Totally good experience. Waitress was prompt pleasant and attentive. Food as always, great made to order as requested and served nice and hot.
Great breakfast spot with delicious food and reasonable prices. The inside hasnt been updated in a long time but I suppose thats part of its character. Stopped in to eat while driving through the area and was not disappointed.
I ordered a cheeseburger with fries with a side order of mayonnaise for my French fries. The cheeseburger was delicious. The diner was very inviting. The service was outstanding. This place was recommended by a bus driver the drives for Trailways. I am glad I went to this diner and if Im in the area again I will go back.
Id truly like to keep this place to myself but i cant. This is the best diner i have ever eaten in. Honest. The portions are more than generous and the cooks and wait staff are fantastic. Do yourself a flavor favor and eat at Chriss Diner.
I love Chris Diner, I usually go there for Breakfast or Lunch. The waiters are always nice and usually my food is right. Once in a while they get my order wrong but nothing to really complain about. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars aint not 5 is because I dont eat red meat. I feel like they should have an option for those that dont eat red meat when it comes to Breakfast sausage and bacon. Although I dont mind fry sandwich meat, I would prefer breakfast meat.
The Best Greasy Spoon in town!! Chris Dinner is a local staple. Theres a reason its always packed. Its highly affordable, the breakfast is great and the servings are plentiful. Wonderful staff, very warm and welcoming whenever we stop in. The only thing is that its cash only but they have an atm in the back that you can use for a surchage.
Delicious breakfasts at a downtown diner. Within walking distance of the Doubletree and other downtown hotels.Breakfast omelettes were filling on their own, nevermind the home fires and bread that accompanies it. Seating is a little cramped, but its worth it. A very popular place that satisfies.

A classic greasy spoon! Strangers feel like family. Hefty portions for the price - two flapjacks, two eggs, two sausage links, plus bottomless coffee for $8. Counter seats for solo diners. Sizzling flatop and chatting locals add to the ambience. Note, they close at 2pm on weekends. Dont miss it.

HUGE portions. I ordered 1 egg and toast and they sent 3 eggs and toast and hash browns and only charged me for 1 egg. “The guys don’t like to see any of the plate when they send food out”. Expect great tasting food for an incredible price with quick service! French toast/breakfast sandwich/pancakes/omelette all very good.
Found this place after dropping off my oldest at Suny Binghamton. Awesome food. Well prepared and quick. Staff and owners super friendly. Feels like dining with family. Very homey. Will definitely be back when we visit Binghamton again.

I was so nervous because I never go in sit down places by myself, but I was starving and looking for comfort food after taking a standardized test. I order quickly with the waitress, enjoyed my juice while waiting on my food, and when I realized how soon my bus was leaving, I asked for my food to go. The waitress was so kind and patient with me; Im autistic so trying to navigate a new place can be really frustrating. She didnt judge me for all my questions and overpoliteness. They dont take credit/debit cards but the atm fee is only 2.50. The diner was very nice though and I wish I could have sat and stayed. It was wonderful to find something so close to the bus station.The food itself was really good! I got a veggie omelette (came with toast and lots of hash browns), a half order of bacon, and a small apple juice all for under $10!I have to come back to Binghamton soon, so Im excited to come here again and maybe have a chance to sit down.
The turkey club sandwich was excellent as was the rice pudding. Service was very good with friendly wait staff. Nice little hole in the wall place if you want true old fashioned dinner food. Prices are very reasonable.
Wow that is one busy diner. That tells you about how good the food is. Breakfast was great and the portions are big so hold off ordering extra items. The coffee is good but nothing special. When we got there the parking lot was full.

I visit from Cincinnati OH to go to Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville at least twice a year. Always make it a point to start the day with breakfast at Chris’. I usually order scrambled eggs, bacon home fries and toast. I like my bacon extra extra crispy. They ALWAYS do it perfectly. The service is outstanding, they never let your drink run out. The menu has a great variety and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend supporting this local business!

Ive been going to this place for years. While Ive seen many restaurants reduce their portion size, reduce the quality of their ingredients, or increase their prices over this same time period - They have stayed consistent! Chris Diner is still the same great place I began visiting many years ago :-) Kudos for staying awesome!

