they didnt open until 7:30. I left a message and got on my flight. I called again when I touched down at 8:00 to their direct line. I called again at around 12pm and finally after not getting through again a 4th time at 3pm, I called an enterprise near them. Shocker, someone picked up right away. I explained the situation that I had left something in the car at the airport and I couldnt get through. He said he was sending an email to the office for them to call me. Never got any return phone call after calling numerous times and leaving messages. I realize its my fault for something falling out of my bag, but I called and left many messages for them to get back to me within hours of me realizing the mistake. Beware, if you lose anything, you will not get it back. I also called the next day just in case and it went to voicemail again. TERRIBLE.
Enterprise is usually a good rental car company, but this time they blew it. I landed at the Rochester, NY airport at 6 PM Christmas day to find that the Enterprise booth had just closed. A sign sent me to the Alamo booth where I found that despite having a prepaid rental, the only choices I had left were a Hyundai Accent and a Dodge pick-up truck. I took the Hyundai., which was in the National lot. There was no one in the lot and when I got into the car, I found it really STANK. It smelled as though someone had smoked in it for years. During the six days I had the car, I tried two kinds of air fresheners without success. When I turned the car back in, I made sure that I wasnt charged for the smell. The representative said he couldnt make any adjustment on my bill because the reservation had been made through Expoedia, but did give me a signed card to give to the manager next time I am in Rochester for three days of free rental. I fault Enterprise for not letting me know they were going to close early when I made the reservation and for renting a car with a stench.
Everything went smoothly at Rochester. Very friendly. I returned the car to Watertown, NY the next day. Young girl looked my rental over and found a small indentation on the trunk hood that she said she had to write up. I was tempted to take a hammer to the trunk and show her what a real dent looked like. LOL. Anyhow Im still waiting to hear if they are going to charge me to fix it. Be very careful and look the car over because you know they will and try to extort money from you. Not very pleased. Never had trouble like this before.
Was on traveling to Rochester for the business trip with two other team members. I received an email three hours before arriving stating that my rental car was ready to be picked up. When we landed in Rochester was given a two door sports car, when I had reserved a full size. Asked the lady working what other options we had as this was not going to work, she did not try to help, and instead started lecturing me on the fact that she didnt make the cars and could not do anything about the two doors. There was a whole lot full of SUVs available, she walked away before I could even suggest that wed pay for a larger vehicle even though they had managed to give away our car since sending me the confirmation that it was ready to be picked up. Spend an entire week sticking an adult in the almost nonexistent backseat of the two door car.
My co-worker and I were supposed to land in Buffalo but due to a very bad snowstorm the pilot got down to about 100ft off the ground and could not see the runway, so, he pulled up and diverted to Rochester. We ultimately decided to stay in Rochester and work out other arrangements.Lucky for us the counter was staffed with the most pleasant woman that I have had an opportunity to deal with. After hearing our plight, she found us a vehicle (a red Ford Transit...more than we needed, but it did the trick) for the week and honored the corporate pricing in the original reservation that I had arranged for Buffalo.Im sorry that I do not recall her name because she really deserves a public shout-out. Awesome customer service skills and a very funny, charming, wonderful person.I personally prefer to use Enterprise because the pricing is really good and the people are great to work with. Especially in Rochester.
Upon getting off the plane and making it to the rental desk we found that the full size car (I am tall) was not available even though we had made the reservation in advance. The vehicle provided was a brand new Ford F150 truck. We did approve the rental at the terminal because we have a pick up truck at home. When we received the truck we did not know it would NOT have a step up bar and we struggled to get in. It was a little inconvenient and my wife was sore at times. Other than getting in and out of the vehicle it was GREAT! only 450 miles on it and plenty of power. Next time we rent we will check the vehicle out before committing. Checking in and then out when we left was very easy.
My bag was stolen with my phone, wallet, identification everything inside while I had a rental car. I called and left NUMEROUS amounts of messages about needing to extend the rental. No response. I returned the rental I then PAID IN FULL only to be told that I was BANNED from renting again because they called the contact number given to them (the phone that had been stolen) to get payment for extending the rental (the card in my wallet that was stolen). The guy Jeremy who said he was a manager would not allow me to speak to another manager and said if I called corporate that it would be bounced back to him. I have NEVER had an incident with renting a vehicle and this rediculous that as an airline employee who needs to rent vehicles often that this would happen to me because my things were stolen. Enterprise has 0 compassion!
Rented a compact SUV and got a Ford behemoth yielding at best 20mpg. It was filthy: third-row seats were never cleaned because theyd been retracted, and there was a dog treat in the door pocket. The exterior looked like the car had been driven in the rain - also not clean. Steering wheel sticky, all windows full of childrens and/or animal smudges.
Ive been using Enterprise for a very long time. Not sure what the issue is but the process of picking up a vehicle at the Rochester airport is painfully long. They always start the paperwork from scratch, ask way too many that should be auto fed from your profile. The process needs to be streamlined for ease of use.
