Sprawling park with wide open spaces and areas along Black Creek to enjoy the view or fish. Ice Rink in the winter provides cold weather fun. I grew up in this area and always appreciated the size of it and abilities to do a wide variety of things. Broken into several areas along the creek and adjacent to a public golf course.
The park is always clean and well maintained. There is a boat launch and plenty of room to park. The creek is beautiful, there is a descent amount of of path cleared to walk creekside. A large field there to play it in. Plenty of woods and water-ways to explore. My family has enjoyed all it has to offer for years now, check it out for yourself. You wont regret it I bet.
Beautiful park, especially in the fall! There are many lodges, entrances, parking spaces, etc. They have soccer and baseball fields, as well as trails to walk your dog. There is a boat launch and Black Creek is a great place to kayak or canoe. Also, a disc golf course. Some of the parking lots could use some work, but I have seen some improvements taking place. Bathrooms are what you would expect at a town park, nothing fancy but adequate.
Nice little park, with dirt ramp access to Black Creek. You can paddle upstream for about 3 miles with a canoe or kayak, but only about 1.5 miles with a motorboat due to trees down across the creek. You can also go downstream to the dam in Churchville, but past that it becomes too shallow and rocky to navigate easily. Overall a scenic and secluded stretch of water with few road crossings.
Two friends and I went to Churchville Park last Saturday. We went expressly for disc golf, but there are also soccer fields, tennis courts, pavilions with barbecue facilities to rent, and lots of nicely manicured space in this park. We had the disc golf course mysteriously all to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon in July with beautiful weather, go figure. Its a nice disc golf course with a mix of open and wooded holes, well maintained.
Great place for bike riding, dog walking and regular walking. Its a pretty large park with plenty of parking. But later in the afternoon near the front end of the park there seems to be alot of soccer games but its not that bad. The creek that runs through the park is great for fishing and canoeing. Although the road does have some very deep pot holes. Deffintly something to look out for if you are riding a bike. And there is plenty of bathrooms.
Wonderful, inexpensive county course. There are 27 holes. The easiest West course (9 holes) is always well maintained, but can be a little wet if recent rain. Great for beginners and only $10 walking. The other 18 holes, East course is more challenging with water coming into play on a variety of holes, but still only $12/9 holes. There is a putting/chipping green and an very nice grass driving range. Overall a great golf experience. Nice clubhouse with hotdogs/burgers available. Part of the Monroe County Parks courses, the other two being Genesee Valley and Durand Eastman.
I come here for the Disc Golf course. Its one of the better ones in Rochester if you ask me.Holes 2, 3, 4 and 7 you get closer to the tennis courts. Holes 15-18 arent marked very well. Easy to get lost. Fortunately theres 19 holes so even if you play it wrong youll be able to figure something out.Well maintained. Not the parks fault, but ppl tend to park and picnic on some of the fairways.

2022-05-24The park has just enough and not to much. I love a quiet walk here. And the small boat launch on Black Creek gives great access for an afternoon paddle.

2022-06-19A nice place to fish, canoe or kayak. Small jon boats, canoes and kayaks can be launched off Park St, past the school. The algae mat gets thick in the summer but holds fish before hand.

2021-06-05Great little town park with a great kayak/canoe launch on black creek. Paddle south/east to the spillway or north along a winding creek upstream. Many other amenities including a solid disc golf course and a nature trail. I have not had any luck fishing this section of the creek however.

2021-11-25Rented the East Lodge for Daughters Baby Sprinkle/Shower. Beautiful building, just wished it had a toilet and sink. Restrooms are in another building not too far away during daylight. After dark, I did not try to walk over to it before I left.Instructions on how to use the wood burning stove/fireplace would have been handy. One of the girls went to get portable heaters to use.

2021-08-22The first couple disc golf holes are really squishy, but then they get nice and dry. Its a great course with a bunch of short and longer holes with some fun trees to dodge. There are picnic tables spread about that makes it easy to take a rest. Most holes are very well marked. Good for beginners for sure, you have to really shank a shot to get into a lost disc situation.
