Excellent service! I did not buy my truck there, but I needed a dodge dealership to do the repair, it was worth the distance I drove, they honored the extended warranty I had and called me with updates as to when they would have it finished, also they saw there were 2 recalls that needed done and did those as well! Fast service, very pleasant service dept. I would def recommend taking your vehicle there for any service that may need done. Again, Excellent job done!
I purchased a Dodge Challenger in March 2019. I had been looking for specific features including a sunroof, heated seats, heated steering wheel, low miles, and of course a great price. I have been searching steadily and mostly daily since late summer early fall both locally and and countrywide. Living in Connecticut it was much more convenient to buy in New York than flying somewhere and driving it home but I would have if I didn’t find this car. I didnt settle and I am glad I waited for my dream car with the price and location and everything I wanted including the color. They offered to have someone drive the car to me at a very reasonable price, but we chose to drive one way.My salesman Charlie was great to work with, especially buying a car unseen. He kept in touch with me every step of the way and made the purchase and everything that goes along with it including the extended warranty details easy to understand and at a great price. He explained how everything worked in the car. I paid for the car when I arrived as I did get my own financing, but they do offer assistance in finding low rates and financing.I would definitely do business again with them and do recommend them.
I was searching for a Jeep Cherokee Limited but none of the dealers around me had what I was looking for. I contacted this dealership one evening after work. The next day I was greeted with a email and text from Jeremy Gaylord. He was very professional and helpful I told the exact Jeep I was interested in and where I was looking to be payment wise. After lots of hard work and his help I was set with a great payment and pricing on the Jeep I was interested in. The day I picked up the Jeep Jeremy was great with the paperwork he even called my insurance for me. Before I left he took the time to show me how everything worked and asked if I had any questions. It’s been a month already the Jeep has been great I recommend anyone in the market go see Jeremy Gaylord at Chilson Wilcox you won’t regret it!
Just a head’s up....do NOT purchase a vehicle from Chilson Wilcox in Painted Post. Bought one in the dead of winter....was offered a $3000.00 extended warranty (to which we declined thinking that the price was over the top and it was a cash only warranty.) when i went to turn her a/c on... it did not work. A call was made to Chilson Wilcox auto, and due to the vehicle being beyond the 30 day warranty, (called on day 45!) they would not fix it. Even though most normal humans do not use their a/cs In the dead of winter.... we had our mechanic look and the a/c was faulty, but Chilson Wilcox would not budge..... I understand if i had done something to damage the a/c, but it obviously was not checked by their mechanics prior to the sale. And I will review on every social media they have. If I could put 0 stars, I would!!
I bought a 2016 Dodge Charger R/T from Charlie Griswold awhile back. Sorry that it took so long for me to leave a review but I just wanted to spread the word about how great my experience was.I drove down from Buffalo because I saw they had a great deal on the Charger. It was about 1 year old at the time and seemed to be about $2,000 below market. Charlie was very easy to work with and so was the finance manager. Im used to stressful car buying experiences and this was so easy that it was astonishing. Theyre not lying when they say they sell cars a different way. There was no BS, no games, a great deal and great service.Thanks again guys! Im still loving the car!
We were very friendly and nice and left our vehicle for a maintenance check and for them to lower our tire pressure which is at 40Psi and they never lowered our pressure once we picked it up the next day. We called back and asked them if they did and they lied to us sayingOf course.We told them we asked them to be lowered and they are still at 40psi.The dude then started to get a tone with us and we proceeded to sayHow do we know that the other service was done if this obviously wasnt. .Not even giving us time he saidGoodbye In a very rude tone and something else but hung up quickly right after. We called him back to find out he was the Service Department Manager. Signed, never to repeat business there!
I had a problem with my Jeeps air ride suspension. Looking over the problem on Jeep forums and doing some research with local shops let me know that this could easily turn into a real nightmare to get fixed. After talking with Al at Chilson Wilcox I decided to go there to get it fixed and I am very glad that I did. Thoughtful diagnosis, excellent customer care and fair dealing will bring me back here next time I need service, or a new ride (Jim in Sales is also superb to deal with).
