Fantastic sales & service -- dropped off my Sonic for a radio up-grade and rear camera install -- the last car Ill ever own so its a bucket list kind of thing.Dropped off the car at 9:AM-ish -- done before noon -- John ( the owner ) has been there forever ( when they cleared the woods to put up the building they found him sitting in the woods & gave him a job ) -- the install guy ( Chris ? ) - polite - personable - knows his stuff --I cant say enough about this place --- head and heals over best buy - who tried to up-sell me in the parking lot --Great place !
$150 auto start installed few dollars more for tax and they also hooked up the factory power locks to the same system for one fee with no surprises. I not only recommend you going there I am encouraging it. Very good staff. John is really good at explaining to you all of the options you could go with, then helping you find something to suite your individual style. They installed a 12 inch Kenwood sub and amp in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata and it was excellent. A few weeks later that car ended up dying, they removed everything for free and gave me a hefty discount on re installation in my new 2018 Honda Civic LX. Their hospitality is through the roof. If you need anything; tint, remote start, or audio upgrades this is the place to go. My family has been taking their cars there for years and I will continue that trend!
Would i have given my business had I known this would be the response after $ 2,400.00 was spent on Alpine redesign.Me: guages not working correctly 1st trip technician: blew me off.Me: 2nd attemptOwner: you understand we take the paying customers first, i was a paying customer glad i did not amplify my sound for 1,500.00 additional with this looser. I am also in customer service business.Guess what parkway fixed for 100.00 also did my sound and a remote start in my other vehicle ty car tunes..Dont dump your hard earned dollars in this dump.
I went here since its one of the most reputable shops in town. The owner, John has been in the business for decades and is extremely knowledgeable and confident. The head unit I had my eye for better part of a year had mixed reviews online for some reason (wireless mirroring and steering cntrols). John explained the science behind it, and the exact specs needed to make it work with my car. I did some research and pulled the trigger the following week. The technician, Tom was really cool and helpful. Kenwood he installed on my WRX is phenomenal and even maintained my factory steering controls! Wireless is flawless connect to my phone in seconds! Custom camera mount was clever and looks clean. The guys at car tunes know this business inside and out, highly recommend

Emailed John about installing a remote starter in my vehicle. He was quick to respond, provided a quote and we scheduled the appointment. All went smoothly and they finished the install in less than a hour. I would definitely recommend and use again.
I live approximately 5 min from this establishment and based on the reviews I was looking forward to working with them on several potential enhancements for my car. I walked in and met who I later on realized was John Malakassis at the front desk. I mentioned to him that i have a 2001 BMW 740I that i would like to have a remote start installed. He Immediately told me the cost which though seemed a bit high was not a problem for me so I simply said ok. He then told me i would need a 3rd key which would need to be installed locally in the car in order for the remote start to work. I then said to him, no problem I have a 3rd key. He then said ok well give me your name and number and I will get back to you to see if its worth doing the install. Me being the mild mannered person I am, I still did not take offense thinking he would at least be professional enough to call me back to say whether he would perform the install or not and why. Safe to say i never received a call back. Very dissappointed in the professionalism. Would never attempt going or calling back nor would i recommend this place to anyone.
The best there is! Used these guys 12 years ago and again last month on my new truck. They were just as great this time around. Both systems exceeded my expectations. 10000% would recommend them. Wouldns go anywhere else.
Jon and his crew does great work and are extremely polite and accommodating. On top of that, I had a minor issue with my speakers that was no fault of CarTunes and Jon fixed it at no cost. Above and beyond service. Highly recommend.

