Hi Id like to place an order for pickup*Click*What happened to you Cherry Valley Deli?Used to be a West Hempstead institution and I made a handful of friends through here and some wild stories about this deli. But if I cant place an order then why would I go here?Old friends here & i hope they return to their former business model.
One of those have to try places. Numerous options for snacks, meals and desserts. Abit above average price but with how fresh the food turns out and how delicious it can be it is worth the price. Very busy location so make sure to either order ahead or free up some time or maybe order delivery.
I spent $60 on four packages of meat and am still expected to purchase a bag to put my purchase in. I will not be shopping here again. All my favorite stores like Whole Foods provides a free bag for your groceries. Cherry Valley management this is uncivilized. Shame on you.
I come here at least one or two times a month. During the semester I was here every Tuesday. The specialty sandwiches are consistently to die for. Although, there was one time I got my sandwich and it was burned and almost inedible. I went back and they made me a new one. They’re always nice there.
Tried food from this spot 2 times. And never again. 1st time ordered a burger and fries. Soggy fries. Burger was slopy. Was disappointed 😞. 2nd time ordered Philly cheese steak and onion rings.Honestly was one of the worst sandwiches I ever had.The onion rings were soggy. And tasted like those cheap frozen ones. So a strong one star for them for sure. They need a new cook.
Cherry valley west Hempstead has really gone down over the years, you call an order, 30 minute wait time, and when you get there its still not ready, and when you ask them for the order they start making it on the spot and wait even longer, the boss must notice all these bad reviews and must improve their standards or hire better workers,
I CUSTOMIZED A BLT NEVER SAID I WANTED MAYO YET THE SANDWICH WAS LITERALLY DRENCHED ON BOTH SIDES WITH MAYO! I called TO SEE IF THEY COULD CREDIT ME FOR THE ERROR AND THE LADY EXPLAINED TO ME IM WRONG AND SHOULDVE SAID NO MAYO, WHEN ITS CLEARLY A BLT THAT DOESNT STATE IT HAS MAYO AS INGREDIENTS! SPENT 40$ 2 MAYO DRENCHED SANDWICHES WITH SOGGY FRIES! Will never EVER COME HERE AGAIN! And wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy ! Trrrible food terrible service! I honestly even hate doing this but they have left me no choice with overpriced and terrible food .. to top it off with a rude female worker who hangs up on you when you voice your frustration! ZERO STARS
Never disappoints!!! Super clean inside, good amount of tables and chairs also very clean, items well stocked and organized AND a huge variety of snacks and beverages!!! (had to grab a quarter water for nostalgia) Goes without saying but the heroes are off the hook!!! Got a Bushman and Last Call and both were made to perfection with delicious ingredients including perfectly toasted garlic bread, masterfully melted cheese and crispy chicken!!! Thanks Cherry Valley!!!
If youre looking for a local sandwich spot that could your entire family including extended, youve come to the right place. The plethora of sandwiches they offer is truly amazing. If youre just a person who likes to keep things by just ordering tuna salad on a roll, then youll find it here. However, if youre a more adventurous type and craving a hero loaded with chicken cutlet, waffles fries, bacon, and mozzarella then smothered in gravy, then youll find it here. Cherry Valley offers pretty much any combination of a sandwich you can think of. Most of the time there is usually not much of a wait, but if you come here late nigh on Friday or Saturday, be prepared to deal with the late night crowd coming from the bars. Personally, I recommend trying the Coyote or Corona as these two are my go-tos. If youre ever craving a sandwich with imagination, then come to Cherry Valley.
The bread on my turkey sandwich was fantastic but that was it. I thought this was more of a restaurant but its more like a convenient store with a sandwich shop. The floor was pretty dirty and the entire place just seemed like it was not clean which is not appetizing. Because of these things I can not return.
Excellent delicatessen.. Tried it out for the first time today.. From the staffing to the finished product, they deserve a perfect score.. I guess there are known for their sandwiches WHICH I happened to try a chicken cutlet hero.. It was one of the best I ever had...Definitely gained a customer today.
The place isnt really well organized, and if your a first-timer you may not really know what is going on, so there are a few minus points for that. But the people are great and really friendly, which will keep you feeling comfortable. This is great because it will buffer the wait youll have to endure in order to get one of the best tasting sandwiches that youve ever had! Seriously, try their Wrangler, its extremely good.
After working a very hard day, missed lunch so I went there to order a pizza burger with fries. Arrived at home fo discover the fries were not cooked all the way through and the burger resemble a hockey puck covered with lots of cheese and sauce. What a waste of time and money.
Literally the worst sandwich I have ever had! Asked for salami and pepperoni on a hero sliced thin. The salami is cut so thick its disgusting. And I have 2 slices of pepperoni on the entire sandwich. And you had the nerve to charge over $15!!! Dont go here unless you want to waste your money. Trust me.
