A nice little park to walk around before heading over to the Brooklyn Bridge. Pretty, small, and well kept.

Not large and not a ton of seating, but the most green in the courts area and by St. Pauls chapel if you need some heavenly time. Always nice to see tourists out sightseeing and building workers eating on a nice day. The subways are very close by for transit.
Do wish it opened earlier, 10 am on a Saturday morning seems late to me, security guards are there all the time . But it is a very special place in American History , Hallowed ground!!
Absolutely worth a visit because its so striking!
Great location with good views of the Brooklyn Bridge. Also access to walk across it. Close to Chinatown, the court building where Law and Order films its iconic scenes in front of the courthouse. Good architecture all around.
What an amazing place. It is not very touristy, we found it by accident. Do yourself a favor and spend at least an hour walking around and taking the views in. The Woolworth Building is nearby. The walk from here to the Woolworth Building is a must as well.In general, the area is amazing for a nice morning walk.

I love getting a bite to eat at Joe’s Pizza and sitting here at City Hall Park to eat my pizza and people watch. In the heart of the financial district, you won’t regret spending some time here.

Ive not spent much time in this part of town and this is my first visit to City Hall Park. Its a nice park with plenty of benches and shade.
I used to work in a building in front of this beautiful very small park. There is always something happening from protests in front of the city hall or tourists taking picture. It’s nice in every season and a good place to have lunch and take a breathe from work. Enjoy your visit!
Part of the park is off limits, only to city hall staff. The section that was accessible was lovely, well kept, the fountain was gushing away.

It was nice. You can tell you were in a place of politics bc there were hardly any homeless ppl. God forbid politicians do something to help the people. No no. Lets keep the people w needs away from them.

City Hall Park is a good little getaway from the hustle and bustle of lower Manhattan. You can have a picnic or an interview. Whatever you decide, its good to always find time to slow down and take it the huge city around you and appreciate the small little parks. Take a deep breath, and continue on.
It is a very representative small park in downtown Manhattan. An excellent place to rest after having crossed the Brooklyn Bridge. In spring their gardens are quite colorful. At lunchtime every afternoon it springs to life when those working in the neighborhood come to relax, eat, and soak in sunshine on its grassy lawns.For people-watching enthusiasts, the park provides a crosscut of New York life as government workers, jury members, and newlyweds visiting City Hall for their marriage licenses stroll through its grounds.
In a blink of an eye, the serenity that is city hall park can turn into the pictures I posted. It no longer looks like the pictures anymore but it is closed due to cleaning. Hopefully it reopens again.

Nice place to go in order to relax and get a piece of mind if you wish to follow exchange in order the chords for in the area very great hot dog stand today you just have to know which one to pick from and also and arcade playroom very near facts around about it cuz you dont get to find many arcade places that are available but they do have them and theyre very fun place to go on your little first date if you want to cruise by the arcade rooms and if you go early enough you might catch a lot of dollar spots for $5 spot so you can buy scarf ear muffs of that nature also in the summertime they may have a band playing overall great experience so if you ever want to go around the area and if you have a problem with your landlord and you want to sue him go there too also for your training orders I should have tooken pictures but my phone died thanks a lot

It’s a beautiful little park with a gorgeous fountain. The scenery is best during the spring and summer seasons. Fall for spooky looks. Good spot to sit down and relax while enjoying a nice Starbucks coffee from across the street.

Great historical park to take a break in or just sightsee at. Plenty of places to sit and relax. The architecture is definitely interesting for those who know what to look for with buildings dating back to 1812. It is also a quick walk to the Brooklyn Bridge to the east, and One World Trade and the WTC Memorial to the West (among many other sites in lower manhattan). Easily accessible by all transportation, including the NYC Subway via the 4/5/6 (Brooklyn Bridge), J/Z (Chambers St.), R/W (City Hall), and 2/3 (Park Place). Definitely an accessible place to stop at for any walking tour of lower manhattan.
Nice place to relax with great view of the freedom. New barricades make navigating this park a bit more challenging, but its diminutive size should not make it too much of an issue.
City Hall Park is such a warm and friendly park. We loved the fountain on the north entrance and the spectacular views. Great fun while we waited on our tour guide!!
It was a late night stroll with no in park lighting I did hear water trickling, so there is a fountain in the park. I tried to take pictures, but there wasnt enough lighting.