We have rented car, mini-vans and cargo vans from Enterprise in Rochester and all over the USA, they have always a pleasure to work with. The individuals working with us have always been professional, sharp and courteous. They are well managed and smooth running team.Leon Brill
I rented a car to deal with a sudden death in thre family and ended up being charged twice the normal weekly rate due to extra day charges. Then they tried to charge me over $500 for a one-way rental. I canceled my rental agreement and a friend made the exact same one-way rental for $65. RIPOFF!!!!
The service and the vehicle was fine; however it seems to be the same thing with all Car Rental companies that at the end of the rental all these hidden fees show-up, which ruins the experience. If it is a one-way rental there are drop-off fees, the rate is different at an airport, government surcharge, sales tax, tire and battery fee, VLF REC vehicle license fee etc. I probably wont be renting for awhile.
The ROC Enterprise counter is a busy place. The staff there are pragmatic, quick, articulate, courteous. The vehicles have always been fine ... clean, functional, and exactly as depicted. Ive rented there many times and will again when business takes me to the northeast.
Specifically asked for an AWD or 4x4 vehicle. Was given the option of a Dodge Durango. I was up from Tennessee and a storm was on its way in this past weekend. It didnt seem to actually be either. Called customer service and they couldnt verify. Went to the location where I picked it up after calling close to 10 times where it was always giving a busy signal. They told me that it was based on its SKU number because they couldnt verify by looking at the vehicle themselves either. Turns out it wasnt... I got stuck in my friends driveway for several hours. Thats how I found out... So that being said Im extremely dissatisfied. Ive been renting for years from Enterprise and wont ever again.
Received a ticket for a plate lamp a year ago in their vehicle which was not resolved until about 2 days ago. I have been calling and emailing and even though they say Mgmt will get back to you, no one ever does. I still have not received a call back from the Mgr at the airport location or its Regional Mgr as I was told that I would. Ive even emailed care@enterprise who once again referred me to the Mgmt at the airport. They have no sense of urgency in resolving customer issues/complaints.
Staff was very courteous during my interactions with them.I was given a VW Jetta initially, but the passenger front tire had a slow leak.I ended up having to put around $5 of air in the tire. While I was not offered compensation for the money I used on air, they did make the transfer of the car very simple. Put me in a new Chevy Cruze.
Loved the car ,easy to rent .... BUT I needed to add a driver to contract . I was meeting my daughter at another city to car pool. I had her lic# and info -but not able to do unless it was in person. She went to her Enterprise in her town (Elmira)and could not do it either with out me ( in Rochester,ny) . We had to go together at a 3rd ENTERPRISE in the town we met(Olean NY)and they could NOT reach the Rochester Enterprise It appears all the Enterprises are not on the same computer system !!! We called Roch. Enterprise for 3 hours straight . TRYING to get SOMEONE to answer the phone!!!! All the while we had only 1 driver for a 12 hr drive. (but the Olean employee said she can drive as long as you are careful. WHAT???? Can you say Insurance???? Finally someone returned our call with a private text no. to send picture of i.d. and lic.# As long as we have the lic. number and info you should be able to drive - your picture is on the license !! Very frustrating !!!!
I was misinformed about payment options it was hard to find exactly where the Enterprise was because I had never been inside the airport when I got there I was told I would have to go to a different location on my way to a different location the gentleman at the Airport Enterprise cancelled my reservation without even telling me so I wasted my whole morning and I was not able to get a rental car I will not ever get a riddle from Enterprise horrible service
The staff here went above and beyond in every way imaginable when I needed their help during a really crazy incident. This is a great location. For many of you reading this, youre probably sort of a captive audience, but Id recommend picking this spot over the other rental options at the terminals if you can!
Checking out was a great experience at ROC. Checking back in was a bit less than ideal. Three people in the booth—a hard working black woman and a white woman and man who were just talking with each other while customers were waiting—until of course, the white guy shows up and they’re all over him! And for the record, I’m white as well.
The staff there worked maniacally to get me in the vehicle I wanted. Unfortunately, circumstances arose and I was unable to get there in time to get the car and the deal I was made was taken off the table, but I accept the situation and very much appreciate the service and effort put into getting me a vehicle.
We took an early flight in and the car was one that was a smokers car and smelled like disgusting incense was sprayed all over it...we were offered another vehicle but we were so tired and didnt want to wait. Point is we should have been notified that it was a smokers car and asked if that was okay. On top of that it was filthy dirty and hard to see through the windows......
Bad experience. Called multiple times to the Brooks Avenue Enterprise. No one answered the phone, left messages asking for someone to return my calls. Never heard from them. Horrible customer service. The person who was responsible for returning calls should be fired!
What can I say?Well throughout ALL the years I have only frequented one location on Buell Rd.Love that location,NOT saying you cant get good service at the other locations. But this location has always treated me like family, quick service, courteous and always helpful when a problem arises at any given.moment.Love yall at this location near the airport in Rochester,NY.