I spoke to John at the store about upgrading my factory system in my 2019 Subaru Impreza. John took me through a demo of various speaker sets and components. John is extremely knowledgeable, and so I trusted him with my car. I went for a complete upgrade. Speakers amp and sub. The quality of the work is top notch and the system performance is simply mind blowing. No issues what so ever. I highly recommend this shop.
John and his team are great! They installed HIDs for my vehicle which is pretty difficult to do for my vehicle with the limited options available. They help me troubleshoot and are always prompt with their responses and turnaround. John is also really great with explaining how the system works and I’m so grateful. Had a remote start installed in my daughters car at Car-Tunes. It was the 3rd car I had done there over the last couple of years. I dont trust my cars to anyone else especially when there needs to be wires cut. Tom did the last install and did a great job. Nice clean install.
Im reading the few negative reviews and I find them very hard to believe. Ive been coming to Car Tunes since 2007 with my first car. Ive had nothing but great experiences with these guys. Ive gone in with ideas and have gotten professional opinions whether theyre in my favor or not. John knows... I do a lot of research before I make my purchases here and I have to say they are absolutely fair priced. Ive called up several times in one week just to get Johns opinion on something and he was more than happy to help me out and provide me with everything he can so Im not stuck in the dark on something.I personally like having a go-to shop when it comes to my cars. Whether its body work, mechanical work, or work such as what Car Tunes does. I trust them with my vehicles and I think they do an excellent job and Im happy to say that they are my go-to guys when it comes to anything that Id like to upgrade when it comes to almost ANYTHING electronic. And not just them doing the actual work, but it is comforting knowing that if I have a question I can just call them up and theyre happy to help me over the phone with no problem at all. I recommend them to friends all of the time.
Had their standard remote start added to my vehicle. Has been working with out any issues at all. Yea prices are a little higher then most places, but when they offer you a lifetime Warrenty with their installations you cant beat that. Peace of mind and great service.
Ive had remote start equipment installed on two of my vehicles at this place so I went back here to have my automobiles stock radio upgraded to a modern system with all the bells and whistles. The salesperson is well knowledgeable in this area and outlined a few options that went along with my budget. One of the things I especially liked is the fact that I will be able to keep all of my current opinions of the stock radio plus more, also they have a display area of the actual product rack mounted, they also broke down the cost on paper so I get to see exactly what I am paying for.I have an appointment next weekend for the installation and I will update this information right afterwards.

Everything you could possibly dream of putting in your car. The staff is exceptional and knowledgeable. No one is pushy or snobbish. Clean, professional and very reasonably priced. Awesome place!!! Great people. John and Phil, great guys.I brought my Ram truck there for a Bakflip folding cover. The install was done quickly and perfectly. Thank you mechanic Rob. The product came damaged from Bakflip, they let me leave with the damaged cover until the new one came in. Great customer service.Next up, I brought my 07 Edge in for a remote start and a backup camera. While it was done with expert precision and works flawlessly, the impressive part was Tommy taking the time to thorough go through the installation and explain how everything works. I came in and wanted an excellent sounding audio system for my 95 Altima. These guys went above and beyond by not only giving me just that, but going as far as to take care of another problem my car was having for a reasonable charge.John was very nice and patient with explaining things to me, the man obviously knows what hes talking about and takes great pride in what he does. The work these guys have done was phenomenal. Ive had tints done here and Ive had car stereo work done as well. John and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They take the time to thoroughly explain the work they did on your vehicle and show you how to use it. The staff is very friendly too! They are nice but after two hours they told me my radio was not compatible with the interface I brought, that there was nothing they can do, I had to figure it out myself after a few days. All was good and it was compatible 100%.
Incredible service all around, brought 4 cars to these guys and theyve done nothing but great things from custom installs for stereos, to auto starts. Would recommend to everyone who wants things done absolutely perfect. A lifelong customer for sure.

Need to catch up on the new way of audio and stop forcing people to buy what they want you to buy. It was a good spot back in the days. Now they talk to you anyway they want and lie to make money. The place is also very over priced.
In the age of mediocrity, it was a breath of fresh air to deal with this level of professionalism. Knowledgeable, punctual, and perfect describes this place. These guys know what their doing. Upgraded my Honda with a subwoofer. Worth every penny.
I dealt with Joe and Chris did the installation. My whole experience was great. No rushing, no “wheelin and dealin”, honest and knowledgeable staff. I got the Apple play kenwood head unit and alpine speakers/subs and everything came out beautiful. Highly recommend!

I seriously would love to know who you pay for these reviews. This is the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. If you do not mind spending your money with a company who could care less about professionalism then these are your guys. I could not even tell you whether or not a product was done correctly because if they do not have experience with what you need they treat you like you are an idiot and simply walk away. Their competition happily took care of me professionally and with a smile (unbelievable). There are so many car audio companies out there (Sight and Sound for instance) that can take care of ALL of your needs and not make you feel like an idiot, why spend your hard earned money on an unprofessional and downright rude staff? We work hard for our money, why give it to you?I see your response and I do not understand why it makes sense to you. If yourself and this person Joe were the only ones on the floor, then I guess the rudeness came directly from either of you. My husband was in your shop on New Years Eve. He was looking for a customized speaker and was told hope you didnt burn your online bridges, maybe have your wife reorder for you. Apparently, you didnt want to be bothered and walked away. Somehow, you seem to think thats Great Customer Service, but it is not. Maybe having to deal with an adult instead of a young kid left you unbalanced. I realize it is easier to deal with some young kid looking to pay with their parents hard earned money on their car. Again, there are plenty of car audio establishments in this immediate area. We were able to find one who was not only pleasant and professional, but very capable and far less expensive ($250.00 cheaper) then your verbal estimate. We wound up being extremely happy with our customized speaker and will use them again.So, to clear up your confusion, we are consumers. Customers who you let walk out of your establishment. A customer of a new car audio establishment, who made it easier to part with my hard earned money and definitely did not dismiss us and walk away. Goes to show you what GOOD customer service can do.

