This is one of my favorite places to eat. I had the veal parmigiana and it did not disappoint. It was delicious with a side of zucchini noodles and HUGE! I had to bring most of it home. My friends had a vegetable medley and scallops over farro. The scallops were seared to perfection and creamy on the inside. They have an extensive wine selection and their cocktails are delicious. Intimate setting and friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome if you go there ask for Cher :) oh we also had the fried calamari with the honey habanero sauce.... so yummylicious!!!
Cannot describe HOW pleased we were with our 1st delivery order. .. Didn’t know you had delivery..service..Just as eating in the restaurant, everything was excellent. daughter was thrilled to see spaghetti squash on menu. I’m so pleased to learn you deliver. As if that were not enough, EVERYTHING was HOT !!! Also, assorted cookies as a TY gift…. Dinner tonight was a pleasure. TY CIRELLAS’
One of the worst experiences I have had. The Resturant was nice. The host was nice but the waiters were not. One waiter in particular was acting as if he was irritated to even serve us. We literally walked in and the guy had a vendetta to just make the night uncomfortable for my wife and I. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
A decent place to have a nice dinner. We went here for my wifes birthday. The staff was nice. Pleasant ambiance with low lighting. My wifes dinner was good but my lasagna was frozen in the middle. In there defense when our waitress asked if everything was alright, I did not disclose my entrie mishap. Maybe it was just a bad night in the kitchen.
This place is top flight for me. The food is great, portion sizes abundant, friendly staff, and a great outdoor dining area. This has become my go-to restaurant for outdoor dining during the ongoing pandemic. The outdoor seating area has great spacing, curtains to block the adjacent tables, and your own personal heating lamp. You cant beat this.
I just tried this place for the first time. This restaurant is hidden off the side of a service road where people are driving 50 mph.Very easy to pass by not to mention the front is covered by treesFor starters the hostess was terrible. From my phone call I was immediately able to tell that she uses Open Table and she did not have my time available because she was just looking at whatever time slots were open based on what the computer says. She was not very friendly and she was abrupt on the phone. When I arrived once again we were not greeted. I waited for a while and finally we were sat by an unfriendly hostess. She was so far ahead of me I didn’t even know what was going on I had to stop her and ask her if I was following her. Once we sat down without exaggerating I waited 10 minutes for somebody to come over. Finally an older gentleman came over and asked me what we would like to order. My wife asked for a drink menu since we did not even get that. The garlic knots and bread were served cold. It would’ve been nice to have some nice hot bread or at least warm. The waiter who had zero personality and did not even tell me his name took our order. We started off with the special sushi roll which was good. We eat sushi several times per week and if I’m going to eat sushi I’m going to go to a sushi restaurant not an Italian restaurant but I must say the roll was good not great but just good. The Caesar salad was awful. The dressing did not taste homemade at all. The short rib and Veal were both good. I would go back to try some of the other food items and hopefully the service is better the second time around. I really wanted to like this place but it failed on so many levels. Considering the owner was sitting next to me with four of his friends I’m surprised the service was so bad.
The staff is extremely diligent here in maintaining a safe, clean and relaxing environment. There are not many restaurants that are truly compliant to Covid protocol but they are beyond careful here. I was weary about going to a Monday lunch meeting at a restaurant because I have not gone many places in the past few months but Cavan was amazing and put us at complete ease! It was so nice to feel safe and be able to have some normalcy and socialization without fear. I would have no problem coming here on a regular basis. Food was excellent as well.
Nice Italian restaurant in Melville located off Rt 110. The valet attendant is very courteous and friendly. They have a great menu selection. The food is very nice and the portion size is quite big. However the prices are on the higher side. Our server also got confused with our order, but everything worked out fine.
