Well what can I really say it has trains that come thre but do not walk around to far as this town is flooded with drugs. Especially by the laundry mat

Went here with my family, appetizers we had the Nachos with chicken and Wings, the nachos was large and in charge and wings were very good, the main courses the Food was tremendous, from burgers, chicken sandwiches, and I had the steak and we all took doggy bags home. If you like sports, TVs are everywhere. Love this place.
Small waiting room , rest room available just outside. Good for day time trips.parking is always full
They need to maintain, clean , do something about homeless in waiting areas ,safer handrails, camera s , lights, seats on platforms for, elderly , handicap, deer Park, Brentwood ,wayndanch,farmingdale,all have new ,,! ???? what happened to Central Islip, ????? LIRR,!
The station has been renovated and the waiting room is now a most reasonable shelter for train-waiting.
Its a railway station. Its not enclosed so you have to be outside in cold and inclement weather. There are nearby sundries to be had.

Not much for amenities but three is a large amount of parking spots.It is also kept fairly clean.

Nice way to get around and avoid the time in traff8c but the price keeps voing up but the same or worse conditions of comfort in traveling LIRR
They should take their time and fix up this train station the way they fixed up Deer Park because after hours is very cold and youre locked outside and when youre inside is smelly and stink
A place to call home,to raise your kids school,work or play,quiet and good policing..no police brutality,no real craziness goes on here..
Always a damn signal problem no parking in the lot and the fare is outrageous.

Central Islip train station has a small waiting area, have taxi cabs waiting at the station when trains rolling, but have no restrooms on-site.
Travel to school on the train is fun.

A busy rail hub for travelers. The population density in the Central Islip/Brentwood area is second only to Hempstead on Long Island. The rest room is regularly maintained and cleaned and the waiting room is a welcome shelter from the elements...while you wait for your train. The downside: there are no eating establishments within a short walking distance to dine or kill time while waiting for the next train. If you must, a ten minute walk will take you to Carleton Avenue where there is a McDonalds and a shopping plaza with a supermarket. Then you walk ten minutes back. For travelers who cannot walk very far, your option is the occasional taxicab, but Uber and Lyft drivers tend to use this rail station as a waiting area for their next fare.
Is small and have no restrooms.
There is no signs on the station on how or where to get the Suffolk county bus to go to the courthouse , and there is no news stand to get any food or refreshments anywhere.

2021-12-28In practice only goes to Manhattan. Free parking and fairly short travel time to Manhattan.

2018-11-25Clean station, well lit, relatively safe, however, the trains headed east or west arent usually on time. Might want to check the website the day of traveling since Ive found on numerous occasions that a train they list the night before has been completely changed to a new time 12 hours later. i.e. I checked at 10pm night prior, said train I looked at for the next day was 10:18 a.m. I get to the station and Im waiting around for the 10:18 a.m. train only to realize that all the trains have been pushed to the 47s of the hours, for the exception of the 10:47 a.m. train (which never showed up) and I then had to wait for the 11:47 a.m. train.

2019-10-12It is located in central Islip on Suffolk Ave. Free parking. However during the morning rush hours, you may need to go a bit early to find a spot closer. Usually it is pretty safe to park your car for a day if you choose to go to the city by LIRR. Most of the time, you can find a seat on the train.

2019-10-20Plenty of day time parking. Ive seen window glass throughout the parking lot so be wary where you park.Only 2 ticket machines available so make sure you have the app or arrive early enough to buy your ticket.

2019-03-10I prefer to use either Bayshore or ronkonkoma Im this area. But otherwise nothing fancy here, basic train station and very little commercial activity/stores on site. There are still be places for food, gas stations, etc closr by though and within a 5-15 minute walk depending on where you go.
