Delicious!! I got a mix of strawberry and mango with a bunch of fruit toppings and chocolate on the top and it was so good. The workers were friendly and the prices are fine. Just a tiny bit High in my eyes but given the area it could be worse. Would recommend if you’re looking for a refreshing snack.
Amazing Place! Very welcoming and cooperative staff! I ordered Mango Madness sundae. It was really good. Best part is they dont use dairy products. A good palace for vegans to visit. They have a fix combinations of toppings for a sundae. But if you dont want any of the toppings they will replace it anything available there of your choice. The New York one is a small one. Only 4 persons can seat at a time in the store. They do have options for seating outside during summer.
Its not often one finds such an amazing place for ice cream, especially as someone whos lactose intolerant, but the freshness of the Waffle Me Crazy Sundae was PERFECT for the hot, muggy, and rainy day that it was when I visited. Ill definitely be going back for the Crunchy Salty Sundae next time.
Had an amzing time at Chloes today. The weather was warm and needed something cold. The staff was very helpful and let me switch out certain toppings for others! Fruit is so so fresh and delicious! They are very helpful to anyone with food allergies. Price is a little high for soft serve but product and location is amazing!
Overall, Chloes is a decent dessert place to visit when youre in the mood for ice cream or froyo but also actually want to be sort of health-conscious. I appreciate that they use just fresh fruit and sugarcane in their soft serve, but I just wish it was a tad bit less expensive. I tried the Crunchy Salty sundae (banana and dark chocolate soft serve with peanut butter & chocolate drizzle, pretzels, bananas, and chocolate chips), which was $6 before tax. I remember it being a decent size, though, so maybe check out Chloes if youre in the area and up for a little guilt-free healthy indulgence.
Went to get juice on 11/6/21 . Two people worked the cashier and tried to charge us for a two extra items that we did not place on the counter to buy. When we realized we were being charged for something else we informed the cashier who didn’t say a word not even an apology. Definitely think the cashiers tried to make us pay for something.
I love Chloes, this is possible the only place Ive ever filled out a full punch card for. The ice cream is vegan and not made of coconut or with nuts. Meaning this is a great dessert spot for the lactose intolerant and/or those with nut allergies. I would highly recommend this if youre near Union Square.
Ah yessss....this is such a satisfying place for good soft serve ice cream. Everything here is gluten-free and dairy-free! Everything on the menu is delicious. You might need to visit this plqce a few times to try everything on the menu. Believe me, you wont be disappointed. I wish i knew of this place a long time ago. Forget Mr. Softies, this is the next best thing! Kudos!
I wish I had studied the menu better before ordering. There arent much options but the options that are there are pretty good.I got the waffle-me-crazy, and I waited about 5 minutes for the waffle to be done. Im not mad about the wait, the workers behind the counter that assisted me were nice, and I got a warm fresh piece of waffle in my sundae. The banana ice cream does taste pretty good. You can tell its mixed with some cane sugar and a bit of water, thats how it gets that soft foamy texture towards the end. I appreciate all the flavors having no milk added.I enjoyed my first time here, hopefully my second time there is just as good. I look forward to trying out more flavors.**Good to know they sell popsicles at the supermarket!
Pretty interesting take on soft serve. Its basically vegan ice cream made with fruits. I found the idea refreshing although the taste takes some getting used to if youre expecting the regular milky flavor. This place is great for vegans but unfortunately Im not one of them.
I came here looking for soft serve ice cream. While they did have it, they only have certain flavors, and they are more geared towards a vegan, gluten-free lifestyle. I myself am not a person who subscribes to it. I did somewhat like the ice cream but it left me a little disappointed. Nonetheless, great business, friendly and quick service. I would recommend to those who like that kind of stuff, but if you want true soft serve with dairy in it, this isnt your place.
Chloes has always been my favorite place to go to when I have a sweet tooth. Never feel guilty for having both, soft serve fruit and a smoothie. I always sit here to enjoy my strawberry soft serve fruit. They also have other flavors as well. You can always add toppings of whatever they have. Small place and everyone is so nice here.
This cute little frozen yogurt joint right off of union square is such a treat. They have really great flavors and the yogurt quality is really great. You have a great time by just getting the yogurt plain or by experimenting with some of their creations. My favorite is their coconut topping… they arent your average coconut shavings, they are finer. Ive also had their fruit bar, a bit pricey, but a great afternoon treat!
Lapin and I came here over the weekend for some of the soft serve goodness. I have worked close by and always wanted to stop in. The store wasnt packed and we got orders taken immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lapin got the chocolate soft serve with white chocolate pomegranate seeds and raspberries. He wasnt crazy over it. The chocolate soft serve tasted weird. We both tasted apple soft serve tasted a bit like applesauce but weaker. I got the strawberry soft serve with raspberries and sprinkles. I liked mines but wasnt crazy over it. Its a bit pricey so we are 50/50 about returning.
