I went to CityMD because I was concerned Id broken my hand the night before. The staff was very friendly and helpful even though it was busy. The x-ray tech was extremely nice and reassuring, the PA showed concern, and the doctor was very nice too. It wasnt a long wait despite the number of people there, and I left knowing I hadnt broken anything. They took my insurance and were local to my home. Ive been to other urgent care places in past and this was probably the best experience Ive had. Definitely will be back again if needed.
The staff (front desk, doctor and doctors assistant) were all very friendly and helpful. The wait was almost nonexistent (went midmorning on a Saturday), and the waiting room & patient room were extremely clean and comfortable. As someone who was feeling really lousy at the time of the visit, I couldnt be more thankful for the quick and easy experience I had.The staff was even friendly, patient and helpful when I called back two days later with a question.Overall, Id definitely recommend this urgent care!
THEY DONT RUN YOUR INSURANCE!!!! Never go here!!!!! I had to go here as a normal urgent care visit and my insurance says that all I have to pay for participating urgent cares in $30. This was a participating urgent care. They charged me $75. And I argued against it and that my insurance says $30, and that they should run it again. The ladies at the front desk started to get nasty with me for asking them to run my insurance. I called my insurance and they said when the bill comes in they will take care of it..... but guess what the bill never came because they DIDNT RUN MY INSURANCE. NEVER GO HERE. ITS A SCAM and everyone there is so rude its disgusting!!!!
Got my name on their waitlist and was texted back in a few hours. Very well organized, and way better than standing in a line for hours like I did over the winter!!! Everyone at the front is very friendly and accommodating. Never had any issues with the doctors or those who help the doctors. Highly recommend this location!
Do not go here Ive been trying to go here for 5 days to get antibiotics for a sinus infection that is spread to my ear and has caused me so much tooth pain that I cant sleep at night and they are prioritizing non symptomatic people who are getting covid tests so that they can go to Christmas and New Years parties instead of prioritization patients with actual medical needs. Also as everyone has stated the woman at the front desk is an absolute nightmare who seems to actually like rejecting patients because she said that thats not her actual facility so she probably wont get in trouble for being such a rude person but Im hoping to get in contact with City MD corporate to speak about her mannerism if anybody happens to run into her they should record their interaction with her to show how absolutely rude she is.
Came in at 7:15pm for an appointment. They are open until 8. We got there and they informed they weren’t taking anymore patients and they had a virtual cue. There was no information on there website of the cue, no were to sign up or check wait times. The women at the desk was unapologetic, rude and far from compassionate in anyway.
I had symptoms of Appenditicis, but my general doctor refused to see me since i was running a fever. Instead, i went to this location to get a covid test just to be on the safe side even though i am fully vaccinated. Luckily, the doctor i saw there was very detailed and was able to recognize the signs for acute appendicitis. She suggested for me to go straight to the ER to have a CT scan done to confirm my symptoms. I followed her instructions, which turned out to be spot on. My white blood cell count was very high, and my appendix was enlarged. The hospital suggested immediate surgery, and i am now home recovering. I am so happy that i was able to get immediate attention at this location, and don’t know what would have happened if i didn’t. I’ve been to this location several times in the past and have always had a good experience, but this was unparalleled. They could have saved my life, and i am very grateful for that.
Ive had great experiences here usually but today was horrendous and the doctor we had was a total a-hole.I had to bring my children in for Covid testing; My son wasnt feeling well and so I took them both in for testing. More importantly, I need my daughter tested. She has an autoimmune disease and if someone in the household gets sick, the rheumatologist needs to adjust her immunosuppressant medication. Her rheumatologist says that if the rapid test comes back negative, she will need to take the PCR test to make sure. The doctor, after getting the results of the rapid test back, didnt want to give her the PCR test. I had to explain AGAIN to him why we needed to. He was really reluctant. My daughter is crying because she is really little and scared of the test so Im trying to calm her down. This doctor who lacks any sort of bedside manner keeps saying, you need to hurry up, I cant stay in here. You guys are positive! Not only did he not have any bedside manner, he also apparently BLIND and DEAF because he did not see how terrified my daughter was and how hard she was crying. Instead, all he cared about was getting himself out of the room ASAP.Dude! If you are so terrified of patients who test positive then WHY ARE YOU IN THE HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY?
