We just received a charge for $700 on our rent bill because Ciampa neglected to charge us for our parking space for the past several months. That type of error should be either be absorbed by the organization, as they are at fault for forgetting to charge us, or allow us to pay via monthly installments. It is ridiculous to expect us to pay $700 up front on top of our rent, especially during a pandemic.Update 7/23/22:My bedroom AC has been out for a week. During a heatwave. I called Ciampa and their AC guy came and proceeded to rip the grounding pin out of my AC plug, because he was having difficulty plugging it into the outlet that is caked in paint. This is a fire hazard and now Im being told that it is up to Ciampa to decide if I get a new AC or not. This is crazy!!!! It also goes against the lease agreement regarding liveable conditions as agreed to in the lease.Update 7/30/22:Elevator and downstairs buzzer have been out of service all day and neither have been repaired today. Lights in hall and stairwell on top 2 floors out. I live on the 7th floor and am disabled, and I havent been able to leave or order in because I cant walk up 7 flights of stairs multiple times a day. Why wasnt this fixed today????

It is impossible to get an actual answer or even a response from anyone at Ciampa. Specifically, Julie does not respond or provide answers to your questions. We want to make sure no one makes the same mistake we did signing a lease here as it has been a terrible experience. With Amazon moving in, they are taking advantage of that and trying to push people out.When they finally responded, the response we received is that a letter has been sent and all the letter said was that they believe the price is fair for current market conditions.They have ceased charging the preferential rent of $2,600 and are asking us for 165% of our previous rent ($4300!). In the renewal lease, they did not list the preferential rent price which actually seems to go against the terms of their own renewal lease. They are currently marketing other apartments in the building for $2,350 and $2,800, yet are asking us for ~$4,300. The doormen and maintenance people are amazing and we will miss them.For anyone looking to rent in Long Island City, look at other apartments other than Packard Square (Ciampa Organization) to save yourself from our experiences.

This is probably the one of the worst company to rent from, the way they treat you will drive you nuts, especially Julia from the office... OH my. Shes going to make you regret that you decided to do business with them. Her principles more important than companys business, and theres no one to tell looks like shes in charge of everything.

I’m not really sure where these complaints come from. I’ve lived in their building for over 5 years with no problem. I recently got relocated due to COVID-19 and had to move out west. Hope to head back when things get back to normal

Mr.Joseph Ciampa is one of the most generous people I have ever met and had the privilege of working for. I did some floor work in his home, and he gave me not only a higher pay than what we agreed upon, but he tipped me once when I started, and again when I was finished. I am dumbfounded as to all these negative reviews. There are always two sides to every story, but I personally know that the Ciampa family has a heart of gold.

Worse management company. Poor customer service skills and just plain rude.Just go onto to Yelp and check out their reviews. The one and only positive feedback Im sure was a fake. Dont ever rent from them. The buildings they manage are filthy and they give you the run around when returning security. Poor communcation and they get defensive. They claim to not give wrong info and blame the tenant.