Positive: Our waitress Paula did a great job serving us during our dinner on Monday 3/15/21Negative: Everything elseI will never forget my meal at Cirellas. It was that bad.We were in the area and decided to come to this place for dinner because it was highly rated. Even though its an Italian restaurant, we opted not to get pasta because we wanted to try something else. Maybe that was our mistake. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came to the table burnt and mooing. My husband politely told our waitress I hate to be that guy, but can they cook this a little more. It is raw.The steak came back and now it was actually the opposite of raw. The steak was so overcooked that the meat inside was gray. Saying it was inedible was putting it nicely. The meat was so rock hard and chewy that a huge chunk of steak got stuck in my husbands back teeth. It was so hard to get out that we had to ask Paula our waitress to get us a toothpick during the meal. He will probably have to get Invisalign now because it made a gap in this teeth. My husband put his fork and knife down and decided to stop eating the piece of brick. He proceeded to eat the free garlic bread that they give you in the beginning when you sit down. That was actually pretty good. I recommend the free bread. We also ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. When the Brussel Sprouts came out, I had to recheck the menu to make sure we didnt get the Soggy Brussel Sprouts. The texture was like wet toilet paper. I mean, seriously?
Weve been going to Cirellas for a few years, mostly for take-out when visiting parents in Melville. Were from Westchester, and while there are plenty of terrific restaurants up here, Cirellas is our favorite place in the region. We were lucky enough to reserve a Christmas Eve dinner for 20 -- a family get-together -- and we had a perfect feast and a truly festive evening. The owners made everyone feel welcome, Michelle and her colleagues were amazing with the recommendations and service. Everyone had a fantastic time. And who knew you could get some of the best sushi around AND the best Italian fare all under one roof? This place really gets hospitality, good food and a great vibe.
Great food and friendly staff. However. The wait staff served our beverage carafe with his hands all over the top rim. Very unsanitary. Never put your hands on the top of any glass someone is going to drink from. We did not drink that and was grossed out by that. Otherwise great restaurant..
This place is so popular and often crowded. Im not sure why. Perhaps because the service is good and food is abundant--but its still the same ordinary LI Italian fare you find elsewhere. Their bread is addicting but either drenched in oil or starchy white. Octopus appetizer was tough and nothing like what I ate in Italy. Arugula salad with roasted vegetables was OK but not organic and overdressed. None of the meat dishes are grass fed or organic...pity. The special chicken Marsala I tasted was overly sweet and overwhelmed with sun dried tomatoes. I did not order from their sushi menu given there was no commitment to higher quality Italian-- Im fussy about where raw fish comes from. We shared a Ricotta pie slice, which was quite large. It was good but would be better with a fresh raspberry sauce instead of an overly sweet honey drizzle. One highlight was the delightful waitress we had who made us feel like family. Espresso was also great.
I pass this place everyday to go to work but never ate there. My mom suggested we dine there for lunch today and we had NO regrets. I ordered the Kale and Quinoa Garden salad which came hot or cold. I chose hot. It came with cut up asparagus, walnuts, cranberries, and diced grilled chicken. It was absolutely delicious! My mom ordered the fillet with arugula, tomatoes and onions. It was a culinary delight! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the oily bread. I did enjoy the soft, cheesy topped bread though. Last but not least, our waitress Sam was a sweetheart and made our experience that much more pleasant. We will be returning in the future.
I waited all week for a nice dinner and was extremely disappointed. Great service but the food was just awful. Meatballs were hockey pucks and bland and why is there Asian food at Italian restaurant???!?!! Vodka sauce was bland, bread was hard, are we in jailhouse??? Scallops and shrimp were just terrible!!! Disgusting place!!!
Had a bridal shower there for my daughter on Aug 18, 2018. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the food and attentive service from the staff. Prices are comparable to other venues in the area - about average when comparing about a dozen or so restaurant/caterers. Price for food was very good and the food was delicious as was the deserts. Beer/wine price per person was a bit high. Some places included it. The size of the room was very adequate for 40 guests for this type of party. I would definitely recommend it!
A nice surprise...and even more surprising is the Sushi on the menu... We stuck to Italian though, and it was good. The service was very attentive and not overbearing which I always appreciate. The starter was a plate of calamari, which was a large portion and the sauces were thick and rich. One was spicy and the other marinara - both good. The entrée was the chicken topped with the arugula and mozzarella accented with balsamic vinegar. Both were very tasty and the overall presentation and taste were great. Nice balsamic taste and a more tender than expected chicken.I will be back!
There were four of us there and we each had completely different meals, but were all extremely happy. Its rare to get a place who can make a great pasta dish, an off the menu eggplant meal, sushi and hand rolls, as well as a great steak! Kudos to the owner and chefs who prepared everything perfectly.
