Tenured professors are lovely people, adjuncts are hit and miss, I had some great and some terrible. Mail ladies are nice people, some of the councilors are pretty nice. This is coming from someone who worked for a professor at Auburn campus. Its the President thats the problem, as well as many of the staff in administration. They do what they want regardless of what is actually good for the school. The new theater project is an unnecessary waste of money and forcing good teachers out of a job.

It’s a community college, and better than most. It has more than adequate programs for those going to a 4-year school afterward or into a trade. However, most don’t seem to make it through the programs or do so successfully, so while it may seem as if you have a lot of competition, you actually don’t in the end. However, there were some major issues with CCC when I was a student there: #1: They rented out their classrooms and studios to third parties, regardless of whether the room is used by students or not. This is particular troublesome for a working student who needs to use the art studio, only to find out that the only open studio hours have been pre-empted by some lame community crafting class that is in the process of ruining all the equipment and setting off the fire alarms, and no: those people will NOT share the room with you, and the administration will not help you, the student. Also, for some reason, they washed all the furniture in bleach, so you have make sure you don’t wear any nice clothes or lay your artwork directly on the tables. #2: I think the faculty does not understand non-traditional students or post-bacc students who may be taking a new career direction. I especially found the head of the early childhood program (if she is still there - it’s the woman who hasn’t had a haircut since 1972) relentlessly condescending, even to people who are otherwise her peers, or in some respects, her superiors, simply because they happen to be taking a class at the local community college. This tells you what the faculty actually thinks of their students in general and the people who attend CCC, even though in the grand scheme of things, they’re small potatoes in the world of academia themselves. But...if you want a good two-year foundation, avoid mixing with the slackers, and don’t take your instructors too seriously, you’ll do okay and for a good price, too. Just don’t go to any of the plays; they’re a confusing mix of vaudeville hamming , incongruent accents, and reaching without really grasping. At first, you may think it’s just theater of the absurd season after season, but it’s actually dead serious.

I went to the Auburn campus from 1998-2002. It was a great experience and I had many very awesome teachers. Great place for those of us who dont really know what we want to do. Highly recommend CCC.

The WORST CC experience EVER !!! screwed me out of 800.00 tuition for trying to drop just 2 classes ONLY 1 day late because/while my mom was DYING. took the time to write letter thoroughly explaining my situation but the president, durant took weeks to respond only to deny me any refund whatsoever; would not even offer me future credit. go to FLCC or any other CC instead !

Impossible to get in touch with anyone in the financial aid office. Been calling since Monday this week, it is now Friday. I even left multiple voice mails, as instructed, NOT one person returned my call. This is critical because by Monday they will drop my classes! Ive spoken to the registrar, and all they could say is theres nothing they could do!

I completed Psychology 101 at Cayuga Community College back in 2004. Now, as I continue my education, I am legally required to provide an official transcript to any and all present and future institutions at the cost of $10 per transcript (in a pdf format, no stamp or envelope cost). Alternatively, other schools like TC3 offer 1-2 free official transcripts before they begin charging you. Definitely think twice before attending CCC for anything less than a degree.Response: Actually, TC3 only charges for the third transcript. The first two are courtesy. I ordered my TC3 transcript three weeks ago. Whoever is writing for CCC should fact check before spreading falsehoods.

They have a trail out back for jogging, sometimes for cross country races. I enjoyed the Library, sometimes I used the computers to look at girls wearing pvc & latex outfits. Had a fun time with friends

Fulton campus is useless. You try to call to be sent in a phone loop to leave a message at the end. Dont expect a call back just show up. Seems the campus is so poorly run it should just close. Failure rate is at an all time high.

It is a joke right now. The teachers are barely engaged and tech support is lousy. Im so sorry I restarted my college career here, transferring right away!

CCC is a conveniently located community college. The professors are helpful and know their areas of expertise well. Im in my 4th semester now and Im very glad I chose to attend college here.
