Only two ticket kiosks, one of which only sold 1 single ride at a time. The noise is deadening and the place is filthy.

Busy subway station at the corner of 110 street and Central Park North.Going downtown you can enter at 110 street (on the circle) or at 109 street [24 hour booth].Going uptown, you can only enter or exit via 109 street so sit in the last three cars of the train.

After reading very good reviews and also because we lived pretty close in our stay in new york we thought it was worth a visit and surely, it did not dissappoint us! What a station!

The station was renovated a few years ago. Its a busy station for a local stop with many riders transferring to the nearby bus lines.

One of the most well-decorated, brightest and cleanest MTA stations in the entire subway system. When you first approach the station entrances you are greeted by large-format video displays with rotating (in time, not physically) announcements, neighborhood area map, service status board for ALL trains, and others. There is even a picture of the Station Manager!. Very modern and informative. As you descend the stairs to the station lobby there are displays announcing the next arrival times of the trains that stop there, namely the B and C. The display will read out the letter of the train, the destination terminus, and how many minutes it will take for that train to arrive. These are usually very accurate, generally +/- 2 minutes. In the lobby is the 24 hour attendant booth, and several video screens including a graphical representation of BOTH the B and C lines entire routes. There is also a standard NYC subway map for plotting your route. There is not, however, an interactive trip plotter map as you might see in larger, higher volume stations like Grand Central-42nd St or 14th Street- Union Square. The complete B and C line graphic will enable you to get where youre going, though. And, if in doubt, you can always ask the attendants, who are invariably helpful, pleasant, and polite. The station is faced with cream colored tile and as I mentioned before, is very clean and tidy. Moving down to the platform level is accomplished, once again, by these stairs, which are very handy devices for climbing or descending to other levels. The tile work as decoration is very well done and deserves a minute or two to stop and admire. At the platform level, you will find two concrete platforms about 1000 feet long and 12 feet wide, edged with a yellow safety strip which has little bumps on it to tell you that you are standing too close to the edge. These pebbled surfaces are extremely important safety features, especially if you are visually-challenged (aka blind) because you can feel the uneven surface through your shoes! Very cool.All-in-all, a Wonderful NYC MTA Subway Station Experience, which merits a special trip for a look-see.

Both the B and C run here on weekdays pretty consistently. Unfortunately, very long waits on the weekends as only the C runs. You can transfer northbound or southbound at this station. Station also has an attendant as well as two ticketing machines.

They need to post Proper signs for subway schedule changes and they should make more announcement if there are any changes. Even though Local trains (D&C) were working this weekend, I waited 25mins for C-train. Within 25mins, C train was going in the express line.
