2019-05-07Awesome family owned country store, my favorite place to stop in and I always walk away with something I love. Quality clothes, accessories, small appliances, shoes, gifts, back yard bbq and furniture; brothers Dave and Jim are super-helpful and knowledgeable. Services include knife sharpening. Located in the center of Katonah, do not miss this gem while browsing other stores.

2020-12-16Ordered a present for my sister in law from Charles Dept Store, and could not be happier with the experience.Easy to find what I needed (sold out so many places!), easy to place the order. I added a note that it was a gift and requested they not include the price, and almost immediately after I placed the order a real human being emailed me and asked if I needed any other services, since it was a gift.The order was shipped incredibly fast, and arrived today in perfect order (SO fast!)Just fantastic and such an easy experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.

2019-10-26There are not enough good things to say about this store. Family owned business for generations. Genuine personal customer service from folks who love what they do. I buy most of my mens clothes here and much of my houseware. Theres no point comparing prices with Amazon; I dont even bother. If you want to have great towns to walk then you should be keeping places like this alive by shopping there. Experience what really makes this country great and go here.

2019-04-04Went in today to repair or purchase a coffee machine , repairing the machine was a better option. Kelly not only explained everything to me but also took care of shipping and wrapping the machine to go for repair. Outstanding customer service. they took really good care of me , Thank you Charles dept store team.

2014-10-16Can anything be perfect? Can a store be perfect? Does it matter? Yes something can, and yes a store can, and yes it does matter. Charles is the perfect store. The people are wonderful, always helpful and always positive, but not in a manner that is false or forced. The layout of the store is great, organized, but not too much so. And the products….unsurpassed in selection and quality. I want everything in the store. Oh, yes, and once I purchased something and it fell apart a few years…yes YEARS later…they returned it to the merchant and replaced it with a better product that I still use to this day more than 10 years later. Can a store be perfect. Charles Department Store is proof that the answer is a resounding yes.
