Chopt Creative Salad Co. in other cities:
I got the Southwest Hatch Chile Pork bowl with Cauliflower Rice, and it was pretty mediocre. The cauliflower rice was extremely overcooked and mushy, and also steaming hot (in contrast to the cold veggies/room temp ingredients). My bowl had a layer of soupy water sitting at the bottom which was pretty unappetizing. Guy behind the counter kept checking the menu to see what to put in my bowl (they only have like 10 different bowls), and gave me the wrong dressing. Overall didnt feel too happy about paying $15 for a mediocre 400-calorie bowl.
Fresh ingredients but workers are very cheap with sides. I paid 15 for a salad in which the bowl wasn’t even full to the top. And 1.00 extra for one teaspoon of cheese. A rip off. Do not go here u less you want a ridiculously overpriced meal. 15 for a salad with no drink or side snack is crazy.
The salad is fine if you go collect it in person, but I have to order delivery from here with coworkers a lot and they ALWAYS get the order wrong. And it frequently takes longer than an hour to arrive. I try to be understanding, but it’s so frustrating to pay for something and not receive it. They don’t even give you a fork or the bread if you ask for it 80% of the time. Do not order avocado and expect to get it.
Been a couple times now for takeout and whilst the salads are bountiful (big!) The service is messy and disorganized. I counted 14 employees but there was still a line with impatient customers, and this was during off peak hours. Many (though not all) looked annoyed and bored. At one point there was only one person chopping the salads with about five waiting for him. After a few minutes, someone finally came to help. I couldnt quite figure out what all 14 employees were doing. The bread they offer is a plasticy tasting section of a wrap, and on my second visit they forgot my side of almonds. The salads themselves are full of flavor and definitely a good value if you can exert patience while ordering.Oh - a plus for having an app you can use to pay.
Always packed during lunchtime, but they are experts at making the line move fast. My favorite thing about chopt is their rotating destination salads. The destination rotates every 2 months, and recently theyve done New Mexico (full of dishes centered on those amazing green chiles) and the Pacific Northwest (salads and grain bowls with beautiful pieces of salmon)
I love chopt and think your salads are sooo good. I went there this past weekend and am saddened by the amount of single use plastic used there. Do you think about using the compostable bowls/cutlery/cups etc - Or selling an option to people that they can bring back each day if they are regular customers? This would make me a more loyal customer, even if it meant prices going up.
I love their salad, but sometimes it might cost $13 and other times $19 for the same salad combination and I hate when that happens.Even high end restaurant vandal on Bowery with 20 times your rent doesn’t charge $19 for a salad..I’m working in the neighborhood and it’s not the best advertisement
The worse salad? Place you can eat at!! Staff is so rude and not friendly: condescending. Not even in dress code- a football jersey? And she the manager- she wanted to argue over giving me half an avacado when it was barely a quarterWhat a messIt’s was like trying to get into a nightclub when your name isn’t on the list
Great place for lunch! The salad is huge and they have a large variety of dressings and theyre very kind about substituting items for others on the menu. The only down side is the line. If you hit the line right at the start of the 12noon rush it could take you 20 mins just to get to the counter to order.
Easy to see right off of Spring Street. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities. Public Restroom. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Nice staff. We will most likely be going back.Thank you to the owner for responding. We look forward to patronizing your establishment again soon.ESJ
Unsure if I wanted to write this review but I normally come a few times a week since I work at Pink. But this Saturday I just felt so unwelcomed to Chop’t, that night I ordered my usual and the girl chopping my salad had such an attitude and I felt like most of my salad that she was chopping was just on the floor. Unsure as to why every Saturday this CHOPT has been unorganized but you guys should re-evaluate your customer service. I would never be unprofessional with a customer. Sticking to CHOPT on the weekdays!
If you are familiar with Chopt you will know what to expect. If you are not then prepare yourself for a great range of freshly made salads - a selection of ready designed ones or your own customised version. Ingredients are fresh and tasty as are the dressings and watching your order being chopt really helps whet the appetite. As ever with NYC portions, dont expect your salad to be a particularly light or small meal - to a UK eye the helpings are enormous.
Dear Chopt Salad Team,I hope this email finds you each well.I am emailing you today to congratulate you on a member at the Spring Street location. I worked on Elizabeth and Bleecker for a year and a team member by the name of George/Jorge has always been spot on when it comes to service. The attention to detail, in a service setting like such is so important, and I must say since my transition to a plant base diet you all have been helpful however George truly stands out.Consistency is key, and treating folks like us with the attention that George offers will continually have consumers, like me, coming back time and time again.Unfortunately my company has moved office locations since last year in September and Im not able to come to the Spring St location as much as Id like to, but hats off to George. It was great seeing him still doing what he does. Great addition to your team! All the best,Jonathan Antoshka
SERIOUSLY DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Last week I got a Palm Beach Salad with Shrimp from Chopt on Spring Street. I didnt think it tasted any funny, but the guy put so much dressing on I was not able to tell anyway.I got so severely food poisoned that I 3 days later had to go the the DR for the high fever and stomach pains I was experiencing, effecting my whole body. I was immediately admitted to the ER and am just now a full week later slowly getting back on my feet.I had never been this sick in my life and I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor, go wait in the line at Sweetgreen, your tastebuds will thank you and you will save yourself a grand MISERY.Chopt, I should have known better, but Goddamn.
Excellent choice for healthy food. This location is between the Soho district and litle italy, very well located. In this place the service is cordial and very friendly, always suggesting options to make the meal more attractive. The place is clean and very well maintained.

