Chip City - Astoria in other cities:
Yummmmmmy the very tastiest, big, chonky cookies!! 🍪 this location seems to always have line outside.4 flavors a day. 1 is always chocolate chip. There is a 5th cookie- Plant based chocolate chip option available - made with coconut oil and oat milk. AMAZING flavor! Moist, melty, gooey you wouldnt even know it!
Lovely, small, amazing cookie and coffee shop. Came here on a Saturday at noon, barely a wait. I got their cortado espresso with a carrot cake and Cadbury chocolate chip cookies. So so so so great and warm and you can tell a lot of thought and work went into these cookies. Can’t recommend enough.
Super small spot. 4 cookies were available for purchase on this day - july 2021. Theres no indoor seating, but there is an outdoor stool and countertop seating. I got 6 cookies for $20 and brought them to a small family gathering. I like cookies but im not a huge fan of chocolate chips. My family loved them. The pina colada had a cream center that surprised me, in a good way. Was my first time going to chip city - definitely seem some instagram stuff. Glad i went!
I came today to pick up to bring to LA to my family. Didnt get a chance to get his name but whomever worked today 11/17 3pm , he was very kind and informative! I asked him for recommendations and he was quick to help me choose! Just got the fall dulce de leche latte, soo good! I was worried it would be too sweet becise hello “dulce” but it was just right! And they have options of different milk. It wasnt too hot that it burned me too! thank you for foamy milk lolFYI! I asked because i happened to go to this location instead of LIC “to see what this location has” but he informed me that all locations have the same flavors out for the day. You can call ahead to order through phone or the app. Now i know for next time
Love their cookies! They are so thick and delicious! The Sea Salt Nutella is perfection! And the classic chocolate chip, triple chocolate and funfetti were all fantastic too! Would highly recommend getting a 1/2 dozen box - (they offer the 6th cookie free) to try a few different flavors!
These cookies are delicious! Expect a wait well worth it. It’s a by steep at $3.50 a cookie but they’re big and so good! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. Don’t expect to sit though, as there are only 2 seats in this place. It can also be hard to find as the place is so tiny.
Really cant be in NYC without trying these cookies! Rich, delicious and generous! They have different varieties available depending on the day. We tried one of each available yesterday and they did not disappoint! Washed it down with some of their iced coffee. Open now with safety guidelines in place. Support local businesses!
Last month after Rocco Marks Baptism at Le Nonna on Kent Avenue in Brooklyn, my Mom and I stopped at Chip NYC in Astoria before heading home. I was waiting in a long line waiting to get a Funfetti cookie for myself and a Chocolate Chip Cookie to share with my Mom and Dad. They only sell 4 flavors and it is a different combination. My 2 favorite flavors are Chocolate Chip and Funfetti at Chip NYC. Thank you so much for everything, I really want to get a cookie tin from Chip NYC.
The ORIGINAL Chip City (aka CHIP) is located here in Astoria, and despite its expansion throughout NYC, the quality has not been compromised!Their cookies are second to none and so is the friendly service! I love how Chip City gets into the spirit of the various holidays throughout the year by baking festive treats. There are Christmas, Valentines Day, and even St. Patricks Day themed cookies for all to enjoy.Pro-tip: Arrive super early so you wont have to wait on line.
These cookies are massive, delicious and so addicting. My favorite is their Rainbow Cookie, which I hope they offer again soon! Chocolate Chip, Triple Chocolate and Banana Nut Oat are also among my favorites but really you cant go wrong with any of them. Sometimes the line is ridiculous but always worth it. I have tried 22 of their cookies and cant wait for more new fun flavors! Thanks for opening back up during this pandemic!
Went to this Chips location around 6pm. This location closes around 10pm and cooks fresh cookies all day round. Staff was very courteous and restaurant was clean and well organized. You can also smell the sugar and spices from outside the store and it smells amazing.I had two cookies, the first one was the chocolate chip. The outer shell was hard and the inside was warm and soft. The chocolate chips were big and oozed out. The rest of the cookie had a sugary taste.I second cookie I had was the smores cookie. The cookie had a hard exterior. Cookie itself tasted subtlety marshmallowey, with a big melted blob of marshmallow in the middle. Marshmellow is light and fluffy. Edges were a little burnt (in a good way.)
