Cheapest bus around New York. Cant beat the prices ever.
I went to visit my family. And it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Honestly the bus ride was great outsides it being crowded. But the station attendant in NY was horribly rude! Other than, no complaints here. (Traveled from South Carolina to NY, then to Boston.)
My journey on the China bus was kind of pleasant very new seats comfortable but the bathroom needs work too out of five stars definitely a four
This is THE MOST unreliable form of transportation you could take. This bus company has no regard for time, cleanness or the money you paid to take it. The bus will never be on time simply because the driver is outside smoking. You will stop multiple times throughout your trip to pick up and drop off people in random parking lots/ side of the road. The bus is never clean and you will be stuck on it for much longer then expected no matter where your destination is. Take other transportation.

Hold time was very long and after 2.5 hours of holding I hung up. Bad customer service to leave someone one hold that long when you 24 hours never again will I try to use them.
It is what it is for the price of traveling long distance by bus. Dont expect luxury here, they get you to your destination in a jiffy and thats all.
This bus service use to be great. It had clean buses, outlets to charge your phone, air conditioning that worked. It also had a first come first serve policy.Unfortunately, the last bus I took that left from New York had none of those amenities. There was no air conditioning in the back of the bus. Passengers in the front were cold and those in the back of the bus were sweating, for four hours. Some of the seats have outlets for your phone and other seats do not. Its hit or miss.The bus now has assigned seating, which means that you can select seats before you board the bus. This means that if someone dirtied your seat or your seat in broken, youre stuck with the assigned seat. If your seat doesnt have an outlet, then you cant charge your phone. If youre seated next to a loud passenger, you cant move from your seat. There is no advantage to arriving early. As far as Im concerned, this stinks.Also, the driver was heavy on the breaks which made for a jerky ride. Ive been riding this bus for many, many years (at least ten) and once it changed its name to Flixbus, everything went bad. I gave it 2 stars because at least I got to my destination. Oh and by the way, the price went up.If you still want to use this bus, buy your ticket on line, its cheaper, but youll still have to make a seat selection. If you buy your ticket at the booth, theyll charge you 3 dollars extra and assign you a seat anyway. Happy travels.
Cheap, clean, no fuss, smooth ride. When our flight canceled and our car rental fell through, leaving us stranded in NYC, we walked into the Allen St terminal and got 2 Chinatown Bus (Eastern) tickets to Washington DC for 25 bucks each on the 10pm late bus. I didnt expect much for the money. We got a clean, smooth, warm bus with no hassle that left on time and took us exactly where they said they would. The whole trip for us from New York to DC was cheaper and more comfortable than the cab ride out to the airport where out car was parked.
Had a good safe trip from Orlando to Chinatown & back again to Orlando. No complications. The only Con was the TV was showing movies in Chinese only, which if you do not understand Chinese it’s a loss. But other then that the ride was smooth as can be, the driver was very professional and drove the bus in a very safe way. No sudden stops or jerking, which in my opinion is what mostly matters!!!! The bus did make a couple of stops to pick up some people but once it got on the highway it was smooth sailing throughout with minimal stops to fuel and eat. Very satisfied customer! Would travel again!!!

Good trip coming back from Atlantic City. We made it to Chinatown safe most important. My wife and I Will take the bus again in 2 weeks heading back to Atlantic City again..
They dont take breaks. They need to stop and let passengers stretch their legs. Even drivers driving for 6 1/2 hours should stretch your legs.Flix bus is good but they need to take breaks.
I gave 1 star because you have to give something to send a review. Beware if for any reason you purchase your ticket online and miss your bus, you cant use the ticket or get a refund at all!!! Customer service is ghetto and you truly get what you pay for, which is nothing!!! USE ANOTHER BUS COMPANY!!!!
My ride was perfect we left right on time and arrived early. The bus was clean and the driver was really kind. I will admit after reading the reviews I was worried but this company is perfectly fine and the best price around.
This is still one of the best bus lines state to state. Just DONT MISS YOUR BUS! I do commend the staff for trying to accommodate you if it should happen.
The bus ride from NY to SC was pleasant until when we got to our destination, there was a fugitive on the bus that got arrested by the bounty hunter waiting for him at our stop. Family members screaming and crying to let him go. I felt uneasy after that.
It is reasobably priced and love the ride . There are breaks yet the time flies and so far no problems. I would recommend it for tge no flying folks 12 hrs you are there !
Although they were running late, we reachedNew York from Charlottesville on time. Drive was smooth and they offered snacks and beverages which was nice. They are never packed to capacity. I have no problem to refer them. Will definitely go back.