Please do not go here. I received no support or care so that was a waste of time. Then I was billed, but no one could explain what the bill was for. I have been trying to call and resolve this since December 2020. It is now being sent to collections because no one has been able to answer my question of what Im being billed for. The last time I spoke to the billing department the person was extremely rude. So I am being penalized for something that no one can explain. I have had to call so many times, be put on hold for 30 minutes-1 hour each time, then no one can answer anything. Said theyd reach out to insurance to see what its for. Didnt do that. Last time, they just made up what the bill was for which contradicted what insurance said. Again please save yourself the headache and dont go here.
They are very organized. Under normal non covid circumstances, youd be seen quickly. All staff is friendly. Process is very well worked out. Doctors are fairly knowledgeable. With covid, they put good measures in place. Plexiglass over receptionist area. Lots of receptionists. Seats blocked off to enforce social distancing. They have a system where you come in, to get on line, then you can leave and they will call you 15min before your time. To reduce amount of people in wait area. Its very busy right now. Probably due to Covid delta spike
I went to the office on December 30th, 2020 for a COVID test. I waited about two hours, however, the security guarded handed out hand warmers and was extremely kind and thoughtful. While in the room with the nurse he was extremely polite and compassionate. In speaking with the doctor; whom I’ve seen multiple times before, he was kind yet again! :) Great place to go to!!! It’s unreal how kind they are.
I now use CityMD as my 1st action. I can just walk in and be seen in 15 - 20 minutes at most. My primary care physician (PCP) takes a month or more to see. Weeks even for a virtual web visit. They sent my directly to labs for any x-ray or sonogram and I got the results within the hour. They do many tests in their office and send out but thats what my PCP does too.
Clean facility. I was greeted so warmly and pleasantly. I was only there for a Covid test (negative, thank goodness!) and they even recommended other places to go for faster results. Dr. Kim was very nice and reassuring. James was sweet and put me at ease. They said the test would take 5 -7 days but I got the results in less than 3 (Sundays dont count). Highly recommend this facility if you cant get to your doctor.3/21 update: James is still very sweet! Our results were back in 24 hours!
Luckily I was shown mercy and was able to take covid 19 test after sharing that my mother is currently in the hospital and positive and that my little brother didn’t have anyone else who could sign his consent forms. However the person who was behind me and waited hours was not shown the same treatment and the registration ladies kicked him out in the most inhumane way possible. We are in a pandemic, people are dying and need help, if you’re going to be working the front line show sympathy understanding and compassion. If there’s not enough tests it’s understandable but don’t giggle after you kick someone out. So repulsive and unprofessional
Like 3rd world country healthcare... packed inside. Packed outside.. 50% of patients dont speak english so takes longer for each patient.. you cant check in with your phone.. need to use their pad thats totally infected with whatever the person before you has... took covid test on day 5 still no results blahahaa.. all other places you get it back next day or 2days max
Sadly for me I have had to go twice now, but I have been pleased with my visits both times. First off I am a fan of the electronic sign in, quick and painless after first registration. The waiting room is large, clean, and welcoming. Both times my wait to go back was short. Saw a Physicians Assistant once second visit an MD. Both providers were kind, complete explanation of diagnosis and treatment plan. Check out just as simple.
I went in to get a Rapid COVID test. Yes, there was a long line, which is to be expected right now. However, once inside, everyone who works there was very polite, kind, respectful, and friendly. Shocking really, given how hard they are all working right now, and with barely a second to take a break. Very long days, every day. Yet still doing their jobs with a smile on their faces, even behind the masks. Thankful for their crew!