THE BEST COOKIES IVE EVER HAD!!! Without any exaggeration, Ive actually bought en entire tin of cookies from Chip and flown to Texas with them so Id have quality bakes to snack on during my time there. I know people talk a lot about Levain and others, but these cookies are honestly my favorite in the city, especially if youre into soft, massive cookies. They have traditional flavors like Chocolate Chip and Funfetti, while also offering unique flavors like Piña Colada. Every day there are four unique flavors that get cycled around daily, but you can check their website for what they have each day during a given week. Oh, and though youre limited to buying 20 cookies at a time, they do offer one free for every five you buy!!
Their cookies are amazing! The only complaint I have is that they keep turning off the online ordering. They are definitely losing out on a lot of business by doing that. I know stores can get full but they should hire more people for the weekends and for the holidays to avoid having to do that! Now I’m here craving their delicious cookies and I can’t get it AGAIN😓 it’s the fourth time within a week
Very tiny but cute little store. You can easily miss it if you are walking too fast. Since it’s so small, it can quickly fill up with people and lines will form outside. Luckily, the staff are quick, and lines move smoothly. There are a couple of bar chairs in front of the store but beware as it is directly underneath an AC unit. We sat down and promptly got rained on by the water from the AC unit.As you walk by the shop, you smell the delicious cookies being baked. How could you not buy a cookie? The cookies are quite large as it should be for almost $4 a cookie. At first glance, they remind me of biscuit with their size and shape. Since the cookies are large and dense, the inside is gooier than a normal cookie. For me, I found the cookies to be quite delicious but a tad too sweet. It’s the type of cookie you must eat with a tall glass of milk or a piping hot cut of coffee. I love that you can see the cookies as they come out of the oven. Apparently, they only sell four flavors each day and they rotate the combinations. When I went, they had chocolate chip, Funfettie, S’Mores, and peanut butter chocolate cookies. You can check online ahead of time to see what flavors are available for that day. Also, if you buy five cookies, the sixth one is free.
BEST COOKIES IN NYC!Ever since I moved to New York and tried Chip Cookie for the first time I am in love. They are incredibly soft, chewy and so big!Fresh from the oven you always get a warm cookie to enjoy.I literally love all their flavors but my all time favorite is the classic chocolate chip. So good! They have changing flavors on the menu and seasonal flavors as well.Don’t be scared off by a long line, it’s worth waiting!!
Since last week, was craving for fresh warm cookies that came out of oven.Yesterday I stopped by to Chip NYC Astoria since I was around that area.Brought 5 cookies and got one free.Last time I was there i didnt like funfetti so i didnt get it.I got cookies & cream, blueberry cheesecake & chocolate chip cookie. It seems like chocolate chip cookie its popular!!I waited 10 mins for chocolate chip. The time I went it wasnt busy but while waiting for chocolate chip there was getting busier. Its tiny spaced cookie store. Only three seats inside and two seats outside.Cookies & cream: Was delicious but a little sweet.Blueberry cheesecake & chocolate chip cookie: It was the bomb especially chocolate chip!! So much chocolate chip in every bite of the cookie.Tip: Be there earlier if you want to get your cookies! The line gets long and crowded.Update: what I experienced TODAY..Last time I was there to chip nyc to get cookies because I was so craving for it! And which I was today too again but I felt a little disappointed. This morning around 11:45am I decided to stop by and get cookies. The cookies werent (HOT) it felted like it was left out for long time.Last time it was hot and really good but this time was sad.Everyday the cookies is different. Today I got smores, butterscotch, walnut chocolate chip cookie.I tried smores cookie it was okay. After one cookie I stopped eating it because it wasnt hot as last time.I ordered Ice coffee large last time I was there it was pretty good but this time it was meh..Second update: After hearing about strawberry shortcake was coming out Saturday & Sunday on Instagram I decided to stop by 11:30.Holy cow it was long line!It was 11:30 in just 30 min they were out strawberry shortcake. So one of the guy came out of store and said only 2 per person for strawberry shortcake due to long line.I actually came for strawberry shortcake and triple chocolate when it was my turn to order they were out and I had to wait again and again. An 1 hour and 30 min for cookies of wait was it worth it for me? Actually did not because of strawberry shortcake!I really had high hopes on this one but again, again and again with disappointment.I really loved triple chocolate. Last two time I was there to get cookies the triple one wasnt there. The strawberry shortcake the cookies was undercooked! Its not fully done! The cookies were just falling apart. Sad sad sad very sad.Next time new release for cookies I will just pass it on It wasnt worth it waiting for them after not fully done with the cookies.
