Had the best experience at this salon! Christie let me come in right before the salon closed for the night and stayed late to finish my nails. The salon itself is adorable and has a great atmosphere. Everyone was super nice! Christie did such great job with the shape and the color of my nails - and the price is so reasonable for nyc! Definitely recommend coming here!
I was on vacation in NYC and decided to go to Christie’s nail salon because of the good reviews. I was a walk in customer and only had to wait 15 minutes. Christie herself did my nails and I’m super happy with them! She was very precise and friendly and I can absolutely recommend her cute little salon! Everytime!
I got a wonderful Gel Powder Dip manicure from the owner Christie. She was professional, meticulous, and we had a great conversation! My nails came out beautifully. She took such care filing them and I am so happy with the finished product. Thanks again Christine, I’ll definitely be back!!
Review long overdue: I did a Gel manicure and regular pedicure. Overall the experience was okay. Not very welcoming, to be honest. The gel manicure came out very nice but unfortunately damaged my nails, I still have the indents, and my nails are weak. The manicurist used the drill and removed my cuticles without soaking my hands. ( I know, I should have said something). As for the pedicure, it smudged by the time I got home. When I called, they were good about offering to redo the pedicure. But when I went back, I was told it happened because “I asked for three coats,” which I always do when I go to my go-to nail place, and to make it worst, she just repainted over it. At this point, I was just over this place. It wasn’t even worth complaining anymore. I would never go back and will not recommend it.
What a terrible experience I had. I work near this nail salon. I had been there once or twice before for a Mani and pedi. I decided to make an appointment on my day off, traveled from Brooklyn all to have a terrible job done by Christie. Initially I wanted my nails done by a different tech, but unfortunately she wasnt there. I explained to Christie that I was getting acrylic nails for my wedding. You would think she would try her best to make my nails look incredible, well that was not the case. I felt rushed and she kept picking up the phone to make other appointments. Granted that wasnt as bad because it was her and someone else at the moment. The problem was that Christie was rushing so she can take someone else as if I was there for free. I paid alot of money for a poor job. I wanted to go speak to her, but im sure I wont get my money back and that is ALL I want at this point. Because I wasnt happy and I was pressed on time I had to go to a different nail salon to fix my nails and pay MORE money. And lord what a difference that was.As I said initially all you can do is give me my money back. I will never give you business again!
I picked this place because it had good reviews and I wanted my manicure to look good before vacation. I am so disappointed. I wish Christie or someone experienced had done my nails, because this is the worst manicure Ive ever had. This is just form yesterday.I didnt want to leave a bad review because the people are nice but this was not money well spent, and the pictures speak for themselves. The nail tech who did them made the shape uneven, didnt even ask me if I liked it, left air bubbles, and the coats on my left hand werent even enough to cover my nails. Pictures are posted on Yelp.
I always like to have my nails done, and Im a floral designer, so, its not easy, but not impossible!!! Who said that who works with flowers cannot have beautiful, long, natural nails?. You just need to take care of them. Well, Ive been in a lot of Nail Salon in Manhattan and I have to say that I definitely felt in love with Christies Salon. Its a small, intimate, lovely place, they are beyond precise and accurate and the prices are extremely fair. I think I finally found my favorite nail place in the city!!!. To all the nails lovers out there...youre gonna love it!!! I totally recommend it. xx
I needed a place to take of gel nails and start my own nails on a healthy path. Christie took care of me and she was amazing. She did an excellent job and was so lovely. The price was very reasonable and I am so pleased with the outcome. I will most definitely return!
My first experience was last week Thursday and I loved it!! My nails are beautiful I had so many compliments! Thank you Carmen and the whole staff for your warm and comfortable hospitality! Its a very chic nail salon I love it. I recommend everyone to go there if you want an amazing experience. This is my new home!!
Im visiting NYC from Vancouver B.C. and needed a fill plus a nail repair today. After reading the reviews, I opted to go there and am so very glad I did! They took me right away and the ladies were very personable and sweet. My nails look fantastic! The price was on par with other salons. Definitely a 5-star experience. Thank you.
Took my mom from AZ here. Very nice. I payed $40 for dip powder in queens. They charged me $60 here but did it a whole different way. Very PROFESSIONAL.My moms was $90 for acrylics fill in 🥴🥴 (yellow) for little design the price was way too much. I enjoyed everything though. Thank you. I Will be back
Visiting Manhattan for our grandsons neuroblastoma surgery and our stay was being extended. I just needed to get my nails done. Google searched for a location near me and found great reviews here! I generally dont leave a review but I had a wonderful experience with Christie and her team and had to share the high rating! And to top it off they are providing polish and massages at the Ronald McDonald House tonight!!! ❤️ Thanks Christie!
I read amazing reviews so I thought I would try it out. They have kind staff but I paid extra for the next gen nails which are supposed to last well over two weeks. 8 days later my nails are already chipping and cracking one nail even broke in half. Waste of money when I could of paid less for gel and had it last a lot longer. Disappointed to say the least.
I would have considered coming back here until they rushed me out the door only allowing my toe nails to dry for 7 minutes. Smudged nails as the girl was trying to put on my sandals because they were closing. I understand your closing up but you shouldn’t have taken me in the first place if you couldn’t wait the 15-20 mins for my nails to dry. Very disappointed. Will take my business elsewhere.
I found this place from a google search. Came from the Bronx to the upper east side only to be disappointed. The place is cute but really small and they get busy. And if you’re doing mani pedi and the mani tables are full they will do your mani where you were sitting for the pedi. I paid before getting the mani and then waited for my nails to dry. While I was waiting the woman comes up and tells me the services didn’t include tip as if I didn’t know that already from the signs they have up. I said I know and the thing is I wasn’t getting up to leave or moving to indicate that I was about to heas out. I was still drying my nails. Minutes later I ask for a $5 change and when she comes back with change, she tells me minimum. for mani and pedi is $6 tip. Like okay I get I know how to do the math your sign says cash tip 20% and up like Jesus I can read. If you have a new face you should try to keep that customer and treat them well and not look so greedy.
The place is super small and tight. Have to do acrobatics just to move around in this place. I came at 5pm so it was busy but they said no wait. They started my mani, asked me to pay then without finishing the mani asked me to go for pedi because its busy. They said they will finish it later. I went and during the pedi couldnt even stretch my leg out all the way for the scrub because the girl had no room to move back. If you are over 59 dont even bother. The pedi chair does not even move back. I was so uncomfortable and cramped. Pedicure itself was subpar and when I gave the tip the girl didnt even say thank you. Just took the money and moved on. Will not be returning! Honestly, theres like 50 other nail salons within walking distance. Will be exploring other options.