Always available immediately!Very accommodating and patient care centered. This is my go to for all urgent health matters. They are willing to listen to what you want and need and provide you with competent and courteous medical advice and care. Thanks for always being there for me and my family CityMD!
Do due to the circumstances beyond their control I had wait outside about 20 minutes, give or take. Once inside went very quickly. Dr was just okay. He told me what he thought was wrong, I told him how I felt about his diagnosis. And we compromised. Okay for an emergency not overly impressed with medical care.
Worst urgent care ever! My son in law went in for abdominal pain and low grade fever. They did not bother with a COVID test and the dr just put him on cipro antibiotic and sent him home. Charged him $200 and didn’t even exam him. 7 days later I took him in for a COVID test the dr there examined him and sent him to the ER . Thankfully he got to the hospital in time... ruptured appendix!!!!!! The only thing Citymd is good for is taking up space. And the staff is rude and condescending with the exception of the older woman who was very helpful. Don’t go here unless you want to be misdiagnosed
Dr. Rodriguez was extremely rude. Not nice at all, no compassion or empathy.... Find a different profession dude, and the receptionists, they were picking and choosing who they wanted to be nice too.... The medical assistant who did my vitals, was very nice, she was the only one!!!
In and out in a half hour with an x ray and an answer. This was all 2 hours before they closed on a Friday while they continuously helped people with rapid covid tests and everyone else that walked in. They were extremely organized and very helpful. I will be going to them again when I need medical services.
The staff seem friendly/nice however I was there to get a Covid19 test and I was stuck waiting on line for over 4 hours in the freezing cold standing outside theres no reason why they couldnt do an appointment or sign-in sheet and then wait in your car to be called on your cell phone to go inside. instead of making people stand out in the freezing cold around the corner/back of the building I will not be using this place again to get a covid test
9/2020 and 12/2020Two visits, two different locations for Covid testing and both were clean, organized, with consistent protocol and super pleasant staff!I Called multiple times before arriving with quick response time and honest answers relating to wait time and setting expectations. Refreshing!
Never had a problem before only with this Dr.Steven Zimmerman this guy always has some kind of attitude problem like why are u disturbing me, went in for a back ache tell him everything reply was what do you want me to do ??? Your the doc. Have pain gives me a Doc. Note for 1day??? Back pain shouldnt you recommend rest besides meds , if you dont want to be there dont go simple hope i dont get u a 3rd time i will walk out
Due to COVID, I was asked to leave name and come back when a room was ready. I was texted to come back and was greeted by a security guard that was very professional in the Commack NY office. The City MD team was great and followed all around protection. Thank you all at Cuty MD.
Urgent care took me in right away I was dizzy and my blood pressure was up it was scary Urgent Care doctor was excellent it ended up it was a very bad infected tooth I told my DENTIST how good they were to me and that they knew the problem..,Thank you all very much Specially the urgent care 👨⚕️ Doctor!
I work down the road from here and went because I was feeling very sick and needed a doctor. The wait wasnt long...about 15 minutes so that was fine. The people behind the desk were very helpful and even showed me how to use the iPad to sign in. However, I was incredibly disappointed with Dr.Rodriguez or Riverez...I wasnt feeling well and dont remember exactly. He was in this 30s or 40s. He was incredibly short with me, even when I tried asking him simple questions. I am the daughter of a doctor and a nurse, so I had some very simple yet important questions about side effects and things like that. He gave me very brief answers but was not friendly and seemed like he couldnt care less. He called in a prescription to my cvs so I headed right there (port jeff station, so it took almost an hour). When I got there, they said that he never called in the prescription so I called CityMD office and asked them to resent it. I had to do this twice because the pharmacy still wasnt getting the order. Overall, just not happy with the whole situation and I wish that Stathealth offices werent being taken over by CityMD as I always had such positive experiences there!
Do not go here, they use Sunrise labs and it’s been 5 days today and I am still awaiting my results for COVID-19 I’ve called and staff was not caring at all. I also called Sunrise labs and the representative was unprofessional and actually hung up on me yesterday. When I called to ask why is it taking so long when others that I know who tested after me at Northwell received their results from Northwell, her answer was ‘Northwell is so much bigger than us they have priority over our clinics’ !wrong answer!