Great prices, but they need to clean the bathroom on did bus with bleach and Mr. Clean it smell really baddd and put air fresheners. Also, they need to leave on time and stop broading people waiting 5 min before the bus scheduled.

Only as a last resort are u to ride this bus I was coming from NYC to Columbus the bus was packed and I had to sit up the whole ride because the seat was broke so if i even leaned on it at all it would extend all the way back into the person behind me lap SMH

Terrible! I was stranded in Colonial Height, VA. Bus was suppose to pick us up for a ride back to New York, At 2:45 a.m but, never showed up. Waited in the cold weather with no where to sit for four hours before we were told that no bus will be coming. We had to search for another bus online and found out that that bus will not be leaving until 11:30 a.m. We had no choice but to wait to take the bus. While sharing our experience, we found out that it is a common practice to disappoint customers with no remorse or apology. NEVER will I recommend this bus to anybody. NEVER!

Chinatown bus is fast and will get you to your destination, but the busses are always smelly and the bathrooms smell worst than an out house.

The drivers were great, they were on time. The bus was clean. The only thing is the price was a little high especially since I found out that there were other buses that are much newer and offer free WIFI.

The bus never showed up
I enjoy traveling on Eastern Tours but when coming from Richmond Va on the 1230 bus the driver is so Rude and nasty will not allow food on the bus or will not stop at rest stops for meal stops. The driver is not concerned about the paying passengers,hes concerned about his daughter when she rides with him..Eastern please speak with the driver about treating the customers right..He doesnt allow passengers to put bags on the bus,they must put all bags underneath the bus..why do u hire drivers like this...Im not sure if people complain about this driver but Im making sure someone hears mine...thank u

This is the worst bus taking experience Ive ever have. My family and I take Jaguar bus from Chinatown at New York City to Cincinnati in Ohio. When we were getting on the bus, one of the female employee was shouting at everyone with very bad attitude. And the ticket collector was very rude, too. My moms chair cannot even lean backward, so she couldnt fall asleep well during the toughest 10 hours ride. And I was woken up by the disgusting smell from the restroom in the coach. The seats were very uncomfortable and small. There are so many other bus taking options can choose in the States, dont ever waste your time and money on this kind of bad bus service.
No longer the inexpensive alternative it once was. Theyre competing with MegaBus, Greyhound, BoltBus, Peter Pan, etc. So, there are other options, although they still do offer more frequent if not as many trips (least to NY) as others.
Horrible! I took the bus from Washington DC back home to NYC, & the bus driver did not stop. Not even a pit stop for the customers to get refreshments or anything. This is my last time traveling with any Chinese affiliated buses. Very unprofessional and poor service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
There was no wifi or working power outlets on our bus back to DC and the driver was a little eccentric, but we got back in good time.

WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER...IM TRAVELING TO VA WITH MY FOUR KIDS AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO CATCH THE 5 PM BUS 2DAY 9/17/16. WE GOT DROPPED OFF @ 4 PURCHASED TICKETS AND WERE TOLD THE 5PM BUS WONT BE HERE UNTIL 10PM BECAUSE IT BROKE DOWN. SO NOW IVE BEEN SITTING HERE @ THE STATION FOR 5 HRS WHEN ME AND MY KIDS COULD HAVE BEEN HALF WAY HOME....SMH I HATE THIS BUS COMPANY

Inexpensive way to travel. Clean busses. Power plugs dont all work and the Wi-Fi is pretty good too..when it works.

The people are friendly , i bring a mountain bike for past 11 yrs back then it was free last month it was $5 extra and today $10 extra way too much ,otherwise would give another star . Wish they had bike racks on the front of the bus that holds 5 bikes like the west coast. I heard there will be another bus service that goes to D.C and bike will be free
You get what you paid for. This is the cheapest service you will get. Dont expect much. I am sure people use this to smuggle drugs and guns. But what do I know.
The bus driver left us on the middle of the way in Delaware when we were heading to Washington dc and our baggage were left inside the bus and when we get back to nyc and went to their office they said they didn’t event have our baggage. In my view all the stuffs inside my baggage were costs nearly $3000

As a customer riding the Eastern shuttle it was not at all as I had expected it to be. The 🚌 bus was too crowded where there was no leg room between the seating area and the aisle were very narrow. Overall the price is very reasonable $25 each round trip. also youll reach your destination in an timely manner. They need to expand their buses with much spacious space in the 💺seating area and aisle, widened chairs too.

