My boyfriend and I traveled to Cedar Lakes for four days and we had the best time. Every single detail was planned out from our arrival to our departure. The rooms are not only stunning but the beds are so comfortable and will want to make you sleep for days...You won’t want to though because then you will miss out on the most amazing curated meals. We were blown away by the food! The pastry chef, Becky was amazing and all of our meals were flavorful and tasteful. We personally loved the braised lamb with gnocchi. Along, with their seasonal cocktail list.Another highlight was the wonderful accommodating staff. They were welcoming, friendly and due to COVID times they took precautions very well. We felt safe and comfortable the entire trip. Our server Aiden was the man and we looked forward to seeing him each night. Chrissy was also very helpful every step of the way with planning adventures, massages or an intimate date night on the mountain. The property is stunning. Lisa + her sisters went above and beyond with every small detail. It’s gorgeous and they really care for their property, staff and guests! If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable, peaceful and quiet place to visit then Cedar Lakes is your spot.We had an amazing time and we can’t wait to go back during the summer season :)
Very picturesque resort with nice clean cottages, super friendly staff and the food is incredibly delicious! Special shout out to Anastasia who would run with ice and when I say run I mean she runs to deliver the best customer service! Also Chrissy, Kate and Amanda were always very pleasant along with the entire team!
One of the most Amazing Experiences I have witnessed and wedding which was more of a 2 day music festival. One of my Brothers(Close friend) married the love of his life there. Instantly when we got there man this estate is huge, but what made the experience so amazing was the staff themselves. Super attentive, helpful, amicable, accommodating, personable and were there for you to attend all of your needs. The cabins were so 🔥, spacious and just overall amazing. Beautiful views off the mountain top, hiking trail, lake, pools, food, drinks ect you name it. Definitely was an amazing experience there and beautiful venue for sure.
I had the chance to go to Cedar Lakes with my sister for Thanksgiving this year and it was the best trip ever. With COVID, we didnt want to go home to the West Coast, but still wanted to be together and do something fun and outdoors. Normally Cedar Lakes is just for weddings, events and retreats, but their Thanksgiving offering was AMAZING. We had the best time hiking, eating (the food is unreal), playing tennis, watching an insane amount of TV and just walking around the grounds. It felt like the elevated, mature and classy version of the summer camp that we went to for years in Tahoe as kids. Cannot recommend this place enough - the women who run it are amazing and they really go above and beyond to make everything right. Hopefully we can come back in the future!!
What a great time everyone had. The staff was amazing it was a cold weekend and they did everything to keep everyone comfortable for the wedding on top of the mountain. They handed out blankets and served warm drinks. The facilities were first class and the food was great. From the cocktail hour and the wedding reception were hosted in two different buildings next to each other. There was so much food and the drinks were perfect every time.
We had a most amazing time at your idyllic and peaceful retreat in the woods. The room, the food, the extra curricular activities were just what we needed to recharge our batteries. Our three nights in the Cabana were filled with rustic charm, warmth from our own wood burning fireplace and tranquility that only parents who have been raising children for twenty years could know. The very thoughtful gift of a bottle of champagne and a lovely note wishing us both a very Happy 50th Birthday was so appreciated. We would love to return to Cedar Lakes Estates in the near future.Thank you for a wonderful time!
What a beautiful and gorgeous property! We stayed at their 3 bedroom cottage and it was very charming and cozy. The grounds are very nice and clean, their customer service by far is the best I ever dealt with, their food variety and options to choose from is unbelievable. Very highly recommend and cant wait to go back there again. Thank you for your hospitality and great service.
We were at the estate for a wedding and couldn’t have been more impressed with the experience. The staff was friendly and professional and the owners accessible and happy to share their enthusiasm for their business. We loved every minute of the weekend which included hiking and exploring the grounds. The food was fabulous!