Such delicious cookies!! Giant and gooey, similar to Levain, but more flavors and a bit richer (oh and no line!). I went towards the end of the day and tried the chocolate chip and butterscotch toffee, both excellent. Waistline beware, cookies are $3.50 a piece and there is a $10 credit card minimum, so bring cash unless you want to eat three cookies 😄
Seriously amazing cookies. Warm, gooey, and soft. Would have tried every variety if I could but they were very filling. Went to the Gansevoort market location which is convenient if youre staying in Manhattan. Honestly considering making a trip into the city just to get more cookies.
Good cookies that are warm, big, and straight outta the oven. Downside though is that they are quite pricey at $3.50 per cookie, and the wait time can be very long. Waited 30 minutes for the next batch of chocolate chips to come out! Meanwhile the person in front of me bought 6! Maybe there should be a limit? Coffee isnt that great
Absolute best cookies I’ve ever had. However, they have a specific menu for each day which is very annoying if you like a specific flavor. So basically if you like a flavor and it’s Monday you s*** out of luck. This is across all locations!! That is a very bad business model. At least have different locations have a different menu. Your cookies are so good I’d drive to a different location for the cookie I like. Also, they sell the cookie dough if you happen to want to make them yourself, but again they sell the flavors of the day in the box which makes no sense to do if I could just by them made already. They should at least sell the ones they’re not selling that day in cookie dough so you can enjoy what you like.
I needed to check this place out after I saw a video about them on facebook. I was lucky there was no line when I went but people were inside enjoying their cookies and coffee. I got 1 of each cookies to try them all, big surprise chocolate chip was my favorite, just by a small margin. Cookies are served hot, so soft and melted!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone! They accept credit and debit cards.
The cookies are awesome and the staff is always so friendly. That service I got in the Carrol Garden location was terrible but there PSL was awesome and made from real pumpkin purée. I was super excited to be going to Queens so I could stop by my favorite Chip City location I was really disappointed to find out that they don’t sell any drinks here besides milk. When asked they said that a cafe is close by I feel like that’s anywhere in NYC so not a real valid reason but I guess I can understand. However I feel like the PSL and the other seasonal drinks are only here for a limited time and not even offered by the cafe close by that it’s no harm no foul to offer the drinks to your customers that really enjoy your PSL. Still love you Chip City Astoria just a little disappointed I wasn’t able to get your yummy PSL.
Super excited to try out these cookies! Follow them on Instagram where they announce the four flavors they’ll be selling that day. Each cookie is $3.75. I was able to try:Chocolate Chip Walnut - nice buttery flavor, and lots of chocolate chips. Personally I wish there were more walnuts so you could get some crunchiness in each biteS’mores - really liked the marshmallow melted on top and had a strong cinnamon/graham cracker flavorButterscotch - the butterscotch flavor comes through but definitely better suited for those with a strong sweet toothChip vs Levain - Chip seems to be a more trendy alternative to Levain since it utilizes social media and offers a lot more nontraditional cookie flavors. However, when you compare the chocolate chip walnut cookies at both places, I still think Levain is slightly better in terms of size, sweetness level, and walnut to chocolate chip ratio. But it’s also $4 a cookie at Levain, so it’s really a trade off based on your own personal preferences.Overall, a great quality new cookie shop! I’m excited to visit again and try out new flavors.
The cookies are always fresh, because theyre constantly being made throughout the day. And these aint youre average cookies, theyre about the size and thickness of a doughnut, but a lot more dense of course, since its a cookie. My favorite part is that theyre always half baked. Plus they have really good coffee to go along with their amazing cookies. Definitely check this place out, specially if you love cookies as much as I do
Horrible customer service! When we were walking in a guy came out with no mask and with a box of cookies! We were in there talking to the lady who worked there about the cookies and once we were going to order she asked if we had a mask. Mind you were were already in the store like like 2 minutes and she didn’t want to sell us cookies because we didn’t have mask and nor did chip city!
This is a lovely little place hidden off of 31st Ave in Astoria. Its really just a store front, though they do bake the cookies in some ovens just behind the counter. The cookies are quite good — the Smores, which is their most popular, is more like a chocolate chip cookie with some marshmallows on top. I loved it though! I found the Butterscotch Toffee to be mostly just sweet, with not a lot of other distinguishing flavor. The Apple Oatmeal cookie is quite special too, with an apple pie filling and a more-crispy oatmeal exterior. They have a few bar stools outside to sit on, but not a ton of space to hang out. You can get decent sized a side of milk for $2, and theres a deal on the cookies once you buy 5, otherwise they are $3.50/cookie. A nice treat!
