Im not a big cheesesteak person but the unique menu items had me curious to try. This food is delicious!! The staff is great and I enjoyed the playful and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be making this place a regular lunch stop.
Love their food and the ambiance of the restaurant! It’s well kept and the staff is always friendly. I love coming here and introducing new people to this place. I would love to give this place 5 stars. My only dislike is that a full combo with fries and a drink after taxes is $18 dollars. It’s a bit pricey for me for a combo. Again, would definitely recommend when anyone wants to splurge on really good takeout!
Its not Genos/Jims, cant compete with that vibe (obviously, to those who have completed the Philly cheesesteak challenge), but they make a very good cheesesteak. Many variations over wit wiz to explore, many whilst staying true to the heart of a good cheesesteak.Fries are normally decent, our last visit was close to closing time and the fries were truly awful which was the first major miss from this otherwise excellent joint.I feel bad rating them a 4 star as otherwise this place has been awesome. But man, those fries sucked last visit.
Im from Philadelphia so I know what an original Philly cheesesteak tastes like I grew up on them. This definitely is not an original Philly cheese steak but it is good only thing is went there two times now and both times by the time I got home with my sandwich the bottom of my roll was soggy. when I went the second time I asked her to toast my roll and she said they are toasted but apparently not enough because the juices and the grease from the meat soaked through and make the bottom of the roll soggy. The food is good it is not a large portion but its enough. The cheese fries are very salty so when ordering just tell them no salt on your fries and a large order of french fries or cheese fries is enough for two people to share. I have tried steak and the grilled chicken cheesesteak and both of them were good. Only thing is just wish that they could toast roll a little bit more so that the bottom of my roll doesnt get soggy by the time I get home. Would recommend this place if youre looking for a cheesesteak.
This place should be called Chiddy’s Cheese Fries because that’s the only thing good at this place. It looked good online but when I got there and saw they use store bought white bread hero rolls I knew the cheese steak would be mediocre. Turns out it was. Meat was so plain and tasteless. If I didn’t drown it in their chipotle aioli (which is also mediocre), it would’ve been borderline inedible. Don’t waste your money on their cheese steaks. Stick to their cheese fries.
Finally an amazing cheese steak place near me!! The food is amazing. The cheese steaks are so so good and the fries are perfect. I’m excited to try other things on the menu. The staff is friendly and seem like really nice people-so happy this place popped up!!
Was looking for something different and was so happy that i came across this place. Food was amazing i got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and will be going back again. Super cool dudes working there great place highly recommend.
They charge 50 cents per topping. I didnt realize this and ended up with a $15 cheesesteak. The food is good, but the prices are not competitive because theyre charging for what most places do not.

This past Saturday was my second visit. The food is good, but they really need to rethink who they have representing them at the counter. The girl was unfriendly and unpleasant. Her white shirt was a nasty filthy mess and clearly showed the grease stains of a previous days usage. This is not how I want to be treated when I patronize a business.
Stopped in here for the first time, and was not disappointed! Ordered the Signature and fries, guy behind the counter said I get a free drink with that—now that’s great service! Tasted just like Philly
It was Amazing and then, you get what you pay for I guess.. Long term review. Because of the pandemic I started to order it delivered. It was cold and terrible. 2 times through seamless. So I decide to go get it my self and it wasnt much better. Such a shame. use to be amazing. This usually happens when the owner/creator is not on sight to guarantee quality as franchise grows. Jersey Mikes better to be honest. Also. Owner very difficult with covid 19 restrictions while other restaurants werent anywhere close to the restrictions they had. Ate at Greek place across the street in doors a few days before with no problems. This place was like picking up a sandwich at the Emergency room for covid Er. Almost every time i Call they ask for my card number and dont le me inside. I mean I get it. but its 2021. Enough already. It has a 99.9 % survival rate on the CDC website.
Great place... I called them up at 8:55 to find out when they close. He said sorry we close at 9 and the grill is shut off and cleaned. He then asked me what I wanted and I said just one cheesesteak sandwich. To my surprise he said come on in it will be ready in 10 minutes. Wow... that’s what you call customer service !!!!A+ service and A+ sandwich!!!I highly recommend this place and will totally be back
Pretty good cheesesteak joint. I think they are a bit pricier than necessary but the food is cooked to order and it tastes amazing. I go for the custom cheesesteak and havent been disappointed. There are two tables and a counter that seats 4 so you may not get a table at peak times.
After many nights of home cooking, Chiddys hit the spot. Delicious cheesesteaks and fries. Fresh ingredients, perfect portions, and served hot. Just perfect and satisfying. So glad Chiddys is open again to serve our family and community.
Easy to see right off Jericho Turnpike servicing Commack and the adjoining areas of Nassau County. Brand new spot. Originally a food truck. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. A variety of different Cheesesteaks. Hot Dogs and fries as well. Nice staff. Reasonably priced . We will most likely be going back.Thank you to the owner for responding. So Glad i finally went here. Food is delicious and staff is great. I waited a bit for my food, with some others, but we knew it would be worth it. Very popular. They should stay open later on fri, sat. I cant wait to go back!!
Prices are way too expensive. I like how the inside looks like a food truck, cool idea. But nearly $20 for a Philly and some fries is overpriced. Maybe I was overcharged by mistake..

2022-06-04Got 3 fish tacos and cheese fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. Guy behind counter was kind and courteous. Good food and good staff I cant wait to try the other items next time. Keep up the great job

2022-07-25I’ve been coming to this specific Commack location since they first opened. Food is always hot, fresh, and made to order. Customer service is impeccable. Never had a bad experience and it’s part of my regular spots I go to now. Highly recommend it!

2022-03-23I was looking for something different than just another burger place in town and Chiddy’s was a great experience. They are more than just a cheesesteak joint. The chicken and steak quesadilla’s are some of the best I have had and the variety of empanadas are great as well wether you want a classic beef and cheddar or something sweet like the banana Nutella empanada.

2020-08-07They have really good fries but their Philly’s are terrible. Save your money on the sandwich and just get the fries. Philly was very plain, absolutely no flavor. Meat was a little tough and bread wasn’t toasted. Very disappointed. Definitely not worth almost $20.

2022-03-14Looked on the website to see what I wanted and when I got my order, they didnt put anything on my Philly... Not even what they were suppose to put on it.. It just was plain. Cheese fries are good. wouldnt come here again though. Its unfortunate.

2019-07-13I ordered a cheesesteak french fries and a can of root beer everyone was friendly took the order to go got home and realized they forgot the french fries 😟 kind of a big deal considering it was half the meal. cheesesteak was really good and I would have loved to have given a better rating but Ill never know how those french fries were