The best car dealership I’ve ever been too. Internet sales manager Charlie griswald was an excellent salesman and provided great customer service and the car looked exactly like what he posted online. The entire team there at Chilson Wilcox were very helpful! If your looking for a great car, buy from them! I promise you won’t be disappointed. Great dealership!
Just wanted to share a review of Chilson-Wilcox.Ive been coming to your dealership for service on both of my vehicles (2013 Dodge Dart Rallye / 2010 Jeep Compass) for the last five years. Not once have I ever had a problem setting up an appointment with your dealership to get my vehicles taken care of. Your employees have always treated myself, my wife, and our vehicles with the utmost respect. I cant thank you enough for taking such great care of our vehicles when they are in need of routine maintenance, or the dreaded out-of-band work when the need arises.If an issue is discovered while another issue is being resolved, your technicians have always told me right away and physically show me the problem, and how theyre going to fix it. Even if that means making a second appointment, it has never been a problem for me. There have been a few times where serious work had to be done on our Jeep, and you have always taken great care of us and were always willing to work with us on timing due to other priorities.Ive never had a problem that your technicians were not able to fix the first time. Your technicians are extremely professional and respectful of other viewpoints; being able to talk out an issue and get it resolved quickly/effectively is one of the greatest assets your technicians display every time I am in the shop to get repair work done. Even if my naivety is on full display, its nice to know that your technicians will take the time to explain to me what the issue is, how they found it, and what it will take to get it fixed (including cost).Your sales and service staff are also incredibly friendly and respectful. Its great to know that I can call for status updates on my vehicles in service, and Bill/Al/Doug/Heather are happy and willing to chit-chat while they get an update from the techs on whats happening. Its a very warm, pleasant experience every time I need to setup an appointment, swing by to get a code read, or have a question about the next weird noise I hear either of our vehicles make. I cant say thanks enough for always making my service experience as stress-free as possible. And while my car is being serviced, and Im on site looking at a possible upgrade, your sales staff are never pushy. They encourage me to look all over the models on the lot, open everything, adjust everything, even go for a drive, just to make sure its what Im looking for. I always make sure to say Hi to Ron when Im in since he always asks when he can get me in an upgrade. :)In sum, I just want to say thanks for being there for my wife and I. You have earned our trust, loyalty, and business, with every service visit. I have never had to worry about either of my vehicles failing on us since I have been bringing them to you for service. I dont even know where to begin, maybe with the part of me on contact with jessica about coming and buying the car on Saturday and submitting all paperwork, deposit, insurance info, everything on Wednesday, and then getting emailed about picking the car up Saturday, only to get there after driving 45 minutes to be told that I cant take the car with me because they dont have anyone to do the paperwork. Or having the general manager get in my face while yelling at me either you want the car or dont it doesnt matter to me, or the part where they sold the car out from under me after I had all ready put the deposit down on it, so in turn they treated us like garbage so I wouldnt take the car (that they had all ready sold) and they wouldnt get caught in the scam that they were trying to run. Maybe I will start with when they refused to give us the deposit back but in the same sentence said he would sell the car out from under me if he wanted to because he could... or that I was told that if I DID purchase the car that they would deliver it to me on Monday, but Jessica (the sales person I was working with) was off on Mondays , so she couldnt have delivered the car to me in the first place. The possibilities are endless with the fantastic customer service and respect that we were treated with. I have never been treated like this, it is completely unacceptable.
This place was very nice well kept and professional I did not purchase my vehicle here but I brought my 2011 dodge grand caravan to have a recall fixed while I was there they looked into my cylander 2 misfire and found that it was covered under warranty they went above and beyond to help me out my van is now fixed. I had a slight issue with oil and grease on my front bumper which is expected for the work they did to it went back in and asked that they cleaned it and they took it back in and washed it off for me no issues no questions asked. I would def recommend getting any work to your vehicle done here they are all very accommodating and professional thank you to the gentleman at chilson Wilcox for fixing my vehicle and making the experience pain free.
Charlie was very helpful. Made this buying process very easy. I drove 4.5 hrs to buy this car from his dealership and was not disappointed. He even gave a full tutorial on using the cars system. I will recommend anyone buying a car near or far to visit Charlie at Chilson-Wilcox Chrysler Jeep Dodge!