Small area but big flavor, daily dose of original chocolate chip, cookies and cream and double chocolate. 20 bucks will give you five cookies plus an extra. my only cringe is that this one past 34th Street but nothing below 21st. I would love to see another small bakery next to Steinway. But only one can dream. Until then my travels will always take me back to Chip city.
The best cookies around. Very large, very good. You have to make sure you get there before they are sold out daily. If it’s too late in the day, most flavors have already been sold out which speaks for itself. They’re warm and gooey in the middle, doesn’t get much better than Chip. I do wish they had more available when I go to order some but other than that, no complaints. Highly recommend ordering ahead.
We waited an HOUR in line for the CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES and I would have gladly waited THREE HOURS for these cookies because they are AMAZING.I love this place! Don’t let the above paragraph fool you, there is not always a line (only on a Saturday night).Absolutely worth the wait. Haven’t had a better chocolate chip cookie in all my life
Crunchy outside with a soft inside. Cookies are MASSIVE and i aint no we ład you know. I too, have big hands. They even left a lovely note on the box and love how flavors change up. 5 star to these nice people and their nice cookies. My mom cant even cookie like them
Just absolutely delicious. These cookies never disappoint. Just when you think youve tried some delicious cookies in your life you come across these and you wonder where theyve been all your life ? Theyre soft, always warm, flavors are great. My favorite is the white chocolate macadamia. However all of them are great this place is a must!
My review is on the actual cookies! They are delicious! Its like a cookie cake. Its soft flavorful and filling. Its pricey but you get a rather large cookie for the price. And the satisfaction you get in each warm bite is worth it!Im not one to stand on line, so I go early when theres no rush or line! But I understand the line especially if your craving. It was the line that drew my attention to the store in the first place! Either way they dont disappoint!
A place that is just for cookies! Theyre so good. Its $3.50 a cookie but its a huge cookie half is good enough if you can manage to put it down. They only sell 4 flavors each day and its always a different combination so if you are looking for that really good one you had last time check the website before you make that trip. That blueberry cheesecake is seriously the best one Ive had.
We were really excited to try this place. They ran out of all flavors except carrot cake and chocolate peanut butter, so we asked for one of each. We ordered a cappuccino and hot chocolate as well. The drinks were amazing, the hot chocolate is legit!! However.. one girl outside stopped to check her bag because the last time she ordered, they gave her the wrong cookies. Well-they did the same to her again, wrong cookies. We got in the car and started driving, only to find out that WE got the wrong cookies, rather than one of each, we got two carrot cake cookies. This is frustrating. They can only serve a max of two customers at a time.. the orders should not be wrong.
Greatest cookies you can really get in the area. I crashed here with a friend one afternoon and it was just great. The staff was so friendly, you can tell she really cares about her job. The PBJ is absolutely great. Don’t recommend getting normal milk though, its literally just milk.
These cookies are actually incredible. They are constantly being cooked fresh and so they come warm and thick! 4 rotating flavors that you can find out ahead of time on their website or Instagram. I recommend going when there arent limited edition flavors, or just expect a bit of a wait.
I had the blueberry cheesecake, apple pie, chocolate chip, and smores cookies. I would totally go back! Possibly the best cookies I have ever had (and I am a tough critic when it comes to cookies). You will have to take the cookies to another location, as the place is extremely small. However, Astoria Park is nearby and it makes for a perfect day. If you want some of the best cookies, take the time on a Saturday or Sunday and go. It is well worth it!
I traveled a little over an hour for these cookies & was not disappointed. The trip was worth every second! I was there as soon as they were opening & as soon as you walked in the delicious smell of cookies hits you! My cookies were warm, moist, soft, gooey, perfect & absolutely delicious! And what’s even better is that they’re HUGE! They really are worth every penny & if you live far away, they are worth the trip for sure. I cannot wait to come back here! Thank you chip for being so accommodating to me & for having the BEST cookies I’ve ever had!