2022-06-29Rented a car here for the weekend. Great experience overall--car was good, check-in and drop-off were easy, bill was accurate, staff were efficient and friendly.I flew in for the weekend to visit Rochester, and the rental car worked very well. The car was in good condition, clean on both the outside and inside, and looked like it had been well taken care of. There were no problems out on the road, all the systems worked, and it was a comfortable ride.Check-in and drop-off were fairly efficient. There were enough staff at the counter that the wait to check-in was not too long, and within minutes of my arrival to drop-off the car, I was met by staff to turn it in.Staff were friendly and professional. Check-in staff had some good suggestions for things to do and places to eat.So overall good experience.

2022-01-26I needed a rental while my car was in the shop. It was very easy to extend the rental while my car took longer to get fixed. The rental needed service and I quickly got a replacement vehicle within 30 minutes and was fine until I got my vehicle back. Will definitely use in the future.

2022-06-28I recently picked up a car in Rochester, NY. The no-contact pick up process is not customer service friendly. When I went to the garage to retrieve my car, someone handed me a set and keys and said your car is over there and just pointed. I did my own walk around and found my car to have several scratches and dents to where I had to go find a representative to make sure it was logged so that I was not charged for damage that I did not do. I was not provided any type of paperwork, only the managers business card to where she said if anyone gives you an issue, here is my name. The inside of the car was not very clean. It was vacuumed, but the windshield was very dirty.

2022-06-04Called ahead to confirm my reservation and ask if that they would be available after 11pm at the Rochester, NY airport. Was assured that with the flight information I provided, they would have staff and cars available until 2am. Upon arrival NO staff and their customer service did nothing but make excuses. Shame on you Enterprise!! And BTW at least 4 others from the flight had reservations with you as well. So for all of us it was AVIS to the rescue!! You can bet we will remember this next time!! After years of preferring the Enterprise brand, this was a very disappointing showing!!

2021-12-07Great rental car experience and the staff made it happen. Needed to upgrade a vehicle for a long cross country one way and Scott at the counter was excellent. Stay with me the entire process, called his manager a few times to verify options and ended up getting me the perfect car for the journey. These people care and will absolutely make ERAC my go to rental car agency just from this experience alone.

2022-04-04Everything about my rental was handled poorly by the enterprise telephone customer service team. My father had just passed away and I had to rush to Canada to deal with his affairs. From providing misinformation about the use of points, to having no idea where their return location was in Raleigh North Carolina, to their lack of sympathy and remarkable failure to even bother to offer their condolences on my father‘s passing their telephone customer service team was unhelpful, incompetent, and misinformed. This has been my experience with enterprise consistently. Their staff on the ground at service centers is exemplary, friendly, and helpful and have told me in the past they constantly have to deal with customers that are upset with the poor service they received from the telephone team. The only reason I will ever Rent from enterprise again is their representatives at the airports and the fact that I have some points to use. Once those points are gone I have no reason to continue my relationship with enterprise.

2021-12-02The car was ready for us when we arrived. The desk attendant was very cheerful and personable. The car was exactly what we reserved, low mileage, and absolutely spotless. We ended up accidentally leaving a wallet in the car when we dropped it off. The wallet was found by the Enterprise staff and returned promptly. Could not have gone any smoother!

2022-07-05I rented a vehicle online via Priceline and when my husband & I arrived to pick it up we were around the 4th or 5th customers in a line. It was announced to us all that they ran out of vehicles, despite the fact that everyone in line had reservations.Like us, everyone was a bit stunned and confused about how we rented vehicles yet they didn’t have any vehicles to rent.We were set to leave on vacation with a 12 hour drive and didn’t have a large enough vehicle for the trip. The manager at Enterprise was nice enough, but did state that there was nothing he could do for anyone and falsely promised without checking that Budget Rental could accommodate everyone and would price match. The Budget employees were incredibly nice, but had no knowledge of the supposed price match that the Enterprise manager falsely claimed. The Budget manager came out to the counter and helped the employees navigate upset customers and everyone ended up with vehicles to rent.We got the same size vehicle with Budget that was even cheaper than with Enterprise.I’ll never book with Enterprise again. How do they rent cars that they don’t have? I could understand if it was just us, but there were 4-5 other families as well. Very poor business practices.
