Unfortunately we came here on the last night of our holiday in NYC, I would have happily eaten here a few more times. It was hands done the best meal we had our whole trip. The meat was perfectly cooked and had incredible flavour, the salad bar was excellent, the deserts were amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful.Loved everything about it!
A pure culinary delight super friendly staff! Theres a menu, after youve tried your way through the salad bar you turn a button from red to green and it starts with the meat 🍖 they come again and again until you brush the sails and wave your hands away! Everything super delicious! While the food is excellent and seems never-ending, there are points worth mentioning! I think a pepper and salt mill should be on the table and dessert should be included in the not-so-cheap price! we paid for two people a jug of sangria 2 x menu and a dessert a little over $200 plus tip very good but also very expensive
Every meat lover needs to experience a Rodizio dinner at least once a year. A mix between a buffet and a steakhouse, where the servers bring the meats in skewers to your table for you to choose from and eat with all the veggies from the salad bar or rice and beans with fried banana from the sides menu. This is an unique experience from the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out, I recommend this one to meat lovers with no hesitation. 10/10
Terrible. food + meats were bland. dinner was not worth 72 dollars. didnt have all the meats that was stated in their website. opt for the lunch instead. some of the cuts were too raw, not cooked consistently. waiters rushed me to get the bill. They kept cutting me off while I was trying to enjoy dinner and talk to my wife.
Service was horrible, poorly trained wait staff. Waiter reached across my plate to pick up dirty dishes. Had to wave them down as if they couldnt see. 200 dollar meal for 2 two people. Didnt wanna ruin a great day with my son telling people how to do their jobs. But never again, its no wonder the place was empty.
Food is good, and I like the beef, but $100+ per person feels a little overpriced for me. The diversity also does not match that price in my opinion.Big table, clean space, they even speak a little your language which definitely surprises me.Definitely a nice place to try and feel it.
My boyfriend and I visited Plataforma after a police officer at Newark Penn Station recommended it. We initially had reservations for Fogo De Chao but since our usual waiter was abroad, we decided we’d cancel there and head to the recommended spot. Upon entering, it was a bit underwhelming but the service and food exceeded our expectations. The salad bar has many options although, the Asian options may catch you off guard. The potato salad and chicken salad were excellent, very authentic. As for the meats, I was disappointed that lamb was not readily available but the picanha was delectable. John, who I believe is a manager, was excellent in ensuring we were happy. We let him know next time that we only want lamb chops and picanha. We will be back!
Very disappointing experience. Hostesses we’re very nice and helpful, but the guachos do not know what a medium rare is. We’d ask for a medium rare but either most of the time slice the rarest piece of meat I’ve ever seen, or a well done. They also cut way to big of pieces. I get it, some people who dines at these type of restaurants wants as much steak to be cut up to them, but a Rodizios style restaurant ought to cut up 2 oz slices for the best Rodizios experience. Their cuts were way to thick as well and it was tough to chew on. Overall I feel the guachos are experienced, but can do a whole lot better. Personally would not come back.
One of the best buffets Ive had. The selection of meats that come around are delicious. The interior is very nice. Prices is expensive, but if you come during restaurant week its worth every penny. My jaw started to hurt from eating so much. Staff are very nice and theres a lot of them working there too.
Excellent dinner as always. Service is some of the best you will find anywhere. Not your typical cramped NYC restaurant experience, plenty of space between you and the other patrons. My family had a great time... they love it there. Keep up the good work guys. Hope to be going back soon!
Great first time experience. Delicious food options. Great atmosphere, friendly table side hospitality with the meat cutting. Dont fill up too much on the salad bar otherwise you wont be able to eat the meat. Take your time to fully enjoy, they do not rush you out. Drinks were strong. Overall great first impression. Go during restaurant week as its more affordable for the same experience. It was totally worth it.
Service first and foremost is impeccable and they were extremely good with our 23 month old son.If you are Brasilian just ask for your preference and they will make it!I want to highlight Lamb and Beef cuts (Picanhas) are amazing as is all the cuts for the Rodizo. I had the pork with a cheese crust and the beef ribs as well as chicken heart and queijo coalho. The wife and 22 month old son had plenty of food and all was very tasty. When you mix great food and great service it makes the experience special.Thank you Plataforma de coração!
The service was excellent and the entire establishment was immaculately clean. The salad bar needs a lot of work, as it is not very good. For the most part, all the meats that are brought to the table were delicious and plentiful. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and I never felt rushed to hurry along so they could turn the table. My dining experience was very excellent so I highly recommend the restaurant, but its a little pricey. Expect to spend around $100 per person.