Sandwiches is what you come here for. Food wise, its pretty good. The service is mediocre as the cashier did not even acknowledge me despite ordering first, cashier decided to help a group of late night party people and forgot about my order, it was sitting on the side and i had to speak up to get my sandwich. If they were a bit more service oriented my rating would of went up. The area were sandwiches are made should be more clear instead of having the large cold cut cooler blocking everything.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. There are about 100 heroes/rolls to choose from. So many options and they are all great. Its worth the money and its affordable. The employees are quick, friendly. Usually in and out and if not there are tables inside. Love the street food atmosphere inside.
Im changing my 5 star to a one star review, Ive been coming here over 4 years and this place was fantastic. Sadly now it seems that covid has changed his place for the worst. No longer 24 hours. I usually call ahead my order but I guess you have to be really lucky for them to answer the phone. The girl Who was night manager for the last couple of years doesnt seem to work here anymore, which is a shame. She never got a single order wrong and she was always very friendly.
Been going to the deli since I was in high school, im now in my 30s. I dont know what happened over the years but customer service has gotten DISGUSTING. Prices frequently change everytime I come in, and I usually get the same breakfast order every time. Then if you inquire about the price changing, they get an attitude & will purposely look to start problems with you, especially the Jamaican guy. The food & prices are DEFINETLY not worth the disrespect. NEVER AGAIN.
Im a frequent visitor to Cherry Valley. Both to this location, and to the location in College Point, Queens. This is hands down, the best deli out there today in the Long Island area. They have a VAST line of sandwiches. Absolutely something for everyone. Im never at this place where there isnt a line, and parking is available. Well worth the wait.
This place used to be one of my favorite places and Im not going to say I dont like it because the breakfast is on point and their chicken salad is amazing but as of lately theyve been messing up the orders theyre more concerned with Uber eats than anything but all customers should be treated equally
Very unprofessional crew , took 30 mins to hand me an order that had been ready for almost 30 minutes. Lack of personnel, only one person at the register, who has no idea of what she was doing. No safety protocol in the store , more than 30+ people in the store at once. Wouldn’t go there , do not recommend at all ! & after Eveything they didn’t even apologize !
This was the1st time ive ever been here. Oddly Ive been passing it for YEARS as it is right next to The Dollar Tree and SaverS Thrift Store, 2 stores im obsessed w going 2. My friend told our Uber Driver they had really good food especially Hot Italian Heros so when we finished shopping we HAD to come here (I was then craving a Chicken Parmagiana Hero). My friend was 100% correct (and Im VERY PICKY W Chicken Cutlets. They cannot be thick whatsoever!!) Not only was the Chicken Parmigiana Hero AMAZINGLY GOOD (this Is a Delicious with 3 tables N chairs) but they played the BEST MUSIC EVER (in my opinion!! I LOVE Emo/Rock/Hardcore Music and I barely know many people who listen to the same Bands I LOVE let alone this cute Deli or Store of any kind). The food was AMAZING, Store is Spotless w a LARGE VARIETY of Everything including there extensive Menu, the prices were GREAT, plus they deliver, and the MUSIC just tipped it all off!! OK, this is my Favorite Deli and I will DEFINALEY be going there ALOT now as well as recommending N bragging about it to EVERYONE!! Service was GREAT, food was ready quickly and I give it10 STARS (not 5, but 10 STARS!!).. OH, AND.. Im in Love with Fanta Soda (Because it isnt coke or Pepsi but its Fruity flavors. Some of the flavors Ive only seen in White Castle but NEVER even in the Supermarket!!) THEY also had ALOT of FLAVORS so they DEFINATLEY get10 STARS.. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK and NEVER CHANGE THE MUSIC STYLE YOU GUYS PLAY!! Everything put together made me a Customer for Life.. See you very soon!!
I started patronizing Cherry Valley since transferring to the Hempstead Station at night 2 months ago. For a deli, this place is amazing. Food quality is always good and employees are always nice. I love their sandwiches and they have some of the best tasting bagels in the area (better than A &S) up the street. I live in Rosedale and will drive there as I did Christmas day to pick up breakfast for my family and it was well worth it.
Ian very disappointed Ordered my food the Spanish guy with the hat backwards who took my order clearly didn’t pay attention and forgot to give my order to the back. It was like he wasn’t fully there. The order was wrong, the food was cold and It took 30 minutes. Terrible I want my money back.
This place fell off! used to have fresh chicken cutlets and super soft bread, not its FROZEN chicken cutlets bought in a box from a delivery truck and stale ass 2 day old bread, they try to toast so dont realize! the worst $10 i spent in a long time, never again ... way to many other good places to eat within walking distance ... choose wisely
Great food. I dislike that they bill you differently every time and do not disclose that they will arbitrarily place a SC SurCharge on your receipt when paying with a debit or credit card. I say arbitrarily because i do have receipts paid with debit/credit that Does Not Have that SurCharge on the bill. Properly display that disclaimer please. Ill try to take a picture of the guy who is most annoying about it. Plus it is unclear when they will offer their free drinks. Literally order the same thing every time and once in a while the register employee offers the free drink. So aside from the obscurities. It is a great food place. Super tasty and creative with the food. Highly recommend if you dont mind being in the dark about your orders pricing. :)
