They over cooked my pizza and also waited 25 minutes after the 45 they said it would take waiting for chicken wings
Quality and service on the decline for years. Made to wait an extra 20 minutes after already waiting a half hour for a PERSONAL PIZZA. Last time I was here they messed up someone elses order and gave them my pizza.Just dont.
The pizza is very good, and the ingredients are fresh!! The Price Is Right.
Hit or miss, wings need to be cooked longer and pizza is a bit thick on the dough side.
If I could leave a 0 star review....I would. Dont do takeout. Dont dine in. Just dont. Alden and batavia have plenty other pizza options available. Service is mediocre at best and the wait time after calling AHEAD left ample time to make a whole other pizza. In conclusion....if you feel like wasting an hour of your day for food that makes you go meh....check out Carbones. I recommend you walk, because nobody knows how to park. But hey! I guess theyre hiring. Maybe one of yall can fix these problems. Cheers!
Let me start by saying how much I love the Carbones in Buffalo. Best royal subs in western New York. This location not so much. Ordered a few subs that were all made wrong and over cooked. Also a garlic bread with mozzarella that they folded like a sub so it melted together. Blind monkeys can honestly do better. With the experience I have in the industry I understand how difficult it is but this is unacceptable. If you can’t handle making orders right maybe cooking isn’t for you and be better suited pushing carts at Tops down the street. Maybe that is your calling. Best of luck on your future endeavors! Don’t let the one star fool you, I’m forced to leave a star.
Absolutely TERRIBLE takeout.Ordered 5 subs and a salad. Salad did not have chicken on it and also had the wrong dressing, subs did not have Mayo or cheese on them and garlic parm bread with cheese was all caked together and awful. YES, we did ask for the additions to the sub and salad when ordering.Sausage on subs was also way over cooked.When I called to speak to a manager, I was put on the phone with a kid that just said “oh sorry”.I WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT be ordering there again, worst $70 I spent today.Poor quality, poor taste, poor management.
My friends and i ordered several subs, a garlic bread with cheese and a salad from here on our way home from Rochester. We live in Elma, so its a bit out of the aay, but weve had a good experience with the Carbones in the city, so we were willing to go out of our way. That wont happen again. The subs were awfully prepared and not a single item was made correctly.The salad was supposed to have chicken on it; it didnt. On top of that the olives tasted... off.Two royal subs were ordered; neither was made properly. The turkey sub was made with too much mayo, so much that it was practically swimming in it.As an Irishman, the garlic bread is an insult to all Italians everywhere.The assorted sub came missing mayo and cheese, both of which were requested and the turkey sub had the wrong cheese on it, and was ALSO missing its mayo.This level of service is the kind Id expect from a two year old playing make believe at their toy kitchen, not from a business with the reputation of excellence that Carbones has. The xity location has such a great reputation for great quality and exceptional service. That has not occurred here.I dont enjoy leaving this review, but, unfortunately, theservice was horrendous to the point of requiring it. Seventy dollars better off being burnt on a fire with more enjoyment being taken from it.if this isnt corrected, expect a steep decline in sales and customer satisfaction.Also, hiring a manager over the age of huh, what? would probably help in this endeavor, as being told Im sorry is no proper response when being made aware of these problems. Do better, be better, or the business will suffer.
Ordered pizza and was told it could be ready by 6:15... Pizza was ready and had to wait 30 more minutes for the wings while watching other customers leaving with their food. Understand things come up accidents happen but an apology would be nice at least. For the price we will never go back.
The food here is normally good, however this time I was there at the exact time they gave me. Pizza was ready and wings would be a few more mins. After 15 mins I asked about them and they were ready the whole time. Pizza and wings were cold by the time I got home. (Only 5 mins away)
Not from the area. Have Carbones tho where I live. Last time I ordered from Alden they didnt put much sauce on. So.today I asked the girl to put just a lil extra sauce but stated not to wet twice omg it was drenched.
I had ordered Garlic Parmesan fingers because I heard they were the best. Sadly mine were over cooked and not very good. Im not sure if I will go back.☹️