Delicious meats keep coming to the table at this Brazilian rodizio spot. It’s pretty pricey but a really fun night with a group. The place is massive, loud, and fun. There’s a buffet that you shouldn’t mess with too much, not because it’s bad or anything, but to save room for bacon wrapped meats and such.
An absolutely awesome experience! The pictures hardly do it justice. A beautiful upscale yet cozy restaurant. The service was impeccable. Beautiful salad bar and perfectly cooked meets. The concept of the eating experience is fresh and enjoyable.Green means go and red means stop, so you can pace yourself while enjoying your meal. Being able to try meat items from lamb to rib eye, to strip, to chicken for just $46 is a great deal. The meat is sizzling and tender, such a great experience. If you get to go dont hesitate! Theres a parking garage 2 mins down the street that gives a huge discount if you are eating here(this was a big plus for us!). Very happy campers😁
A heaven for meat eaters ‼️All you can eat at one price exclude desserts and drinks. All meats are tender and juicy except pork. My favourite is spare rib. Wide selections on side dishes, desserts & alcoholic beverages. There are 2 colour coasters for you to use during your meal...💚 need serve and ❤️to stop. So remember or else servers will either keep coming to you or keep you alone😂Great live music too.
I’ve been multiple times to Fogo de Chao, the other big Brazilian steakhouse in Manhattan’s theater district. That one is a two-story venue with a more upscale feel, while this is a single floor, very busy, very popular restaurant. The food and the presentation is very similar, but FDC had a bigger selection at its salad bar. We had a great time with the extra-friendly staff. There’s also live music on Saturday nights, at least. As I was a guest at this dinner, I didn’t enquire about the pricing!
The steaks were awesome and the salad bar provided a good alternative to the steaks. I liked their risotto as that provided some reprieve to the meat fest. The only minor quip I have is that their sushi was not that great... But I get it; their a steak shop butt then they shouldnt have made sushi at all though.
First time bringing my fiancé to a Brazilian Steakhouse. He loved it. We loved it. The option for the salad bar was enough to fill us. I wanted the works! Everything was fresh and delicious. Great presentation and manners. We were beyond stuffed and could not do dessert. I forgot the drink that I had, I want to say it was mango or passion fruit and it was delicious. We went on a Saturday for lunch. It was well worth the money. My fiancé said that he would have paid more. Definitely worth the drive, and we’re from PA. We will definitely return. We went on Halloween 🕸🕷🦹🏾♀️🦹🏼♂️
Delicious salad bar with assortment wide selection and a fine assortment of meats. Excellent service and the desserts were heavenly. As a vegetarian, I was very impressed with the amount of amazing food I was able to eat being in a mainly meat establishment. Wonderful place, recommended for special occasions or meat cravings.
Excellent service! Great meats and delicious desserts. Yes, it is expensive ($100+ / person) but does not disappoint. If you want an upscale dining experience with a variety of well-cooked and fresh meats, and are willing to pay for it, then this spot should be on your list.
My friend and i went to this restaurant in Brazil day. I liked the decoration, food, and the service. To add authenticity, around 70% of the staff speak protuguese. I would say the food in comparison to Fogo de Chao is almost the same. Overall, i enjoyed the experienced.
I used to love this place until I went in during Restaurant Week. They never offered the deal. We weren’t given the option to just have from the salad bar even though I was told over the phone bill hen I made the 10 person reservation that would be an option so three folks in my party were charged the $72 Rodizio fee even though they never had the meat! I spent over $980! When I asked the server why we weren’t charged the restaurant week price, he said we needed to tell them in advance. What? That’s not what I was told over the phone. The quality of both the food and the service is not what it used to be. I will never go back or recommend it!
I wanted to take my kid out for a special dinner since we hadnt hung out in a while so I decided to go to Churrascaria Plataforma since I heard good things about it on Reddit. I made my reservations online and the the next day we showed up it was important that they were informed about the seafood and peanut allergies that my child has. When we got there I introduced myself and the person that seated us mentioned that I placed an allergy warning on my reservation (nice touch). We got a nice table next to the piano (no one was playing it) then the MatreD comes over and explains how the red and green disks work and gives us an on-tray menu (pictures below) and we picked most of them. We went to the salad bar and picked at an assortment of salad fixings, sushi, lobster and crab. We both had little plates from the salad bar. Once done with the salad they come over and take the plates and bring us new plates now its on. So we start flipping our disks over and the meats start flying over to our table. I think there was bacon wrapped steak, beef ribs, pork ribs, filet mignon that they carve at the table. We took breaks by flipping the disks from green to Red we would let the food settle then back to green again. There was a moment when the disk was red and the food kept coming over the waiters were messing with us I think lol. So after 3 rounds we had more than enough meat and decided to call it quits. After dinner there is a desert trolley that goes around and tries to entice you with all kind of awesome deserts but we were too full. Its a great experience to have once in your life and come prepared to eat lots of meat. Dont forget your credit card at the end or bring lots of cash youre going to need it. A week later I cant look a burger in the eye without remembering my experience at Churrascaria Plataforma.