My wife and I just got back from staying in one of Cedar Lake cabins for a week long rental and had such an amazing time. Every day was so relaxing, whether it was reading a book by the lake, hiking, exploring the property, playing tennis or basketball, or swimming and canoeing in their beautiful lake everyday. They also surprised us with a mountain top bon fire and smores under the stars for our anniversary (we got married their last summer) which was really thoughtful. The food was amazing, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and everyone took every measure to follow appropriate safety measures. Highly recommend checking this place out for a cabin rental.
We were beyond thrilled with our stay at Cedar Lakes Estate. My husband and I got married here back in 2014 and the property, staff and facilities just keep getting better. We returned for a weekend away, and we didnt want to leave. From the fresh baked goods as a welcome basket, to the warm staff and gorgeous lodging, it was a perfect getaway. Crackling fire place, cozy room with the luxury touches, it was 5 stars and beyond! Thank you- we will be back!
My wife and I stayed at CLE for our anniversary and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. It had strong adult summer camp vibes without the awkward mandatory activities. We also brought our 5-month old golden retriever and the staff made her feel loved and right at home. With plenty of room to run around, our pup was in heaven and we were finally relaxed! The property is impressive but the staff are the real MVPs. Not sure how else to explain it...you could tell they loved working at CLE and just radiated positive vibes. There are several miles of hiking on the property and you never felt constrained or unsafe. If you choose any add-on, I would highly recommend the Mountaintop Experience. If you’re looking for a reasonably-priced getaway from the city, look no further - you found it!
Lovely staff, but very overpriced with no real amenities. We ended up leaving early, because we found that other than an overgrown hike, a pool and a few canoes it wasnt much more than a place to make a base camp, and to head off property to truly enjoy the Hudson Valley. The pros were if you have a food allergy they are wonderful at making accommodations to suit your needs, and the morning mountaintop yoga is really a nice treat.
We had an amazing romantic winter weekend at Cedar Lakes! The luxury cabins are newly finished and beautifully designed; we loved having our own kitchen and gas fireplace. The first snow of the season made it even more magical. The chef and staff are amazing and prepared a beautiful meal for us. If you can get a seat at one of their pop-up dinners over the winter, make a romantic weekend out of it! I can only imagine how beautiful weddings in the spring/summer/fall must be.
My son was married on the mountain top this past Saturday evening. A summer wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate is in a word, spectacular!!From the ceremony, with a rainbow, to the cocktail hour around the pool to the reception in the jaw dropping barn, to the after party in the treehouse, the ambiance was nothing short of gorgeous perfection!!! Our wedding was a magical dreamy moment in time...The planning, the cabins, the staff, and the food was 5 star!! Every detail was.glorious ! A special Thank youTo Faye and Renee Florists for creating a weekend of never ending beauty...and to the fantastic Dane Wright Band with Hank Lane for over the top, nonstop music and for our lovely bride and groom for sharing their love and happiness at this extraordinary Hudson River Valley Estate.
My boyfriend and I spent NYE weekend at Cedar Lakes Estate and had a wonderful time. The team had prepared an exciting, but relaxing weekend of events, including visiting local businesses that they had clearly fostered a relationship with. The food was EXCELLENT and there were so many thoughtful details throughout our 3-day stay. The team at the estate were also incredibly welcoming and kind and we felt like old friends by the time we left. We hope to be back soon!
The best wedding venue Ive ever been to, hands down. Grounds are beautiful, especially in the fall. I recommend the hike to High Point. Staff is extensive and carefully trained, always present to meet every possible need with a smile. Cabins are hipster chic, the main barn is beautiful, and ceremony spot on a hill top is gorgeous. Food presentation was fantastic, and taste was usually on-point as well.