I probably pass through here every time Im in the area. Its nice. Pick a spot and relax a bit. You could walk to the Twin Towers site from here.
Considered to be an iconic park across the NYC Mayors office is maintained very badly. Come on guys wake up, many tourists visit this area and its near the financial district of New York.
It was a very nice place to sit for a few minutes and enjoy some coffee, and the fountain in the center is beautiful

I am sure that I was either passing thru or going to the train. BUT this place is a tranquil one when you step inside.Benches and flowers.
Crowded and busy city... very small green parks but dirty and smelly at the same time...how ever this might be the cleanest place around here. Try not to visit at all at Christmas timee or some other festivals....

What a great time! We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge and really enjoyed our time outdoors on a perfect day!

Im only writing this as a New Yorker recording Revolutionary War sites that have some form of recognition in New York City. There is such a dearth that I like to note the few there are. In this case there are at least five here 1) is the statue to Nathan Hale (you will find a plaque to his capture near Grand Central along Vanderbilt Ave and 46th St; and another dedicated to the vicinity of the poor lads hanging at 66th Street and Third Ave. both are at eye level attached to the wall). 2) is a carved stone plaque in the sidewalk noting the approximate location of the the notorious Bridewell Prison and looking up and onto the grass you will find a cement or stone outline of the prisons foundation. 3) another plaque in the sidewalk noting the site of the British Barracks (photos of both attached to this review). 4) near the Bridewell another cement marker behind the fence in the grass talking about the Liberty poles and a flag pole referenced that stands back toward City Hall. And finally 5) a statue of Benjamin Franklin across the street at Park Row and Spruce St. adjacent to Pace University.
The venders lining the bridge were cool. There was someone selling anime posters and stickers.

Another great example of our love and respect of urban parks. If youre coming downtown to see the bldgs where we park the trash known as elected officials - take a pass. Instead, grab something to eat and sit in this park listening to the waterfall from the fountain. Btw it always feels 10° cooler in this glen to me
No holiday decoration-spacing to relax and get pretty 4 sides view of downtown. 3 minutes walk from fulton/path station holiday hall, church and 9/11 memorial. Street cross to walk bridge next to city hall for additional sight view of the city. 10-15 walk to water view boardwalk. 15 minutes walk to statue of liberty boat access, governor island boat access, and ferry. 15 minutes walk to 3 pier in different direction and ferry access.
Didnt have my CoVid Vaccine card, but managed to sneek in. Got the Chopped Meat entree w/ potatoes.Alright then. Great Sports Talk w/ a funny, stout black bartender.Did you know this Bar/Rest. Has a history back to the 1880s? Wow!
George Washington sent the Declaration of Independence to be read from this spot on July 7, 1776. So much Revolutionary War history took place in Lower Manhattan. Im a native New Yorker and I never ever get tired on this spot. Always something good to see and watch here. The saddest part is the police fences that have defaced City Hall. Really! Take these down!
Never been here at night, the lights in front are nice. Its so quiet due to covid. A lot of NYPD around.
Nice park, we were there about 2 hours before sunrise and there was no sunlight in the park so it felt colder. I wouldnt exactly recommend coming here to eat as youll be approached by multiple squirrel wanting a bit. If you do eat there, dont feed the squirrels until youve finished your food and start leaving, just like training a dog to behave at a dinner table.
Pretty little park worth walking through. I’ve only been there at night but it was still nice. Close to lots of government buildings which were also nicely lit at night. Lots of benches to sit on.
A perfect spot to meet someone or just to walk a dog. Clean, small but bautifully seated in the middle of the downtown, close to Brooklyn Bridge and cozy shops.

This park is very peaceful in a concrete jungle city, even on a rainy day its beautiful. We tend to forget and pass by the simple things in life.
This is where myself and my friends from Housing Works joined other treatment activists to advocate for more funding support for the screening, prevention and treatment of viral HEPATITIS.The City hall has a long memory of history for house debates and policy reviews and reformation that have helped shape the WDC and American generally.The Mayor office staff are very receptive and accommodating to every groups, activists and community movements who have a genuine cause to present for the betterment of the City.You can visit the City Hall Park, take Photographs and meet people. If you are in need of help, dont be afraid to approach the NYPD Police men and women of dignity. If you see something, dont be scared to say something.
A good place to sit and share conversation. Also if youve been walking and want to take a break there are plenty of benches/tables located away from the streets.