I test drove a 2015 ram mossy oak edition. I dealt with Charlie Griswold (used vehicle manager). Upon a test drive and looking over the vehicle I found cruise control did not work, tires were barely legal for nys inspection, electric tape was holding together broken clips for center consol, other things were found etc...! When I brought these things to managers attention his response was I dont have to sell the truck! You contacted me! Not recommended at all! Not professional at all, let alone a good salesman. Not very honest throughout the process either. Telling me they spent a lot of money on exhaust manifold gaskets. Upon looking at paperwork it said both sides were done under warranty? Everytime I asked a question an answer was given, but then a different response was given trying to justify the first answer within the next sentence. Seemed like he was just telling what I wanted to hear instead of the truth! Buyer BEWARE! Chilson Wilcox please get a new trustworthy used vehicle manager. I will be happy to try purchasing a vehicle again and change review once issue has been corrected.
I have bought several vehicles from Chilson-Wilcox and the whole staff there is awesome, they arent pushy like a lot of the others local dealerships. John the manager is a great guy that always goes above and beyond for me. Thats why I keep going back and will keep going back.
Bought a used town and country. They were non negotiable. That should have been my first clue. The thing was a lemon. Started rusting after a few months. They told me it had never been wrecked and turns out it had. Service dept was a joke. I emailed GM of dealership with all of my issues. He acknowledged my email and said he would get back to me asap and of course I never heard another word. My tip would be if you buy a car there get a carfax report. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
I waited a couple of months to write this as I was very upset with Chilson at the time of my purchase. This was the second time I worked with Chilson. I live in the Buffalo area and traveled all the way back to Corning because our first experience was good. A lot changed in 6 years. I basically bought my Dodge Caravan sight on seen, didnt try to haggle, should have been the easiest purchase for them. However, I had a draft from my bank and the salesman and the manager were all bent out of shape because they had to reprocess the paperwork. What a joke, the place was dead. Very unprofessional and I was really annoyed. Then Mike made a joke about it on the way out. I wanted to hit him. I WILL NEVER GO back. Further they missed me signing one of their documents and then treated me like I was trying to get away with something. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.
Took a vehicle in that was suppose to be looked at and they were suppose to call and discuss options. instead they took it upon themselves to just do it and then charge $400. When explained that permission wasnt given, they had no regard and didnt care, so basically they do the stuff knowing youll pay it because you want your vehicle back.
When I was around 12 or 13 i was riding my bicycle down the road and my chain popped off. The employees of this dealership saw this and came to help. Not only did they fix my bike but they also gave me some water. Theyre good people, well at least about 10 years ago they were. I dont know now.
I purchased a pre-owned truck from CW a couple weeks ago and worked with Ron. Dodge Big Horn with the Hemi. Love it. Had a problem with the battery and wheel balance. Called Bill the service Mgr. He got me right in. Made me feel great! They took care of it and no charge. This is the best run service dept. with talented capable techs I have ever experienced. Thanks guys--and gals!Bob Guild
My Name is Jason Savino We bought a used truck from here for to much money, ok my fault but after the deal is done if you have a problem don’t bother. Sold me a truck never gave me a temp rigistration till mine came in the mail . So obviously I was pulled over 2 times by the police.4 days into buy the truck I have 3 bad tires keep going Flat and brakes are squeaking. The tell me bring it in. Well I had told them about this before buying it and said I wanted tires fixed. Day I picked it up I was told oh it’s just low we added air. Well ever 2 days I have to add air doesn’t sound ok to me.spent 30k this is what you get. Save your time and buy some where would good vehicles and good service after the sale. I hope This helps. Im gonna continue to spread the truth about this place.