As much of a classic as it is, orders can take awhile to come out, and usually extremely salty depending on what you get. The sandwiches with gravy on them are overly salty in my opinion, but regular no gravy sandwiches are good. Onion rings were gross, and french fries were cold. We ordered cheese fries once, they literally stuck a piece of kraft cheese on top and called it a day hahahaha it was comical but sad at the same time. You get a unique crowd here at night, alot of drunks and stoners and obnoxious teenagers.
One of the best pig out spots you will ever find. Sandwiches are to die for, have probably over a hundred sandwiches to choose from & is hands down the best deli I have ever eaten at. Its more of a once in a month experience, do to the fact that each sandwich is like 3,000 calories, but its so worth it.
Their sandwiches are great but the breakfast not so much. I had the egg white turkey platter and had to throw more than half away. Turkey tasted old potatoes not even cooked well and eggs could have used some taste. I would go go lunch but their breakfast lacks the great taste u want to start a good day.
I ordered a Coyote hero a few weeks ago, I’m not sure if it was a cruel joke or a honest mistake. It was suppose to have ranch, my sandwich was swimming in tarter sauce.I never had an issue nor a problem like this before. Probably they got the order wrong, someone out there had my sandwich. I laughed it off and called them they offered me a new one and pick it up. I was far by that time so the female who I rather not name who answered she was nice, understanding and gave us credit for our next order.I just called and was told “oh it expired as per the manager.”Horrible.
I ordered a bullet hero and a corona hero. I waited an HOUR for the food. I get my two hero’s, drive home, open the bag. One hero is marked corona the other is marked bullet, BUT they were both corona hero’s. I waited an hour for you to give me a wrong sandwich and the they weren’t even that good.
MORONS! Have been here maybe 6 times in the last 3 months. Not a single time was the order correct. But today took the cake with driving there late at night to pick up an order from delivery.com (who said 45 minute wait time- I have them 75 minutes as there always slow). I arrive and I get ok we dont take orders after 1am. Thats really not customers falls now is it? Thats your fault for not putting it on delivery.com or seamless or GrubHub they then asked me to wait for it oh, I look around at the 50 people waiting for their one sandwich and I say back to them no thanks I dont want to be here until 9 a.m. waiting for some shity sandwiches if youre in a total jam stop there but by all means do not order there on purpose or any of the other awesome Delis are a haopen withinlf-mile radius
Food is always great, although the food takes long to be done and the employees should ask more customers if the being helped, takes names for orders and call it out when its done, had to inquire if my food was done multiple times and it was bit no one said anything, some of the night crew need to be more polite and answer phones more had a bad experience one evening when calling and when I arrived I asked then if there phone wasnt working the young man said they were busy but that wasnt the case when I walked in just loud music playing in the back and laughter, it seemed like no one wanted to work that night.
This place is the worst deli ever. Ran by a bunch of morons who after making you wait a half hour for a sandwich it’s not even made correctly. I live around the corner so unfortunately I deal with this toilet frequently and every single time they get the order wrong. Even when I call ahead they don’t make the sandwich until you get there then wrap it in tinfoil to pretend it’s hot until you get home when it’s ice cold. Unless you’re absolutely starving with no where else to go you should never ever go to this garbage dump.
Very disappointed in the Hempstead location! Orders the Bomb on a hero which is $10 and had very little meat for the price! Also asked for peppers, got charged and the peppers werent added. Overall taste was very salty and lacked the true Philly cheesesteak taste! Never returning.
The service was horrible - it took almost 1 hour for three sandwiches. Then when I asked if my bread was toasted - the young guy became very rude and said whatever while throwing my bread on the counter - when I asked for a manager another kid appeared claiming to be the manager and said that he would speak to him. Stay away from Cherry Valley in West Hempstead!!!!!!
This place is worth the trip you get what you pay for and more and the best thing is that there open 24/7 and they seem to always to have people at all hours going in and out of the store! you get more food than you know what to do with. The staff is always friendly and fast to help get you out the door.
I have mixed reviews on walk-ins its great service nice people and good food but food delivery thats where it gets funny, I knew one mile away not too far from the store they said they dont deliver Im too far but I know for a fact the next town over from me they delivered to I never understood that and to make sure I tested it out myself I call for delivery from my house and then I went to my friends house and the next town and had them call and they delivered it there so I was confused but other than that the food is good
Wow... that young girl that’s working the counter has some attitude on her, about 3 people ordered their food after me and they all got their food before me... then proceeds to tell me with an attitude that they called it in.... I WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE WHEN THEY ORDERED.