Only a few years ago, this place was totally awesome any time they were open.However, the last couple of years it has gone downhill in customer service, attention to detail and quality.The flavor is still the best around on anything they serve...BUT BEWARE... and Do Not... take for granted that what you order will even be ready close to when they say its going to be ready and that what you ordered will actually be what you get and that it will be prepared properly.
Im from the Northtowns visiting our cousins who live in Alden and looking for a good pizza. Look no further, I ordered a large pizza and when I went to pick it up there was a line to get in, I felt good about my choice.to order from Carbones. The pizza was awesome, crispy crust, lots of cheese and they dont skimp on the sauce. If youre in the area and looking for great pizza, wings or subs this is your place, this Northtowner was impressed!
Screwed up our order AGAIN. Lg Pizza. Fingers & fries. They made poorly cooked wings which cost more than we planned to spend let alone did not want. Said they could fix it if we stood there 15min. While our pizza got cold. So my husband excepted the incorrect order which they charged us in full for. They get our order right maybe 30% of the time. Unfortunately there is never an adult in sight to speak with about it anyway. Its always my last choice because of the poor service.
I picked up 30 wings on a Sunday just before they closed and they were hardly sauced and spongy and came with NO blue cheese after I specifically asked for 2 blue cheese. im very disappointed in this location.
The pizza is possibly the best in Alden although its only decent. They could certainly benefit from Manager that is beyond puberty. The inconsistency is aggravating. I would bet that a manager would allow for half the staff and twice the quality. Good luck with your orders people!
Carbones Pizzeria organization in Alden is terrible. Doubled billed me provided proof and still no credit. Had a credit waiting for me. They lied saying I called placed order after speaking with Dorothy so called manager that I would save my credit for later in week. Fake news staff says I used my credit for pizza. Wasnt for me but my elderly pastor and wife. Comes down to they lost my statement of double charge and never really wanted to replace my food. All talk no action. Horrible place. Lost long time customer.
We used to order from here and it really was the best in the area. We had a late night at work and decided to order from here. Im sorry to say that my pizza was horrible and the other persons wings had no sauce and were dried up. On top of that it was 29 dollars for 10 wings and a medium pizza.I dont think we will ever go back after that.
Love their pizza. It’s the best in the area - really good sauce and dough, and it’s not only affordable but also CONSISTENT!!! Their BBQ sauce is a weird though.... was happy that they actually sauced our fingers - a lot of places seem incapable of doing so! Will try their normal sauces fingers next time!! This is the shop we keep coming back to! A+
Moved to Marilla 3 years ago and have never had a more delicious pizza in my life. Everyone I have ever had try it when visiting has the same opinion. Great job people! Service is excellent as well. Kudos!
The pizza is greasy most of the time when I order. This time I ordered a sheet pizza vs. a large and I was not happy. I was told 45 minutes, I arrived 5 minutes later and I heard them talking about how they put it in the oven too late. I brought the pizza home and most of the pizza was doughy with way too much cheese on it and the crust around the pizza was covered in cheese and was very greasy. Their pizza is inconsistent. I think its time to stop going here for good.

Found this place on my way to Buffalo for an event. Friends called at said they wanted pizza and I was not gonna go off the straight shot I had. So searched and found this place. Great pizza and wings. They had the order ready at the time I said I would be passing by.
Average at best. Topping were raw and barley cooked. Probably because the young kid kept opening the oven every 10 seconds for no reason just to poke the crust, was driving me nuts while i waited. Oh ya, no pizzeria needs 10 employees standing around

Ive eaten Pizza at Carbones for over 40 years and its still as good now as it was back then. Theyve always had the best pepperoni and have always made a consistent pizza pie. I cant really speak to their other offerings bit I do enjoy their pizza.
Disgusting! Spend your hard earned money at any of the other pizza shops in town that actually care about the quality of their food, preparation and service! I ordered large pizza, double dough (because their regular pizza is so paper thin and soggy) with cup & char pepperoni and half mushrooms, a double order of wings half Hot/half BBQ. Was told 25 min. I showed up in 35 min....wrong pizza and the box of wings said my order but only had a single order of BBQ in it and the wings are huge but barely fried and soggy. So the girl working the fryer gets a little sassy tude because the other kid working their shows her the wing order is wrong and that the wings look like junk. Luckily the lady that had my pizza returned and we got that squared away. I asked to just get my money back for the wings so my pizza doesnt get cold and the kid at counter says she already dropped new order and will be done shortly. So I wait. Get home, and low and behold its all garbage. Wings are like boiled chicken with butter on them. No crispness to be found here. They were boiled in grease and then topped with butter not hot sauce. The pizza is no different then normal and there is nothing cupped or charred about the pepperoni. This job is not rocket science...just lacks any care there and just trying to rush food out the door. Hope no one gets sick. So there is $35 in the garbage can. Would be nice if there was an adult or someone in charge there, its just left to a bunch of kids to run. Not to mention the guy that was ahead of me was waiting a long time too because his order was messed up as well. Go to John & Marys or La Palomas...consistent and good quality of food every time!
Just ordered 3 chicken finger subs two hot and 1 mild. And they messed the whole order up. None of them were the right sauce. The toppings werent right... No offense but having all young kids in there with no adult or manager anywhere probably isnt the greatest. And none of them know what they are doing. They gave the person after me the wrong order.. like yikes.
Just picked up a triple order of wings asked for xtra crispy med the wings are like rubber taste like there not even cooked through and less then mild this is the second time this happened we order from there on a weekly no more were done.i guess I have to eat cereal now lol
After ordering a Lg cheese and pepperoni Pizza and single order of Wings Mild, my husband went to pick them up and when he got there he was told there was no order for him in his name. The guy at the counter never asked who might have taken the order, or for that matter could he re-order it and would my husband mind waiting?? At no time did he even say he was sorry! We come from the Attica/ Bennington area so its not like we were just around the corner...Terrible way to handle a customer!! Not sure i would be willing to try again based on the customer service alone!