The soft-serve here is vegan but many of the fruit flavors taste more like sorbets than a soft-serve ice cream. I tried the mango and although it was good, its not something that i would necessarily go out of my way for. Also tends to be a bit pricey - one soft-serve was around $8
LOVE Chloes! A good spot for a vegan treat offering delicious flavors. They change day to day but love mango, raspberry, pineapple, and chocolate. The vegan waffles are kick ass! Just dont go too late because they will run out - this place is popular and when you check them out, youll know why
Ive never had a non-dairy, gluten free, kosher, vegan treat before so my reaction is purely based on taste. Note, this is not ice cream, nor fro-yo. That being said it was pretty good. You can tell water is used, but it was packed with flavor. I had dark chocolate. Service was great.
Nice assortment of soft-serve frozen yogurts, and the staff is happy to let you sample the flavors. Pineapple and mango are standouts along with other options and daily specials. Enough seating for about 20 people, and if its crowded you can just walk 1 block to Union Square park and grab a bench. Friendly staff and 6 bucks gets you a decent serving.
Its nice sorbet-like ice cream. As usual, it is rather sweet but the banana ice cream at least tastes like made from real fruit, not artificial flavour. The dark chocolate really is more like milk chocolate, no comparison to the truly dark chocolate sorbet you can get in Italy and Brazil. I recommend you decline to get the plastic sheath for the cone - not only is it a waste of plastic but because it is very smooth and flimsy, it acts like a launch device - when I tried to lick the ice cream out of the cone, I naturally had to grip the cone more firmly - but as a result the plastic sheath shot the cone out of itself and onto my shirt. I now have a stained shirt, and half of the $7 ice cream is on the street. This is just silly and annoying!
Wow! Diet friendly, light but also super tasty!Tried the salty and crunchy sundae and couldnt stop eating it! The chocolate soft serve and pretzels made for the perfect snack on a warm day. Will be back to try different flavours! There isnt alt of space inside so get it in a cup for easy walking!
The dessert is amazing only if you add toppings. I tried the mango icecream and added a whole lot of toppings. First thing the staff was not friendly at all. I went there around 9pm and they were rushing to get everything done. They dont have to welcome me but they should give me time to pick my toppings. When it was time to pay then they made me wait while they were cleaning up. I would try this place again just not with the staff that worked on that day.
Im sorry maybe it was my expectations but this place was a bit of a let down. I was looking for coconut ice cream. I was hoping for something a bit more adventurous or creative. Its all pretty much frozen fruit/ sorbets. Minimal choice of toppings and not everything is vegan. They serve whey protein shakes oh and I wouldnt care about the no vegan thing but when I saw the name AND font Chloe I was thinking of the vegan joints By Chloe. FYI its not the same person/owner; I thought it was...
I went here because I am a health-conscious vegan. I thought it was over-priced and somewhat icy since they add sugar water to the soft serve (compared to 100% banana nice cream, i.e. whipped frozen bananas). Id give the place a try, but dont recommend it highly. Seems hyped up. (I have not tried the popsicles, only the soft serve).
Obsessed! I had it for the first time today and I absolutely loved it. I had banana/dark chocolate swirl with strawberries and chocolate chips with peanut butter on top. It tasted so fresh and delicious and best of all I didnt feel sick after lol. Also I never leave reviews but felt compelled thats how good it was
I was completely mind blown at how simple the ingredients are yet taste just as good as soft serve. I think the secret is in the premium froyo machines. At other self serve froyo places, I find the texture to be too icy and not creamy. I was expecting the same kind of texture but at Chloes fruit, the texture is so smooth and creamy, there are no ice particles. I dont say this about every soft serve place, but I would like to upturn my face, yank on the soft serve lever, and stay like that for 20 minutes at least 3 times a day. Highly recommend.
Dessert? This is the BEST. Winter or summer, this place has the tastiest ice Cream: made from fruit and natural flavors. I stop by every time I am near Union Square. This flavors of the frozen dessert a incredible and the toppings are even better. My all time favorite is a chocolate flavored cream with a peanut butter topping and some broken pretzels. YUM
I’m a pretty positive guy overall, but this place wasn’t worth a penny for their yogurt. Waffles were fresh, fruit was good, display of food was awesome, but the frozen “yogurt” was terrible. Bland and weird consistency. Smelled bad when you walk in the doors as well.
This is my favorite yogurt place in NYC. Their combo sundaes are really good, but pricey. Everything is dairy free so its a good place for vegans and lactose intolerant people. Anything with agave and granola is good. My favorite flavor is the banana (kind of like vanilla). Not too icy like sorbet, but not as creamy as yogurt.
The issue with this is this place is it is called a vegan ice cream spot. And yes the ice cream IS vegan. But all of the toppings ARE NOT. There is no marking anywhere to tell you this. I found out because an employee there after a year of going there, told me that the items i was picking for my ice cream were not vegan but instead had dairy and gelatin. When I asked if people knew this she said many people do not. This place is a vegan hotspot. Its why many of us go. How could there not be a label. A star. Something to allow people to know that while the ice cream and waffles and many other items are vegan, small innocuous ones may not be. Its unethical to offer non vegan items spliced into a basically vegan store, without informing people