Every time I get a car, this is where I go to have my remote start put in. They are reliable, they stand by thier products and when my remote started my car, but the car shut down, they made sure they found the problem (no charge) . I recommend car tunes to anyone who wants the very best in customer service. The prices here are very reasonable.

Went in today to start seaching for remote starts and radios, the gentleman who greeted me was very polite and very informative on the products that were on display... he quoted me a great price on remote start and power locks for my 2012 nissan versa and i am definitely going back tomorrow for the install..................found out that they had the best price so i brought my car back and left it in the morning to get a starter and automatic door locks and not only did the installer did a hell of a job installing it they went out of their way to make sure it was done right. i got a phone call from the installer and wasnt able to answer it, they had found out i had cables instead of wire and made a call on their own and when i came in they immediately informed me and i trusted their decision and honesty they completed the install on time and at the price they quoted me...overall i am very happy with my experience and i am bring my car in again to get some tint and a 2dimm radio installed. Very professional, very polite and intergrity is second to none!Well finally saved up some money and went back to have a system installed, as always was given a great price that could not be beat and now i have a 7.1 surround sound in my car that i get to enjoy all the way to work. as usual they impressed me by how well the hid my speakers and amplifier. cant wait to get my other cars done!
I just purchased a used car and noticed it had a remote starter and/or alarm system installed, but I was not given a remote from seller. So, I went to car tunes to see if they could hook me up with a remote. They took vehicle indoors and came back 10 minutes later telling me that the remote start was a foreign made unit and there was no way to get a remote. They offered to install one of their remote starters at a discount (probably because most of the work was already done). I told them I would come back in a few weeks. Upon arriving home, I decided to look for the Remote starter control module and found the model number on it. When I googled the model number, I found out it was an Ultra Start model that is readily available throughout the United States. These guys are full of crap, and IMHO thieves. Stay away!!
I brought my car (2013 Ford Fusion) into Car-Tunes to have HiDs installed in the low beam and fog light. I had originally brought my car to other guy which said I had bought the wrong product and it couldnt be done. The only mistake was not going to Car Tunes FIRST! I dropped my car off the night before my installation appointment, they started working on my car immediately the next day. They professionally installed the lights, gave me a call and I picked up my car.I drove home and when I got home I experienced intermittent lighting/firing issues with one of the ballast/lights. I called CarTune and spoke to the owner who was very very accommodating and provided some insight. I purchased 2 new ballasts and SMD LED lights for the parking lights, when the parts arrived at my house I phones CarTunes again and scheduled to leave my car there the next day.They removed my dysfunctional ballasts and replaced it with the new ones I purchased(HID ballasts are funky, they either work or half work) As a courtesy they installed the SMD LED lights since they were already in there working on the lights. All of this work was done for FREE, he didnt charge me! Not only was the original price well within reasonable, but the 2nd appointment was done in good faith!Bottom line, the lights look fantastic! They operate perfectly (3 weeks later) The job was done professionally and neat! Not one single scratch or dent (and they had to remove my bumper to access the lights -TWICE)!I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! Tell them Mike with the Fusion sent you.Dont make the same mistake by making Car Tunes your second choice - it should be NUMBER ONE on your list.
I had an after market radio installed by them and they did a great job. The price was very reasonable and they took the time out and explained how to navigate through all the features.

The gentleman was nice, but uninformed that the public still enjoys playing music in cassettes. Therefore when I went there to look for a CD/cassette player for my car, their choices were limited to very little, and insisted that the combo wasnt made anymore.
The owner / manager goes out of his way to ensure his customers needs are addressed.I never had a bad customer experience at car tunes.

