Phenomenal customer service - specifically working with Paulette (designer) and Sebastian (store manager). Together, they both helped me re-furnish my new home. Strongly recommend working with Paulette from the design services department. Shes a very talented, creative designer who helped me figure everything out - bedroom, living room, dining, entryway. I quickly could tell she was a legit designer vs. other stores I tried working with (Design w/in Reach + Room and Board mainly). CB2s virtual room design tech also far exceeds that of other places - it includes 2D and 3D models so you can see how everything will look before moving in. Their tech/platform (to view the floorplan evolve into 2D and 3D furnished renders) is more advanced than their competitors.Couple the above with Sebastians great management of helping us figure out what can be shipped sooner vs. later, etc - they both took whats usually a very stressful experience and made it easy. I cant speak highly enough about how well the process went and how much they helped me.
Love the stuff at cb2. Went to the soho store to pick up an online order in my car (product is big and heavy), followed the email directions to text or call once arrived, but when I arrived, no one answered my text and there was nowhere to park while I waited. Had to drive around. Then tried calling the store and the woman who picked up sounded completely uninterested and also wasn’t very clear as to whether someone was going to bring out my product or if I needed to come into the store (which didn’t really make any sense given the size of the product). Anyway, the guys working outside were very nice and helpful and they ended up bringing my item out and putting in the trunk for me. Suggestion is that they should reserve 1-2 parking spots for online order pickup so customers don’t have to stress about traffic building up behind them or circling around the block several times.
I purchased the Odessa Table. Very High end and lovely in my house. The staff though are very kind and nice. I was just standing there until a staff popped up asking if I needed help. The ambiance of the space along with how you are treated there is an experience that someone fancy would definitely Fancy. I will be coming back for more accessories...Hugs to CB2 staff.
My experience was wonderful. The gentleman assisting me with my transactions and questions was Ruben. What a great person to have working at the Soho location. He is knowledgeable and absolutely lovely. My very brief interaction with the rest of the store team leads me to believe that theyre just as wonderful as Ruben. You must visit!!!
What a great experience. My girlfriend and i walked in and were helped out by Beau. Not only is their showroom clean and beautiful the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Beau spent so much time helping us with the look we were after and then added in a few odds and ends that made everything come together. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 11/10
The worst staff I’ve ever met. We discussed to buy some furniture. It was 6:50 pm and one of person from store came to us and disrespectful requested to leave the store because they are closed. I highly recommend you to learn all your staff a good and polite customer service. So disappointed.
Ive been a huge fan of this store for over a decade now. Its a beautiful store, with a very relaxed atmosphere, and great stuff. Everything Ive bought there has been wonderful. I especially love their go-kart desk. Their furniture is sturdy, well designed, and comfortable. I love their accessories, especially their pillows, barware, and art work. They have unique storage ideas as well. Service is always excellent and their sales people are very knowledgeable.
Back ordered an item online. Got an email saying that it was available for pick up. Got to the store and only half the order was there, was told the other half of the item would be available 6 weeks from today. Not a major problem as I quite liked the shade but the staff were rude as hell, especially Ann Marian. Perhaps I would’ve waited but I just wanted to get out of there with my money. It’s a shame, your products look nice and from what I’ve experienced are durable (hence you get two stars) but your staff in this store aren’t warm or helpful.
Not the experience that I expected. Knowing CB2 from their website, and having ordered a few items from it, I thought visiting a store may be in appropriate - items of interest were a reclining arm chair and a large area rug. I went on a weekend and was disappointed with the store, the service and the selection. The store is small, and packed full of items such that moving through the store was more like an exercise in the trapeze arts than shopping. There was an insufficient complement of staff members, thus the service was non-existent. The entire experience has created a negative perception of CB2.
Disappointed with customer service. We want to buy the Parker storage bed and called ahead of time to the soho location to ask if they have it on display. A women answered and put us on hold to check if they have it on display and she told us they do. We also confirmed with the website to make sure that it really is on display, and the site said it was. We planned child care, came all the way from NJ and after all, once we got to the store they told us they do not have the Parker bed frame on display and the designer will be in tomorrow to take it out of the box and set it up for display. Ugh- so upsetting! Coming from NJ and paying for childcare, and nobody even had the decency to apologize for the confusion. Because of this experience, we don’t even want to buy anything from CB2
AWFUL customer service - I called their customer service multiple times because they forgot to send the COI info to my building. Whats even worse is that they left my sofa at the warehouse on the day of delivery. I waited for a day and no one ever contacted me until I called their customer service and waited on the line for 1 hour.
Working with this company has been awful. The customer service reps are not just rude but mean. After a delivery mishap, they made no effort to deliver it in following days. When trying to reschedule a drop off time they would not call back. Reps lack any practical business sense and were quick to blame me rather than simply find a solution. Just poor business and I would say if you want your product actually shipped, find a different business
Large store with a good selection of furniture, however it is missing many of the newer pieces that are available on the website. The staff are inattentive and unhelpful. There were more staff than customers when I was in the store, yet no one offered me assistance the entire time.Would recommend shopping in the uptown store or online. Give this store a miss.
On this particular visit my partner and I wanted to add a set of bar stools to an order we placed earlier that afternoon. Of course we got the new girl who didnt know how to do that which is totally fine she was actually super helpful just not yet fully trained. It was the manager on duty that needs the feed back. The manager was helping her add the chairs to our order but had to keep stepping away at times to help other employees (according to him). Thats fine I understand. But he left us on 3 different occasions and it took well over 30 minutes to place the order. At one point I had to physically leave the register area and go track him down. He was just chit chatting with another employee about weekend plans. I finally got him to come over and finish the transaction. Im not sure Ill be visiting this store again and will probably order online.
