This relatively new spot has a great outdoor.and indoor setting. The menu is solid and drinks are great. The folks here are very friendly. Erin who heads the bar really knows her mixology and helps you pick the right drink. The cafe is awesome and love their desserts. My fav is the blood Orabge chocolate mousse! The truffle fries are addictive! The sliders were on point! The cottony is a drink that comes w a champagne cleanser which was pretty cool. The drink is very smooth so be careful. You will drink it fast..made with vodka , passion fruit and Saffron. The vesper martini was also 🔥🔥Definitely check then out. Next time Im sitting outside.
NEW IN TRIBECA. This ultra fancy, European inspired lounge appeared on the map very recently and not many people are aware that it exists. Now the interior setting is very nicely designed...very chic with a modern touch. The music they chose on my visit vibes very nicely with the overall decor to create an ambiance that makes the place very casual and cool yet still can be very fancy and intimate. Cozy booth-like seating located near the bar as well as tables near the entrance and rear with comfy chairs that can accommodate large parties. Full bar area with some very talented and beautiful female bartenders (say hello to Irene) that were trained by none other than Mr Jeremy Le Blanche (who is very well known for his viral cocktails at Thyme Bar).We got the booth right in front of the bar area with extremely comfortable seats. It felt like a VIP space and could probably fit approximately 4-6 people (two on each side and two facing the bar), giving each person enough room to eat and drink. The table was nicely set and the wait staff brought over the drink and dinner menus. If you like alcohol, then you will loved this place. The wine list on it own boasts a plethora of choices for red and white as well rosé, champagne and some beers. The main cocktail list I will review based upon the drinks we ordered.Cottony was probably the fanciest designed drink we ordered. It consists of Lesin vodka, vanilla, passionfruit, saffron and lime. There is a big piece of cotton candy that adorns the top of the glass and it is accompanied with a palate cleanser.Lush had a very interesting design. It consisted of El Silencio MezcalEspadin, Mr Black Coffee and topped with a cookie to balance out the taste. The coffee flavor was quite strong with this drink.Downy was tasty. It consisted of aperitivo, Spumante Prosecco, peach and rose. This is something that you could probably sip on all night.Airy contained grey goose vodka, tomato, saya, Worcestershire, black truffle and lemon. My guest liked this drink a lot.Shiruku was unique I felt. It contained Ume plum, Pimms, Cucumber, Lemon and London Essence ginger beer. The cucumber taste really helped to elevate this particular cocktail.Tangy was a last minute decision. The drink was very strong in my opinion as it contained cazadores blanco tequila, grand marnier, Oleo saccharum, lime and celery. The appetizers we chose were the:Lobster Roll - main lobster on brioche. Very tasty and good presentation.Lobster bisque - the creme sauce was tasty but it is recommended to eat this right away as it cools quicklyBread and butter - sounds simple but the Vermont butter they pair with the house made bread makes this a solid appetizer.Tuna tartare - elegantly plated raw tuna, spicy yuzu, ponzu cream, Granny Smith apple. This dish is good for sharingOysters - we got the 12 piece set which consisted of East Coast oysters and mignonette sauce. This was my second time ever eating any raw oysters and they were all delicious with the sauce.EntreesDuck a lOrange - I was intrigued by this dish. The duck was cooked very nicely. The orange sauce and Yukon mashed potato were a nice comboFilet Migon Au Poivre - This may have been the star entree of the evening! Cooked medium rare and season perfectly. I think we were all fighting to get the last piece. Highly recommended.Citrus infused Sea Bass - The lemon sauce that adorned this dish was quite good and the plating for the sea bass was very nice in my opinion.Slow Cooked Pork Belly - sabayon bacon and rosemary sauce really woke my taste buds. A must try.Tempura Cauliflower - this one surprised me. They fried each one very nicely in batter and the roasted pepper sriracha sauce as not bad at all.Dessert consisted of Mr LeBlanches very special Chocolate Wine to end the night. The service during my visit was very on point. Carlos stopped by when my main server was busy (forgot name).