My family has been going to Cirella’s restaurant for more than a decade. So when it was time to pick a caterer for my small (50 people) backyard wedding, I thought of Cirella’s food immediately. The variety that they offer is amazing— we had vegetarian, chicken, fish and steak for our guests, not to mention the appetizers, salad and bread! Everyone kept coming up to me and commenting on how good the food was! They also delivered it on time and came back two days later to pick up the catering racks. Definitely give them a call to cater any event!
I enjoy this place a lot. However, I would like to see some home made dishes such as homemade gnocchi, or homemade pasta, maybe as a special. Pasta is the best when its made fresh. I love when Italian restaurants make their own pasta, especially since this restaurant has been around for a while. I like that theyve recently made a few changes to the menu and have other options.
I`ve been here hundreds of times! Food and Service are always great. For years this has been and still is my go to restaurant for business and family dinners. Portions are huge, and when you get home and unpack the left over and put hem away, i`m willing to bet you get a fork and knife, and start eating again. Consistently The Best Sit Down Italian Restaurant within 30 miles in any direction. Dress up for a night on the town, or straight from work, I always feel comfortable Here.Michael GNassau Oil Tank Inc.
When we pulled up I was not expecting white glove service by the description on Google. That said, there was nothing pretentious about this seemingly old world place. Valet service helps with the tight parking lot. Friday lunch was bustling with business meetings. But that did not prevent my 3 year old from getting special attention! Service was definitely on the high end knowing when to attend and when to give space. Pricing was consistent with service. It certainly was unconventional for Long Island to have a traditional Italian menu followed by a sushi menu on the back but being midday lunch we went with the lighter sushi fare and it was surprisingly very good and very fresh!
We enjoy to go out. Yesterday we visited this fine place which friends recommended to us. We had a delightful time there with excellent cooking and a courteous stuff and a great chef. We added this place in our phone list and we shall surely go again very soon. We warmly recommend.
Place was busy but outside tables were open. Chose to sit outside was told they would send a waiter right out. We were ignored by wait staff, asked a bus boy to send a waiter out. Still ignored. Went back in told them we were outside and could we get some menus. They handed me menus and I brought them outside. Waitress finally came out and took our drink order. Told her we needed a couple more minutes to order our meals. Took forever to get our drinks, the traffic noise outside was disturbing. She never came back out to take our dinner order. Bus boy came out again and asked him to send the waitress out with our check. Cant review the food, we left without eating.
I opted for the Japanese side of things and honestly regret it. It wasnt bad but the Italian food looked much better. From what I can tell Id stick with the Italian on a future visit.I think a full Japanese restaurant is just going to do a much better job than a place trying to wear two hats like this.
I have driven past this place for over a decade and tonight was my first time here. Mandatory valet parking or street parking if you can find it. Be careful what parking lot you park in, some will give tickets. Italian and Sushi place, tried their California roll and the LI roll. Very good fish and the sashimi was absolutely delicious. Sampled their rasoto as well as a pasta special with sausage and hot pepper. The food and service was all very good and would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.
Cirellas is one of those places thats popular for no good reason. Food is highly mediocre. Jumbo shrimp (prawn) for appetizer were not fresh and a bit overcooked. Gnocchi were thick and heavy. Short Rib was nothing special. The other people in my party generally agreed is was all highly meh. You can do much better for Italian restaurants on Long Island.
Wait staff do not rush patrons and are knowledgeable about entrees. Portions are large and large salads are filling as an entree and light alternative to a heavy meal. Wait staff politely offer plates and spoons for shared desserts which are delicious. Have never tried the sushi so cannot comment on sushi. Limited street parking but valet parking available. Only challenge is high noise volume when the restaurant is full. Those with hearing challenges may want to request a table in a corner or against a wall.Good location just east of Nassau County for those looking for midpoint to meet up near LIE. A satisfied repeat diner.
Deborah the manager is a nasty individual that has zero respect for everyone, she acts like shes still in grade school! Honey u work in a restaurant ur not a corporate woman start knowing ur place! Second the portions of food is way over priced! And why r 90% of the waitress 700lbs maybe bc Deborah is too jealous to hire beautiful woman! Horrible place dont eat here!
Elegant yet casual Cirellas is where we go to celebrate many family special occasions. When we dined today the center of the room was set for a large gathering. Balloons afloat for a 50th birthday party and I was happy for the group that was soon arriving. They had made a great choice in Cirellas.