So disappointing. My cheeseburger sub was more of a cheeseburger soup. Honestly used to enjoy their food but last two or three times ordering have been way below par.
Horrible service on Labor day. They obviously they took too many orders. My order was 40 mins late. The pizza was ready and no wings and they just left the pizza sitting out while they made the wings.
Great pizza! we always order a bunch of pizza for our crew and home owner when were setting a modular home and this is a great spot to order from when youre in the Alden area.
The food has been awful here the last couple times. Wings are soggy, the pizza is not cooked. On top of it they can never get the order right, every time I ask for a call from the owner I never get a call back. Done spending my money here.

Solid food and prices, but can be aggravating takeout. I dont mind waiting an extra fifteen minutes for my order, but rather not show up early based on their estimation to sit there for fifteen minutes.Also parking can be a nightmare. Nitpicking, but still solid place.

This worker named Xander Phillips was serving me my pizza I asked for pepperoni none on the pizza and it was overcooked and burnt and it had white sticky sauce on it 1 star not a good worker. Never coming again
Probably the best place in Alden to get pizza. Still isnt as good as it used to be, but the other choices in Alden are typically inconsistent or down right disgusting. For that reason, I will stick to Carbones.
A bunch of kids in the kitchen rushing pizzas out of the oven. They dont listen to details on the phone or fix/accomadate their screw ups. There are many options in alden for pizza. I will not return here.

The place is open until 11pm, I called at 10:35p. And was told they stop taking orders at 10:30pm because they close at 11... not happy at all.. that should be posted on the website if thats the case.

Terrible place, basically only kids working there, ordered a chicken finger sub and a royal sub, they gave me two chicken finger subs with the mayo in large nasty globs instead of spread out on the roll.

2020-12-24Great place to stay. The only challenge is the location. Walking from BUF was a quest. Met it, made it! The cold, no shuttle Because of Covid.... 2020s excuse 2 B Lazy and not put 100% into anything....NO More! Get back to work and quit using a Trojan Horse as an excuse to charge more, provide less and a sense of entitlement to Citizens hard earned money!

2022-01-03People complaining that its tough to get in and out, only shows how popular this place is. The food has always been spot on, Ive tried many of the subs + Pizzas on the menu and they are always 5 stars. The pizza + sauce is one of my favorites. Staff A+ , Food A+ .

2020-06-12Sorely disappointed. Used to love Carbones pizza, but the quality and consistency is gone. I received a DISGUSTING pizza last week Tuesday, pictures below. The crust was so thin and under cooked everything came sliding off. I called and was told a manager would call me back. Over a week and a half later no call. I called again to speak to a manager and she rudely interrupts me to tell me the owner will have to pull the tag and call me back. Sorry Carbones, too late, you lost a good customer.

2021-12-28I have tried this place many times, as options are limited around the area. There is always some kind of issue, I’ve experienced soggy wings (even after asking for extra extra crispy), wrong pizza, and sub par service. We will just take the drive to another town for our pizzeria needs.

2021-08-06BABYSITTER NEEDED!! Dont waste your time ordering from here. The quality and service has gone down significantly. I just went to pick up my order from here and after waiting 15 minutes after my order was supposed to be done, I was finally waited on only to find out they never made my order because they didnt have my slip. Sure they offered me free food in a quicker turnaround time than before even though now it was even more busy. That wouldve been nice, but Im not taking chances with food poisoning or horrible food on top of horrible service. Sad to say the owner lives next door and I think he needs to keep a closer eye on his employees. Id rather give my money to a better establishment and so I did. I went to their competitor down the road and order from Townline Pizza. A much better pizzeria that Ive had very few problems with especially to that degree. Regardless of the convenience at any given time, Ill never go here again!!!