2022-03-13This new Modern French Fine-dining restaurant is part of the same group that owns Patisserie Chanson and Thyme Bar. It features a beautiful decor and an elegant environment. One of the highlights is the cocktail selection - Cottony, for example, is served with Cotton Candy and Champagne Sorbet. The menu features dishes with fish, pork, meat, and the dessert selection is also neat. I just loved loved loved the chocolate mousse. This place is certainly a great spot for dinner and also brunch - Spring is around the corner and you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor decor.

2022-03-06Don’t miss out on the ‘messy’ triple chocolate croissant! It’s on the expensive side but worth a try at least once. Lovely decor and friendly service. Will be back for a proper meal next time!

2022-03-24My partner and I came here for an early lunch. I got a croque monsieur, which at the risk of being reductive, I would say is essentially a fancy cheese and ham (prosciutto) sandwich. It had a very generous amount of cheese, perhaps even too much cheese in the middle of the sandwich (if you can believe such a thing is possible) compared to the size of the bread, but Im sure for people who absolutely love cheese thats a plus. But overall it was quite delicious.I was mainly interested in the desserts here though, so we got three of them! Theyre so pretty, as you can see from my photo. Theres a nice display area for their desserts, so you can see what they all look like. Supposedly the manager said that all desserts are made fresh daily, which is good because they are not easy on the wallet, so they better not be old!The manager was probably telling the truth though, because all three desserts were delicious. The topmost one in my picture was essentially a fancy hazelnut cream puff. It was really good for what it was, but it did not stand out to me as much as the other two desserts. The eclair on the bottom left, I believe was a Yuzu-Lemon eclair. This was quite interesting - when you think of an eclair, you typically dont think of sour/tart flavors. But Yuzu and lemon are citrus flavors, and so they of course deliver that taste in this dessert. Im not sure everyone will enjoy the Yuzu eclair if they order it, but I definitely liked it since I love citrus - I found its flavor profile different yet very enjoyable. The last coffee mousse-looking dessert on the bottom right was the best. This dessert I think is not actually accurate to call a mousse - its more solid/substantial than a mousse, but Im not sure what the correct term for it would be. At the bottom of it there are two things of note: the first thing is a very thin layer of coffee flavored cakey stuff that is similar to the cakey part of tiramisu, and the second thing was a crisp and delicious chocolate cookie wafer. I liked the cookie wafer so much I inquired if they bought it or made it themselves, and unfortunately for me they make the cookie at the restaurant, so it is not purchaseable on its own. In actuality the cookie wafer is probably not going to be the standout for most people, but as a chocolate cookie wafer aficionado it stood out to me personally to really tie the dessert together, providing a solid/crunchy bottom of the dessert when compared to the softer other parts. An excellent finish to the trio of desserts we got.

2022-03-27Had a beautiful dinner there last night with my best friend. Cocktails are definitely well thought through, appetizers were fresh and unique ( we had tuna tartare and lobster bisque), entrees are great ( had sea bass and filet mignon). A small upscale spot in TriBeCa i would say, one must try their desserts

2022-04-17This place is a gem! Great food, great drinks. The chef did a fabulous job with the menu. Simple yet elegant. The prices are very reasonable by any standard but an absolute bargain for Manhattan. The pastry chef is fabulous, do not skip desert! Great wine selection that pairs easily with the food and is not over priced.

