I had an appointment for 2pm I thought it was for 2:30pm .Because I was an half hour late I had to wait for 2 hours. When I am early for this doctor I have to wait when I am late I have to wait. Above that his assistant is very unprofessional. She is extremely rude. I will be reporting my experience to the appropriate authorities. I will seek another endocrinologist.

2022-06-15Normally I dont take the time to write out full reviews, but this was hands down the worst experience Ive ever had with a medical professional so I felt like I had to.I was referred to Dr. Abuchaibe because I was dealing with some mysterious weight gain from a medication I was on and wanted to check to make sure there werent any underlying hormone-related reasons behind it, as I had never dealt with anything like this before.Firstly, he was 15 minutes late to the video appointment and when he logged on he was incredibly rude and didnt even make eye contact. Next he continuously interrupted me and wouldnt let me get more than a few words in at a time, saying I dont understand what the problem is, youre not overweight. Then he told me there was nothing he could do and didnt even recommend running any blood tests or doing any sort of physical exam. I tried to tell him that I had read some medical studies online about this issue and he brushed it off, saying Dont believe anything you read on Google. (Again, these were medical studies published in medical journals - not WebMD.)Lastly, he told me that if I want to lose weight I need to start eating 1,300 calories per day, which is absurd given that Im 57 and very active. But he didnt once ask me anything about my current lifestyle. All he said was exercise, eat healthy, and get enough sleep. I already do all of those things and have been for a long time.Needless to say, if you want a doctor with any sort of nuanced opinion who will actually listen to what you have to say, do not see this one.

2022-03-23I wish my insurance never changed. He was the BEST endo Ive ever seen, and Ive seen so many. He made managing my diabetes easy. When I was in financial trouble, he understood and wrote my scripts so I wouldnt have to refill them as often, and was just a pleasure to deal with. Ill never find another doctor like him again.

2022-08-20Worst consultation ever, terrible stubborn doctor with poor communication skills and expertise, refused to do anything about the side effects from my medications, dismissed all my concerns and just wanted to get the appointment over with.

2021-07-23Saw Dr Abuchaibe initially and he told me to come back for a blood test so he can examine my levels and make recommendations from there. I am told just to arrive without an appointment for this blood test. Not only did i wait over an hour to be seen by a nurse to get blood drawn because the Dr left no notes for the staff about what kind of blood test to do, I am then told Ill need to be here for 4 hours and will have blood taken periodically every hour for a glucose test. Youd think this fine detail wouldve been communicated to me so I could arrange my work schedule and mentally prepare for having 10+ vials of blood taken but no, doesnt seem to matter to Dr Abuchaibe. I am still not sure if that test was even meant for me or it was a mixup. I would not recommend.

2020-09-22You would think that any doctor works alongside their staff to work together to create a good experience for their patients but no, that is not the case in this office. Dr. Cesar Abuchaibe is quick to point the finger on others instead of taking ownership on behalf of the staff that is working for him. He has no people skills and told me “You can go ahead and cancel. I don’t care”. Worst doctor experience I have ever had. Customer service should always be your #1 priority despite the industry you are in and clearly he put no effort into learning that part of the business.

2022-01-13He suggested that I should kill myself. When I was appalled and said “damn I’m not paying for this”, he laughed and said “you already did, go ahead hang up and…” I didn’t hear the rest of the sentence because I hung up the mount sinai hosted Telehealth video chat. Mount sinai has not returned my phone calls or emails. Do not go to this creep!!!!

2020-06-02Everyone was nice and felt that my concerns were met. Not sure why people complained about the staff and front desk. I felt it was efficient and knowledgeable and during the pandemic my safety was cared for. Fingers crossed my condition will be addressed and I will fill better with time and care.

2019-08-12I have been going to MSHS for years now. They diagnosed Me with my condition and I eventually found Dr. Abuchaibe. This doctor is amazing. He understood my concerns and almost a year later I have understood my condition more and thanks to his treatment I am much healthier now. He was the only one who could answer my questions for my condition which he put me on a medication that had literally saved my life. Just think I was almost 200lbs being 5’2 and now 147 lbs all because he knew how to treat my condition that basically made me gain so much weight no mater what diet and exercise. I highly recommend him. These are the type doctors we need.

2019-08-10Im beyond impressed by Dr. Abuchaibes bedside manner. He is very intelligent and has serious interest in his patients well being. He isnt a cooker cutter doctor. He goes out of his way to make sure the patient understands the plan of action and makes it happen. He doesnt dilly dolly about and makes it clear that curing is his goal.HOWEVER, the staff is horrible. These girls are miserable. I cannot for the life of me understand why MD front desk females across the nation typically have this defect. Having said that do not let those miserable unhappy women stop you from getting a great MD who can possibly cure you.Dont forget that you are the patient & essentially the customer, who brings in the money that essentially pays them all! I wish those front desk girls understood that. Thats Mt. Sinais fault for not doing proper training during their orientations.Anywho if you seriously need an Endocrinologist this is the man to go to.Ps. He also speaks perfect Spanish.

2019-06-11Completely incompetent staff. Confirmed my appointment a week before then when I arrived they told me they cancelled the day before in a message that I never received and acted rude like it was my fault. If there is a site that gives this doctor above average reviews you should consider if they make money from him and trim the bad reviews because no doctor with an office this rude and incompetent is worth going to.
