Great food. Not correctly placed within its price point in google. This establishment is ‘$$$’ not ‘$’.The location itself is rather small but nicely done.Lately, Hub and I order food at least 3 times a week. Sometimes 4-5 (we love their food). BUT, It would be great if the owner wasn’t so hard on existing frequent customers...For the first time we had decided to ask for a small sauce on the side. One they serve with a particular appetizer.They said, it’ll be $2.00. What?! It’s not the fact that it’s $2.00. It’s the Principle...I am sure our frequent ordering will calm down as it has left a poor taste...Update 10/2019 we decided to dine in. Husband received partially uncooked chicken. It was brought to the servers attention. Did she offer a new plate? No. She offered to recook it. Did they offer to have it taken off the bill and or provide dessert as a gesture (as other restaurants do) if that wasn’t possible. No. Not at all. Not going back.
Love this place, and its actually owned by Thai people, not Chinese. The food is excellent and not oily/greasy.The lady who works in the front is awesome, and very funny. Definitely check this place out if you’re craving Thai.
Thai is my favorite cuisine. I ordered the Panang Curry with pork, spicy, to go. The sauce was fantastic but not spicy enough. The waiter was nice but didnt speak much English. The pork was dry but the green beans were perfectly crunchy.Yes, I have many criticisms, but I will be back b/c the sauce was great, the location is fabulous, and the price was right.
This food was TASTY! We were starving, and so happy to find a spot downtown without a super long wait (about 5Minutes!) We werent sure what to order, so the waiter helped. Everything we got was delicious. Highly recommend!

We ordered Pad Se Ew with chicken which was horrible. It tasted as if it was cooked in old oil leaving the noodles tasting like bad meat with a very bad after taste. We sent it back and requested the pad Thai with chicken which was even worse. The chicken tasted like old meat. Even my three year old niece was like it smells and refused to eat it. They didnt charge for the first entree, only the second.The only good thing here were the appetizers. Ordered the wings with chili sauce which was seasoned and cooked well. The Thai spring rolls and curry puffs were mediocre. Supposedly the curry puffs had chicken in it...didnt taste it at all. But it was done very well- flaky crust, very soft on the inside. Ordered edamame for the table which was good. The TomKa soup was way too salty I couldnt have it- guaranteed headache. Will not be returning.
Best Thai food around!!!! We used to visit at least once a week. Unfortunately we moved to Suffolk County now. Please open a new location in the Commack area. There are no good Thai restaurants around.
Three of us ordered three specials last night around 8PM: Mango duck, spicy pork belly with vegetables, two huge short ribs with a strong thai sauce (nice loose braised meat, not fatty). These were huge and satisfying, almost like home cooking. I will go back here time and again when I can. Very respectful and accomodating staff/owners.
I am giving 4 star because i do not think anyone did this on purpose and the rest of the food was pretty decent but the shrimps tasted like....like someone boiled them for 5 hours instead of 8-10 min😅😅😅😂the soup is good(tom kha with tofu)sauteed veggies are amazing.If you like spicy,order spicy spicy because medium spicy may not be enough for you.The person who takes orders is nicely trying to be helpful and accomodating

Best delivery in Long Beach. Get the mee krop with shrimp. Their Pad Thai is pretty spicy, so ask for it mild if you dont like a spicy meal. Ive never eaten in the restaurant, but the delivery service is great.
Fast friendly service with consistently good and authentic food. Always loved going here, however have recently moved to Suffolk county and there are no decent Thai restaurants here, please open another location in Commack!!

I wasnt impressed with the food or service here. We at their once during lunch time and we were the only customers. On a Saturday afternoon. Every business around us was packed. We should have seen this as a HUGE red flag. When the food came it was just meh. Weve had better street food than this. It was overpriced and a disappointment really. We wont be going there again.
Our family has been going to chaba for almost 10 years almost 1 to 2 times a week! Everything is delicious and the wait staff is pleasant and attentive. It is rare in this day in age to get great food and service consistently. Chaba has achieved this goal. Because this is a little small, you would almost miss it on US Route 1. Chaba is extremely reasonably priced and my daughter is upsessed and always brings he friends here, and my husband has loved it always. The wait staff has memorized what we want, so sometimes we dont even get a menu and we just sit down and they know exactly what we want. Our 3 top favorite meals are Phad Thai, Thai Chicken Roll, and Masaymon Curry. I hope you love it as much as our family does.
Very disappointed with food delivery. After an hour and a half wait, the food arrived cold & soggy. The Cha Ba Thai Restaurant although apologetic, did not care to take any action to rectify the situation.
Hi, My last chowdown @ Chaba was a DISAPPOINTMENT . On December 14, noontime, my partner and I went in for lunch. The restaurant was empty except for the two people behind the counter. We were greeted by a MAN who was the waiter during our previous lunches. That day, instead of greeting us sawasdee he told me THEY WOULD ONLY ACCEPT CASH PAYMENT. Stupid. He did not ask the others customers that came behind us because I saw them handing their plastics after they ate. I always pay cash and I am a generous tipper That waiter was RUDE and needs retraining. You dont need a liability in this kind of business, do you?

2022-01-13Food is inconsistent... Sometimes its very good and other times it arrives cold for delivery. Staff is always nice and when we order we just roll the dice and hope its 5-star good. If youre picking up it seems to be much more consistently good.

2021-06-20Stay awayThe worst - rudest staff ever, no accountability!it took 2 hours to get our food .When I called after over an hour with no food , the woman kept on lying ,saying that it’s on the way . When the grub hub delivery person finally showed up, I asked him what the hold up was - he was confused - he said the restaurant called him 15 min ago to let him know the food was finally ready for pick up. The food must have been just sitting at the restaurant. came cold and tasteless . No apology, no refund - nothing. They are the rudest

2021-06-08Good Thai food for very reasonable prices. Theyve got an ancient payment terminal, though, not set up for contactless payment, so its a bit gross in the pandemic… if they offer online payment, I would recommend that.

2020-08-14Avoid this restaurant. The food took 2.5 hours to reach my house, which Is a mile away from the restaurant. Noodles were hard and cold. Dumplings were also the same. Food simply not edible. They also sent all the wrong items too. Very rude staff. Just horrible food and service. Then they promised to refund me and did not. I am calling Citibank to alert them of their business practices. Watch out they will charge your card extra money and promise to refund and wouldn’t. Avoid this restaurant. What a scam joint.

2020-08-07I have been ordering in for the past six months from Chaba thanks to the coronavirus.I have to say that I wasnt disappointed once. The food is always of the highest quality and flavor, as a lover of everything spicy this is one of the only places the make me break a sweat.Highly recommended!

2021-08-07Staff was extremely rude, couldnt get order correct since they were approximately 15 away and wearing a mask.Been to Thailand and have consumed Thai food in numerous other States. The Pad Thai, hands down, was the worst I ever had. The ginger sauce for the whole red snapper barely tasted of ginger.Not even a thank you for an almost $50 bill.A must to AVOID,

2018-04-19Really good thai food. My favorite was the presentation of their plates. Very cute and exciting. Good and friendly service. I had the shrimp & pineapple fried rice and it did not disappoint. The size of the shrimp were beyond Jumbo! We also had Veggie dumplings for appetizers & my boyfriend had a Beef & vegetable dish. Would definitely go again!