You know a place is good when youre willing to pay $31 for a roundtrip Uber ride because youre outside the delivery area!Chocolate Chip, Butterscotch Toffee, Nutella Sea Salt, and White Chocolate Macadamia are the faves right now. Ginger too but havent seen that in a while (bring it back!) Almost weekly we check the menu to see what day offers the best flavor choices and last night was jackpot! The one day he didnt look before he left work and passes it on the way home. They are almost always warm, chewy gooey sweetness that just makes everything better. Ya have to get a box of 6. Just have to.
Good cookies, but if you ever wondered what it was like to have too many chocolate chips in your cookie, wonder no more. One cookie is incredibly rich and is a perfect size to share with another person. Do not come here on an empty stomach as you may run the risk of overindulgence.
I love chocolate chip cookies and there was big hype about how great their cookies are. Mine come out better. The cookies are just ok....nothing to rave about or wait on a line for. I like my cookies to have a buttery taste. These taste somewhat like a muffin/bread so theyre on the dry side.
It was a very small place, just like the nice ones you find in Brooklyn. They had a very small selection of cookies, coffee and milk was also offered. We tried the chocolate chip walnut cookie and it was nice, a little too salty and less chocolaty. But I would not travel back to Astoria only for that. The service was nice too.
The cookies were delicious. But there are some problems. Inside there is enough room for about 5 people. They only offer 4 different cookies each day. And the price is pretty expensive. Considering all that I am still giving 5 stars because it looks like just what it will be. Go in knowing those things and get some great cookies.
Cookies are heavenly. I actually hear angels sing when ever I bite into one of these creations. They only make 4 kinds a day but they are all so good! My only complaint about this out of this world tasty boutique is they limit how many you can buy and i usually go there with a LARGE order for all the guys at work...oh well if thats the bad part i think they will be here for a long time!!!
The cookies are scrumptious ! I usually dont indulge in such deliciousness but, this cant be avoided !!My indulgence consisted of chocolate chip , chocolate peanut butter and the butterscotch cookies !!! All of them were quite warm and had gooey chocolate or peanut butter goodness depending on your selection !Keywords here : Cookies , warm , gooey goodness !! Amazing it was worth all of the caloric intake with no regrets ! Please when in Astoria get to chip fantastic from the lips to the hips !!! Keep in mind there is a high demand do grab a friend get on the line which moves quickly and Chip out !
Delicious cookies always fresh and warm. They switch flavors every day and sell 4 of them. So your fav flavor may not be on the menu but to be honest they are all so tasty. A bit expensive for a cookie but the major downside is they do not keep up with the demand especially for one-time holiday flavors! You easily could stay in line for 20-30 minutes and then will wait additional 10 min until a new batch of cookies comes out of the oven or even worse, they could be sold out of your flavor for the day!

2022-02-02Oh what a shop to be in!! I love this cookie shop!! Their cookies are so damn good. I cannot tell you how great they are! They cost a tad bit more than a regular run of the mill cookie but I promise, they’re so good. My favorite is the s’mores cookie.Metered parking is available but you can’t sit in the cookie shop. The customer service is excellent, my server was super friendly and helpful. Pre-ordering is also available.

2021-09-20These are hands down one of the best cookies in Queens. There are many places that try to replicate and do cookies like these however, Chip City cookies are just the perfect taste, texture, and consistency. My personal favorites are the cookies n creme as well as the blueberry. Inside the blueberry there is creme cheese which tastes amazing. Apparently they only make 4 flavored cookies each day so they won’t be having the same ones every time. Love these, will definitely be coming back to try the rest!

2022-05-24Always awesome. The cookies are amazing, but I want to shout-out the staff! Consistently super nice and happy to offer reccomendations. Im always wishing I had a little more cash on-hand to tip them since theyre all clearly working hard and being as sweet as the product they bake and sell.Just a heads up, it can get busy. Its a little place, so lines form fast, but the wait is worth it, trust me!

2021-11-27This is the best cookie place so far in Nyc. I like this place more than Le Vain because the latter tends to overly fill its cookies. Chip City has the right amount of fillings, being gooey and warm.

2022-04-19I was hoping for a better experience.. i had gotten some before and heated them at home but these were just lukewarm. The rainbow cookie was the best of the bunch

2021-04-01Always a treat to come here and resist getting more cookies than needed. If you buy 5 you get 1 free :)Flavors change daily, but chocolate chip is always available. My favorite ones were during Thanksgiving. One thing that I find irritating (besides waiting in long line) is that they only allow 1 customer at a time, so even if you are a party of two one can come in look at the menu and pick a cookie, go out and then let the other one in.
