CareMed Primary and Urgent Care PC in other cities:
I feel you should take the URGENT sign off your facility especially when a child walks in thats having trouble breathing....which can turn very bad quickly. They explained that there was only one Dr at that time and hes only taking appointments. The waiting room was empty. Plus theres a list of Drs by the door that work there...where were they?? Turns out my son legitimately needed asthma treatment which wouldve taking 10 mins to do. Luckily theres an actual urgent care not too far and we were immediately treated.Ive been to this office before and had the same issue of being told we cant be seen.... and another time when we were seen, received a bad attitude from one of the nurse practitioners. I go to this office because its very close to where I live and convenient. I probably wont go back to this office in the future. I usually dont write reviews but when it comes to a child getting no help, its a disgrace and I feel infuriated, frustrated and disgusted. I cant stress enough that the urgent should come off your building and just stay as a private practice.
I have been a patient for over 40 years and when Doctors Boskin, Rose and Cohen and then Collin joined later on, the care and office staff were excellent. Dr. Collin still is in practices here and while he was out on medical leave the office did have lots of issues as a result my prior review was quite negative but since then I would say that with 85% of the staff being new and far more efficient things have improved considerably. As far as payments not being accepted by check I was told that people themselves ruined that privilege, welcome to the 21 century. Dr. Collin is an excellent, caring doctor and will continue to use this practice .
I came in as an Urgent Care patient, new to the practice. I was taken into the room in a quick and timely manner. The front desk girls even helped me straighten out a problem I was having with my insurance. The provider was knowledgeable and explained everything to me in a way the I was able to understand and made me feel comfortable and taken care of. I even decided at the end of my visit to make this practice my Primary care.
DONT BOTHER. There is absolutely no reason to go here. The Nurses and Rx phone never gets picked up and you will never get a call back. You cannot be seen without an appointment, and you must be seen for every little Rx refill. I am currently stuck at work for emergency coverage for days without my blood pressure medicine. My calls to have an emergency supply called in to a local CVS was never returned and I cant get it refilled on the CVS app since they NEVER even answer the phone for CVS requests. Why would they?... Its their policy that you be seen for Rx fills after 90 days. You can get the same and faster service from the nearest GoHealth.
I visit this place once a month as I am getting older I get my physical every year and make sure I can be as healthy as I can be I like that one can feel the concern and help they offer I always will go there before anywhere else I dont think you will be disappointed they are very professional while keeping it casual
Doctor P. Collin sold practice to another group of MDs (He still is one of the DRs there) I find their new ways of Practice (hours- appointments- RX refills...etc) to be not satisfactory (not to me nor my elderly mother). Dr. Octavian G. Austriacu has left the practice (FYI) and there are new DRs on staff. * JUST AN FYI to All Previous Patients (prior to 2016)

2022-06-02I’ve looked at the reviews and have to say I’ve never had a bad experience at the front desk. Especially yesterday. I’ve never seen Tina at the desk before but hope that she stays. She was the best. She took care all of my needs efficiently and with kindness. I needed a Covid test and was given the runaround from a Northwell lab in Bayshore and they were willing to do it and send it to where it needed to go. She called me to let me know all was taken care of. I wish that I could always have that same experience everywhere!

2022-05-23Be specific of your pains and troubles for a proper diagnosis. Laura was wonderful. Waited alittle bit but nothing crazy. Good space to sit and relax til your called. Staff was knowledgeable and guests were seen accordingly.

2022-04-19Scam!!!!! They billed my insurance co $600 for an 8 min visit! They looked in my ear and sent a script to cvs (that took 4 hours to send) and billed $600! My regular physician would have charged $100! Scam!

2021-12-07I made an appointment for my son to be seen today. He is an asthmatic and was severally congested. I arrived on time for the appointment, we waited 30 minutes before we were called. Then we were put in a room, vitals were taken and then told the doctor would be in shortly. We opted to take a covid exam, there was some hesitancy by the office assistant Karen on my son being tested. We were only offer a rapid. We waited about 15 or so minutes, Karen came back in once and said the rest wants ready but again stated that the doctor would be in. Then about 10 to 15 minutes more and nothing.I stood in the hallway, watched people walk all around me, patients and staff, the staff never once asking if they could help me. I watched a patient who came in after leave as I was still standing there. What kind of customer service is this? All the while it sounded like the doctor was having a personal conversation in one of the other exam rooms. Over 20 minutes. The family I watched leave had two young children, I dont know if it was due to the childrens age or the child of the familys skin that they were seen and addressed promptly. Its disheartening to experience this kind of treatment. After being brushed by again by one of the office staff person, I asked Karen who was fastidiously working on not making eye contact, what my sons test result was. I received the response and told her and the other young lady that brushed by me three times that I was leaving. That they couldnt even a how can i help you after seeing me staffing in the middle of the fall.We wont be back again. Ill be reporting the visit to my insurance company as well. They can be compensated for the poor service of a rapid test only. Why oh why didnt I just go to City MD, where everyone is treated with the best customer service.

2022-01-26I really get disappointed of their service and who work on receptionist have zero knowledge of what customers want as service. If you called for refill they act like you are asking for their property and start play with you as put on hold and transfer one by one where nobody help or have knowledge. You have to go on their office every time you need refills. I’m going change my doctor as I’m not satisfied with their service. Won’t recommend anyone to go.

2022-03-22Terrible service. support stinks. doctors are so so. good place to get your cold treated, but not serious stuff. sent my wife for tests, 2 weeks solid. still waiting for phone calls back for direction. had to make our own appointments. wife is still in pain. no one has a clue there. and most are nasty when you call. left messages and emails. no return contact !! not the best way to stay in business. Update: Now this company is sending me bills from over 2 years ago...Good Luck !!!

2018-11-17I have been a patient there for a couple of years now and although there have been many changes, it has all been for the better. The staff is so helpful and kind. They go above and beyond to help you and make you feel at ease. The wait time isn’t too bad, the girls and doctors are all very sweet, and the office is undergoing renovations making it that much more appealing to the patients. I highly recommend this office to everyone.

2018-11-08The office is very clean in appearance. The staff there is awesomely nice especially a young woman by the name Arlene. She goes above and beyond to help out which is wonderful. As stated previously the staff is excellent, but I’ve had more encounters with Arlene. The doctors are also friendly. I am seen by Lauren M.- very nice young woman. My visits usually last about 30 minutes once I am being seen. The wait time is not much. Straight to the point and you go your merry way. Overall no complaints.

2017-08-20Since doctor Collins sold his medical practice it is very difficult to get a well worthwhile visit with the new doctors at the practice. The visits are very rush and no room to gather information regarding your prognosis from the doctor. On 8/17/17, I was experiencing light chest pain on and off during the course of the day. I arrived at the office signed in and the receptionist did not acknowledge my presence till about 10 minutes waiting in the waiting area. She stated the office was closed and she didnt know if Dr. Collins would see me. At no time while in the waiting area, did she let Dr. Collins know that I was experiencing light chest pain. She instructed me to come back to the office on 8/18/17, seriously someone with chest pain this is crazy. I went and look at the door the hours states Monday - Friday open until 6pm, went to the office 5:21pm. I am going to this medical facility more than 15 years, and I was treated very disrespectful because a receptionist should not turn a patient because she is doing all the thinking. I had to leave and find any urgent care facility to be evaluated to rule out any problems. This facility at 900 straight path is listed as urgent care facility. I will not be going back to this office ,will make the insurance company and the media know the poor treatment we are receiving at this facility.
