The pizza was decent, a little run down inside but it was definitely fast service and very nice staff!And hey they were open, the restaurant next door at 11:43am still had the closed sign hanging in the front window. I watched at least 15 people turn right around and walk to their cars even though that other place was open just because they didnt change their sign.
Me and my husband was in the area and just hungry . The food was fresh and made on time . Meat sauce is so good . Now I have to drive 20 mins just to come back . Its worth it

Check the price on the wall menu, hand out menu and web site. They charge you more and say they are not up to date. They wont give you a receipt so you can see the difference. Price gouging at its best.I returned my order because the wings were so dried out they were petrified. The cook said we do the best we can.
Their macaroni salad has no taste whatsoever, which is a bummer since that’s one of my favorite parts of a plate. I think it might be just elbows and mayo. I’ve had it a couple times thinking maybe it was off once and still no flavor. I ended up adding seasoning to it. My father in law said the same thing another day he had it so I know it’s not just me.Their Chili-Hots sub is pretty good. The burgers are small so it’s more sub roll than anything but it’s a good mix of ingredients.
Southern burger is downright amazing, you can taste every specific ingredient used to perfect this dish. You get a hardy meal with any choice of two sides for an extremely good price. Service was fast and generous. I highly recommend this restaurant any time of the day. You wont be disappointed.
As a GrubHub driver, I have to give this place high marks based on the occasions that Ive done a delivery from here. The staff are always friendly and professional, and they work hard to make sure the food is hot and the order is accurate. I know that some of the drivers . . . arent the greatest, but Ive always been treated well here, and I always recommend this restaurant for diners in the area.UPDATE: Well, after five years in Rochester (Im a Los Angeles native), I figured it was time to try a garbage plate. I was always reluctant to try one, but I ate all varieties of cuisine back home, so why not a plate? I just moved to Gates, and Ive always liked doing deliveries from here, so this was my first choice. I ordered the white hot plate, and my dad (similarly uninitiated to the ways of the garbage plate) had the cheeseburger plate.Well, this wont be the last time we order plates from here. If youre counting calories, then these might not be your first choice, but they were just absolutely delicious. I devoured mine, and even my older dad (who has always been the slowest eater Ive known) plowed through his quickly--what he could eat in one sitting, anyway. As Ive always experienced from my deliveries from here, the staff was friendly, and the food was on-time and hot. I couldnt recommend Chili Hots more, no matter your plate experience level.
The staff was extremely friendly and the service was fast. The garbage plate wrap was amazing. I had to order two of them because I love how they taste. Altogether my experience has always been great at chili hots.

I had a new menu item yesterday at Chili Hots. I couldn’t eat a full plate because it was lunch. They recommended their new garbage plate wrap. I thought it sounded interesting so I tried it. They customized it with my favorite fixings just like a regular plate. It was excellent!! It was a great tasty plate on wheels! Great if you want something just a little lighter than a full plate or if you’re on the move. Definitely a must try!
My brother recommended this place since I get plated every time I come back home. Absolutely would recommend it to anyone who isnt familiar with a plate or is trying to find the one they like they best.
Great food but pricey
Recently moved to the chili area and since this place was right down the road I figured Ive gove it a shot. Ordered a cheeseburger plate and two bites in I realized this was the worst plate Ive had in my 20 years of eating them. The meat sauce was lifeless and it felt like the person cooking the food could care less about what they serve across the counter. Im giving it this lone star because the milkshake was really good and if nothing else I has to give them credit for at least that
Very disappointed, order there all the time. Ordered plates tonight cheeseburger plate Mac salad and fries etc. started chowing down because my family and I love them and have never had a bad plate til tonight. A few bits in you could smell something was off so I smelled the Mac salad and it smelled like fermented vinegar, I can’t even explain how bad the odor was. It actually started to make our stomach turns it was just so strong couldn’t even eat it. So I called to let them know about the Mac salad and I was very polite about it letting them know, even suggested to bring it in and have them smell it. Nope never even excepted that or offered to give us our money back or anything. Very disappointed. They better have thrown it all away. Ughhhh
I went a half hour before they closed. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and that was delicious. However, the soft pretzels were wet and soggy and I had to recook them before they were okay to eat. Also, the cheese sauce that accompanied the pretzels was nasty.

