Probably 3 years since Ive been there. Still the best pastrami sandwich north of NYC. Thanks to the Kniskern crew for still being there!!!🙂
Food was great. There was no waitress, so one of the guys behind the counter helped.

Pretty quiet when we went in for lunch. I had a BLT and an iced tea. My brother had a Ruben, careful here they asked corned beef or pastrami. The Ruben was good.
A tad pricey for some items. (Eg 2.95 for iced tea? McDs does it for $1. No Corp overhead here.) No feng shui to the dining room at all. But, Very good grilled cheese, very good desserts, and good rep from others Re sandwiches that prompted the visit They offer chips w sandwiches, which are overcooked (brown, not yellow), thick sliced potato chips. My grandmother uaed to make them and those were great. But when cold and brown, they taste of grease and char, unless you have a dull palette. They should just thow those in the garbage, because you shouldnt pair something with your great food that isnt on par with it. A nice deli pickle, potato salad, etc. would be better. Def do give them a try.
My husband and I were looking for a deli on columbus day not many were open....We were driving by and I said look its open...So we went in..My first impression was very friendly and clean the dining area had a good crowd of patrons....So I ordered a cornbeef reuben with sauerkraut and melted swiss cheese and my husband ordered a tuna....and we bought a pasta salad which let me tell you was absolutely amazing.....needless to say best reuben I have had in schy in a long time....the bread i believe was marble was also awesome.....We will def be going back....and hopefully the gentleman that waited on us..I cant remember his name but he talked bout one of my favorite bands ACDC was very accommodating and personable....😄😄😄.. .Thanks again.!!
Excellent corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. Well stuffed,moist, tasty and with the just the right amount of fat. Very friendly curb side service. 2 sandwiches for $16. Really good value. Closed on Sundays. Highly recommended!
Ordered a Roast beef sub it was terrible! No flavor all bread, no cheese, tomatoes sliced so thin you read a newspaper through them! So disappointed! This use to be a great place to grab lunch. Not anymore!
Ive eaten there twice. The food is phenomenal! Homemade soups, hardy wraps, delicious preparred salads and the freshest fried fish Ive ever eaten! Service is very fast and super friendly. Now one of my favorite spots. Give a try, youll love it!
Very good food with generous portions. Nothing over $10 on the menu. Nice theater memorabilia on the walls. Friendly and helpful staff lend a local feel. We had an excellent dinner at an excellent price! Would definitely eat here again!

My BFF and I had a light dinner here last week after shopping. Our waitress was Fran who is awesome as she was very friendly and informative in reference to the Deli. My BFF ordered warm corned beef on rye. I chose warm corned beef on rye with coleslaw on my sandwich. It was Friday and the place was packed. Even so, we did not have to wait too long for our order. Sandwiches are served with home made chips and a pickle. The sandwich was piled high and melted in my mouth. It was incredible. The meat was the best I have ever had and the coleslaw added just the right touch of sweetness. For dessert we shared raspberry cheese cake (yum) and I had a cup of coffee. I cant wait until my next visit.
I love Center Stage. I normally get warmed corned beef w/cole slaw on rye. I love it....best sandwich ever. I have eaten there several times and am always happy with my meal and the service. Take out is just as good.

Friendly staff, good haddock, good burger. Special props to the little things such as the fries, side salad, cleanliness, and oh my goodness, the apple crumb pie was to die for. Made me think of home.
Best food around Schenectady whether dining in our take-out. Homemade salads like mom makes, grilled sandwiches, dinners, desserts, and soups; this place has it all. Wonderful staff and cosy atmosphere.

The roast beef in my sandwich was dry. The potato salad did not have much flavor. What really turned me off was seeing the breaded fish, that looked to be raw, in the same cooler as the desserts.
Me and my girlfriend went here about a year ago for dinner. It was a great experience except for the hair in my onion soup. I called over the waitress and she immediately took it away and got me a new one and gave us desert on the house. Now if thats not great Service, i dont know what is. And being i work in the food industry as a cook, its normal to put out food wrong by mistake. To hope some business goes under over no mayo on a sandwhich is beyond me (response to on of the other reviews) in the end ,we were both satisfied and would love to go back again!
The pastrami reuben was amazing, as was the cream of mushroom soup! Will definitely be back soon!

2021-07-16We showed up at 630, they close at 7, we still got seated. Great start. Service was awesome thanks to Michela . I got a corned beef Reuben n well done fries. Reubens needed just a bit more meat n kraft. Was on lean side. But excellent. Fries were perfect. My son got theyre own Buffalo chicken mac n cheese n loved it. Said heat was spot on.The menu is keeping with the times but I really liked old one. Thats just me.

2021-10-08I was looking for a good NY cornbeef and pastrami sandwich on rye. What I got was toasted white bread with cornbeef and pastrami on the top and lettuce and tomato at the bottom ,we ask for Russian dressin and got mayo not what I call a good old NY sandwich.

2022-03-31The best grilled cheese in town. Today I ordered lunch for pick up and as soon as I hung up the phone - I got a late invite to a meeting. I had to go in on my work phone and everyone was so nice about it. I hate to be on the phone when I go into a business, and everybody was so understanding. Nice staff and great food, where can you go wrong? Thank you so much Center Stage!

2022-03-29*update - returned with a friend and enjoyed a Waitress Suggested Quesadilla with Chipotle sauce! Wow!!!!*. I started coming here for take out lunch when I began working from home. Today I enjoyed a sit down meal. I deliberately came today because they announced theyd be closed for tomorrows snow storm. I appreciate a local business protecting their workers!

2019-09-17Delicious homemade food. They source the deli meats locally and cook them in house to perfection. Make all the sides there too from scratch and are awesome. Fast service too. I ordered and 3 mins later...boom. here ya go.

2021-10-27This is the most welcoming restaurant/catering business I’ve ever been to! They worked with me and provided a stress less family event at their location for forty people. The food was top quality and delicious (ziti and meatballs, salads, roasted chicken, fresh breads, condiments). The space was neat, clean and roomy and everyone complimented me on my choice of venue! I am so thankful and I would recommend them to anyone! Also, they have a large menu selection to choose from! I felt the price was very reasonable too!