2022-06-27I came here instead of my usual place because I needed to get a new mani for my birthday the next day and called ahead to see if they had availability before coming in. When I got there, I waited for 25 mins and was late to my siblings graduation dinner because of it but thats not the biggest deal. The nail tech I initially had was very nice but she could not file my nails to the shape or cut them to the same length and all of them were completely even more lopsided than the middle finger and she also did not know how to do a basic french tip . When I tried to communicate with her about it, it was clear that she didnt understand what i was attempting to tell her to fix. Eventually, I believe Christie and her switched and although Christie was quick to paint my nails, she would rush me to put my hands under the lamp before i could check to see if the polish was even. This resulted in uneven nails not only in length and shape, but also the design. My gel manicure also chipped and lifted within a week which never happens with my nails. I did tip well because I appreciated the effort and the nice demeanor, but I will not be coming back here again. It was overpriced for having the customer guide the first nail tech and the quality of the work.

2022-06-13I am new to the area ! I made an appt at a different place and had a bad experience. Luckily I found Christie and was extremely happy with her work. It has now been a few months and I am still continually satisfied with Christie and the rest of her staff’s work. They are the best ! I recommend this establishment 10/10 !!

2022-06-10Got a pedicure here a little over two weeks ago for the first time because the normal place I go to opens a bit later on weekends and I wanted to get this done for a wedding later that day.The place was very cramped and I felt rushed throughout the service. The woman providing the service was not gentle at all with my feet and I had to tell her at one point to be more gentle because she was hurting me. One toe in particular she kept getting too close to the skin. The tools that they were using on me were already in a case and I would assume were not sterilized. I did not see any sterilization boxes or individually wrapped tools that are disposable (as many nail salons now have).A few days later after showering, I noticed that the toe that was the most pain had a little growth coming in underneath the toenail. I tried at home remedies first, but then it started getting bigger so I bought wart removing patches from Target. I ended up going to a dermatologist who said that the most probable cause of the growth/wart under my toenail was from the dirty tools used at the nail salon. The next couple of weeks, I need to get treatments done in order to have this removed. Luckily, I have good insurance. I wanted to post this as a warning to those who choose to go get a pedicure here. Make sure that that tools are sterilized or bring your own tools. I am very disappointed by what has happened and will not be returning.

2022-06-29I work in the area and decided to call because I was great need for a manicure. Although, I did not have an appointment Christie accommodated me. I was very thankful for that!Christie is always accommodating and her entire staff is always polite. It is better if you make reservations prior to, in order to be seen during your slot time. They do welcome walk-ins but scheduled clients get priority.Ive had two different nail techs and the work was consistent. I love coming her.Plus***Their gel is a great quality. My last gel manicure was June 14th and my nail just chipped/pelled on one corner on the 26th. Im a nurse, and their gel has held up after multiple hand washes per day! I 1000% recommend this salon.

2022-04-21I was extremely excited to visit Christie’s Nails, seeing some of her beautiful art online. However I was underwhelmed with the experience. The Salon is extremely dirty, nail clippings all over the floor, unclean manicure stations and tools. The manicurist I had was extremely unprofessional. Instead of using acetone to remove my gel polish she used an electric nail file thinning the bed of my nails to the point of it being painful. If I could give less stars I would. Do yourself a favor and go to any of the other nail salons around the corner.

2021-05-06Great gel manicure and beautiful ped. Christie helped pick out the perfect colors and is incredibly knowledgeable about colors, up to date on information regarding how trends and what’s best for nail care. Her assistant did my nails beautifully and was very kind. It’s a small space, but they take care of everyone with care and respect. Can’t wait to go back.

2022-03-26Not only did my nail crack 10 minutes after walking out (Which I’ve seen others post about this) She demanded me in front of everyone to tip more… I tipped what I had and my nails weren’t worth $200 AT ALL. I’m all for tipping and will tip huge amounts based on service but she did NOT do a good job on my nails. I verbally told her I wasn’t happy and she didn’t care at all. Take your money elsewhere if you want un cracked nails and a pedicure you’d actually like. Its thousands of great salons in NYC