You cant pick a better venue. Breathtaking. Our guests said they have never been to a better wedding or a more beautiful venue. The property including the lodging and grounds are phenomenal. The food truly farm to table and spectacular and the staff is professional, warm and friendly. They are extremely hard working and they made sure our guests felt at home. I wish we could do it all over again (and so do our guests!). Thank you everyone- Jill and Mitch
To be honest, we havent even gotten married here yet. The pandemic postponed our May 9th wedding to the next year. But our experience has already been so exceptional, I felt I had to write. We fell in love with the venue from the moment we saw it. But it was through the pop-up dinners that we really started to feel like we were starting to get to know the place. Couples who are thinking of getting married there, do it. Make a relationship with the team and the property, because they are both so special.By the time it was coming down to that wedding countdown, my husband and I had already stayed overnight a few times, brought our families to pop ups (note: the pro move here is to fast for the whole day before because the food is so delicious), and were only prevented from going to their christmas market (yes, you read correctly. And it looks stunning) by a flat tire. So we felt like we had bonded with the place and the people there. We did not even know.As May got closer and it became apparent that we had to postpone our wedding plans, the team at Cedar Lakes was amazing. They worked with us to find a new date in 2021 that felt safe. They were patient and understanding. They even offered to host us for our would- be wedding weekend as a little honoring of what had been planned. My fiancé and I kept our date in a tiny ceremony with our immediate family back home, but we drove out the next day to have our honeymoon...at our wedding venue. We could not have made a better decision. We feel like our time there was a transformational wedding gift. Opening the doors to the lakeside cabin festooned with flowers from our beloved photographer, Afrik Armando, and florist, Faye and Renee (who had already surprised us by coming up to MA and decorating the house for our covid wedding?!? But not only are they the most incredible human beings, google them. They are artists of the highest degree), dotted with candles, Rolling Stones radio (somehow they knew we met at a Rolling Stones night), set with prosecco, a lovingly stocked fridge (followed by meal after heavenly meal!), and even some cozy sweatshirts from our wedding planner (honestly, don’t know how we got so lucky in our people)...we felt we walked into a dream. And since then, each day brought some new fresh discovery on the property, a new aspect of the place to appreciate. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t gone, but there is so much to discover if you just give yourself the time to explore there. We have even changed around some of our plans that we had for the wedding to just allow our guests to have more free time to wander this beautiful place and appreciate it as we have.My husband and I both cant help feeling that perhaps we have come out all the better for the pandemic-postponement. You really get to see who people are when plans go off the rails. What we saw from Stephanie and Lisa and the rest of the CLE team was pure professionalism with humanity and kindness behind it. You are in the best hands with CLE. There are plenty of pro places with beautiful vistas and good food, but you won’t find a team like this who live and breathe generosity in their hearts. We are even more excited to share this with our family and friends next year, and we can’t wait to celebrate as many anniversaries as possible here ever after.
My husband and I got married at CLE on June 8 2019 and it was the most magical day (and weekend) of our lives and have been told the same from several guests - even married ones. From the time we booked CLE 1.5 years prior to our actual wedding date, Steph, Lisa, Jess, Marie, Danny, and the entire team made us feel SO special, welcomed, and celebrated. No question was too small for them to answer, I never felt that I was bothering them, and in fact, I looked forward to every phone call, email, and site visit because I just LOVED working with those ladies. They are so thoughtful with their approach to weddings and they are truly the best in the business. The team at CLE is creative, inspiring, fun, and most importantly - they are 1000% focused on YOU and what you want & need for your wedding. As an example, for my welcome party, I knew I wanted a Nashville themed menu to go with where I went to college. Lisa came up with the most amazing Nashville inspired menu that completely captured exactly what I wanted. If I had even the slightest change or worry - I put it in their hands and I knew that it would come out perfectly. Have the team there was like having 5-6 extra wedding planners who were the best in the game. The venue and the gorgeous surroundings speak for themselves, but to reiterate, it is the most stunning setting for any wedding you could ask for. There are SO many options for how you can lay out your special day (inside, outside, pavilion, poolside, mountaintop, lakeside, to name just a few ...) and if you have new ideas or thoughts the CLE team will make it happen, guaranteed. The food was better than any wedding food Ive ever had and on par with what youd get at an excellent farm to table restaurant in NYC. The accommodations are as gorgeous and comfortable as they look and each and every guest had an amazing time and experience on the grounds. The amount of best wedding ever - no exaggeration that we got from friends and family was unreal. That had everything to do with Cedar Lakes. I can truly say I wouldnt change one thing about my experience working with the team and the venue - I wish I could do it over and over again! My husband and I went back for valentines day this year and I have no doubt we will be back again and again to the most special place where we are always welcomed like old friends. We love you CLE !!!