I am a fro-yo enthusiast, so when I suggested to my friend we get dessert on Sunday afternoon, I automatically googled frozen yogurt shops in Union Square. I found Chloes Soft Serve Fruit which I knew from Facebook posts, had been sampled by a friend of mine. The place is located on a side street just of Broadway and E 17th street. There is not a lot of room for seating, and whether you find a seat may depend on what time of day/week you go. There are five to six flavors to choose from, most of them are fruit-based (with the exception of dark chocolate). They are fat-free (again with the exception of dark chocolate). You can also add a variety of toppings to your cup or cone.It was natural ice-cream, but there was nothing out of the ordinary to my small cup of mango fruit yogurt and almonds. Furthermore, I was overcharged at the counter by a dollar (possibly because I paid with a debit card). If you are on a strict diet I would recommend this location, as the ice-cream tasted very natural. However, if you are open to trying other frozen yogurt venues Id recommend Tasti-Delight, Red Mango, or 16 Handles.
After my second visit, the bloom is coming off the rose. The place isnt aging well, and not just in decor. The menu couldnt be more confusing, and prices are high, even for New York. Im still waiting on an exciting flavor, but they dont seem to change: banana, strawberry, tangerine and dark chocolate (what, you were expecting fruit?). The soft serve isnt very good, tasting watery and lacking that tart edge (in fact, any sort of edge).
Update: They advertise as a vegan icecream shop and while the ice cream is vegan, they do not label the toppings in anyway, MANY of which ARE NOT VEGAN. I was warned by a few vegan employees, only because they cared to tell me based on respecting my choice. This is not only Not Communicated in anyway by the store (so basically hidden from you, by the blanket statement Vegan icecream shop), its also really dangerous and unfair to people with allergies or any religious beliefs and of course, people who have made a lifestyle choice. Some of the items have gelatin and others dairy. Be warned !!!!
Place has vegan based soft serve. Tastes close to having sorbert but with no form of sweeter. (ie. sugar or sugar substitute) The soft serve is given with its natural sweetness to make for the main flavor. The a large array of vegan toppings along with some greenery that you could add for toppings. My wofe really enjoyed hers too.
This is a great place to visit when your sweet tooth is demanding satisfaction. My favorite combo is the dark chocolate topped with cocoa nibs, dark chocolate chips, gingersnap cookies, and peanut butter sauce. When I want to go for a super healthy option, I usually just go with a small serving and all fruit toppings.
LOVE this place. Having recently given up dairy and gluten, Chloes is a godsend (being dairy, gluten AND fat free). Ive always been a huge fan of ice cream and their soft serve fruit is the perfect paleo treat to satisfy those ice cream cravings. Even paleo aside, the fact that it is just fruit, water and a bit of sugar makes this a much healthier dessert option (great for lactose and gluten allergies as well). Huge selection of toppings and they alternate their flavors every few weeks too. My only complaint would be that there arent more locations in the city!
Ive always liked Chloes frozen pops, so to have a chance to get their soft serve at an actual storefront was a real treat. Definitely worth stopping by if youre in the area. Full disclosure: my sister works for Chloes, but this fact does not diminish the excellence of their products.
Hubby works down the block so I came in with girls for something cold. The staff was amazing. My daughter couldnt decide what to have and the girl behind the counter was a lot more patient than I. The ice cream wS delicious and their homemade popsicles are to die for. But their little canned iced coffees were legit. Thank you!!!!!
I love love this. Im in Alabama and I wish that I was able to visit her shop I have family in NYC and told them about it well they say there at home with the shop. Im sad but I brought my mango pops from Publix and Im going to buy 6 boxes today at 5.00 a box. I am Vegan moved here from South Florida and Im trying to find my food but thanks Chloe for thinking about us in the small towns Blessings Empress.
I wandered over to Chloes Soft Serve with a few friends after hearing them rave about it. I thought I was walking into another generic froyo place, but I was surprised to hear that everything they make is just from fruit, water, and cane sugar. I was definitely skeptic at first, but I figured Id play along.I ordered a small pear flavor and just had it plain - they offer toppings, but I wanted to try out the flavor by itself. I was surprised - it really did taste like I was biting into the fruit!
I am really dissapointed at this place. It is supposed to be a natural gluten free place and when I asked the workers what the waffles are made of they didnt know. One of them nicely showed me the pakage of the waffle mix and my surprise was when I read the ingredients and the first one was WHITE WHEAT FLOWER, excuse me??????????? That is false advertisement!!!!! And that is play with people s health!!!
A healthy froyo option? Yes, please! This soft serve is made from your favorite fruits (including apple, banana, blood orange, blueberry, mango, and more!), water, and a touch of sugar! Of course, you can always order the least healthy option like me and get the Crunchy Salty sundae if youre having a bad day/you just feel like it.
I love ice cream, but sometimes its a little too sweet. I also love fruit. Fruit AS soft serve?? BRILLIANT! The flavor is always very defined and strong, so you know that its really all fruit! So far, Ive had pear and pumpkin--both were amazing. Its a bit pricey, but thats to be expected since its all fruit. Even so, I think its worth the price.