If you like to eat, this is your place!. Unlimited meats, chicken, lamb and steak!. Unlimited salad bar, bread and cheese. Excellent costumer service,NO rush, you can sit there for as long as you want, with out people breathing down your neck like in other all you can eat places. Good location and cheap 15$ for 4 hours (not free)parking right across the street. If you bring your parking ticket to the restaurant you get a discount when you pay your bill. We sat there for about 3 1/2 hours and I counted about 15 different meats. We had reservations and within 3 minutes we were sitting down. One tip, request a front of the restaurant table. The environment is a lot better than the back of the restaurant. 12+ different type of desserts,5 different types of coffees. Ive been here about 10+ times and i have never had a bad experience, with either the food or the costumer service.Meats for 4,salad bar for 2,dessert for 3,4 coffees one sangria came out to $410 and i left a $60 tip for a total of $470 is totally worth it!.
My husband and I visited NYC the weekend of Thanksgiving and wanted to make it special. We made reservations in a couple of restaurants and one of them was in this restaurant. I have to say the experience was fantastic. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The prices were affordable even the drinks. The salad bar was luscious and appetizing with a great selection. The meat presentation and taste was delicious. We were most impressed with the staff service from Jahir our main waiter to one in specific, Carlos D. I dont know if he was the head waiter but he sure made everyone feel welcome. His professionalism made an impression on us. Im from Orlando Florida and we have visited many steakhouses here but never had the experience of having someone so friendly, knowledgeable and professional as Mr. Carlos D. I do recommend it.
The place is amazing, the food is so tasty the sale bar has so many options and the drinks are really good. The best part is when the meat is brought to you, it still hot of the kitchen, you can smell the goodness and the servers are so friendly. The dessert are bomb.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. Servers were very polite and efficient. What drew is here we’re the reviews. They really hold up to their almost 5 stars. Salad bar is fresh and diverse. Meats are cooked just the way you want them and seasoned perfectly. The caipirinha were among the best I’ve had.
When: Friday at 7:30pmParty Size: 4Came here for restaurant week. My favorites were the lamb, garlic steak, and prime rib - all of which we spot on juicy. The salad bar had a pretty strong selection as well. Wings, mussels, shrimp, cheesy potatoes, sushi, salad, cheeses, etc.Service: 10/10The Brazillian head guy was funny and made sure we were accommodated since it was one of our birthdays. Food kept coming out the kitchen.Ambiance: 7/10Clean but not as grand as Fogo. Much smaller scale.Overall: 9/10Id come back for restaurant week. The RW meat selection is better here than Fogo.
Okay, ok, here we go. I definitely have to hit the gym. This is crazy, the food is too good, I could hardly move. They keep bringing selection after selection. Lamb, ribs, beef, pork, black beans, im getting crazy trying to remember everything. Sorry guys I gotta get some alkaseltzer. Enjoy, dont blame me!
We have eaten at Churrascaria Plataforma a number of times over the years. We were disappointed this time with the service, selection at the buffet and meats this time. We had to ask for the sides when the meats were being served more than once.Given the cost which was around $100.00 per person, one expects more.
Group dinner for a birthday celebration , and our service was nothing short of impeccable. Our maî·tre d carlos is absolutely out standing. Hes very attentive and catering. We wanted for nothing the staff was on top of our every request. The owner john even sent of a bottle of champagne to compliment the festivities... Out standing steak house ! Oh and the coconut cake TO DIE FOR !!
Amazing place. Me and my girlfriend went here for post Valentines Dinner. Amazing. 62 dollars each per person and all you can eat meat they roll it to your table. I eat a lot and here I had to decline multiple times. Left very full and could hardly breathe. They need to invest in wheelchairs for people like me. Gotta get wheeled out. Love the place will come back again.
What a nice place to have dinner with friends and family. They have a salad bar with different types of cheeses, olives, sushi’s, potato salad, chicken salad and some seafoods. The rodizio es phenomenal! They have a great variety of meets perfectly seasoned. They are also very friendly and professional.
Had a great experience here ..Meat lovers paradise..The selection of meat was ample and cooked to perfection. The service was really good as well.Very professional, friendly and accommodating.Definitely worth the price .If youre a big eater and you love meat this is your place for sure.