Being the father of the bride a lot falls on your shoulders. Well lets just say that the staff makes your life a pleasure. When ever we needed anything it was on meet with a smile. The event was incredible. Every single guest said it was the BEST wedding they have ever attended. I wish we could do it all over again.
We booked a weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday and spent the most wonderful time at the Bluebird Cottage. Everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The Saturday pop up dinner was delicious and the staff was more than friendly and offered great service. 💙❤
Stayed in Sleepy Pine Cottages unit 5A. Interior decorations are beautifully done. The bed, sheets, and pillows are very comfortable. Easy walk to the central canteen and pavilion structures. Got to stay in an amazingly clean, cozy, and comfortable unit. On top of everything, we got to celebrate two of our dear friends. Only thing I would say, the shower door gave us a fright a few times because there is no stopper protecting the shower door from contacting the frame (glass on glass does not sound nice!)
With my fiancé being a city worker and me in healthcare we both just needed somewhere to just unwind after working constantly the last few months. I had been following Cedar lakes estate for a few months( It was our dream wedding venue) What we experienced at CLE was more than we could have ever hoped. It was truly a COVID staycation dream. From Tara greeting us when we first drove up to the socially distant (and extremely delicious ) food drop off, the service and care from each and every worker we came in contact with was amazing. Staff were constantly walking around asking if we needed anything and they were always quick with recommendations on what we should do on the property to where we should have dinner brought to really experience how magical CLE is at sunset. Bonfires every night set up at a few different spots on the property ended each day with a beautiful pink sky as the backdrop. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and safe at all times. I couldn’t recommend them more, especially during these times.
I spent NYE weekend up at Cedar Lakes Estate and it was a weekend to remember. Each experience was so memorable and special; from being greeted with welcome cocktails upon check-in, staying in the BEAUTIFUL and cozy cabin, the activities planned (movie night and mixology to name two), the DELICIOUS food (like...delicious.), the grounds itself, NYE evening (multi-course dinner and party in the ballroom)---I can go on. The staff was also amazing and were so friendly and helpful. I miss sitting by the fire wrapped in a blanket with my warm cocktail looking out on the beautiful property. I cant wait to come back next New Years Eve!!
From the moment we chose Cedar Lakes as our wedding venue we knew it was going to be a dream come true. From the minute we explored the grounds and met the wonderful team, we knew wed found our wedding venue. At Cedar Lakes, you feel like youve found your own paradise. You are surrounded by family, friends, nature, and its own ecosystem (despite weather apps saying rain, there was no rain in site on our day). Their attention to detail was perfect. The cabins gave everyone a beautiful place to call home for a weekend. We loved that we were able to give our guests a vacation of their own, from kayaking to jumping off the blob everyone was having so much fun. Also, you cannot beat the views. Getting married on the hilltop was so breathtaking; having a backdrop of nothing but nature and having birds chirping during your vows is something we will cherish forever. Lets talk about the reception…the barn came alive at night. All of the vendors that Cedar Lakes works with are all artists of their own and really showcase how much they care and love giving you the best day that you can. (After party in the tree house was the best “middle school” dance party that you never knew you wanted.) What makes it all worth it is having everyone together in one place for the weekend. As life gets crazier, there are fewer and fewer times when this happens, and Cedar Lakes makes this happen. And lets not forget the food. The amount of compliments we received about the food, weeks after the wedding was amazing. The food was phenomenal. We wanted more!!! We were so busy talking to everyone we never even got to have the homemade smores during our rehearsal dinner, but thats how it goes. Cedar Lakes has really established something special in Port Jervis. I grew up renting cabins with my family and going to month long sleep away camp and one thing I always loved was when the camp family was around to see how you were doing. You get that same welcome here at Cedar Lakes. Stephanie and her family are so welcoming and really make you feel at home for the entire weekend. We hope to come back soon whether its for a dinner or maybe even arrange a family reunion. Thank you a million times again. Love, Megan and Sam 5.26.2018
We attended a wedding here on Saturday night. It was an Exquisite venue. You went by Golf carts to the top of a mountain for the wedding ceremony then we took golf carts back to the pool for a cocktail hour with the hugest shrimp the size of your fist. Finally you were escourted to a barn that had crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling , a beautiful huge dance floor lots of space for elegantly set up tables. This was the nicest wedding Ive ever attended in my life.