Great place, a lot of food, food taste good the salt was just right, place looks clean, worker were friendly but only the cook wear gloves. The caheir was handling money from all type of people and went straight to butter the bread .I was observing both of them and they were rubing their eyes, picking up all sort of things and touching the food. Hope the boss sees this and make changes cause I want to go back.

The food is worth every penny. They give a great meal and there fries are perfect crispy outside then soft and tender on the inside. I had the Hot turkey sandwich which had lots of flavor.

My wife and I stumbled on this diner a few years ago... Fell in love with the food and the staff...Only problem is, it is over an hour away from our house... Turns out, not a problem as we dont care...lol...Totally worth the drive. Once a month or so, when we get a hankering for Chris home cooked food, we take a road trip and enjoy the great food, and insanely nice staff.

This place was really great. Please do note that it only takes cash, but that does not make it bad at all. The server was very helpful. The food was very tasty and the price for the amount they give is outstanding. For two massive breakfasts it was only 17 dollars. I would recommend this place.

I always have a great experience here. The people are always nice and welcoming. I’m always happy when I come back and get to enjoy the amazing food and the experience all the workers offer as soon as you walk in the door. I went to the diner very early one morning and there wasn’t many people here and I sat at the counter near the owner Chris who is also the cook. He made delicious food and indulged in a good conversation with me and other customers. The food is not only delicious here but you most certainly get your money’s worth on food. They give out more than generous portions and as they say “you never go home hungry”.Jenna
I live 250 miles from Binghamton but make it a point to get to Chris Diner a couple times every year. Great food, excellent prices, and traditional diner atmosphere. They treat you like a local even if they dont know you.

Wow where to begin. How do two people come in before a group of six who order after us, and they get their food before we do? We waited over 40 minutes for eggs... eggs!!!!! The blatant disrespect of attending to that group while the two of sat neglected waiting for an order that takes maybe 10-15 minutes to make at any diner was unparalleled. The food never came came, because hitting 45 minutes ended up being our cue to leave. It was not even busy. I am appalled at having been treated so poorly at a diner where I had previously enjoyed dining at. And as we make to walk out we get no apology or anything from our waitress. 0/5 horrendous experience.
Easily my favorite diner in town. Ive always received amazing service, even though the servers have so many tables. Pricing and portions are excellent. Its easy to see why its been open for so long- the owners do an excellent job. There can be long waits on weekend mornings, but once youve been there, its easy to understand why. The front windows are one of the best places to see flyers for local events, both at the colleges and for independent groups.
I have always liked to eat there and always left full. Apparently I havent eaten there enough to no they dont do. Credit cards. I left hungry If not for that I would have done five stars.

Real old school diner with excellent, friendly service. Only had breakfast here several times but the entire homemade menu looks fantastic. The price is right and the coffee is strong and fresh. Two people can expect to pay around $10 for breakfast and substitutes are not expensive at all. Definitely a great alternative to the cookie cutter chain diners.

We went for a quick Sunday breakfast completely forgetting it was the day after parade day. Diner was completely packed yet we barely waited 10 minutes for a table. My coffee never got below a 1/2 cup despite how busy it was and food was excellent.
Nice local diner. Waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was good. Homemade mac n cheese was really good. Only down side was the floor was a little dirty and needed to be swept. I would still go back. Reasonably priced and good service.

I would say about twice the amount of food and quality of food that you might expect by looking at the price on the menu. Cash only establishment with friendly service and quick food. I ordered the breakfast with eggs and hash browns and toast and a half order of bacon, I was pleasantly surprised to find the coffee was included and the already low price. Halfway through eating the meal I thought about how I wish I had ordered an extra egg, the next forkful of potatoes uncovered another egg already on my plate. Honestly dont know if you could ask for more then that. I would say but this is the best diner that Ive been to in a long time and a long distance