Always ride Eastern Bus company Ive been traveling back an fourth from Virginia to New York frequently to assist with caring for my 91 year old mother suffering with Dementia Im on a fixed income and couldnt travel if it wasnt for Eastern my only problem is the cleanliness of rest room coming from Virginia

Beware, their was a driver that came up with extra charges for baggage. I complained about him to attendants inside who said I should have my baggage on board without extra fee, but they were sorry they couldnt help me. So this guy was literally a law unto himself.He was acting like a bus stop taut in a third world country. After much argument with him, I gave him $5 less than what he asked for asked he quickly pocketed the money and jumped into the bus without even helping me to load the luggage into the trunk. Am sure the extra charge was unofficial and he never delivered the money.

The company is good and reliable however coming back from DC the bus already picked up people in Va and the people there are really gross. It must be a bad neighborhood because everyone looked poor and spoke in Ebonics. So if youre traveling to by from DC take a 7 a.m. bus so you dont have to hear ghetto fools and their poor behavior. Btw TIP YOUR DRIVER its not just appropriate, its the same as not tipping your cab driver.

Cozy packed bus on the overnight run from Richmond, Virginia to NYC. No stops (DC or that mall in Maryland) as everyone was sleeping and we were flying. There were very few cars on the road early in the morning of 12/26/18. Arrived in Chinatown at 5:30, 1 and 1/2 hours ahead of schedule! There wasnt a seat to spare. Beautiful cold morning for a walk down to the SI Ferry. Highly recommended and inexpensive - now if theyd only serve some Chinese food and tea on board...

I took this bus service from NYC to Richmond, VA on a Friday afternoon and returned on Sunday evening. Both times it was late (Friday it left 30 minutes late. Sunday, over an hour). Fridays experience was fine in comparison, other than the AC not appearing to be working properly. On Sunday, the driver was alerted before we even picked up passengers in DC (before also stopping in Baltimore, ending with a totally full bus) that the bathroom was not working and he made no effort to go back and check it out. Not even when stopped in DC or Baltimore. He never made a rest stop either, even after passengers tried to get off in NJ when we stopped for gas (where we were UNABLE to leave the bus). I contacted the bus company and received no response. I have taken many buses and quite often (Bolt, Greyhound, Yo!, Peter Pan, Mega, Tripper, Vamoose, DC2NY, Washington Deluxe) and this was by far the worst and the only one I can say I will never take again. Dirty, inconvenient, unsafe conditions. Deserving of a 0-star rating.

I took the bus from NYC to Washington.We had a 10 min stop at a motorway station in Delaware. One guy was a little too late (appr. 5 min), but the in general SUPERunfriendly driver didn`t wait and left without him, although the whole bus was shouting at him to wait. When the guy`s friend asked the driver to stop he said he doesn`t care....I still can´t believe it and of course I´ll never go again with this company.Not recommendable!!
I ordered tickets for this bus line from Baltimore to NY and back because it was supposed to have free Wifi and power outlets. There were no power outlets available to me, and the WiFi had online video services blocked which was the only reason I wanted the WiFi. The bathroom was so scented that my scent-sensitive wife nearly had a panic attack. I will never use this bus line again.

2022-07-10This bus service, while a little rough around the edges, is very reasonable on pricing (especially considering current fuel costs) and despite what seems like a lot of stops, they get you there on time, and sometimes even early! The busses are fairly comfortable, usually have either AC outlets or USB charging ports, and free WiFi. Greyhound charged almost double the price, and nearly double the travel time to the same destination!

2022-03-12China bus they get you there fast safe the only thing I dont like that Im really going to make an effort to make sure they do is to clean the bathrooms on the bus keep them clean keep hand sanitizer none of the buses have it and it was horrible I was going to call the governor but Im going to give you a chance to fix the problem first keep those bathrooms clean we are dealing with covid but hand sanitizer Lysol keep them clean other than that I love the China Box