I cant even begin to say what a great place this is. They were the most hospitable, customer service oriented place I have ever been to. I would go back here in a heartbeat and/or plan my wedding here. The venue is beautiful and the food was delicious!! We were sad to leave..
Went for a close friends wedding and had an unbelievable time. The grounds and ameneties were gourgeous and the surrounding environment was breathtaking. Staff was courteous and helpful. The sleepy pine cottages were modern and beautiful on the inside. My only regret is that with all the festivities around the wedding, i didnt have more time to simply walk the grounds and enjoy the nature that really makes this place shine!Definitely someplace i would recommend for any weddings, family reunions, or big multi-day events!
I only work there, but honestly if I could trade traditional pay for future payments towards my wedding there, I would. Its an amazing setting with great venue options. As someone who eats the food every week, I can say that its consistently fantastic. If you can afford it, dont even hesitate.
We had a fantastic and incredibly romantic time at Cedar Lakes Estate over Veterans weekend in 2017! We stayed in a little cottage, number #3, and it was massive inside, gorgeous decorated, and we loved our bathroom + shower, modern and spacious. We would absolutely return.
Its the most beautiful place to have a destination wedding. The sisters who run the facility pay meticulous attention to every little detail in the planning and execution of your wedding or event. The food is fantastic and the overnight accommodations for your guests are very tastefully decorated.
Spent the long weekend at Cedar Lakes Estate leading into the New Year and cannot get over the magic of this stunning landscape! I stayed with a group in the garden suites and they were as charming and homey as I thought them up in my dreams. The weekend was complete with some of the most delicious meals Ive ever had and an insanely fun and thoughtful schedule of events (despite the lack of snow activities due to Mother Nature). From yoga in the beautiful barn, to drunk bingo, mixology class, sugar house tour, brewery tour, and the coziest Canteen and Pavilion for games and cocktails all throughout-- it was truly a weekend to remember. Ntot to mention the finale NYE 6-course dinner-beverage pairing and party which could have been the most memorable, special, and delicious culinary experience i have had to date in my life, EVER. i will dream about that duck ravioli for all my years to come. The staff was one of the friendliest i have ever encountered EVER and I am already looking to book my next weekend back! it was truly MAGICAL in ever sense of the word! Thank you to the entire Cedar Lakes Estate team for closing out my 2018 in the most perfect way imaginable. xo Ill be back!
I went to the pop up dinner at Cedar Lakes Estate this past weekend and was absolutely WOWed. From the cozy dining room setup to the perfectly plated (and cooked) meals, I had quite an amazing night. I would recommend the pop up dinners and just about any event that CLE hosts.
I was a guest at a weekend wedding. Friday until Sunday afternoon. It was like summer camp for adults. Family run operation with precision, class and OCD like attention to detail. I cannot imagine what it takes to run a place like this and make it such an non-stop enjoyable experience, but the owners, and the staff they employ have created the recipe for success.
