Chun Yang Tea in other cities:
First time trying this place and ordered a hojicha latte and oolong milk tea with pudding.Waited 15 minute for my drink which seemed very long despite not being that busy. Pretty standard tea drinks. Dont think it any special or better than Gong Cha or elsewhere thats cheaper. Expensive for two large drinks over $15.
My favorite bubble tea place in Chinatown so far. Little pricey compared to other places around; however, you are paying for the quality. Their teas are freshly made. The drinks are always consistent and excellent. Many of their drinks recommend 0% sugar.By far, my favorite drinks are the Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea and Red Bean with Milk.Every time I came, the cashiers are always patient and super helpful.Cards have a $10 minimum.
Ordered the Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea and Oolong Tea Latte with Pudding. Honey Osmanthus was good not overly sweet. I like that the girl taking the order said for that drink sugar level recommendations were 0 or 30% because of the honey. I opted for 0 and that was perfect. The oolong tea latte didnt look like the picture. Instead of the pudding on the bottom as 1 chunk, it was in pieces floating on top. $10 minimum for credit card.
This is one of my favorite boba places in Taiwan! When I found out they have one in NYC I was so happy and would always get one when Im in Chinatown! All their teas are so good, theres a special flowery taste of their sugar from the osmanthus, which they use in making all their tea. All their milk tea are made with real milk instead of milk powder(creamer). My favorite item is the oolong milk latte, the bitterness of oolong balances well with the osmanthus sugar and brings out a sweet and flowery flavor. 10/10 recommend this place!
I will caveat this review by saying that the drinks are very good, probably one of the best boba spots in Chinatown. However the wait time can be pretty bad. I’ve waited over 15 minutes for my drink on multiple occasions and once close to 30 minutes! The long waits coupled with the higher than average prices make me want to opt for another spot.
The service is really bad, there is no people ordering before us in the store,I ordered 2 drinks and they put us wait for 10 min, I guess they were making online order. I’m really confused why they don’t make order in the store first??? Also I noticed there is someone after us tries to order, but no one come in to take the order, the point is they have 3 staffs!
Foodie level boba milk tea place... This place specializes in high quality boba drinks, and features Oatly oatmilk and other high end substitutes. Theres really no space inside for more than 5-6 people, but during Covid, only 2 customers can be inside at once. Service is quick and attentive, but ordering ahead is recommended to avoid any waiting. Prices are commensurate with the level of quality.... So this place has prices that are higher than other boba places, but you get better quality of ingredients here.

2022-01-26Milk tea lovers, have you try Chun Yang?Highlights of the menu:1. Fruit tea2. Milk tea with grass jelly3. Tea with cheese foamThis is one of many milk tea shops in New York that I gotta try. Fruit teas and milk teas are not too sweet or fatty but very light. Easy to drink because a lot of people love this kind of taste. Big size compared to other places is what I love about this place. I can walk around New York with a milk tea in my hand!

2022-02-12The server was super friendly and courteous! The boba is great but not the best, at least for what we tried - the black sugar milk tea.Definitely going to try the lemonade - that looks amazing!

2021-10-14Oolong tea is very good. Bubbles and puddings are just regular. I will recommend people try with the fruit/lemon/flower with oolong.

2021-09-04Ordered a delivery, received a damaged item and drink spilled. At first, I did not understand why the drink was spilled. They all seemed to be well packaged. Until I took the brown sugar bubble tea out, I realized why.Look at the HOLE in the lid!!!How can you just put a tape over the hole and wish the problem to be solved? I just do not understand the logic here.Really disappointed.

2022-03-16This spot has really unique flavors. My brother and I shared their #1 flavor, the honey osmanthus oolong tea with tapioca and cheese foam and 30% sweetness level. To us, we docked down one star because it was a tad on the sweet side even though we did 30% sweetness. The cheese foam made it extra rich too.The shop is quaint and intimate, so its more of a takeaway spot. May or may not return for next time.

2020-10-13We visited Chun Yang Tea in Flushing a few months ago and the experience wasn’t so good. The drink was not as tasty as other bubble tea brands. We decided to give it another try and we had the Cold Brown Sugar Pearl with Fresh Milk. The ice and sugar was fixed and not adjustable. It was much better this time especially for the balance of brown sugar and milk. Their pearl still wasn’t cooked the way we prefer, which was too soft.
