I really like this place ! Great selection of cigars and the lounge is both comfortable and well vented. This place is also BYOB which I didnt know before hand and was pleasently surprised. The staff have also been very friendly on my visit...Edit.After visiting this lounge about 7 - 8 times during my 2 week stay in NYC, I can only remain with my initial review. Reading the other reviews starting at the lowest, I cannot at all relate to your bad experiences. The staff have all been very professional and nice. I bought the featured foursome one night only to discover that I had made a mistake because all the cigars were on the mild side and not at all to my liking. After smoking one the lady allowed me to exchange them for something else. I can honestly say that lounge will be one of the things I miss most from NYC.
Great lounge to enjoy a cigar in Manhattan. No alcohol served, but you can bring your own beer, whiskey ... the humidor is well-stocked with high-end and expensive cigars and more affordable puros. I had a Padron 1964 Anniversary and a Funtes Reserva Carlos, both perfectly preserved. Staff is very friendly even when youre not one of the many regulars.
They have a great selection of cigars. Not practicing social distancing though. I came in and the cashier coughed right in his hand. No sitting and smoking is allowed but you see the owners sitting on it here allowing special friends to sit and smoke. I gave it 5 stars because the average person will not find a better selection and since I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years, my opinion, though factual, will probably not matter.
One of the best cigar room. Crowded in general. Sometimes overcrowded. Cigar room is closed at this time but they are still open for business. They offer a decent selection of cigars. Very well humidified too. Prices are quite expensive if you compare with online sellers. But they do run some specials. Ask about it.
First time there it was excellent! Atmosphere was relaxed & inviting. My son ,his friend & myself grabbed a couple of comfy leather seats, we brought our own liquor, so we needed to buy 2 cigars per person to hang out and drink there, not a problem. The waitresses we Very attentive, supplying us with glasses & ice. A private party was going on in the rear room ,but we got there before most so we got a couple of chairs in the front. We drank ,smoked premium cigars, and just had a good time with my son & his friend. Well be going back in the near future. Also we tipped the waitress, so there where happy. The only con is there is only one bathroom ,so it can become a wait as it did get crowded as we left, but besides that 2 cigars per person is not unreasonable, but you will pay premium price, but its still worth it. A good way to spend an afternoon
For New York, prices are not bad. Selection is pretty good. Lounge is always busy so call ahead. Its BYOB but you can get table service and mixers. It isnt the Carnegie club but a great place to stop for a stick and if you plan ahead and bring a bottle, it can be a great evening.
Great vibe in this place. Dark colored walls and furniture definitely make it feel like a cigar lounge. The leather couches were extremely comfortable and the selection of cigars was large. The pricing was a little high, but thats to expect in Manhattan. BYOB if you purchase $20 or more worth of cigars which works out great since there is a liquor store right next door. $10 cutting fee for cigars not purchased there. Three cons were that the ventilation system could have been a little stronger, the smoke floated in the room for the whole two hours I was there. The TV wasnt the best quality, something was wrong where the picture was blurred and doubled, made it hard to watch the game. And lastly, there was no coffee, only espresso.
Better known as the Cigar Inn as it was when founded, this place has not transitioned well under corporate ownership. The air handling is atrocious and leaves the air dangerously smoky. Some staff have equally bad attitudes. This place is a great idea executed badly. They have allowed the attire and atmosphere to degrade to a level below that of cigar culture. All that being said, this is a popular place that continues to draw people. It is a good value, as it is a BYOB place. You can bring your own food. At one time, you could bring your own music. So it has its upside, but the downside will take a toll on the draw over time.
Ive been going to this location for more than 5 years and made many friends and continue to make friendships as well a networking. Great place to smoke a great cigar from they large collection and also watch sports and events on there big screen televisions. Seating areas are updated and comfortable. Id hope for only they installed more outlets for charging cell phones.lol great location and Amy and Ashley are amazing.
Visited today. Friendly staff. 1st time cigar buyer. Had an idea of what I wanted through pictures. They didnt have them but they were happy to show me what they have similar and what is recommended. Needs better ventilation so dont go in if you have asthma or something.. other than that top notch place..
Awesome place for a stogie. Very comfortable chairs. Good people. Ashley is very very nice and helpful. Ken is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to cigar recommendations. I would trust anything he recommends. I could talk to him for hours about cigars. Good place to go by yourself or with friends. Highly recommended!