2022-03-24We came to this restaurant with high expectations - it was glowingly recommended to us from a friend. Fortunately, it did not disappoint. We had brunch here, and the salmon eggs benedict on a croissant I had was flawless - perfectly liquid oozing poached eggs and amazing hollandaise sauce were paired with smoked salmon all on a light and tasty croissant. Possibly the most satisfying Benedict brunch item Ive ever had; definitely the best in recent memory.Every restaurant should have good food though, so good food alone is not enough to get 5 stars. You can see my rating, and this place gets 5 stars from me because I think the inventive and standout cocktails are what make this place special. Ive included a picture of the cocktail menu for reference. While I think these drinks could use better names, they certainly deliver where it matters - taste and overall enjoyment of drinking. I got the Lush, Airy, #FF0000, and the Pellucid.I started with the Lush, whose name really doesnt seem to fit the drink. The Lush is actually a brilliant combination of Mezcal and chilled coffee. Its also sweeter than the ingredients list suggests - if youve ever had thai iced coffee with condensed milk, its kind of like that, but was not excessively sweet like most thai iced coffees are. Ive never encountered Mezcal and coffee in a cocktail before, but it makes sense if you think about it - smokiness from the Mezcal combines well with deep coffee flavor, and this thing smelled GREAT.The second drink I got was the Airy, again I think improperly named, because this was the weirdest Bloody Mary Ive ever had. I encourage you to read the ingredients listed in my picture, and once youve finished reading your mental thought will be Wow that sounds like a strange drink (it also has unlisted thai chili powder thrown in as well). I personally dont like bloody marys, but I ordered this out of morbid curiousity. I cant say I liked this cocktail, but I didnt dislike it either - again, I dont like bloody marys in general so I dont think this drink can be written off simply because it wasnt my thing. It was definitely a more interesting experience than most bloody marys, and if you are a bloody mary enthusiast Im sure its worth your time and money to give this one a shot, though it won’t change your mind about BMs if you already don’t like them. The third cocktail I had was the FF0000, which is a bitter-style cocktail. I quite like bitter cocktails, and this one tasted great, although it was the least unique of the four drinks I got. I dont have much to say about it, other than if you like bitter style cocktails, you will enjoy this one.The final drink I had, the Pellucid, and I almost skipped it because I had already had three drinks. But it was the middle of the day, I didnt have to drive, and so I threw caution to the wind and ordered it to finish my stay at Chanson De Salon. Boy am I glad I did, because the Pellucid is an absolutely phenomenal drink. If you look at its ingredients, its at its core a Gin & Tonic, but it’s got Aloe Vera, Elderflower, and although it’s not listed I’m certain there’s some kind of cucumber flavor or essence in it. Unfortunately it’s the middle of March as I’m writing this, but I’m certain that on a hot summer day, the mere act of breathing in the scent of this drink would cool you down and refresh you. It really does smell that good, and so if you like Gin and Tonics you really owe it to yourself to try this drink out. If you DON’T like Gin and Tonics, this could actually wind up changing your mind about them, I think. In summary, come here if you want great cocktails with your meal. I didn’t have enough food to confidently say that most food items on the menu are amazing, but if they are of the quality of my brunch salmon eggs benedict, you won’t be disappointed with the food either.

2022-04-20At first glance you would think that it is another restaurant with a balcony where you can take beautiful photos, but in reality it is much more than that, the service and the attention to detail in each service are exceptional, the explanations of the dishes and the wine list were very helpful Thank you very much Melissa for making my night something special, I look forward to coming back.

2021-12-08Big fan of their kouign amann (the standard is often better than the special ones), although at this new location the one I got needed a better sugar bake... Maybe just some kinks as they are new. I also got a Paris breast which is a little unfair to judge as I ate it later in the day and the choux pastry is going to suffer from not eating it sooner.

2022-06-21The environment is quiet and cozy, and the staff here are so nice and friendly!Came to enjoy a weekend afternoon with friends, still remember the wonderful taste of desserts and drinks…The chocolate blueberry puff is silky in the mouth, first is the refreshing and stimulating taste buds of the blueberry sauce with a moderately sweet and sour taste, then enjoy the delicate taste of the smooth puff, and the third layer is the crispy taste of the meringue... Good tea time memories with families and friends…
