Carom Cafe Billiards in Flushing
Ive been coming here for over 10 years. The quality of this place has tanked significantly. We saw holes in walls; paint chipping everywhere; ceiling leaks; garbage and empty bottles left on tables and floors; broken furniture and peeling seats. There was a bunch of renovation ceiling lights right next to our pool table. The pool table felt was disgustingly stained. Pool sticks were scattered, on the floor, some broken. I instantly regretted bringing my family here. It was under Korean management before, now the guy behind the counter spoke Spanish and barely understood. Absolutely will NOT be coming here ever again.
Great pool hall in Downtown Flushing. Awesome and friendly staff and owner! Spend an unhealthy amount of time shooting pool here and have nothing but good to say about this place. Discounted rates during weekdays and ($8 Mon - Fri 12pm - 7pm?) and free parking conveniently located next door.
The price changed to 17/hr from 15/hr since they reopened. Every other table is covered for social distancing reasons which is good, but I dont think they disinfect the cues or balls after use, nor do they require people to sanitize their hands. It still has the same professional player vibe as opposed to Prince which is more chill. I guess its up to preference
This place is great for hanging out with friends. I came to this place out of the multiple places with pool services because of its services. My friends at first glance saw it a bit sketchy quoting, what is this sketchy ass place. I couldve agreed but after returning to this place a couple times, I was fully satisfied with the services there. I highly recommend going here. Honestly I most recommended this place to my friend because theres table tennis. But its nice.
It used to be $8 an hour per table for pool but now theyve increased the price to $6 per person per table. And now theyve separated the hours from weekdays and weekends. It used to be cheaper than Prince Billiards (2 blocks away), but now its more expensive. The place is overall nice and just an average pool place but I think that some of their facilities need to be refurbished.
Great place to shoot pool during the day time! It gets way too crowded at night. This place offers a free parking garage but be mindful that it is very cramped in there. They have lots of regular billiards tables, snooker tables, and even poker tables. Very interesting place with food and drinks!
A testament to the saying, never judge a book by its cover. Only taking a star off because the outside looks dingy and uninviting. The inside isnt fabulous, but the place is pretty clean in my opinion, the tables are as well, and the price is amazing considering it looks run-down from the outside. Id suggest renovating the exterior to make it look less like an abandoned warehouse, but for $12 per table per hour (heck, manhattan billiards bars charge twice that price per person) thats pretty good.
Pretty fun place when it comes to pool and ping pong. Although they did get a weird payment system of $13 per 2 people and $2.00 per additional person (per hour) but it still turns out to be ~$4 per person per hour. The cloth on the tables are a little used but thats because this place is in such a location that its never empty. Its pretty lively. They havepool tables(standard)(25+),billiard tables(no pockets) (5+)and snooker(red balls/really long tables)(5+). Their Ping Pong tables (5) arent new but there isnt anything on it that would effect the game like a dent or a scratch. It is wheelchair accessible. Not a place I eat at but just to play and chill.
Great place with well-maintained tables but their description on Google of the venue being open 24/7 is entirely incorrect. They close at 3AM and the staff was much too eager to shove me out of the door when I arrived at 3:30 AM stopping there for a quick frame during a road trip our the way back home.
Love coming here, usually late a night because its particularly empty. They have pool, snooker and ping pong tables. A good food selection but the kitchen closes at 12am. (Get the fries). Bar drinks are a bit watered down not the best but it works. They also have billiard tournaments here every once in a while so if youre into that you can check it out. Only gripe with the place is that its a bit worn down but it works.
This is a quality pool hall with billards tables! Which is very different from other 8 ball kinds of games! They have camera to watch if people r following the rules. They will tell you not to drink if you r under 21 but they dont really adhear to it, probably to make $.
As a serious 50+ break snooker player, i appreciate this practice venue. Owner Michael reclothed the table every 2-3 year. when comparing with rest of NYC snooker place, tabless heights are taller than the norm. the cloth condition varies across the tables. The rails are slightly below average, speed of the table is above average. With little nap, table is reactive to the side spin. all tables are heated.
No straight house cues. If you dont bring your own pool stick, youll spend a lot of time looking for a straight stick. The worker behind the counter is as close to a mute as they come. You have to decypher what hes trying to tell you every single time. The food... oh boy. Ill be nice and say, make sure you eat before you get there or just say simply, DONT TRY IT!!
I have been coming to the Carom Cafe now since 2002. Im also one of the Directors for the USBA United States Billiards Association. I have since returning to the game played all over the country. The Carom has the best Billiards equipment in the United States. In all honesty the only thing lacking at the Carom is no breakfast menu and a very limited lunch and dinner menu.
They were racist, rude, and unprofessional. After traveling 2 hours to get there we had time for 2 games, and they preceded to tell us that they were closed. Meanwhile there were about 6 tables available and about 30 people still there playing pool. It was only 9pm and their information stated they closed at 3am.
Mu dad and I order a plate of fries then she gives me a whole plate of onion rings with the fries I dont say anything bc I think it comes with it free then she gives me a bill and they charged me with money for the the onion rings then I tell her I never ordered them then she says very rudly PAY FOR IT ALREADY then I pay then the entire next 4 hrs she trwtre me like a dog very hope u dont go threw this so I advise that u dont come here
☆ In Kerom Billiards, the late Lee Sang-cheon, the first World Cup winner in Korea, opened Kerom Cafe (billiard room and ancillary facility) near Main Street in Flushing, New York. It is a place where you can relax while enjoying food and drinks and a game of poker. Also, under the name of sang lee international, world-famous players (including Korean players) were invited to the tournament every year, and the tournament was held in memory of the late Lee Sang-chun. thinkingI think it is a place you must visit at least once.☆News from 2021..2021 USBA National Championship December 9 December 12, 2021 Successfully finished. The winner is P. PiedrabuenaPedro, who played as a PBA player in Seoul in 2020, took the title.Ill post a photo of the competition.
This is a very old and historic billiard in the Long Island area of Flashing, New York. It is a large ground floor with forty billiard tables and auxiliary tables and chairs next to each billiard. Here are two or three World Championships. The space is clean but they serve nothing. They charge $ 10 an hour. Unfortunately there is no parking space.

2022-02-28Calm ambience, very chill vibes. The prices arent extreme. Its a very nice place for birthday celebrations, or a simple night out with friends, or even a date. Ive been coming here for years, and I always have a good time. The food is pretty decent too!

2022-01-30They increased price over the years and nothing gets improved if not worse. They overcharge for drinks and barely has any liquor in it. Although place is quite spacious but it’s also dirty. Bathrooms and parking slots available.

2018-01-04Anytime me and my friends are looking for something to do and want to use up a but of time doing something fun we always head over here. They have so many pool tables you usually never have a problem finding an open table. just hope there isnt a tournament going on or finding a table will become a bit harder. Still they have great deals on certain days for cheaper table rentals and their alcohol selection isnt bad while also not pricey. Great place.