Its a delight for meat lovers. One must visit this place on weekdays when there is lesser rush.I enjoyed all cuts of meats with a unique side of fried bananas. I was reluctant at first but it tasted pretty good with the meats. The salad bar has a lot of variety so dont overdo it or youll not be able to gorge on the flavorful meats you are served. The pre-fixed lunch menu on Weekdays for $39 is pretty cheap for what you get there. One must visit for an experience!
A great dining experience in NYC. Ate all the food in the restaurant. Don’t fill up on the salad bar, which is easy to do!Really wanted to try the Pineapple, however, it’s exclusive to the desert menu and we simply didn’t have room for that!Absolutely request the braised beef rib! It only came around once and that was towards the end of our dining experience, we were once again too full to really enjoy it.
The atmosphere is wonderful. I felt like we could have been in a film set in another time. The music. The food is sublime. And if youre a guest of the Belvedere (we were), you can just walk in thru the lobby and stay out of the weather. PS. Their desserts are scrumptious.
The Manager, Leo was very accommodating, friendly and pleasant. The staff at Churrascaria Plataforma Restaurant are exceptionally wonderful considering it was Fathers Day weekend. From the minute we walk in to the minute we left, they made sure we were comfortable, received what we wanted to eat & drink along with giving us suggestions. They didnt make us feel rushed like some other restaurants do. I will definitely come again! Thank you so much Leo & your wonderful staff.
1 of the best steakhouse in Manhattan,Great Campari.oh wait did I mention bottomless? Yes bottomless steak, pork, chicken and fish good for pescatarians, I wouldn’t recommend vegetarians though.Live band fresh salad buffet not to forget well knowledgeable and friendly wait staff
Obviously the food is immaculate so I will comment on the atmosphere. Great background music played by a band decor was interesting and gave you a feel of tropical Brazil which was a nice touch. The seating arrangements in most areas of the restaurant are a bit crowded but understandable for Manhattan.
I came to this restaurant solo for my birthday around 2018 and had great service. For celebrating my birthday there, they gave me a free rodizio card that I ended up using this summer 2021. This time I came in wearing a tank top and was required to cover up. They offered to provide me a t-shirt but I had a jacket in my bag. During lunch time the servers with the meat on the swords were a bit slower. The sausages and lamb were my absolute favorite.
One of the best meat I ever had in my life, however for such a nice and quite expensive place, salad buffet options are way too limited. Going to a churrascaria and not having farofa or vinagrette available is also quite odd. Service was fantastic, ambience also really good, just got disappointed on the salad bar limitations.
Very below expectations.. I would expect moreEat variety for the price you pay.. the salad bar is below medium and you can find better salad bar in a regular store around the block.. four or five meat options that you cant even grill better at home.. honestly, so over rated and very expensive .. not recommended at all
This place is a favorite to visit every now and then in the city. Its expensive, but every single cut of meat was flawlessly cooked and flavored. The staff is always smiling and friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I was happy to introduce this place to my fellow diner as they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Do not be afraid!!! While it is true if you are a meat lover this is your place, however as a pescatarian, the shrimp and garlic is amazing and the fish moqueca is good too. They have a great salad bar with a nice selection for the vegans in the house. Go with you carnivorous friends, enjoy watching them over indulge and say hello to the friendly staff!
Went here on a Friday night. The restaurant is big. Lots of tables and definitely not busy for a Friday night. The food was definitely not worth the price we paid. It felt like a run down cafeteria and not an upscale restaurant. The appetizer bar was laking. Lots of cheap salad options and nothing really that great. The sides were simple- mashed potatoes, fries, vegetables....pretty sad.For $72 per person I expected a lot more.
Still a mainstay of Midtown West. Lunchtime was way less packed than dinnertime, which I think contributes to the reduced variety of meat cuts brought around. It doesnt need to be said that the salad bar is lovely but really just an attempt to limit your meat gorging - although a little salad, tomato slices, and cold asparagus certainly takes up very little space. Those pao de quiejo on the table are dangerously delicious. The garlic sirloin and prime rib were outstanding, alongside flank and un-garlicked sirloin. Chicken and what seemed to be kielbasa-style sausage were fine, and late in the game came chicken hearts, with all their metallic gamyness. Drinks by the glass are reasonably priced; the merlot went especially well with the meats. Caveat emptor on the draft craft beer, as my Brooklyn Lager was sadly in bad shape, but sending it away was no issue. The waiters making the rounds arent particularly pushy, but do ask for smaller slices off the spit, lest you get too much of a good thing. DIshes were cleared and water and wine glasses replenished fairly efficiently. The cocktails, while pricey, are strong and tasty. The staff even sent out a slice of the lemon pie for my belated birthday, in a nice touch.Definite recommend on busy nights of the week, when there are more steak cuts making the rounds, but a Friday afternoon lived up to my expectations well!
