Carlos was incredible!!!! I had them cater my party yesterday. They had forgotten the rolls at first, no big deal. The driver went and got them and returned within 20 minutes. I had a tray of meatballs that everyone was raving about. Also pasta and sausage and peppers. The food was incredible!!! The prices were very reasonable!!!! I would highly recommend Carlos to cater any party!! I will definitely be using their services for my next event!!!!
Started coming here after a terrible experience at another Middletown pizza place, begins with a B and ends a S a year or so ago and absolutely love this place. I order a pizza and garlic knots for my family every week and have never been disappointed. Owners and staff are very friendly and unlike other places it seems like they actually appreciate the business.
Ive been here a couple of times and had increasingly flavorful food. My first experience was the Balsamic Panini. It was tasty, but included a disappointing amount of veggies and meat. The bread is by far the best asset, singlehandedly making a mediocre panini something that was worthwhile. On another occasion, I tried the Chicken & Sausage Rigatoni with Broccoli Rabe. They were out of broccoli rabe, but easily substituted for spinach. The cappelini beans were a welcome addition and the olive oil garlic sauce was deliciously simple. This dish was one of the best Italian meals Ive had in a long time!The prices are a bit higher than going rate, averaging $1-$2 more than other pizzerias in the area. If you do venture out, I suggest the more reasonably priced lunch offerings that are still a good portion. The relaxed atmosphere coincides nicely with the modern decor. Finally, the service is somewhat mediocre due to an overall lack of attentiveness.This is a tasty lunch spot if youre in the area. I know Ill be coming here again!
Props to Carlos Pizza.Good pizza , sandwiches and dinners.Has a nice dining room with full bar.They have there own delivery driver but also use Grubhub & Doordash.Very busy but very professional too.One item was not complete on the delivery order. They took care of it immediately and I was on my way in 6 minutes.Thats how you do it 👏

Carlos is a very great pizza place, when we need food cause my parents forget to take something out for dinner or it gets to late to cook then we 99% of the time go here. You can get many types of pizza and pastas. I favor their penne alavolka (kid appropriate) and their pizza with the pasta on it. Very good, very friendly staff. 5/5 stars for sure
Messed up my order. I ordered 2 pasta dishes, one gluten free and one regular. They gave me both regular and failed to acknowledge that I asked for gluten free. Had to drive back to the restaurant to get my gluten free dish. Still not 100% convinced it was gluten free as there is no way to tell the difference in noodles. I don’t recommend eating here if you do have dietary restrictions. Chicken was also extremely dry.
This place is awesome! Their menu and food are amazing and their bar is both aesthetically pleasing and fully stocked. Their Moscow mules are phenomenal. Also, their bartenders are knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommend. Will return regularly

Exterior looks like Pizza restaurant but once you open the door you will be amazed at the atmosphere and extensive menu selection. Yes, they have pizza but the entrees are excellent . Staff is quality just like food.
I love their White Broccoli pizza. They chop the broccoli small so every bite is delicious. Only thing they dont use garlic on them like most places. But everything Ive eaten there has been fresh and delivered hot and tasty
Great food, family friendly, great price and excellent service. If you think they only sell pizza, you are wrong. My family ate a very delicious, slamming Grill salmon with vegetables. We also ate the vegetable panini, chicken finger with fries and cheese pizza. I give the restaurant a 10 star. Definitely will be taking my family there again.

The last few pizzas have been tasty but they keep burning the bottom. How hard is it to cook a pizza? Is no one watching? Do they just throw them in and never ever check them? They are forcing me to go back to Joeys pizza. SMH!!

This place is awesome!I order pizza, its cooked perfect no burns.I order dinner meals,its very good.They have big BBQ wings and very tasty.I only had a problem with them forgetting my bread a few times, so check your bag.
It’s a nice little place. They are flexible on what you can order. It’s very clean and the food was fantastic. Definitely worth a try! Bring the family. Also they have very large portions. I ate about half of mine and I was able to eat it for lunch the next day
I went with a large group the food was great nice large sizes. The only drawback was they took a long time to get our food. I believe I heard someone say they only had 1 cook. But other than that the waitresses were very nice and very helpful. I would recommend.
Much more than a pizzeria and bar. This place has a full Italian menu, and the food is good. We were there on Mothers Day, so the service wasnt really that good. The floor is a concern, too, as it appears to be marble and definitely had grease or oil on it. We will be back, though. Maybe they will have it a little more squared away next time.

Carlos has delicious food. He is very friendly to all his customers. He will chat with you ask you how everything is and if there is anything else he can do to make your dining experience great. He appreciates everything his customers tell him. I highly recommend Carlos for eating at or ordering out. All the meals we have had were great!!!
Have you ever wanted the experience of walking into someones living room while they were expecting a much more anticipated guest than you, then waiting for them to serve you food that was intended for their own childrens mouths?Walking into Carlos at 11:30 a.m. during the pandemic gave me that exact feeling.
Use to order from here all the time but the prices are starting to seem expensive and 3 times in a row now I have ordered delivery and I always ask for a side of ranch which they always seem to be able to charge me for but never seem able to remember to give it to me.
My husband and I dined at Carlos for the first time on 6/9/18. The menu has a good variety of things from which to choose and the prices are reasonable. Portion sizes are good and attention was paid to special requests, i.e., I ordered sauce on the side and whole wheat instead of regular pasta. The wait staff was attentive. The lighting seemed too bright and they dimmed the lights for us. It was a bit too loud/noisy, but we dealt with that.
Their dinners are delicious and reasonably priced. I love how a lot of menu options incorporate eggplant. They have a nice dining room and a dedicated bar. Their pizza is great and not greasy. Their drinks are tasty. I have had their raspberry jalapeño margarita and their mules. I cant wait to return to try a margarita with guava.
We started going here during this passed winter as we live close by so it was a quick dinner for us in the snow. The app sampler is pretty good, the wings are okay not the best not the worst I’ve ever had. We usually get chicken parm and it’s since gone down hill not sure if they changed suppliers but they give you two pieces one piece was almost always fatty the other was fine. The pasta was also either over cooked or undercooked and the sauce was sometimes watery.