I went for a Rally today and the place was electric with Hope and the Promise of a Just tomorrow. The buildings are beautifully designed and the area is almost pristine. Located by MTA and shops. Quiet, clean and so very Pleasing should you decide to sit amongst the structures or in the Square. A wonderful park is located nearby.
This is my lunch time hangout spot. Its a nice area and the ambiance is dope. You get to see many people walking through the park enjoying their breaks and going back and forth to work.

The park is next to the City Hall - as a result it is the cleanest and neatest park in the city. The City authorities take care of the neighborhood where they work. Can’t say the same about the parks in the City.
A delightful park in the shadow of one of New Yorks most iconic buildings. Much to be preferred to all the vaunted modern skyscrapers, the beautiful Chrysler building excepted.

This park needs a total renovation. You can safely sit in the centered pentagon shaped wooden benches but I wouldnt venture anywhere else in that park for fear of falling through the cracks in the benches!
It’s ok!!! TOO MANY RATS!!! You can hear them fighting the squirrels!!! Very disturbing! In the day while people are moving around, you cannot really hear them, but you SEE THEM!!! Nice to sit under the trees and enjoy the breeze!! Just watch what’s running under your feet!!!

The entertainments and attractions outside of city hall is amazing. The music, the dancers, the paint and drawing artist, the food carts ugghh 🥰. Def something to do while just walking in or around the park on a nice day

City Hall Park is a public park surrounding New York City Hall in the Civic Center of Manhattan. It was the town commons of the nascent city of New York.
It was a nice place to visit and look around.You have the municipal tower,supreme court,and mayor office.Just outside the Brooklyn Bridge.I would suggest to walk from Brooklyn side looking toward Manhattan.View is great and the walk too.
Nice fountain, the water smashing gives a relaxing sensation. You have seats surrounding the ⛲ and be aware of squirrels and pigeons if you want to eat.

Good public park to get rest and have lunch. Not sure of city hall building. If you are in Broadway or near Brooklyn bridge, you can have some rest here in the park.
This was my favorite area of all new York. Less crowded than 5th or 7th avenue mid town, the buildings are both impressive and majestic (not the city hall specially). We were walking south and we almost missed this area on our way to the 9/11 memorial, which would have been the biggest mistake. So many buildings and the start of the Brooklyn Bridge, which we walked to see the sunset from the other side. Loved it.

City Hall Park in my opinion is a nice park, the times Ive been there I get to sit down and just relax and feel safe. Its not a big Park its right outside City Hall and its just a place where pedestrians can go and sit down while in passing.
I love the area of Wall Street and its surroundings. One day I am going to stand right in front of the Alexander Hamilton home and give all praises to Yahwehs grace He put in Alexander Hamilton and how he wrote the codes for the UCC, he completed 56 Laws in a very short span of time. Hallelujah!!!

With a lot of seats around this park provides a nice relaxing spot that you choose. Have your lunch, rest your eyes... Great when the weather is good.
Centered around a wonderful fountain, this park offers pretty views of City Hall, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Woolworth Building. It is not a large park but given the concentration of tall buildings around it and the less pedestrian-friendly tangle of Brooklyn Bridge on ramps to the east, this triangle provides a pleasant place to meet people and relax.

Full disclosure I work for the city so my rating is biased. What am I supposed to publicly say about my boss?It is a nice clean park. I feel safe with all the police around. I would take a star away because of all the rats that come out at the hint of darkness. But, I already said I have to be biased.

It is a very calm place, full of trees, but very clear and sunny, and few people passing by. It is a good place to rest a little. I stopped by after crossing the Brooklin Bridge so it was nice for me. I think as an attraction for tourists it does not deserve any time to visit this place.

2021-09-26A Hidden TreasureFinding trees, flowers, butterflies, art and water fountains in the middle of a concrete jungle is just like an oasis in the middle of a desert.This tiny park is beyond beautiful and it is surrounded by gorgeous buildings. There is no doubt you will be delighted to stop by for a quick visit and see it by yourself. None of my pictures will make real justice to its beauty, so if you are around the World Trade Center, it is nearby, lets say a short waking distance.

2021-08-21Just walked dogs here. They loved the little patch of green admits the concrete city. It’s right off the Brooklyn bridge and had a lot ofTourist sitting/napping on the benches to relax from the pre storm heat. I gave it 5 stars because the area smells a little.

2022-03-05It was a gorgeous day. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge and grabbed a sandwich from a deli and enjoyed ot by the park. Great spot!