My husband and I would like to sing the praises of our wedding venue Cedar Lakes Estate. We are still riding high off the happiness of the event, and CLE was instrumental in helping us bring our wedding vision to life. All along, we wanted our wedding to be a celebration and an opportunity to bring our family and friends together. The summer camp layout of CLE provided the ideal backdrop for our family and friends to gather, whether to reunite, get to know one another better, or meet for the first time. Everyone came together over the daytime activities at CLE, including a zipline, lawn games, canoeing, and the infamous blob. A spirit of joy and community surrounded the entire weekend. The staff were all consummate professionals, and the Karvellas sisters were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Stephanie kept the lights on for us to tour the venue late one Tuesday evening, and we were instantly hooked. There is truly something magical about Cedar Lakes Estate. You can feel it right away, and it stays with you.Cedar Lakes Estate has a wide selection of options and recommendations for the wedding weekend in terms of format, food, drinks, and basic decor and entertainment options, and they were will to work with us to adapt their menus and itineraries and coordinated with our vendors to give us the custom experience we envisioned. The food was exceptional, and one of the dining highlights of the weekend was a custom cardamom-spiced fried chicken that Lisa created for our fusion menu blending the cuisines of India and the American South.Getting married was the greatest day of our lives!. If we could do it all over again, it would be at Cedar Lakes Estate, and I wouldnt change a thing :-)

2022-05-20I went here on a work retreat and what a magical place! Beautiful grounds that are just breathtaking and incredible food that is good and consistent every time. The staff works SO HARD. I do hope theyre paid a living wage because they really hustle. Loved staying here.My only critique would be that it is not wheelchair accessible at all, especially the entrance to the barn.

2022-05-05Weekend wedding full of events. Beautiful grounds and very nice party rooms. Although rustic, the wedding dinner was very nicely set. Food and service were top notch.

2022-07-04Horrible customer service. The two owners were extremely rude and disrespectful and treated us like absolute peasants. They used racial profiling because it’s a private establishment technically they legally are allowed to do that since it is private property. Never again, absolutely not.

2022-01-03This place is a hidden gem. The pictures they show doesnt do any justice. When you are there its very peaceful and quiet. When I was there it felt like time just stood still. The staff are out of this world they go above and beyond to make your stay nothing short of perfect. The food is excellent as well as the cocktails they serve. The property is layed out perfectly. There are alot of things to do whether its fishing on the lake or playing a boardgame or just chilling in front of one of the multiple fire pits they have on site. This place has something for everyone!

2021-09-09Cedar Lakes Estate was an incredible, one of a kind wedding destination venue that was unlike any location we have been to. Our company, DLE Event Group, provided entertainment here in August 2021 and was honestly blown away by the beautiful grounds, unique spaces, and the on-property individual cabins where guests stayed for most of the week leading up to the wedding. Very nice! The couple wanted a blend of DJ and Band and our Hybrid DJ Band did just that. That our favorite offering. The weather has was stunning and the people in attendance came to truly celebrate without holding back - we even had an after party! Might I add that the steak that the chef cooked during reception might have the most tastiest steak and sauce I have ever had in my life - I know a bold statement. Highly recommend this location to the destination couple looking to WOW their guests. Well done Cedar Lakes!

2020-12-16I planned a family trip to visit Cedar Lakes Estate for my moms 65th and the staff did a stellar job making sure we were taken care of. We had a fantastic stay.Gina did a terrific job coordinating and making sure I had a work station set up. I was most impressed when she informed me that the town was experiencing a power outage and gave me alternative options. This shows that the staff is truly professional and responsive to sudden changes, prioritizing the needs of the customer. I truly appreciated her honesty and transparency. If youre sensitive to noise, Id make sure to book a room thats standalone or paired with family members because the walls may be a tad bit thin for sleepy pine cottages. My sister and I happened to share a wall with small children and my parents with a dog, so for future stays, well take note and make sure to reserve the same cottage. If youre on the fence because its a bit pricey, I have to say, it certainly is worth it for how amazing the food is (I still dream of the salmon and chicken dinners we had during our stay), and how its the perfect restful retreat for the weary souls.I think everyone can say 2020 has been a tough year and my family and I are no exceptions. We really needed this retreat-like trip and I highly recommend it to anybody whos on the fence.
