Angel was super helpful and delivered my order on the same day. I called from a different city to send flowers to friends as a thank you, and she asked me good questions to make sure she got the bouquet right! The friends absolutely loved the flowers, the photos I saw were beautiful too- will definitely recommend and order again!
For my birthday, my husband took me to a Chinese tea ceremony at Chrysanthemum led by Ken. It was fantastic! Ken is an expert in all things tea: the various kinds, how to brew and pour, how to taste, and the significance and history of the tea ceremony itself. He curated the entire experience, sharing his calligraphy and poetry alongside his rare and fine teas. We were struck by the time and care he took with us--we felt like honored guests and will be sure to return again soon!We highly recommend the Chinese tea ceremony at Chrysanthemum. Its a unique and unforgettable experience.
Wow. The owner of this place is such a wonderful person. Listen to me guys. If you want great flowers for a date; go here and not a Bodega . Ladies dont love a whole thing of roses and I was able to make a great arrangement of fall colors. It was exactly what I was looking for. Great positive vibes and conversation with the owner cherry on top.
I am not one to EVER write a negative review, but I feel compelled too in this situation. Angel was awesome to work with but quoted 1 price for 3 cosages and a boutonniere; wound up upcharging me by $15 and then the final products, though they looked rudimentary for the price (but sweet), fell apart within 5 - 10 minutes of the girls wearing them for prom. Flowers wilted as well. Unfortunately, will not be going back for further business. I did send her feedback but sadly, no response. I would have been better off making them myself.
I came here on mothers day, bought a beautiful flower bouquet, and I fell in love with the place. Angel is really sweet and has created a welcoming, relaxing, and overall lovely atmosphere where you can buy flower arrangements, potted plants, teas, and homemade chocolates.P.S. Try giving Angel a call before you show up.
I called ahead (2 hours or so) and Angel (the owner) was enthusiastic and incredibly helpful putting together a beautiful arrangement for my wife’s birthday. this is not a carnations and roses run of the mill shop. great assortment of flowers, plants, and unique pieces of trees and other hardy elements that create arrangements that feel like they were pulled from a forest glade. highly recommend. AND they have tea.
The flowers we got are just gorgeous, and angel was so responsive and punctual and thoughtful for such a high quality arrangement for my anniversary. My wife - who is very picky - was overjoyed and so impressed with the amazing selection of flowers, vase and adornments. Thank you!
Angel at Chrysanthemum always steers me in the right direction in selecting flowers for my restaurant. She knows exactly what will complement our ambience, and her sense of aesthetic is excellent. Moreover, shes just such a gracious store owner. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for flowers.
A close friend of mine recently moved to the neighborhood that Angel’s flower shop is located in and when I went to her place, I noticed a beautiful vase of dried flowers. She mentioned Angel’s place up the street so the following weekend I checked it out. Angel talked to me about all of her gorgeous flowers (she has fresh and dried, but I was interested in dried) and asked me a lot of questions to suggest ones would work the best (I came with photos of my living room). She even told me to come back with the vases I wanted to use and worked with me for over an hour to make sure we got it right since she designs them for you as well.I am very happy with them and I can’t recommend her enough. She also sells teas that have helped me with my sleep issues. Also: just check out her shop if you are in the area; it is cool space and she is always educating you on the different flowers in her shop. Go!!! I plan to go back to purchase more for friends and family. Enjoy.

2022-03-20Pure magic!I attended a Chinese Tea Ceremony two weeks ago. It was like nothing I ever experienced. Angel is an incredible florist and Ken the TEA MASTER. They are warm and welcoming kind souls. I tasted what seemed like sunshine in a cup. Notes still bouncing on my tongue. There is beauty in knowing I might never have this one of a kind delicacy again. Ken shared his poems and his art with us. His knowledge of tea blew me away. Patron this establishment, book a tea ceremony you won’t regret it!

2022-03-13I joined a Chinese tea ceremony in the flower shop. We drank fantastic, authentic Chinese teas for a few hours with Ken Lo, the store owners husband and an experienced tea master. If youre looking for a unique experience or a relaxing afternoon, his deep knowledge of tea, entertaining stories and thoughtful tea inspired poetry are worth checking out.

2022-03-15I am still mulling over my tea experience with Sifu Ken and his wife Angel at their lovely flower and tea shop near Prospect Park. What was supposed to be two hours in length happily stretched to four on a Sunday afternoon, filled with conversations about philosophy, poetry, and of course, exquisite teas.Sifu Ken is a wealth of knowledge, and created a warm, welcoming environment for me and my friends to learn about the complexities, aromas, and flavors of truly good tea. He took us on a journey of not just tasting, but experiencing the tea in a way that felt so novel. Sifu Ken curated the rare teas, some pulled from his personal, hard-earned collection. Over the course of multiple brews, the clouds in the sky cleared up and rays of sunlight filtered through the front window, reflecting the rich golden undertones in one special tea type, Eastern Beauty. Overall, this was a unique experience, and I feel very lucky to have done it. My friends and I left Ken and Angels shop feeling revitalized and centered (feelings that are difficult to muster up before the start of another work week!). I cant wait to go back again soon.

2021-12-08Angel is far and away the loveliest shop owner I have ever come across. Above and beyond. Beautiful flowers. Incredible eye. So much fun to work with Angel on arrangements of any kind. The shop itself is a breath of fresh air too. Cannot recommend enough!

2018-05-31I requested a bouquet for my very best friends mother passing. I am in CT, and my friend is in Brooklyn. There were only a few hours to deliver it. It had to be light and somewhat cheery, but with something serious, a gravitas to it and it was for a man. I gave Angel that to go with and let her choose what to do. She offered to send me a picture of the bouquet before finishing the packaging (and it is posted). She also gave me a feeling of heart and soul in our conversations, it was something of a human encounter. As my friend has some Chinese in his family, I thought some special tea would be nice as well, as they have exotic teas and a teamaster at the store...what better for comfort? The delivery was on time and she notified me when it was done. After this difficult day, when I visit my friend in Brooklyn, I am going to this shop to try the Chinese tea ceremony in memory of Louise, the dear lady who passed away. Angel is the name of the lady who helped me, and brought so much to our family and his family. I could not ask for such a wonderful experience...from the heart of a sensitive person and a true floral artist.