A place Ive been meaning to get to and well worth the trip. Convenient location in Midtown East and fantastic staff ready to match you up with what you like and perhaps pushing you to try something different. Gentlemens club style abounds - big old comfy chairs, sports on the screens - lots of wood paneling - but not exclusively a mens domain as there were some ladies around. Great selection of cigars and good prices and they will bag them up for you too to take home. Be aware that there is no liquor license but it lots of people brought their own brandy, whiskey, bourbon. I will definitely be back.
I go here often to get my boyfriend cigars, I find that they are a little pricy but the finer cigars are worth it. Smells great and taste delicious! Great atmosphere and the man working behind the counter was nice, he let me go through a bunch of davidoff’s until I found the one!
Nice place, staff are really knowledgeable, can help you out if you are a beginner, good variety of cigars. It is also BYOB if you get 2 or more cigars per person, and there is a liqour store right next to the place. Would recommend, can get your work done or hang out with friends
First visit. Decent croud. Plenty of seating. Knowledgeable and gracious hostesses. Very good selection. Serves espresso and Americana but if you want coffee, byo. You can BYOB with a two cigar (per person) charge. Overall a pleasant experience I look forward to repeating
Always a great experience going there! Bass is an oustanding person, always offering you great cigars and working with you on prices. Their selection is always fresh and well stocked. Other than their other store on E.71st...you will not find a better place in the City!
While visiting NYC a friend took me to The Cigar Inn for an after dinner relaxing smoke. The experience was very pleasant and atmosphere was great. The staff was extremely accommodating and patrons were cordial. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Jason (master barber) who pointed out the barber shop and shoe shine facilities. I must say these are phenomenal amenities, that will keep me coming back whenever Im in the area. The only downside was its a popular spot so initial seating maybe a challenge. However, the experience far exceeds the downside. Thank you for the intro lil sis
Great spot to meet up some friends and hang out for a bit, watch whatever game is on the tv, sit back, relax and have a cigar or 3. The owner is great. The selection is great. The atmosphere is great. A fantastic experience all around. You cant buy drinks in there, but there is a liquor store right next door if you really feel the need to get a sccotch or something to go along with your cigars.
Came here yesterday for my friends kick-off birthday weekend and i had a blast! The space is big, television screens to watch the game and its BYOB on certain nights. usually when I have gone to cigar bars in NYC they have been very dark and/or small. This one was perfect. I will definitely go back!
For the past 3 years The Cigar Inn for me has truly been a great place to meet good people, a place for me to enjoy quality cigars & to have a great time. It is a warm & inviting place to come to after a long day thanks to Guss, Billy & Bazz (owners). Keep up the good work!
I first came here, nearly two years ago not knowing a thing about cigars. Billy took the time showed me everything I need to know about cigars, from how they are made, developing my pallet, maintaining my humidor, and what to look for when buying.Between Billy and his brothers Gus and Bass, you will not find a more knowledgeable or more helpful tobbocnist. The shop can get very crowded and noisy during the evening, especially when there is an event taking place, but regardless if you are white collar, blue collar or no collar, everyone its made to feel welcome and on the level..The humidor its well stocked and maintained. It may not be as huge of a selection as Cigars International, but its damn near close and you wont find a bad stick at all. If its in there, theyve smoked it, and like it. They also have a fine selection of accessories from lighters, cutters, humidors, and more.Bottom line, best cigar shop in NYC, period.
Holly and Amy are both very knowledgable! They had answers for every question our group had and were very accommodating! The loung is pretty large and between the TVs and the live entertainment you cant you wrong with this place! Large cigar selection and you can bring in your own drinks!
Best part of NY trip!! Loved it!! I would definitely go to this place again.. I went initially to Club Macanudo but was told I couldnt stay as I had dress shorts on.. It was 90 degrees in the evening!! I was then referred to Cigar Inn by friends.. I loved it!! Was a great place to enjoy a great smoke.. Cigar Inn is a BYOB place so feel free to bring something to drink.. Also, plenty of places locally that deliver food in so you are covered there as well.. There is a wine place next door so if you forget to bring something no worries.. The no label cigars were great as well.. As an avid Cigar Smoker and frequent visitor to my local Corona Cigar Bar in Orlando, FL, this place was like Home Away from Home!! Décor was excellent and staff was so professional. Best place to relax and enjoy a great cigar!! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!