2021-08-18My favorite place whenever I want a sweet healthy cold treat. My favorite soft serve flavors there is dark chocolate and mango. Last time I tried their smoothie and I dont remember the whole name but something with orange juice. Not my cup of tea. I wouldnt recommend their juice but you guys should try their soft serve. Its non dairy one and taste fresh.

2021-08-15Vegan and gluten free soft serve! Reasonable prices and generous portions, pictured is their smallest size. We tried the mango soft serve plain which was phenomenal and refreshing. The chocolate soft serve wasn’t the best but it was banana based so it depends on preference.

2022-07-19The mango sorbet is refreshing, tastes like ripe mangos, and also comes with one topping. But its $8 now... not sure its worth it when theres so many places in the area that also sell good mango sorbet for cheaper

2021-08-17After some heavy dinner, came by here for a refreshing dessert. definitely tasty just like many other eaters have commented. The portion was large and sharable between 2-3 people (a med or large size).

2021-09-21First didnt realize it was nice cream which is fine I just wasnt expecting bananas in my dark chocolate soft serve (it wasnt very chocolatey at all Ive made better chocolate nice cream at home- try putting some espresso powder in it). What I really wasnt expecting was for the soft serve to leak through the cone in less than 10 minutes when its less than 75° out and the cone to structurally collapse in my hand. Also they were out of napkins so I was left with melted bananas all over my hand until I found a bathroom. I barely got to eat a quarter of it before it just fell apart I my hands.

2022-06-07Best soft serve, but worse service I have ever experienced. Took over 10 minutes to order in person. The worker was only prioritizing online orders. This place has gone down hill and they are constantly out of chocolate. Absolutely terrible experience.

2022-05-11I walked in and the people working there , a man named Ethan was extremely rude and didn’t help at all. It took 10 minutes to order , and another 15 minutes to wait for my ice cream even though the store was empty. All I did was ask politely how long it’ll take for my order and he rudely answered me “wait your turn” with attitude. The woman working with him made my order wrong and didn’t want to add a fourth topping , she told me I was only allowed to put 3 toppings however when I ordered I wasn’t told that. Both Ethan and the woman refused to add chocolate sauce to my order , and continued being rude even after I offered to pay extra for the chocolate he still didn’t allow me to have some . Very unprofessional and rude people , not an enjoyable place to go to. Don’t recommend!!!!

2021-05-01Refreshingly delicious! I came here during a humid 70 degree weather, and ordered the Berry Wild which is a strawberry soft serve, with strawberries, blackberries and granola. The soft serve itself already had the right flavor, and the berries did add a tanginess to it, though after a while it did get overwhelming. Next time I think I’ll get the soft serve with granola only.Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a healthier alternative to ice cream and frozen yogurt, and it is indeed refreshing.

2022-03-27Love trying the monthly flavors. Its become a thing to check each month and make a date night out of it with my hubs. Their OG flavors are great as well! My favorite ice cream shop in SoCal. Hands down!

2019-02-08This place is amazing. There fruit creams are good. You can get all the toppings you want and get mix two fruit creams together. I really like the pineapple and mango. But the banana is good too. The place is not pricey at all. Lasty the staff was nice and they let you try out samples before making your purchase. This is a good place.
