Miserable man who runs this place told me to hurry up and pick my wine. Not in the slightest bit helpful. So now another wine merchant with manners and an inkling of what customer service actually is will get my business instead a.k.a 67 Wine & Spirits
Ive bought from this store for the convenience given that I live a block away. But staff is ridiculously rude. Shouted at me for checking out a wine rating online on my phone! Rather support people who care about their customers, especially the regulars. Not surprised to see here that my experience is not unique.
Horrible customer service. The staff there is just so cranky and was not willing to help deciding which wine was better and was continuously giving attitude and to top it off was hesitating to receive credit card payment! Go to another liquorStore at all costs.
Spent $350 with my DEBIT card and the clerk decided that it was necessary for me to show my drivers license. He had the nerve to record my driver ID number. The customer before me (older Caucasian woman) used a credit card and the clerk did not ask to see her license. He explained it was because of charge backs,... He was insinuating I was going to rip them off. They were just rude, THEY WERE DISCRIMINATING. Disgusting, biased, prejudice nonsense. I thought the upper west side was better than this. Guess not.
People were helpful and I went in and I was out in 5 minutes after looking around. Cool place with two floors.

Great wine selection at this store, but the liquor selection is very small. The staff are friendly and helpful, though. Pricing is about average for NY, but this is a great convenient location.
I took a chilled Gavi out of the refrigerator and handed it to the man at the register. He scraped the price off, put the wine in a plastic bag, and handed it back to me. When I got home, I had an unchilled wine from New Zealand. Since I live a mile away, yes, thats annoying.
The owner doesn’t say much, but his wine recommendations rarely steer me wrong and this place has good selection.
For a liquor store so close to the park, they had a shockingly small selection of screw top whites and rosés. Also very overpriced.
Over priced for their small selection. Customer service is non-existent but they will rush you if you don’t know exactly what you came for.
Wine selection is great but bought a bottle of Limerick Lane Zin and it was corked, $40!
So I walk in right and I’m 21 with id and the dude still didn’t give me the alcohol I wanted

2022-05-02How disappointing! I walk over there in the chilly drizzle of the afternoon, in a rush to buy a bottle of wine, and the store is closed. It was 5:30pm on a Monday! As per Google maps its supposed to close at 9pm. So, the owner better update those hours here in GMaps.

2021-03-03Good service, open late compared to other shops in the area. Some people complain about the customer service. I think people are confusing being reserved, as lack of customer service. I personally prefer when people are not pushy, and only offer advice when asked. The older man who usually works there gives great recommendations!I do wish there was a larger selection, but its a small store, and they have all the basics covered.

2021-12-06I was literally kicked out while checking prices. The man, who I believe to be the owner, asked me what do I want to do? And said he has things to do and asked me to leave in a really rude way. Interesting.

2018-10-27Absolutely terrible negative energy at this store...Really upsetting and disappointing. The moment I walked in, the two employees started rushing me and ruined my experience of picking out wines in peace and enjoying that. Rude and disrespectful customer care and service. At the end of all this, the older man ringing me up was yelling and even threatening to not give me my purchase . I am shocked and this place should not even be open or in service. If you go here you will definitely receive terrible treatment and toxic mean vibes. Who goes into the wine and spirit business if they dont love people and making them happy, helping them make a selection, etc?? I wish I could leave zero stars.

2020-01-23Great curation of moderately priced Italian wines. The owner is laconic (doesnt say much) but after direct inquiry admitted to having been in the business for 40 years. Hours of operation are great! There are other good wine stores in the neighborhood but this is always open and its small scale and careful selection make it really easy to find an appropriate bottle of wine on any occasion.

2020-05-21This is a smaller wine store with a more reserved customer service. Meaning, the staff wont bother you one bit, but help is available if you ask. Its not true that theyre grumpy or miserable; in fact lately Ive gotten more hellos and have a nice days from this place than from the more popular stores around.Also, excellent covid procedures. You can actually walk into the store and pick and choose wine or liquor and walk out with it 2 minutes later, imagine that. No line, as usually there are only 2-3 other customers around. Also, its currently open until 8pm, thats 2 hours longer than the popular 67 west who is handling this pandemic poorly.

2021-11-30Beware of this place as they double charge! I purchased a bottle and the charge went through and instantly the owner said that they didn’t accept that payment and made me pay twice! A very awkward situation where the owner was determined that my first payment method didn’t work.

2019-05-22The older Asian man behind the counter should wear a Klan hood at work. He will judge you by your skin color. There is a better store 67 wine and spirits, and its literally 2 blocks south on Columbus ave. Larger selection, better prices, and decent human beings working there.