I have traveled all around the World and always try to find a local smoke shop where I can hang out and shoot the breeze and relax. I do live very near NYC and I am in the city all the time with work.I have been going to Cigar inn since it was 1/3 of the size it is now and it is undoubtedly the best anywhere in terms of being unpretentious, comfortable and welcoming with a great selection of gars. I have been smoking their house blend recently and it is not only a great stick, but a great price. They also have the best of the best but regardless of whether you spend $8 or $800 you are treated as a valued customer.IMO skip the Club Macanudo - go to CI!!
Used to be a great place to hang out. Usually go with a group of guys (talking 1015) and some spirits. Always bring a few newbees, I cant tell you how many became aficionados. Most in the party will smoke 2 or 3 sticks (except the new comers) but the new 2 stick min. for all in the party just to drink, will definitely put and end to that. Mind you most of us are smoking sticks that range from 15 to 20 bucks. Weve since found other places to unwind.
My experience at the Cigar Inn, The first day that I came to the Cigar Inn was 6 years ago and I will never forget that day, when I walked it I didnt know much about cigars, and then Billy one of the owners, took me to the humidor and started explaining me about cigars and sold me my 1st box of Lot 23 Perdomo, I was very surprised by the knowledge Billy has with cigars, since then I have been coming to the Cigar Inn, Not only is the atmosphere amazing, but the people that you meet there is even better, it really is like a family. If you need a haircut, you can get it, if you need a hot shave, you can get it, if you need a massage, you can get it. In the mood for a steak? You can order it and one of the lovely girls of the Cigar Inn will bring it too you, In the mood for a cappuccino, they will gladly bring one too you. This Cigar Lounge is like no other lounge in New York, nor any lounge I have ever been too. Check it out for your self and you will become part of the Cigar Inn Family!
Youre paying NYC prices so the cigars are going to be $3-4 higher per stick than youd find just outside the city. Knowing this ahead of time its no issue. Its not well ventilated at all though, the smoke hangs thick in the air and you really cant go anywhere after because your clothes smell from head to toe.
This place The Cigar Inn is definitely something that you should be IN for. it’s an amazing outing, but in the same time its still feels like you being in your own home. with the customer service of the owners the 3 greatest brothers in NYC, and then the quality of the cigars, the house-blends, the space itself, the couches, the TVs, the music, the DJ from time to time, the parties every now and then, and most of all the environment, which is the people, great people, which is like one big family and welcomes everyone that walks in the door, the hostess that comes around for drinks and the ashtrays and the sharing of there smile, and what else? The barber/hair stylist Ermina where you can get a haircut or a shave with a straight edge “old-style” babe!! While smoking your cigar.......
One of my if not my favorite go to place to hang out in NYC every tax bracket all cultures all ages a melting pot of a good time . good selection of cigars convent location in east midtown if you like to smoke met great cool people or a celebrity once and a wile then Cigar inn is the place for you
A place to sit back relax by yourself or with your friends to sit drink eat watch current sports events talk business smoke cigars come often and chill meet new people see some familiar faces like CHEERS troubles are all the same you want to go where everybody knows your name lol!!!!
I will no longer come here. I gave the jewish guy a $50 bill, held my hand out to receive my change and he counted it and placed my money on the counter. You didnt have an issue taking my money, but now theres an issue putting my $38 in my hand? Ill take my $300 per month elsewhere.

2022-04-05WoW !! What a great Cigar lounge. Local place as most of the people coming in knew each other. Quality cigar section with plenty of cigars under $10.00. Comfortable leather couches and chairs. The Casa provides Ice and Glasses at no charge. Two stores down is a liquor store that sells airplane bottles. So you can sip a beverage with your smoke at a liquor store price.Clean and comfortable setting with attentive staff, quality people enjoying just like yourself. Just a great place to enjoy a Cigar without having to overpay for anything.

2022-07-10This place is a rip off…I bought three cigars in one day..I smoked one and went back a couple of weeks later to smoke another one and they charged me a $20 cutting fee to smoke a cigar that I bought there. I over paid for three cigars and then had to pay again tj smoke them…never buy cigars from this place

2022-01-02Great, relaxing environment. Very good cigar selection and accessories (lighters, cutters, etc.). The cigars are priced on a par with retail smoke shops. The accessories are priced to match Amazon. So the markups are very reasonable which you dont always get at cigar clubs in Manhattan.