I last visited this restaurant 5-6 years ago, and decided to return about a week ago. The prices have basically not changed, and the quality of the food has remained high. This restaurant opens for lunch and I asked if the menu is different at different times of day. The manager on duty did admit that you would see more prime cuts during dinner. I was there between 6.30 and 7.30 pm on a Friday, and the most common circulating cuts was a garlic sirloin, flank steak, lamb, and top sirloin (I believe this to be the Picanha that Brazilian steakhouses are famous for). The meat was cooked to perfection in terms of doneness, though some cuts were lacking in flavor. I believe that a Salad Bar Only Price does exist for patrons who are vegetarian, and access to the salad bar in included in the price for the full Plataforma experience. Sides are also included in this base price, but drinks and dessert are not. Although the meal turned out to be a little too heavy for me in the end, this is something that I would absolutely do once a year or so.
I have a problem with restaurants overlooking me because of my appearance . Maybe thinking I won’t tip well? ... so once again , I came to this restaurant after work wearing sweatpants , Jordan’s and a hat . In my comfortable attire . And I never received this level of excellent customer service EVER . The customer service and how they treat their customers is phenomenal. The food ? Phenomenal. You will fall into a food coma at the table . It’s just non stop food . What a great place . Good experience!
Food was ok we felt really rushed as soon as we sat down meat was already at the table. Our first order of rice was so small it was for a child the beans were not that great. The meats were good also the dessert. Bit over priced compared to other churrascaria I have been too
Just left this establishment the atmosphere was amazing the staff was friendly and very fast but the different cuts of steak and meats were very flavorless and I was highly disappointed with the buffet style salad bar while me and my companion were eating all we could talk about was how bad it was. By the time we received the check i was unsatisfied and definitely not planning a second visit for a steak lover please avoid this place you wont be happy at all
Make no mistake the meats are incredible. I left very full, but I wouldnt go back unless my guests picked it again. To my surprise, desert is extra (a lot extra). Once you add wine or beer and tip, youre looking at about $200 per person. Its not a good deal. If youre going to drop that kind of money per person, why not go to one of the finer steakhouses for a more refined, quieter environment? But yes, the meats are top quality. Salty, charred, various, juicy, delicious. A carnivores playground in a big noisy space full of locals and visitors. And service is friendly and swift.
An excellent experience all around. The establishment is classy without being formal so well suited to any party. I have been here for a few special events and each time has been nothing short of magical. The all you can eat is overwhelming, with quality in each item. The main attraction is the meat and it does not disappoint. The lamb and beef rib were some of the best cuts and when the pork is served there is a very old fashioned style cutting presentation. The salad bar has a great level of variety to prepare you for the main event. Really great all around place well worth the trip.
The worst Brazilian steak house I have ever been. I’m a Brazilian food lover and I have visited too many Brazilian places across the world and this one is certainly the worst. The services were poor and the food quality disgusting. The meats tasted old and nothing tasted fresh including the buffet. Don’t waste your money.
As hard as it was to give this place 3 stars, i gotta say how disappointed I was. I really hoped to give 5 stars. Every steak that we received tasted exactly the same, sure they all looked delicious and I wanted to try each one, but everytime I got a different steak, I hoped it tasted different from the last. They need to do more than just put salt and pepper on each steak, it did nothing to differentiate the flavors of each steak. I was extremely disappointed, and this was during the lower priced lunch time. I could only imagine how dinner would be, at the higher prices. To sum it all up, all I can say is Im glad I saved money by going during lunch, and the salad bar was good, but the important part, the steaks were disappointing when it came to the expectations of tasting different flavors. They can say this is this type and this is that type, but if I was blindfolded and they brought out all the steaks. I wouldnt know that I was eating different steaks. The parmesan pork was too cheesy in flavor, the cheese was overpowering. And the lamb leg was disgusting, it was a waste of a lamb and I hope that everyone is reading this part, do not I repeat do not get the lamb leg. It literally taste like rotten fish. My queen thought the same. All in all I was hoping that I would eat something that I would struggle to make at home, for instance the steak, the chicken, the pork. But, every bite was like, im not a professional chef, but I can easily make this at home or I already made this at home.Im extremely disappointed and hope the owners see this and fix this mistake before they lose customers.