2022-01-02I’m completely disgusted with the customer service at the West Hempstead location. I ordered through Ubereats. I laid each detail of what I wanted in my order which is given to the STORE. They put bacon which I’m allergic to on my sandwich! Thank God I knew to check it before biting into. Then they didn’t add the extra items that’s not listed on ubereats to the order. I’m confused on how they messed this order up because they are the ones who attach the receipt listing my exact order & then I try to contact the driver & the store multiple times & no answer. How convenient not to answer the phone when you mess up somebody’s order. Very disgusting & careless.

2022-02-19Been coming here for over 10 years now. One of the best spots for those late night cravings. Their heroes are delicious and filling. Also if you go during lunch time, you get a free drink as well. Personal favorite is Omara with spicy chicken cutlet and cherry valley sauce instead of Russian. Can’t go wrong!

2022-04-25Wait time is ridiculous for the place, atmosphere dirty not cleaned often. No communication with customer while waiting on order even though place was empty

2022-03-05Dont order from here! Their customer service is worth less than one star. I waited 20min for a bacon egg and cheese on a roll. When I checked my sandwich it didnt have any bacon and they only put one egg when I paid for two! I gave it back to the girl at the register and instead of apologizing her response was well I didnt pack it she then gave it back to the cook who carelessly thru bacon in and tossed it in a bag on the counter without apologizing or letting me know it was sitting there waiting for me to take it.. if I didnt notice it sitting there who knows if they wouldve informed me that it was there..I wish the owner would see these reviews and make a change...they used to be good but not anymore! I will never go back.

2020-01-29Needed to eat something bad for my body but good for my soul. Cherry Valley was the closest place that came to mind. This place is good for a number of reasons. 1 they have a tiny parking lot which makes things way more convenient. 2 they have very friendly staff. Lastly, they have pretty tasty fat sandwiches that are a great once in a while treat. So for lunch my friend and I ordered 2 fat sandwiches. I ordered the Bullet hero which is chicken cutlet, bacon, pepperjack cheese, fries and cherry valley sauce. It was very good. My friend got the Coyote hero which was chicken cutlet, bacon, mozzarella cheese waffle fries and ranch. I wouldnt make coming here for fat sandwiches a habit but if you treat yourself well you gotta give yourself a day to cheat too. all it was a nice treat but its not an every day kind of lunch spot.

2022-05-12I ordered a chicken caesar salad and was given fake meat. It definitely wasnt chicken breast. It was more like chicken by products. I was so disgusted and threw it away. I will not return. Sorry...

2022-07-04This employee didn’t want us let us order because we call her a dude but she looked like a man no desrepect at first. She told me to leave because how am I supposed to call you if your a woman if you don’t look like one? This is getting out of control!! Still love the deli but I’m still hungry

2022-07-11Great experience and food. Love it, will go back for sure. Bacon was overcooked though but other wise great 👍