My son needed staples in his head. We arrived and before I finished the paperwork they had my son in theRoom and the doctor was in with in minutes. The woman doctor was excellent. Explained evrything and staples were in. My son is 3 cried for a second and we were done within 5 minutes literally. Going back today to have staples removed..
Went to City MD on Tuesday morning for a Covid test, they said would take 3-5 days. When the 3rd day came & no results, I called they said its only been 3 days it takes 3-5 days. It is Saturday the 5th day and still no results...I called again ... NOW they say 5 to 7 DAYS!!! Apparently, City MD switched labs for covid tests and now instead of their previous average 2 day results it takes 5 to 7 days! Well guess what?...today is the 7th day and YES you got it NO RESULTS! This is unacceptable. CITY MD SWITCH BACK TO YOUR PREVIOUS LAB!
Long winded. I fell down the steps carrying four boxes after my shoe broke. I went there and sister asks the receptionist for a wheel chair. We are pulled up in front but he brings the chair to the curb, I hurt both feet. He doesnt make any effort to help me into the wheel chair. The doctor was great. The x-ray tech told me he would not helpme on the table.. seriously!? My mom helped me and he made no effort to assist. Taking the x-ray he kept grabbing my leg pulling and pushing it after I asked him to stop..I asked him where he needed me to put them so I can help move it to the position needed without him hurting me. Taking the x-rays he can clearly see its fractured and he continues to move my foot then drag the little plate underneath it saying hes the tech and need to touch the leg. I had another x-ray and the tech told me where she needed the leg and took perfect x-rays. Leaving the table he again refuses to help trying to hit my foot with the wheel chair. He gets my mom to help me back into the chair and didnt lock the wheel chair telling my mother to do it. Finally Ive had enough and told him he should me doing that. He then proclaims he did but because i moved the locked wheel chair it unlocked itself. I told him to put it in writing and then he suddenly changed his tune..I just hopped off the table with the fractured left leg and sprained right leg unlocked the chair and hopped back on the table?! After the nurse was great wrapped my foot. The doctor did come back in but avoided talking about the issue. Twenty minutes later left in the room waiting for someone to help me back to the car with my mom. Lets just say no one was eager to assist. A good samaritan ended up helping me. Save time go else where unless you have a common cold or small scratch.
From start to finish 10/10 they were friendly and helpful getting me signed in (including setting up my account with them), actually seeing me within minutes and then making sure I understood and was comfortable with the treatment needed (basically that I knew how to use an inhaler).
Dr. Louis Filippone was AWESOME... VERY helpful and friendly. Everyone here was AWESOME. The woman came from behind the counter and helped me sign in as a first-time patient there. Dr. Filippone filled out the paperwork I need for my employer. VERY THANKFUL for their help and kindness. God Bless them.
On october 3 i went to urgent care for a walk in checkup. i have to say i really enjoyed the company and the hospitality of the people there. they are really friendly & helped me out with my questions & needs, & also provide fast medical help. i highly recommend going there.
I have 3 kids and I will never be going back to this place again. I visited their Commack location last year when my daughter had an ear infection. I asked them how much for the visit they ask me if I had insurance. I asked again how much for the visit. Again they asked if I had insurance. I said how much if I dont have insurance they told me $105, but if I had an insurance card I should give it to them. So guess what I get billed $231 for the visit. I asked for a break down of the fees there was only one fee which was the visit.I called and they refused to discount the bill. They offered 10% off their bloated fee. I dont care if you feel you need to play these games with the insurance company to get paid, but dont steal money from families. Thieves!I cant afford to pay double the price because I supposedly have insurance. What a joke. You will no longer have my business. I will bring my children elsewhere and will urge my friends and family to do the same! You are officially boycotted!
I really wish this place would shut down so an urgent care that will actually HELP people can come in. It’s so so frustrating. I come here because there is no other place other than a hospital. The care is always horrible. I have never once left with a solution to feeling unwell.Seriously? Please go out of business.