Over priced, under seasoned, not the experience I was expecting. I will give them the benefit of the doubt due to the times we in but it just wasn’t great. Meats were okay some were dried and all were bland. Desserts were not included neither were the drinks, very interesting for a buffet. I’m not from NY but when I revisit I will not be stopping by, very disappointing.
Bring an appetite because this place will stuff you. So much goodness all in one place. Pro tip: prep yourself beforehand and have a hunger but pace yourself. Try everything once but keep your eye out for the ones you like...the garlic steak and filet with bacon were my favs. The fried bananas and cheese bread are also fan favs. We came with a group. Definitely more fun with more people!
Outstanding food and service as always. Make sure to come with an empty stomach... You will need it... They give a selection of salad bar options to choose from.. Smart in the covid era.... Selection of meats still great. And the maracuja dessert and pistachio cake are to die for. A+++
Excellent selection of foods, open and inviting ambiance, attentive service- what more can you ask for? The unlimited salad bar has a great selection of tasty items, so even if you are not dining with someone who is a die-hard red meat eater, they will still be impressed! The quality of the meat is delicious and they have a large selection of different cuts. The prices are steep, but you get what you pay for.
Food was fantastic and the service was outstanding! We went for my mother in laws 50th birthday and they accommodated us very well. I think if I had to complain about anything it would be a $3 a person cutting fee if you bring your own cake. And even that is not bad its business. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely incredible. The pricing of course is something you need to be prepared for since its quite an upscale place. There are a few menu options for a fixed price. The staff were so polite and professional! A few of them went a little too far but I understand that some people might enjoy that. The food was so so delicious. The appetisers buffet alone could be enough to fill you up! But then all the meat options start coming around and you just cant resist. You should come to this place after starving yourself for a few days!! I have to say that not all of the offered meet dishes were equally as amazing but I suppose everyone has different tastes.Overall, simply amazing all around. The other Brazilian all-you-can-eat places may be cheaper but the experience would be according to the price. This place though is a night to remember kind of place. Highly highly recommend it!!
Absolutely delicious!! Everything tasted so so fresh. We were so amazed at the selection. We saw only one long buffet table so we wondered if there wasn’t going to be as much selection, but we only ended up eating from one side of it and want to come back to have the other side! Each item from the salad buffet that we had was so carefully prepared and perfectly flavored. It felt like clean, healthy eating yet it tasted like comfort food too! And the meat was so incredible. My husband and I both agree that this is definitely the best Brazilian we have ever had!!
Hands down the best meal in the city! The never ending meet parade never disappoints! And you could practically get your moneys worth just eating at the salad bar... Cant say enough good things about this place! Great service, great food, great atmosphere and more meat than you could ever hope to consume! Unless youre a vegan...
Absolutely amazing place! Not only was the food delicious, well seasoned, and cooked properly... but the staff and ambience were also amazing. We had 2 servers (Alex and Maria) and a plethora of supporting staff; all of whom were extremely courteous, helpful, fun, and any other extraordinarily great adjective you could think of! The speed of service was amazing, the cleanliness of the restaurant was amazing! All the way down to the attendant in the restroom...they all truly upheld what the service industry should be! Live music was an added bonus, and those tunes could open your heart just as the food opens your gastric soul!
Horrible place , unsanitary conditions, and the food is disgusting. I reported e everything too the GM Jean that justified the nastiness . Also theres a associate Ricardo which is rude and nasty and claimed he was the Manager but hes just associate. He refused to escalate my issues reported too anyone .
My first time here. Attended a Birthday dinner with business associates. Love the atmosphere. Great place to have dinner with family and friends. It was nice to see they cater to children. Dress casual or dressy doesnt matter you will always be dressed for the occasion. Food is very good. All meat is seasoned to perfection. Wait staff is pleasant. Clean, vibrant, bright. Will definitely go again with family.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food! The salad bar had so many options and the meats were top quality. It was my first time there but the staff, especially Carlos (the manager?) made us feel like we were royalty. My four year old was not required to pay anything even though she ate some of my food and the delicious cheese bread. Will be back.
Interesting experience, not a big fan of red meat, but i was here for a birthday party. It’s a prix-fix, they have an open salad bar that it’s huge, and has many choices which i really liked, and then you sit at the table they give you a like a carton one side is red the other side is green, if you keep it on the green side they will keep bringing different meets, and cut in front of you, they bring everything from turkey, to chicken to steak, my favorites were skirt steak, rib eye and top sirloin.Great experience if you’ve never been there but i wouldn’t be so eager to go back, kind of pricey.
This place has a good ambiance. They got place for dining couples, area for large groups and live music. The food was great, the gourmet bar filled with fresh food varieties. The staff were neat, courteous and attentive. The dining experience was worth it with the price. Overall, my partner and I had a great dining experience. We will definitely go back to this place and recommend Plataforma to friends.