2021-09-06I had my sauce tossed in the salad instead of it being on the side. Probably should’ve had it on the side because I wouldn’t taste much of flavor in the soy ginger dressing. Chicken honestly didn’t taste like chicken, more like pork. And the crispy noodles on the top wasn’t crunchy but was soggy. As far as salads go, it has all the ingredients but collectively the salad was underwhelming.

2021-05-26These guys are a well-oiled MACHINE! Embarrassingly I stopped at Sweet Green around the corner first. Waited in line for 5 minutes and didn’t move. Came here, line was to the door, and I had my salad in LESS then 5 minutes! VERY impressive. (Salad was great too 😊)

2022-06-27Had an absolutely awful tasting cobb salad today. I use quotes because it tasted nothing like a cobb salad.

2021-05-28This is a real review. I went after work around 5-6pm to get salads for the family. The staff was rude when they shortchanged me of cheese and wanted to charge me for more cheese. Also, when I looked over at the greens... it was discolored and not fresh. Probably washed, left overnight, and brought back out....Youre a salad place, your greens need to be on point.Oh yeah, I bought two salads and somehow... while this staff member made me two salads, it was really one salad split in two containers. One was visibly under halfway full and the other wasnt even 2/3s full. With the attitude that I got after work, not necessary. If Im paying for my food, dont charge me two for one and an attitude on top of it. In the past, I would have given this place 5 stars because of the staff when I used to come here at any hour of the day but now, dont bother going until they manage themselves. My first bad review, get it right. Thank you!! To customer service since I see they do take these reviews seriously, please seriously take quality control over the store without telling us go to support. While you made extra money off of this order, you made an extra bad review as well.

2021-03-31Cleanly, quick, and receptive to the changes I asked for in my order. No dine-in option yet, but, this is a spot for casual quick eats anyhow, similar to Chipotle, so I understand. No complaints here & worth the price as the salads are HUGE!

2018-10-04This Chopt is much inferior in quality and service when compared to Empire State Building, just look at the quantity in my picture for $13, a rip off..!

2021-06-08Only reason I’m giving Chop’t a 5 star is because of the great customer service I received yesterday and how thoughtful I saw one of your employees treated the whole team to Starbucks. But I truly find it disgusting that they had to work in the hottest (heat wise) store in the city! It was unbearable and I was only on line for 5 minutes!!! I can only imagine how the employees felt. You could tell they were distress but they still gave me amazing service. I know Chop’t is one of the few companies in the city that truly care for their customers but I hope you truly care just as much for the employees!

2020-01-08For the category of eating options, this is a good one - fast casual / fast food. The folks behind the counter are affable and quick. Are salads more healthy than a Moes Burrito? I dunno. Ill pretend that they are. But I especially like the salad being chopped up. I like that eating experience, better. Flavor combos invite one to return many times to try them out. Ill be back.

2021-01-09Before it was the best spot to go too and the service was good and welcoming but now they’re super cheap and not to mention the girl was rude to me. My bowl was half empty like literally half empty! I wish i can post a pic, it’s a shame because it’s so good. :(

2017-09-14A great lunch standby for me. Consistent, good quality food and very nice staff. Also, you can get a salad as a wrap which is great if you arent always so keen on eating a bowl full of leaves. A little steep, but their app experience with the ability to order ahead (which is a huge time saver!!!) and the rewards is awesome.