2022-06-18It’s a great feeling knowing you have somewhere to turn when you’re sick. The whole staff here really cares. I was treated very well here… They are very competent, …. I would highly recommend this to anybody that needs medical help. You hardly ever have to wait, they take you right in. I’m just so glad they’re here in my neighborhood.

2022-04-27Quick, easy, and painless walk in process. Other urgent care facilities in the area do not accept walk ins so easily. Very kind and attentive nurse and doctor. Highly recommend!

2022-06-033 days after my visit I have still not received my prescription because neither the doctor nor the follow up team supplied info required from my insurance company. This is despite repeated assurances that they would. Clear lack of interest in treating the patient.

2022-05-11I visited this office on 05/07/2022 for my sick daughter. her doctors office was closed so this was the next best thing to get her treated. I was advised by the doctor to come back if her condition had worsened. I returned today 05/11/22 because her condition did just that. it worsened and yet again her primary is closed. after being seen by the doctor, I informed the receptionist whos name is chris that I will need a note and was instructed to ask for it at the front desk. but unfortunately Chris gave me trouble and refused to give me the paperwork stating she was seen in the office.he printed out her visit summary which has my daughters personal information and clearly states the date of her visit but this was not needed. I asked for a general statement that my daughter was seen in the office without her personal information but he refused and gave me a number for after care to contact. This service was absolutely disgusting. He spoke in a condescending tone and dismissed me in front of my daughter. Absolutely disgusted.

2022-05-23My son has been treated at the Commack office multiple times. My son is mentally and physically disabled and was always treated with respect and compassion. As his parents we were explained all tests, results and treatments. When in need, we recommend CityMD without reservations.

2022-03-16The doctors and PAs are amazing but the front desk staff is definitely a challenge. They do not assist and send you to the “kiosk” and are on their cell phones instead of helping the patients.

2022-05-16The doctors and staff were so thorough, patient, kind. I was so impressed with the care I received that I recommend CityMD to my friends and family.

2021-10-14This place is absolutely phenomenal! I see reviews all the time about people complaining about things that have nothing to do with the staff here (i.e long hold times with aftercare, personal belongings not being returned knowing that you are responsible for your own things, testing turn around times being too long) but no one ever takes a minute to appreciate them. These staff members are overworked and constantly being cursed out and screamed at by rude, disrespectful, and entitled people and they take it like champs! The ladies (and one gentleman) at the front are top notch and you can tell just how well they all work together. They maintain composure and professionalism to a standard like no other. This site, from what I have seen, is also the most flexible when it comes to emergencies As for the staff in the back...WOW! they are by far the best staff in the rooms I have ever encountered. They are patient, understanding, and you can tell how observant they are with symptoms and medical needs before you even see the provider. I tell people all the time that if they want a pleasant experience, go to this site. They make it worth while. And, if youre nice to them, they actually give you a great laugh your entire time there. Give this entire site a raise. They deserve it

2022-03-02Came in about a month ago for a PCR test; my employer required a negative test result to return to work.My PCR sample was taken and never processed causing me to miss an entire work week before a second test could be administered and have its results generated.Mistakes happen, but this CityMD caused me a semi-significant loss of income and theyre lucky I dont take this matter to small claims court

2021-12-20DO NOT GO HERE FOR PCR TESTING!!!Waiting for my PCR test for almost 6 days now! After you wait in line standing outside for hours they rapid test you. Is you pass the rapid they recommend you take a PCR. Have any symptoms? Yes? Then they tell you to quarantine/isolate until the PCR comes back. Ok. Expect that’s a week!! Turned my life upside down and spent about $1,200 on sick days at work meanwhile I feel fine. Thanks CityMD. If I legit have Covid no problem siting home. But this is by far the slowest test in town. Go anywhere else. Pay the money. Rapid test sure, go nuts here. Even tho they work half the time anyway. Pcr is the real test and they’re to slow to rely on.