My company treated us to dinner at this restaurant. We had a private room along with a host and attendants. If you have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse it can be a bit overwhelming. The sides and accompaniments were exceptional. They have a wide variety of sides. Something for everyone. Now the reason why I said it can be overwhelming is the the meat portion of the meal. The servers bring the meat to your side and ask if you would like to try it. To be honest some I have never had some of the selections. The servers ask you would you like some and really do not give you much time to decide if its something you want or not. If you seem puzzled they move on quickly. Its like you have to make a split decision in the blink of an eye. Basically I didnt try many things because that aspect was nerve wrecking. Other than that the restaurant was fine.
Went to this place with my colleagues for dinner buffet, they enjoyed the place a lot. Many types of steak, sausages and lamb were served. Desserts and wine were good too. I would have given a 5 as well if they had more chicken and sea food options. Sorry Churrascaria, I know you had too many meat options but there are many vegetarians and picky eaters like me visiting your place, think about us as well :-)
I love them spanish cheese bread they serve you when your seated. The food seem on point and there bar makes good drinks. But what I love is the service. Always ready to help you take pics and never to far away when looking for one. A good spot for get together or just a date. Id go back.
This place is going downhill. On my first visit, about 15 years ago, I thought it was one of the best restaurants Id been to: super service, plenteous salad bar, an incredible selection of succulent meat and seafood choices.Over the years the salad bar selections have diminished, the meat selections have shrunk, and the service became perfunctory. This time, there was hardly anything worth having on the salad bar (the expanses of ice chips have grown ever wider between the bins of flavorless filler; the hot dishes did not tempt); the meat selections have shrunk to the point that we were offered the same three or four items over and over again; and the seafood has pretty much disappeared.I asked for octopus that was advertised on the website: sorry, we dont have it tonight.. On a Friday night?! Would you like some salmon? I remember carts with salmon being wheeled around without anyone asking for it! I asked for chicken hearts - another advertised feature: Youll have to wait for about 10 minutes - obviously, they didnt plan on offering it. If I wanted to order my food, I would have gone to a regular restaurant! The flavor is still there on some items, but others (like lamb chops that I was able to intercept only once in over an hour) were dry and unexciting. At least the drinks were potent, or I should say the first drink; the second didnt seem to have much of an effect.Did not have time for dessert because of the extra wait for the hearts. The overall bill was still above$200 for two dinners and three drinks (including tax and tip). The service was attentive - theres still a very high ratio of servers to patrons - but we felt if not rushed, then definitely facilitated along. Not sure Ill be back.
Made a reservation for 8:45om and had to wait 1 hour to be seated. I understand we are in the Holiday season and it’s very busy, but the least The hostess would’ve done is to let us know how long to expect from the wait. We weren’t offered to have seat, a snack or anything for the wait as of courtesy. The buffet didn’t have many options to choose from and none of the dishes had a sign of what it was. We literally had to guess on many dishes what it was.I’ve been to other Churrascaria’s for less money and got a better service and experience overall. The meat selection was really good, even though not many variety. We didn’t have any chicken or sausage. Everything was steak, lamb and 1 option of pork with parmesan cheese.I am kind of disappointed since this is a very well known restaurant and it was my first and last time here.
I love rodizio. It’s the best dollar for dollar restaurant to dine at. You have a great assortment of meats, salad bar, and plenty of other items. It’s ideal in the fact that each meat is sliced a few pieces at a time. This way you’re not sending something back for being too over or under cooked to your liking. Simply request the style your accustomed to and eat on. I’ve been to quite a few of these style restaurants and this one stands alone at the top! Great meats, selections, and salad bar. Busy or not, the service is fantastic!
We had a party of five to impress, we were not disappointed! The salad bar was a great start. Then we were bombarded with at least 10 different of the finest steaks, they were so delicious! The trick is just just taste a bit of each one, if you want to get to the finish line! The mash potatoes, black beans were great. For desert the chocolate cake was so good! We cant wait to return!
We stayed in the hotel and got a 10% discount to go here so we said why not lets try it. Its not on the cheap side but for a high quality Churrascaria youre getting what you paid for. Endless meat options a well stocked salad bar and they have beef ribs!! Which is the Cadillac of meats. The second you flip your (I think it was a card) to green youre bombarded with more meats. Great place to go but its a once in a while treat.