I cant wait to go back. Its a bit cramped but its homey and still beats any other place I have been locally.
My husband eats here every day after his cab shift. He asked Mama to make him a special dish of spaghetti, crushed broccoli, tons of garlic and some butter and she did, lovingly. So I had a taste and WOW. You would pay $30 for this dish at a touristy restaurant in Manhattan. Everything tastes homemade, the coffees good, staff are wonderful. I cant say enough about the regular cook, no matter what you order its done to perfection, from club sandwiches to full meals.
Angela, our waitress, brought my friend and I drinks and we ordered meatloaf and chicken salad sandwiches, soup, slaw, and fries. Everything was delicious. Bathroom was clean. Very reasonably priced. At 1:30, quiet.
This place is exceptional!!! From the staff to the food..... you dont only get these great things you also get some great family entertainment. The food is prepare right in front of you with no screens or slips to read off. These are seasoned short order cooks from the old school. Not sure what happened when we went for the first time..food not good. We were passing through and saw all the great reviews and stopped for breakfast. All the food seemed like it was reheated .. definitely not fresh. Pancakes just crumbled apart. Potatoes and sausage overcooked like it was prepared the day before and reheated.. very disappointed

Traveling to Syracuse from SC and stopped in for “brunch.” It was delicious. The staff were so friendly and we got exactly what we asked for. Not only that it was PACKED and they were taking to go orders. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Binghamton you have a gem!
Tuesday and thursday are sausage gravy and biscuit days. Dont miss these menu items. A great small location, friendly staff. HORRIBLE ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE. I PAID 21 DOLLARS FOR FOOD WITH NO FLAVOR THEY COOK WITH NOTHING NO, SALT PEPPER, OR SPICE.. NOW I AM A BLAND FOOD EATER SO FOR ME TO SAY THIS IS BAD. TOAST BURNT BAGEL BURNT, COFFE WAS NOT COFFEE IT WAS WATER I COULD SEE THROUGH THE COFFE POT.. I ORDERD a steak that was less then a eigth inch thick so thin that it couldnt be cook to medium rare like i asked.. and the the home fries were mush. Absolute mush.. all of it was disgusting they should be ashamed to serve that food.

Ive been going to Chriss for years. The staff is second to absolutely none. They ROCK!!! Just went the other day for breakfast sandwich & very pleasantly surprised by a sweet kindness by one of the staff. It doesnt get better than this. I speak from experience. The staff & food are EXCELLENT🌞.

Food is excellent and portion size to price ratio is excellent. The only reason it is not a 5 star is because they still only take cash. They do have an atm on site but this day and age I dont appreciate having to pay atm fees because they dont take cards.

My boyfriend and are are driving home to FLA via I-81 and stopped here for a meal. As small business owners we ALWAYS try to patronize like businesses. Chriss did not disappoint. Extensive menu for such a low price. I had breakfast-turkey cheese omelet and he had bacon cheeseburger. The plate were so abundant-service was friendly and accommodating. If you live here or are just passing through I strongly recommend a stop in here-enjoy.

Food portions were very generous and extremely reasonable regarding price. We were seated quickly and served promptly. Very pleased with the overall experience.
Highly overrated. Its the best diner in town, simply because it is the only diner in town. Food is overpriced and extremely greasy, and flavorless. Youre better off going to Ihop or Dennys- they are cheaper and the food is consistently mediocre, rather than consistently terrible.
Standard diner fare, well prepared with great service. This is a small local diner that seams to have a loyal following. Great food & service with a smile will win me over every time and this place didnt disappoint.
Far and above the best diner in the area. They are welcoming, the food is quick, tastes great, and you can see it being made for you. Cash only but they have an ATM inside. Highly recommended, keep an eye out for their daily specials.

Good service, although my food wasnt incredible. They dont have maple syrup, which is odd. They only had Smuckers Breakfast Syrup which is bad. Not good for French toast. My friend had a sandwich that looked good though.

It was my first time going there and i was pretty disappointed. I ordered pancakes and French toast to go. When i got back to my job there waa no butter or syrup. Also the french toast had no cinnamon. So all i taste is the egg. The only thing i was able to eat was my home fries. Im very disappointed 😞
Super friendly staff! I was stuck in Binghamton for a few hours, and the bus station wasnt open, so I found this hidden gem. I asked if I could stay there until the station opened, and the owner was super nice and said it wasnt a problem. All of my stress quickly melted away as soon as I started eating my delicious breakfast. The hot chocolate is to die for, by the way! Definitley recommend this place!
The best diner in the tri-city area. One of the best diners I have ever visited (thats a lot). The portions are huge for the price and the food quality is outstanding as far as diners go. It can be a bit cramped and noisy due to hung-over college kids, but its worth it for the quality of food and the price.

