I have been there a few times with my 9 year old son to try to get some fresh air during this unfortunate times, and there is always a bunch of unpleasant, loud adults saying horrible things to their children and drinking alcohol. This is a playground designed for our kids to play and have fun in a healthy way, not for them to go see those kind of episodes.
My granddaughters loved this park. Its a beautiful playground that includes a toddler area that has a small rock climbing n slides area just for them. You can sit almost anywhere in there with all the benches and tables available and watch your kids, eat and have fun with them. The people and children there were very friendly.
You meet some nice people in this park.
Nice park usually no problems. Sometimes the others kids ride bikes in there and dont look where they are going. Also the neighborhood drunkies hang out and sleep there.
Nice little Park for the kids. I just wish the adults wouldnt drink in there.

Its supposed to be a playground for little children and although I dont have a problem with teenagers coming here we still need to take care of our little ones not getting hurt by the bigger kids. Some days youll see homeless people hanging out or drinking. Just call the cops and have them remove nicely.

The best park back in the day used to have a handball court where only the white people used to play handball in the daytime and the Barclay booster plate in Spanish used to play at the night time we should be all Italian owned kind of miss it it was a different park big handful court team flag, Anthony from Neil
Three nice playgrounds for big and little people with a water sprinkler in the middle. Very close to Little Italy on Arthur Ave. Often there are many homeless people hanging around drinking.
Its an okay park. Kids only have very hot slides to use. The neighborhood is nice right by little Italy, so plenty of food to eat.
Neighborhood aint so great but the park is good for children they have two sides one for little kids and the other for bigger kids
I was a life guard back in 1982 when there was an above ground 3ft swimming pool, right beside the Park House/bathrooms. Of course the swimming pool is long gone. There were also basketball courts, a handball court, bocce ball court, kid swings (and adolescent swings too!) monkey bars, etc.

The park is usually clean and homeless people dont hang out ... there is also bathrooms. The day I was there the bathrooms were locked and that was my purpose for going there
Good place to rest your feet and eat lunch, refill your water bottle, and use the restroom. There are lots of children running around throwing water balloons and playing in the fountains, exasperated mothers, and napping old men.
One of my favorite parks. Especially because of the calisthenics area. Started my fitness journey here 12 years ago.
Its a nice park. But a lot of teenagers come to fight and act all crazy. There are babies and children playing and we need to make sure there safe.
The cleanest park in the city. Everything is very well maintained. It is really surprising because if you walk a few blocks west, it is a completely different neighborhood.
My kids like this park. Big and relaxing for parents to sit back and enjoy. Great neighborhood with a lot of shops and restaurants.

I USED TO STOP HERE WITH MY FAMILY AND SIT, THE CHILDREN PLAY VERY FRIENDLY AS ALL COMMUNITIES SHOULD BE. IT WAS QUIET AND SEVERAL STORES TO BUY GOODIES OR A LUNCH OR DINNER. OF ALL A LITTLE DURING THE SUMMER, PARENTS USUALLY TAKE THE YOUNG CHILDREN TO REFRESH WITH THE JETS OF WATER 😊.

2022-05-22This park used to be so much better in the 90s when there was the handball court, monkey bars, the little hide out underneath the slide, board game competitions during the summertime and soccer games. Ever since they so called renovated it only became less kid friendly and more sterile feeling. The space that used to be for handball, soccer and monkey bars is now just a huge area of benches and seating for old people to hang out all day. Also the section with the structures for people to work out attract grown men without kids that are sometimes not acting in a kid friendly manner. Loud music, cursing, drinking. Most of the park is useless to kids. Its just not fun anymore.

2022-03-09It use to be a great park I use to take my now 11 year old their all the time when she was little we stoped around 3 years ago because it got bad with homeless people or people drinking, older kids making out or swearing. Not a fun place no more. They need to bring the cops back kicking people out that dont belong in the park.

2020-07-28This park has a lot of drunks and homeless ppl. You have to be careful with the kids.. The parks department let the garbage bins overflow. So sad they need to clean it up.

2021-10-21Girls bathroom was filthy. Idk why ppl come to the park and leave garbage everywhere.There are garbage cans in the park.Alot of homeless people smoking in the park. Cmon guys its a kids park!