This dealer earned my business.I bought a 2015 Durango R/T AWD from them and I live in Atlanta. I worked with Ron in new car sales, he was excellent. I would highly recommend this dealer and this sales person. They did exactly what they said they would do and were honest, respectable, and straight fwd. Something that was apparently seriously lacking at the Dodge dealers here in Atlanta. They also had my truck, exactly as I wanted it specd. I had to drive 15 hrs back to Atlanta, but it was well worth it to work with this dealer.Thanks very much Ron and all the folks at Chilson in Painted Post, NY. I wish you guys were closer to Atlanta, but who knows maybe I will buy another vehicle from you in the future.To those considering making a new car purchase, just be sure to give your money over to someone who actually DESERVES it. Bought a certified pre owned Jeep in May of 2015. Its October of 2016 and I have an error preventing me from using the gps, clock or phone and my 911 light is on. I called the service department mid-day yesterday and left a message, no one returned my call. Called and spoke with Bill today at 315pm, he hung up on me after refusing to answer my question about the error or give me any help.I also live 2 and a half hours from this dealership, I specifically wanted a CPO so I drove to get it. They told me if I didnt make it by closing time exactly they wouldnt wait for me despite spending $30,000.STAY AWAY worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
Dealership refused to do Warranty work due to not purchase vehicle at thier dealership. My advice run from this dealership. I have been a long time costumer from way back when they were in Lawrenceville pa then to Riverside and at thier place in Erwin. They will not get any more of my business and I will spread the word of thier dealership position on warranty work run folks run
I bought a 2014 ram from them for over 40k with under 19k miles . I drove 2 hours away to come check out vehicle. I test drove it in there parking lot and noticed brake power/ pressure felt weird , I told them before I bought truck I want brakes checked /serviced . So next day I come to pick up truck and they said brakes just had surface rust , so I said ok. On the way home on thru way when ever I pressed breaks the whole car shakes . I felt very unsafe and mad with Charlie because I specifically told him about breaks . So I thought again ok surface rust so 3k miles later brakes are just worst . I didnt even pay my first payment on truck and I will have to redo brakes already . I contacted charlie and told him situation, he assured me him and his tech went over the brakes and fed me his 110 certified check list line. He told me I would have to bring in truck for them to check it out and replace if need to be , well this all could of been avoided if he would of had replaced the brakes theWhen I told him. Now he wants me to drive 2 hrs to him one way , miss time from work , waste gas, just for them to tell me something I already knew from day one!
Chilson - Wilcox is an excellent Chrysler-Jeep dealership. I have purchased two vehicles from Chilson and have received great deals from Scott Chilson, owner of the dealership. The dealership also has an outstanding service department and prides itself on providing excellent service to vehicles they sell and to all other vehicles requiring service.I highly recommend this excellent, professional, customer friendly Chrysler-Jeep Dealership.
03/18/2016 – Purchased 2013 Jeep Wrangler03/24/2016 – called to report suspected Oil Leak. Spoke with Charlie Griswold at 6:45 pm03/25/2016 – called service department to make an appointment to have Jeep repaired. Appointment made for Monday 03/28/2016.03/28/2016 – dropped vehicle off to be repaired. Asked both Charlie and Bill in service to please make sure the oil that had ran on the engine be cleaned up so that we could monitor it afterwards to make sure nothing else was wrong or leaking. Picked Jeep up that evening. Did not check to see if oil was cleaned up underneath vehicle engine because it was raining. (Replaced Oil Filter Housing.. Stated this was the cause of the oil leak.)03/29/2016 – Email exchange with Charlie Griswold voicing my disappointment and sincere displeasure with Chilson Wilcox Dealership and Service department (before realizing the oil had not been cleaned up after the repair.)03/29/2016 – Late afternoon. Found that oil had not been cleaned up after repair. Called Chilson Wilcox at 5:00 pm. Was transferred to Bill in the service department. Asked him if he could tell me why the oil had not been cleaned up after the repair? He stated it was after hours, he was not going to listen to me complain, and that I could call back and make an appointment with the Recon department to have my engine hosed off. I told him that my husband would do it himself to save us another trip to the dealership.03/30/2016 – Took pictures of the excess oil that was not cleaned up. Then cleaned off the oil so that we could monitor to make sure there was nothing else leaking.04/10/2016 – Upon inspecting the engine compartment after driving the Jeep for 10 days found Oil to be leaking again in the same area as first reported.04/11/2016 – Called Jeep headquarters Case # . Jeep to on 04/14/2016 to find actual cause of oil leak and be repaired again.04/14/2016 - Jeep at current Service Department. Source of Oil Leak is a Timing Chain Cover Gasket. Which was found in a matter of 15 minutes. 5 to 6 hour repair job. Thankfully the Warranty covers this!There is a huge email exchange as well... But I ran out of space to copy it all..But I will say this ... Between Charlie Griswold and Bill in the Service department..... this is THE WORST DEALERSHIP I have ever seen in my 20 plus years of purchasing vehicles! I wouldnt even give it one star....But you have to in order to post.