My fiance and I always get Garbage plates when we order from here. They are very good and you can walk in and order and it only takes about 10 mins to get you food.
Wonderful and cozy place to grab a quick lunch! There are so many options, that it is impossible to not find something that meets the needs of your diet! The owner and staff are all very friendly! They also have the best plates in Rochester!
These guys over the years have taken it to a whole new level they have made their garbage play exactly what Rochester expects out of a garbage plate. Top Notch keep up the great work.
A couple years old now, Chili Hots carries some pretty late hours. A pretty big menu to choose from. Food is about what you would expect as are the prices. Its bright and clean, parking is easy. Watch the door as you try and enter as it is a little hard to open. A good place to grab on chow on your way home.

Over cooked steak, grilled chicken was chopped up and very over cooked and burnt. Not fun walking through a cloud of vape from people who are standing right outside the door. Over all this is the 3rd time it has been horrible.

Being a fan of Nick Tahou garbage plates, I can affirm that Chili Hots has one of the best plates in Rochester. The home fries are crisp, and mac salad has distinctive taste. Only thing they could improve is to open a spot nearby RIT and keep it open till late night :).

I really like the food here so far has been great except the b l t .for eight dollars i expect e d to see more than one piece of lettuce.not to metion one slice of tomatoe cut in half.it was very shabby.i assumed it would be like the kind you get at a diner.nope not even close.th e bacon wasnt bad.
By far the best plates/wraps everything is so tasty and fresh chili hots really is the best in the west if you have never had anything from there I strongly recommend going to chili hots.
Rolled in here, after a few drinks, the grub was pretty good but the flowzell was acting a little inappropriate. When I placed my order the flozell grabbed my package and stated I like what your working with. I was a little nervous and taken back by his comment, but smiled at and nodded my head in agreement. The flozell the exposed white ween Im(-er and ran out of the establishment.
Orders are always correct. We usually order occasionally online and we havent had an issue yet. Staff is also friendly. Thank you!

2021-01-29Asked for everything and apparently that doesnt even include ketchup, which is a basic topping. Theres barely any meat sauce at all. Cant find the cheese in the grilled cheese. Just go to Tahous for a garbage plate :/

2021-11-13The quality of this establishment has decreased immensely. Its very inconsistent. Instead of making new fries, they are double dipped. Tots were inedible due to being double cooked. There is no concern for quality .

The portions were generous too!I will be back for the pickles and mushrooms!!The Italian sausage sandwich was skimpy and way overcookedIm withholding judgement on their sandwiches for now. I will try a different sandwich next time.Layout of the place was spacious. Staff was friendly and efficient.

2022-04-13I went in for a pick up order of 2 plates(one had extra hot sauce)and a cheese quesadilla. I was never told my total on the phone…fine. The girl tells me it’s $48.80!!!! Seriously?!? For 2 plates and a quesadilla?!?Their plates are 12.95 and $1 for extra hot sauce. Quesadilla $9 I believe. Where did this total come from?!? So I left without my food or paying. I’m now at Churchville Grill. Plates are 11.50 here. Plus we got the quesadilla and a grilled chicken Greek salad all for $46.50!!!! There was no explanation at Chili Hots as to why my bill was way over. Done going there!

2021-05-04Great food, great service.The Sky Burger is my favorite. Shakes are great, nice and thick. Ive never had a bad meal from there. Probably one of the better plates in the area. Make sure you are clear with your order. Ive ordered smaller items like hot sauce on the side, and failed to find it. Other than that Ive had nothing but good experiences with them. Hence the 4 stars, no one is perfect.

2021-07-04I hadnt been to Chili Hots in a long time. In a post-pandemic world, its hard to find any eatery open late anymore, much less one with a quality staff. I was drawn in once more, and I was pleasantly impressed. Red hots were perfectly caramelized and juicy, and the steak plate was flavorful and well balanced.