2021-12-14Bartender Nick is outgoing, accommodating, and friendly. Food is Phenomenal. Italian Food And Sushi. Bon Apetit! I figured it would either be phenomenal or horrible and phenomenal it was. Don’t be afraid. They nail both cuisines. Come have a spicy tuna roll with your linguini with clam sauce.

2022-06-22Have eaten here many times. Even have done catering. Everything is always great. Delicious food, good portions. However, yesterday we brought my grandma here for her 93rd birthday. Our meal was great. At the end they brought out chocolate ice cream with a sparkler for her birthday. She loved it! We got the check to see that the chocolate ice cream was $5 more than our other two desserts. Which I thought was strange (I’ve worked in many restaurants and birthday desserts are usually free) but, that’s fine if not. We understand times are hard. When we asked the waiter about the price difference he explained it was for the sparkler. I’m sorry but $5 for an extra charge for someone’s BIRTHDAY? All I can say is this was tacky. I would never up-charge someone for something on their birthday. Definitely won’t be coming back for another special occasion.

2021-04-12I was surprised this place is kinda affordable. The food is really good. The best part about this restaurant is the service. The staff here is super cheerful and fully engaged with the guest . I also love the influence of japan and Italy on the menu.

2022-02-26Had a 7:45 reservation waited at crowded entrance for 5 minutes until hostess came by; said it would be 15 minutes. Waiting area was the entryway and was busy and uncomfortable. Went outside and came back in 15 minutes, still no table. Was told there were 3 in front of me. Asked her who took my reservation, she did not know. At 8:25 went in still no table, This place does not care about their customers to overbook at that hour. They were dishonest when they said 15 more minutes when they knew it would be an hour or more just to keep us waiting. There are many great italian restaurants within a 1 mile radius..This place is not worth it. As you can see by the reviews, the owner only responds to positive comments.

2022-04-02This place is great. Where else can you go on a Tuesday night and see a packed dining room??Amazing Italian food and the sushi was outstanding. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed the crowd. Worth it!!!

2022-06-26The only good about this restaurant are the drinks. They don’t skimp on liquor however the food is questionable @ best. We ordered the Cacio e peppe. Dish was dried not juice the pasta was stuck together n difficult to separate. They need to improve on the shrimp bruschetta, dish was ok. The cavatelle with sun dried tomato had no taste. Perhaps we r critical due to the many dining areas we visit.Would not visit going forward. Sorry!!!!

2021-03-08I had not been back here for 5 years and the restaurant is brighter and much less crowded than I remember. I also dont remember the sushi but all the food is fantastic my wife and I would come back for sure specially for the gnocchi special with broccoli rab and thin sliced italian sausage. It was fairly child friendly as well since we had our 3 year old with us.