This is one of those restaurants in the city that some folks may find a bit intimidating. Although, is basically a meat eaters dream. They serve these delicious salads and imported olives and so much more at their food bar; that youve got to watch not to fill up before the Servers approach your table with swords in hand ready to carve scrumptious slices of meats. At the table is a coaster (red on one side and green when its turned over). This allows your server to know when to continue bringing all cuts of meat to your table. This includes: Fillet Mignon, Skirt Steak, NY Strip, Porter house, sausages, and so much more. Delicious desserts too. Restaurant lends itself for all special occasions or just a quiet intimate dinner. Prices are what you would expect dining in the city. Been there several times, Worth a visit.

2021-11-25Highly recommend this place if nicely cooked meat is your jam. Salad bar is also good, and the cocktails were great (we had a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned, and Im factoring these in to the price per person). Yes, its somewhat pricey, but I thought the value for what you get was actually quite good. They were constantly coming around with freshly cooked items of good variety. Will definitely go back.

2022-01-08All you can eat Brazilian steak house, the meats were delicious and the salad bar has a good variety to choose from. You also get sides included which are also unlimited. Service was great and the restaurant has a nice interior.

2022-06-29The food is pretty good. The meat selection is good and the buffet is solid. While there isn’t a huge variety in foods there is multiple types of meat like lamb, chicken and beefs that make it worth a visit. Make sure to come hungry because it’s buffet style.

2022-04-03Upscale churrasqueria in the Theater District. Great value and excellent service. We were a group of 11 with one with mobility issues. We had paid out check already but we were allowed to stay on and just have coffee as an accommodation to our lunch companion who needed to kill time. Thank you Plataforma for the wonderful lunch experience

2022-04-26I stumbled onto the restaurant because I was staying at The Belvedere (attached). Food was excellent. Salad bar included things such as sushi, blanched asparagus, caprese salad. The meat selection was excellent; the only one I was disappointed in was the lamb - it was quite tough and gamy - and I love lamb! I would definitely go back. Its similar to Fogo de Chao, for reference. I would definitely go back.

2022-02-23Went here on the last day of restaurant week, 2/13/2022.As someone who has been to a ton of Brazilian steakhouses, especially back home in Las Vegas, I was extremely unimpressed with the meal here, even at the discounted rate. There is only one Brazilian steakhouse that Ive had worse food at, and thats at Pampas at Miracle Mile in Las Vegas. My husband noted on our Open Table reservation that I have Celiac and need to know what is and isnt gluten free. The hostess who checked us in asked which one needed gluten free. I said it was me and she said, anything that you see on the salad bar that youd think has gluten, has gluten. And the parmesan pork and chicken have gluten.Umm what? Anything that you think has gluten has gluten? From my experience, the things you absolutely would never assume have gluten always have it added in for some unexplainable reason. The fact that this place is located right off of Time Square, so they get a ton of tourists, and they have zero labeling or allergy guide, at $60+ per person is absurd. Other places give me a print out with what is and isnt gluten free, and others have actual labels on the salad bar. Not here, and this is the most expensive of all of them. The salad bar is always my favorite at these places but this one, not so much. It didnt have a lot of options but it did have sushi rolls (like California rolls) for some reason. What I had off of it wasnt very good so I didnt bother to go back for a second plate.Meat was meh. I was able to eat 3 of the 5 choices and they were underseasoned. Luckily the chimichurri sauce, which isnt on the salad bar (but pesto is. Ask me how I know) is some of the best chimichurri Ive had. When it came time for dessert, the service was straight up offensive. I asked the waiter which desserts were gluten free and he pointed to a few and snapped, but those arent included with Restaurant Week so *shrug.* He didnt even ask me if Id like to order one at my own cost or a coffee. Didnt even make an attempt to work around my dietary need. I would have taken a piece of fruit. At comparable priced places with a set menu, Ive never experienced staff not even attempting to feign making an effort to accommodate my Celiac disease. My husband ended up getting a pink cheesecake and tiramisu.Service was spotty as far as water refills, but it may be because it was Super Bowl and people were watching that. All in all, I felt ripped off after eating here and I would not recommend it, even if I didnt have Celiac.

2022-05-11This restaurant used to be pricey, but fantastic and worth it. Now is only pricey and super average.First of all, at dinner time is was half empty, there was no live music (although there is an orchesta) or even background music. Very dull. The salad bar was a disaster, super average, only with cheap options. It used to be amazing. The drinks were super expensive ($15-20) and super small (I never saw a martini glass so small). The gin tonic was served in a generic glass. The sangria was served in a very small wine glass. The meat was good, but nothing espectacularTotal price for 3 rodizios, 4 drinks and one dessert was $350.Seems to me the reduced costs tremendously without affecting selling prices. Bad idea! Will not return