In reference to Rob Thies. Your review is one sided and does not accuratley explain our reasoning. An ultra start is an unpopular unit , where remotes are not accesible thru normal distribution. If we were to find these remotes which will cost between 25.00 to 50.00 each plus our labor to program them and your existing system does not work than you would be stuck with new remotes and no remote start. Also, if the system does work but fails shortly after or ends up causing car issues than again it was a waste of money. We offered you a Brand New system for 150.00 installed with two new remotes and a lifetime gurantee. If you wanted a remote start than that would be the correct move. Also, we spent 10 minutes on your vehicle and did not charge you a dime to see what unit was in there. If it was a name brand than you would have left with a new remote and a smile. Instead you decided to bad mouth me and my company that I have worked my butt off to keep going and employ good hard working people so they can feed their families. This is why I dont like these review sights....John
Ive been coming to Cartunes for over 10 years. John and his team have worked on all my cars. Recently, I purchased a Saab wagon for my wife. Chris, was able to install an Alpine 9 touch screen into the dash. It is a completely one of a kind install, and it looks factory! He was able to integrate the factory bose speakers, and added a small JL sub to round out the low end. The system sounds AMAZING.Going to Cartunes is definitely worth it. They have a customer for life.

Only go here to have my ignition interlock device switched out, but they always help me quickly so I can get on with my day. Only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because I do not know how they are with their other work.
Total rip off!! prices are ridiculous, can not do custom installs, very basic installs. If you have an opinion they will act very arrogant and make you feel ignorant. Will take advantage of customers that dont know anything about audio. Always talk nonsense behind their competitors.

Girlfriend recently got a kenwood kdc-x300. Radio sounds great. The time and date always are wrong and always say January 5 at midnight. Also the Bluetooth sucks. It always disconnects from the device. We went back twice to have these problems fixed and the same problems happened over again.

2022-05-08I wanted to upgrade the infotainment head on my daughters beloved 2012 Subaru Outback and bring it up to date for her birthday. Chris and John were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and absolutely value added regarding both price and service. They installed the new Kenwood head unit and hardware fully integrating it flawlessly. When we picked up the car, earlier than expected, Chris took the time to patiently walk us through the features and operation of the new unit. Aesthetically, It looks truly factory installed. This team and their antiseptically clean shop is absolutely top shelf. Remote start is next and lets just say Im going back to Car Tunes.Thanks again guys, 5 stars well earned.

2022-04-13I purchased a new Pioneer head unit and all the necessary components from Crutchfeld. Brought it here for installation based on the star ratings which must be BS. I had a very disappointing experience. First the installer chipped my wood grain center console and didn’t accept responsibility for it. Next they gave me back the car with horrible FM reception and said they couldn’t figure out why. Third, the backup camera they installed has a distorted display and the distance lines appear to be in the air. When I brought it back unsatisfied they said they would fix it in a month when they weren’t so busy. Brought it back and got a slight improvement on FM reception but same issues with the back up camera. Extremely disappointing…

2022-04-04Excellent service and knowledge across the board. John is super friendly abd gave me lots of great options after i told him what i was looking to do. He set me up with a great sound system that puts out amazing sound, but isnt over-the-top. His team even hooked up the LED lightbar on my grille. Hands down excellent service!!

2022-05-24Went to Car Tunes for alarm and remote start and a new double din head unit that included a back up camera. While I am please with the products, I am livid with the way they left my car. My trunk will not open with the key. I called them back and inquired about it. I was told they won’t fix it and to go to Toyota for wiring. My driver’s seat was bolted on loosely causing the drivers seat bolt cover to crack and break. My ECT power/snow button is broken and my traction control button was broken. Nevermind, the way they left my trunk. Clips were missing and the carpet wasn’t aligned. My driver side door panels weren’t clipped in correctly. They tapped self tapper screws to mount my camera in the bumper and drilled a hole through the sheet metal of my trunk to lazily run a wire. My car did not have those issues when I brought it to them for those upgrades. Would not recommend. Go elsewhere.

2021-12-13HONESTY, INTEGRITY, GREAT SERVICE!,Long story short, I took my older model car in to have an automatic start installed and was aware of the cost prior. Later in the day I received a call from John letting me know that one of the guys discovered I already had a kit in the car( hope I’m using the right term) so the price quoted was now less than half since I didn’t need the full job. Needless to say, I was elated and thankful they were honest enough to advise me of this.I’ve actually used this company in the past and was satisfied but never took the time to write a review. I just want to say thank you to John and the worker who made and reported the discovery (sorry, I forgot his name). Happy Holidays!

2021-07-15I had a great experience here. I wanted to replace the stereo in my old truck and the service here was top notch. They installed a new radio, all new speakers, a subwoofer and backup camera. Service was quick, well done and reasonably priced. John (who I assume is the owner) was polite and helpful and the other employees I interacted with were knowledgeable and helpful as well. All around it was a very good experience and Id highly recommend this place.