This place does not stand behind their furniture, and they have a real attitude problem to go with their low quality garbage theyd like you to think is good quality at a reasonable price (it isnt). Dylan table -- looks decent, scratches way too easily. Chelsea outdoor bench -- looks good, but started rusting in under a year. Peekaboo acrylic table -- looked great at first, but its now scratched and full of swirl marks despite being well cared for. Low oat dresser, love the look and finish but the drawers are weighted too heavily to the front such that they dont stay closed. See the trend? Yes, their stuff looks good online, but dont expect it to last or function long term. Youll also want to be aware of their peculiar return policy. Youd think an online retailer of furniture would have an excellent return policy, but think again. CB2s return policy? They will provide you an appropriate refund. Guess who decides what appropriate means? My last purchase ever from this place was their club chair. Great looking design, but the lemongrass yellow fabric we got gets permanently stained if you even look at it the wrong way. For the first time I tried to return something to this place, and let me tell you, thats when you can really expect the condescending attitude to begin. I was talked down to as though Ive never owned a piece of furniture in my life and I must be an idiot to think you can get plain clean water on fabric and it wont permanently discolor the fabric (you read that right). I was informed of what they thought was an appropriate refund in my case, which included a significant restocking fee.
We bought some stuff for Labor Day sale(15%) including 4 plates, and since they were holding the plates back of the counter we asked the associate to put them in.Then he charged only 2 plates and forgot to put any plates in the paper bag and we had to come back all the way to CB2 the next day to get them.Plus the pillow cover we bought was damaged so we had to exchange that as well. Then the real problem started. The associate “JAVEY B”.I walked in with receipt in my hand and the first thing he said to me was “what are you doing” with a very rude tone.I explained situation and he charged 2 more plates and gave me 4 plates, and a new pillow cover.Everything seemed fine and he was being nice until I found out that he didn’t apply the Labor Day discount to the 2 platesAnd “returned” the pillow cover and charged for a new pillow cover without discount applied.I asked why none of the plates and pillow cover had discount applied and he said because I don’t have promo code. I didn’t know you needed to have promo code but luckily I had it in my email so asked him to apply. His attitude came back and was being mean again from this moment. Why would I come all the way here to pick up the plates they forgot to put in and exchange damaged product only to be charged more?Eventually a female associate came and helped to figure out.She was nice but forgot to apply the code to one of the product so I got less money back but I didn’t want to argue anymore so just left.It wasn’t my fault that they made a mistake and made me come back all the way back to the store. I don’t deserve to be treated like that, it wasn’t like I was asking for something I didn’t pay for. Very sad and disappointed.
Horrible location. No prices on half of the store and the associates are too busy speaking with their friends to assist customers. We bought glasses and they stacked them before wrapping. Once we got home (a few blocks away) half of the glasses were stuck together or shattered. Ridiculous.
Beautiful inexpensive furniture but waited forever for a sectional. If you need to speak to someone on the phone dont bother. They dont pick up during business hours. When I went to the store the staff ignored my complaint (clearly not their problem).Youre better off buying CB2 online, then you can avoid the bad customer service.
Beware of ordering any home furniture from CB2. Our sectional was ordered in early April, with an ETA of Mid June. They did not have it available till June 28th, at which point they delivered only half of the couch (yes half) - they rescheduled delivery of the missing piece for July 2 and then managed to once again bring the wrong half (the half I already have). All through this process, the store blames the warehouse and the warehouse refuses to talk to you. Truly disappointing experience from what isnt exactly a discount brand. Run dont walk if you are thinking of ordering here. I still do not have a complete couch..Update: now the ETA for the missing piece is end of July. Needless to say, I have asked for a full refund. Again, order here only if you dont mind waiting 3 months and getting half of your order
Awesome little shop with style. This is the more affordable and younger counterpart to Crate and Barrel. Great location in Soho next to Muji and Pearl River. Between the three, youd find what you need to stock up and decorate your apartment. Very city-like. Good prices too.
I used to love this location. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with a manager named Yusef. I wont be going back. Additionally most of the associates there dont seem well versed in customer satisfaction and come across as distracted / uninterested. Ive only worked with one individual Jonette (one out of probably 20 employees there) who gave exceptional service. Shes the only reason this gets a star from me.
CB2 is a happy place for me. I enjoy that its the funky modern spawn of Crate and Barrel. Everything here seems so much more alive for the modern home decorators. You cant help but to walk in here and be drawn to something. Ive never walked out of here empty handed. The quality of furniture and home accessories is great and the price is excellent which doesnt hurt. They also do some artist collaborations which is always nice.
The sales associate was being very rude on the phone and told me that i shouldn’t call CB2 to ask the delivery COI information. We have the furniture deliver today and no COI sent to the building yet even though it clearly says COI needed on my order confirmation and I have also called the day before to confirm with CB2 that they’ll send it. I understand things may go wrong in this busy world, but being very rude over the phone and tried to blame the customer isn’t a professional way to resolve issues.
I know this place is supposed to be a less-expensive version of C&B, but the furniture is still quite pricy! Much smaller than Crate & Barrel, but theres still a lot of fun home items to be found. They have a really great selection of pillows, and other knick knackeries that you never knew you needed.
Utterly useless. Two months ago, I made an order, only part of which ever arrived. Repeated attempts to get some form of customer service have failed, leaving me with half a product no alternative but to notify my credit card issuer of a fraudulent transaction. Use these guys at your peril. As one last plea to CB2, my order number is 133182560 - please do me a favour and help!
If you want something that is over 200 dollars here, prepare to pay a freight shipping fee or drive to cranberry new jersey to pick it up from there warehouse (its an hour away, with tolls!) They dont even carry smaller items in stock if they are over 200 dollars. Very, very disappointing!

