Whoever wrote the rest of these reviews are obviously the owner themselves, went here for a complete 2 months and morel or less 3K out of my pocket and within those 2 months, my car was never in a better place because every other day my car will crap out on me and the owner/mechanic would tell and makeup BS just to milk more money from me. Went to another mechanic and was told that all the problems that he was supposed to fix are still there, he just went in and bandaid the problems, no wonder problems wont go away. I am contemplating of taking this business in small claims court and report him to consumer affairs. Such a shame for someone whom we trusted because hes local. One of these days, karma will get him and bite him in the ass for cheating on people with their hard earned money.
Best mechanic on Long Island! Lou, Gus, and Christina are the nicest around, and explain everything so regular people can understand what is wrong. They always fix any problem I come in with. I highly recommend coming here!
Ive been going here for years. Prices have always been competitive and they are honest. They could have charged me for an alternator but they found the terminals were just corroded.They saved me big time.
This guy is number one cheat , rude guy i have ever come across , he just fix the leakage of the AC and charged for compressor replacement but not ready to answer any question, trying escape from the spot , on top of the labor and material cost , he charged additional amount as a tax but that was not mentioned on the invoice, if you ask the question about the issue, he simply turn away and ask us to speak with one lady sitting on the counter , so rude , such a bad experience i had at this place, never go to this place,
Wouldn’t recommend coming here at all! My 60 year old mother was discriminated and disrespected when she came in to ask about a tire repair. I don’t see how a business like this can be successful being racist to their customers and refusing them their service!? Not gonna get them anywhere promoting hate.
Great place to do business.These guys actually take thier time and are very affordable. The best part is they are very proud of thier work.

2022-03-20Hes my go to mechanic. Family owned and friendly as can be. I have never been disappointed with their service. They will give outstanding and personal service if they know you. Of course I am only one person; but these are actually a good group there are none better in my book.

2021-09-29I’ve been going to these guys since they were on old country road G&L Exxon in the late 90s. 6 cars in. Always treated fairly and good workmanship. I can rely on their work. Lou, Gus, and Christina are just excellent people to deal with.

2017-08-10I highly recommend Carle Place Automotive and have been bringing my vehicles here for the last 5 years. I have nothing but the highest regard for Lou, Gus and Christina. They are honest and ethical. They take the time to explain in detail the repairs that need to be done. I once took my car in with the intent of replacing all tires which, in my naïve estimation, were worn out. They assured me that there was still life in the tires and that I could easily push the existing tires for another 3-4 months. Speaks volumes of how customer focused they are!

2019-08-01I went three days here for State Inspection. Every times they said itll take two hours for State Inspection and Ive to keep the car or wait over there! First time I think may be they are busy with other works than went over in next day they said two hours and I was surprised and think again they may be busy too. In third day they said again two hours and I asked the guy two hours but he became angry and said me, everyday same question! He was whispering and walk away! Im driving for many years but never heard that state inspection takes two hours. I know they put a cable and check the engine and than give the report with a new sticker if the car pass the inspection.Another day I just change one of my tyre. I brought a new tyre and they just changed it. First the guy said the price will be $15.00. I said ok but when I was paying they said the price is $20.00!They may have there own customers and dont care about others. Its so worst. Im doing my inspection in other place and its finished when Im writing and posting this!Wishing good luck and good business.

2019-07-11These other reviews must be friends of theirs.Very grumpy and was told that I had an attitude.Called the previous day and was told we can handle that, bring it in. The following morning I was met by someone who wouldnt even visually inspect my issue before I left. I was then told my days of jumping under cars are over, I have to wait until I can put it on a lift. My truck is almost two feet off the ground already, Im not driving an Acura.They dont seem to enthused about their work. I will never use this shop and recommend that you dont either. I want someone who enjoys their job working on my vehicles.

2014-11-26Great people and great mechanics, I have been bringing my vehicles to them for about 4 years and they have been always right on the repairs provided to my cars. I recommend Carl place auto to everyone and its just because you cant get any better mechanics than them.

2018-05-12Used them twice and never again!! All I asked was to change my going flat tire for the spare. They offered for me to buy tires from them I said no, knowing I was going to Sears in the week. Instead of changing flat tire for spare, they put a patch on it, which lasted all of 25 minutes to, and I paid them a $20 for their trouble! I just went to Costco, asked a few guys to do it for me, and in 10 minutes, they were done, at 7:45 in the evening, Thanksgiving weekend!!