Always liked Franks but always had to go crosstown for the best Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Well now I come to Carlos which is much more convenient for me and my family. The best thing is that the food is consistent and friendly staff. The bar is really nice also. Great place.
What a gem of a restaurant. Even better, it is just up the road from my home. My wife and I frequent this restaurant often. The absolute best Italian food and Pizza in the area plus a full bar in a really nice atmosphere. Carlos and the staff are as friendly as they come. If there were more than five stars to vote on, Carlos Italian Cucina & Bar is surely deserving of it.
Pizza smelled good but sauce was watery & lacked flavor. Pizza fell apart while I ate it. Definitely not interested in a return visit.
This place is ALWAYS consistent. Staff has great personality both delivery and in the restaurant. My family and I pray you stay open in this time of need. It might be slow some days and busy others but you guys run a a great restaurant!!!!

Food was great but ordering over the phone was difficult for pick up. Whoever answered was barely paying attention to what I was saying and never asked for my name or gave me a time for when food would be done. Could have just been a busy night.
Best Pizza place in middletown area! For a while there quality fell off and they had problems with there orders. Over the past few months they have got back to the Carlos we know and love. Have not orderd one bad meal from them and if I had any issues they were taken care of right away.
Great food, large portions. Nice place great atmosphere. The service is good and they have a nice bar area if you want to stop in for drinks.

Excellent place. Beautiful and clean inside, good menu selection, good pizza, full bar. They are great for take out or dinning in and they always seem to be well staffed.
Very disappointed!! Ordered garlic bread and it came with orange thick garlic spread that was horrible. Made bread soggy. Garlic was so thick Couldnt eat it. Husband ordered cheesesteak that had strings coming off the meat that looked like rubber bands that he almost choked on. We called Carlos back and they didnt want to fix it. They said bring food back and get your money back. Poor customer service.
Always great pizza, helpful staff, and friendly atmosphere. They have a variety of by the slice and extras up front. Kitchen is open and clean. Frequently visit for a quick and tasty bite.
Excellent food and wonderful staff!Ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Cavatelli and Broccoli, Baked Ziti, 3 slices of round pizza and a slice of Sicilian.Nothing but the best. Recently moved to Maryland and I truly miss the peeled, thin sliced, breaded then fried to perfection eggplant that is non existent at most places and truly in possible to find outside of New York. Same can be said for the Sicilian pizza just, in my opinion, how it should be. Thick crust yet light and slightly airy. The round pie has a thin crust but still, crispy on the bottom yet slightly chewy.I will make it over there every time I visit.
Bartenders forget about you.There are definitely better places to go to get good service and ok pizza.

One of my favorite pizza places around. Their chicken parm pie is the best around hands down! The location looks nice go sit and eat at with a full bar but I always get my food to go.
When this place first opened i attended the bar very often, like 4 times a week. Recently it has went downhill unfortunately and due to multiple factors, i am not going to be returning as often. I’ll be more then happy to write a 5 star review once things change.

Food this time was horrible. I gave this place a review about November-ish, but am ashamed to say ever since Mid December ( i attend the bar often but also order via take out more) the food went downhill and they missed up my order multiple times.

I ordered the Chicken Avocado Caprese Salad and it was delicious and plentiful. There was an abundance of mozzarella, avacado, breaded chicken, tomato and the balsamic glaze was delicious!

Got take out several times food was disappointing. Just ordered stuffed rigatoni and it was like glue. The vodka sauce tasted like it came from a jar. The Italian bread was not Italian more like a roll from the bread aisle. Very unfortunate.

2022-03-15Ive been going to Carlos since they opened for both dine in and take out. Pizza and entrees. Ive NEVER had a bad experience or meal. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Cesar is exceptional and always greets his customers with a smile. Looking forward to my next visit and seeing the remodel.

2022-06-18We order from here all the time. But the last few times it has been so inconsistent. When the pizza is cooked all the way it’s amazing. But sometimes we get the pizza and the cheese is white, the dough is soft and floppy and it’s not good. I also ordered zucchini sticks and they were cold and definitely not cooked all the way either. It’s disappointing bc the pizza could be amazing every single time if it was just cooked for a little bit longer.

2020-01-18I went here during a snow storm to grab a pie... to my surprise they also had a bar 🤗... I ordered my large cheese pizza pie and decided to try a chicken calzone... Both were delicious along with the garlic knots I ordered.. Im from NYC so my pizza expectations are high! This place did not disappoint....My true delight was my strawberry margarita that Megan, their new bartender made! She has a sweet, genuine demeanor that made my trip awesome! Thanks and Ill be back again 😃

2020-03-13I always enjoy ordering and eating here. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food, authentic and original. Havent had a bad meal as of yet. This is the go to for family friendly service. But the also have a bar if you just want to sit down and watch a game, or just talk. It has a bit of everything.
