We live in Park Slope and have used Castle a few times to go to JFK and LGA. So far, weve had nothing but great experiences. The drivers have been on time, the cars have been clean, and the driving style has been safe and comfortable. The fares have also been totally reasonable - definitely cheaper than an Uber or Lyft.
Amazing service! Best price out there! Car was nice and clean. Disbatcher friendly and knowledgable. Driver was professional and navigated traffic with expert finess. We appreciated our drivers willingness to do what it took to get us to work with us to get us to the airport on time and in comfort.
Most drivers are more professional then the base. You get a 7 minute waiting time and get a cab to arrive in 47 minutes. I’m disable and shouldn’t or more can’t be standing for any long period of time. They issue is a constant one & you would think an account holder at the base can at least be treated as a regular coustomer.
Horrible horrible service. I am usually very pleased with this company but I called today for a cab like I usually do and they sent us a minivan which is not a problem, we decided to take advantage of it and put my sons baby stuff (I am pregnant) in the back. The cab driver was very rude and told us we have to pay more for using his space in the back of his car (cab ride was already $25). The same amount of stuff we would of put in a regular car. He said we either pay more or wait for another car to come. So not only did we not request this car but we were treated unfairly because of us having stuff with us. He called his manager and complained and they said if we dont pay more we can get out. When I called the homebase to speak to a manager they hung up on me. Very unprofessional. Treated me very unfairly. I will not use their car service anymore. Will recommend using the cab service up the block from castle called Contential from now on. The amount of money I spent on this cab base and they cant show no consideration or concern or even customer service. Be careful if they send you a van they are trying to rip you off.
Person working at 5:30 PM on June 5, 2020 might not be mentally stable to work his position. He continued to scream and yell because he doesnt speak enough english to understand me .. I am currently in another car from a different car service on my way to castle so i can personally see this person so that I may remember who he is . If he is. Ot removed of his position I will take it upon myself too file a formal complaint which will be followed by a visit from my attorney.
These drivers have a tendency to NOT WAIT FOR CUSTOMERS NOT EVEN A MINUTE. But expect us to wait for them more than the time they supposed to get to your location. Numerous times they made me and my family late for work. Most of these drivers don’t know where they’re supposed to go either. If I could rate the -0 I would’ve. This car service is GARBAGE!!!
Castle Car Service has lots of friendly well manored drivers although they may not always be exactly on time due to busy time frames and traffic in area, they do come! Im in love with the automated text telling me the make of my car and driver information! Their cars are always nicely air conditioned and kept very clean and ready for our use! Thank you castle you truly are the best in park slope!
I may give Castle a second chance if I have no other options. Several weeks ago I needed a car to get from Park Slope to Red Hook for a wedding. Since I had a lot going with me, I opted to stop at Castle and find out what their rates are rather than hop on public transportation. The dispatcher at Castle told me $8 to Red Hook. Done, I said!Then I asked about cards, as I had no cash, but the bodega on the corner has an ATM, so I could swing in there really quickly. The dispatcher told me they do take cards in the cars, but theres a $10 minimum. If I add a $2 tip to the $8 fee, is that fine for you? No problem... I was told.Well, the driver dropped me off, and when I handed him my card said, Sorry, no cards. I then informed him that I was told at the office that I could charge $8 on the card, with a $2 tip, and I would be fine. I dont take cards. You have to pay cash. Okay... Im standing at an event space on the water in Red Hook, there are no ATMs anywhere near by. I reiterated that the dispatcher said they take cards, at which point he finally picked up his phone to call back to the dispatcher.After a few minutes, I was told that the dispatcher wasnt answering, that I would just have to pay the $10 in cash. I told the guy (basically) if I had $10 in cash, I wouldve given it to you buy now. Finally he got someone on the phone, took my card and told the person on the other end my credit card information (not comfortable with that at all) and handed me back my card. I had to ask what the charge was and he told me $15 -- his explanation is theres a $5 card fee. I was over a barrel at that point, so I said fine and went about my day.Three days later the charge posted at $17, not $15. Thats nearly double what the ride should have been. Will I give Castle another chance? I cant say never, but it will take an impressive set of circumstances before I try them again.As information, on the way back I used Uber and my total came to $13. Sure, its only $4 less than Castle, but the driver was extremely nice and the service was amazingly simple to use.
Polite but had no idea where I needed to go. I kept giving him the address and he took me right past it. I kept telling him to stay to the right and instead he went right over the polanski bridge anyway. He didnt really understand english and that doesnt matter but he should be able to program his gps when Im giving him the address at least.
A friend walked in to Castle to take a car to 1st Ave and 38th St, Manhattan on 12/4/14. On the FDR, the driver was hit from behind, she was tossed around the car and in shock. She exited the car, the driver assisted me in hailing a taxi on the busy FDR, (in a rush for me to leave). After settling down, my friend realized she didnt have any information from the driver of either car. She and I called Castle Car Service office, they are refusing to give me any information, they told me call the police and hung up!Extremely poor service, no concern for the customers well being!
Marvelous . Good service .. I recommend it to my countrymen. Honduras in particular. Salvador, Nicaragua, etc. Not like the Progress restaurant .. which is located 53 street and forhaminton. I do not recommend it. Especially with the waitress who is at night she is very unfriendly .. better run her off because of her attitude .. Central American friend

2022-06-15Castel Car Service is by far the most dependable and professional car service in Brooklyn. The dispatchers are very courteous and helpful. I have been using Castel/Castillo for three years now. The drivers are extremely helpful and accommodating. All year round they provide great service. When going to the airports including White plains, JFK, LaGuardia, and all travel needs. The business is impeccable and I am grateful to have them. A trusted business for my family’s transportation needs. Very satisfied with their safe service.

2021-07-25The cans come fast most of the time but they all the drivers like to make up their own prices, so make sure you get the price from the base. Also lost my card in one cab from here and they charged $200, the fraud department got involved and Castle gave it back to me after I sho×d proof from the text they send youIf you need a can try others before this company. Use only when absolutely necessary

2022-05-31They texted me saying the color and make of the car that was supposed to pick me up and I guy in a silver car with dark tinted windows and with Delaware license plate showed up and asked me if I was getting in and I said no and I called them back to let them know and they sent the right car to pick me up and he was rude and I explained but its not like he cared its all about the money and not about the clients safety