I have dealt with this place for 20 years they keep amazing me .. My daughter bought a car from them a couple weeks ago had a flat tire I told her go there let them look .Well flat was her fault come to find out but they are replacing tire for her no charge why deal anywhere else?
Friends,Recently I was in the market for a late model AWD Dodge Charger with very specific options. I live in Wisconsin, but the right deal on a certified pre-owned Dodge was in Painted Post, NY at Chilson-Wilcox. I worked with Charlie to set up the deal and he picked me up at the airport as promised. He showed me all of the cars features, and when we ran into a snag connecting my phone to the UConnect system, his tech had it sorted out in about 30 seconds. The finance office had their act together too, and I was in and out in a matter of minutes. I roadtripped the car back to Wisconsin, and it was flawless. The whole experience has been a real pleasure. I received first rate service from a dealership that will almost certainly never see me as a customer again, due to the fact that I live a 12 hour drive away... 2021-10-29I recently bought a 2018 Dodge Challenger from them, tbh I started finding issues within a few days, bent driver seat frame, headliner missing clips, seat belt installed backwards ext. I was livid, I felt sick, I thought they had gotten me good. I brought the issues to their attention, and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, even fixing things I told them not to worry about. Also I live about 100 miles from them and they provided me with loaners no problem, wasnt a challenger but lol, and also filled my gas tank up for me for free. I was a bit of an A-hole and they did things they were not required to do so i am very pleased. I would recommend them 10 times out of 10.

2021-07-03My experience was great all around ! I ordered a Challenger RT with help from Scott on options and price , ect . Scott stayed in contact with me on scheduling and delivery. ( came in sooner than we anticipated ) Jim helped me through all the financing and warranty info very efficiently. And then the one and only Ron took over on Manuals , controls , navigation system, u connect . Made sure everything was good before driving away ! Everyone there has great personalities , easy going and very helpful !I would not hesitate in the least to return. Plan to keep my car serviced with them also . Looking forward to returning! The old school feeling of dealing with a smaller dealership!

2021-10-15My husband and I were driving from NJ to Niagra Falls. Our dashboard kept lighting up battery issue and his jeep didnt feel right. We pulled into Chilson Wilcox and Bill Lathrop service manager helped us. Turned out our battery cables were loose. EVERYONE there was honest, kind and fair. The waiting area was clean and comfortable too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

2021-06-06Not sure why google wants me to review this location. I havent been here in years. I bought a Chrysler Crossfire here when I was 18. The salesman did several questionable things to get the loan to go through. One major thing was, sending the bank a much higher price and stating I was putting the difference in cash. I did not learn this was illegal until several years later. Last I knew the guy still worked there. As for cars, the one I bought was decent and ran well. Service was forced or it would void the warranty back then. As for salesman watch yourself they will scam you.

2021-01-29Always a phenomenal car buying experience at Chilson-Wilcox DCJR! Just purchased our second vehicle last night and the staff and service is always excellent. Their attention to detail is superb and they go above and beyond to provide a World Class Experience!! Jim Files has been so great to work with! He had everything ready for us when we arrived, paperwork was simple, and he even left a thank you card and had programmed some of our favorite radio stations in our new truck! It really is the little things that go a long way. We travel from the Syracuse area and pass a dozen dealers on the way just to do business here, won’t go anywhere else!

2019-12-13We bought a used vehicle from them and couldnt be more happy with our experience. A few months after our purchase the check engine light came on so we took it back to them. They went above and beyond to fix the problems and also lent my fiancee a vehicle. We are very happy with them and definently will be going there again.