2022-07-19Horrible customer service. Everytime I call regarding to my order inquiry. They always put me on hold first pretend they are checking and then hang up my call without calling me back. I love CB2 products but with sales associates like them, i wouldnt want to spend my money at the store!!!

2019-12-08Very broad selection of products to test everything before purchasing. From small Items like candles, cutlery and ornaments to couches and beds - this store has a lot.It could have been a bit bigger, but there’s enough space to browse around. A lot of the furniture is also made in the US.Staff is very friendly!

2020-01-21Great experience. Nice layout. Helpful staff members. Some decorative items including furniture seems a bit over my budget but the quality might seem to justify it.

2018-07-01Great example of the truly designer furniture. The best is when they make the floor samples sales. Rare but you can find super sales of 60% for the floor samples.

2022-04-04I used to work a block away. Once in a while I would bring my work whiskey down and into the store to shop around (it was not disguised, it would always be a water glass/heavy pour). Never did anyone question me. 5 stars for allowing it.

2019-10-08Great furniture but nothing in the store is actually for sale. Its more of a showroom. You can order the furniture and then it comes a couple weeks later.

2021-12-21Worst customer service ever. We called CB2 directly and we were told they were open until 9PM due to holiday hours so my wife and I drove about 2 hours to get there before 9PM to make sure we liked the item we saw online before purchasing it. We get to the store at 8:30 and they told us we can’t come in because holiday hours didn’t start yet. I am very disappointed in the service that this store had and would not recommend it to anyone we just wanted to walk in see one piece and go on with our night but they did not allow us and told us that the “special holiday” hours don’t start for another 2 days meanwhile headquarters told us that they will be open until 9PM and it is posted all over their website as well as on Google that they will be open until 9PM. I would not go to this store and management should look into why the employees are not letting customers in.

2021-10-24Poor customer service! They make you feel like they are doing you a favor by selling you their products. Good for them they have nice products, but if youre not buying a sofa, do yourself a favor and get what you like online.