This diner is great. The food the staff all perfect. The only issue , it is ALWAYS crowded.... We have been there at different times on different days and dude to schedules can simply not wait.

Good, quick service.French Toast, omelets, and home fries are all great!But the pancakes are usually an overcooked letdown.
My family was up in the area to visit Animal Adventure Zoo. The hotel didnt really have breakfast options for my daughter, and IHOP across the street is too expensive for what you get. Found Chris and glad I did. Good food and friendly staff for half the $$ of IHOP. Its obviously a neighborhood place with the regulars that came in, but there were some other out of towners there as well. Looking forward to coming here again on our next trip up to the area.

Literally disgusting. Dirt all over the floors and every table was disgustingly dirty. Not sure how this is rated about 1 star as this place us absolutely nasty inside and out. Take some pride in your establishment and clean it at least.

I love this place!!! The owners are amazing ppl family owned and they all work there. Huge plates, super cheap prices. Suggest breakfast omelettes and Fridays Mac n cheese and haddock.
Chris diner lost all service from me sense they were rude and disrespectful when I purchased a cup of coffee it was supposed to be bottomless and after 4 cups they wanted to charge me for every additional cup that is false advertising I reported them to the better business bureau they will never get my service again I found a new and better place I now go to dunkin dounuts on Upper Front Street to bad to sad you lost a really loyal customer.

Chris Diner is a small but very cozy place...everyone is treated like they are family...the food is delicious and plentiful...they serve breakfast all day and they have daily specials and homemade soups as well...the pancakes are light and fluffy AND as big as the plate they are served on...their meals are good old fashioned comfort food...prices are $-$$...you wont be sorry...

Driving through and they were the only ones open. I am glad to see that places like this still exist. Really cheap with great huge servings. Friendly staff and a casual atmosphere.

2022-02-20The food was delicious, service was quick, and the waitress was amazing. It was a full house when we were there Sunday, February 20 and she did not miss a beat. I believe her name is Maria, either way, above and beyond excellent service, and the person seating us accommodated our large group of 14.

Everyone eating at the bar was talking and chatting like they all were family. You should go here if you want the Binghamton breakfast experience.

2022-02-13This place as always was great, the food was good, came out really fast. It was clean friendly staff. Fair prices. We were next to the front door so the door was opened many times and it was cold out not much they can do. It was also loud inside. More the staff the customer I feel. But over all was really good and definitely plan on returning

2021-02-18I can see why this joint is always packed with hungry BU students-inexpensive, stout portions, good quality food, personable waitresses, and ample parking.My go-to is a Western omelet, well done home fries, and wheat toast. Chriss nails the details; the home fries were perfectly well done, the wheat toast finished on the grill and buttered to the crust, and the omelet tender and flavorful. Bottomless coffee, hot and strong.

2021-07-02Cash only! Now that I have shared that public service announcement with you, I shall proceed with my review of this establishment. Recently, I happened into a diner in Ohio with high expectations of the food I might experience. After all, the diner was legendary for its area. Well, it was disappointing, to say the least. Back home in New York State, however, I find this diner, Chris in Binghamton. I suppose the picture that I posted says at all. Amazing! Chris restored my faith in diners and made me proud to call myself a new Yorker! Bravo Chris!

Theyre waitresses go above and beyond for all of their patrons. Its the perfect breakfast spot in the heart of Binghamton🏅🏆🏅. Great menu, affordable prices. Good🍳🥓 wholesome food! Whenever were there I like to leave a nice tip. I like to add up our plates, cups, spoons and fork. 🍽🍴☕️🍽🍵However many we have thats how much we tip. It puts a smile on the servers face and I also secretly love topping everyone elses tip💸. Havent seen anyone top me yet.😎
