Dr. Hong Choi is truly an amazing doctor. He was incredibly kind, caring and compassionate, at a time when I was in pain. He followed up with me throughout the next few days to make sure I was okay. His medical assistant and front desk staff were also very professional and helpful. I am so thankful to him and his staff.
I went today for my first time ever to an urgent care clinic and it was amazing. I waited less than 10 minutes before I met an assistant and then the Doctor. He was efficient and provided me medication. I would definitely recommend this location and clinic. It is also way cheaper and quicker than the ER. Also, loved how clean and modern the space is. 5/5 for sure! You wont be disappointed.
The doctor be called HumanBot. I had a very low grade pain on and off for a week so decided to have it checked out, just in case. The doctor insisted I do a pregnancy test even though I’m 49 and told her I have no chance of a pregnancy! Wanted to X-ray my abdomen. When I asked her what she was looking for, she said that the X-ray really won’t tell you much except gas. I was bloated! Did not even bother to examine my stomach properly.Asked me to rush to the ER even when I told her that I had just stood for two hours to cook and walked 2 miles. Moreover, when I objected to going to the ER during Covid she said I was safer in the ER then in the City MD office which does not separate out the Covid patients from others!
I’ve been here a couple times now and I wish all medical care was like this. The wait is short, they actually listen to what I have to say without being dismissive, test thoughroughly and offer up solutions and assurance. The staff are helpful and kind and the facilities are comfortable. They’re pros at handling my insurance too (which all my other dr.s seem to struggle with).
I was to get the rapid covid test. I went at 9 am and they added me to the online waitlist and after 2 hours they message me. Youbhave 30 min to go back to the clinic and I waited less than 5 minutes to get tested. I got my results within 20 min. Everybody was very kind and helpful
I was reluctant to go to this clinic since there was no reviews, but it was so close to my hotel that I decided to just pass by to take a look. I went in. The front desk gentleman Brian was very kind and always with a smile. He helped me to check if my insurance covered. The doctors assistant was a nice girl. Lucky me the Dr was a female Dr since I didnt want to discuss my issue with a man. She even offered me to do a lab test. She prescribed me and all went fine. I needed to post this review since I know how helpful they can be. I recommend this place. I hope they keep going on with the good service.
OMG what a nightmare. Went there for a simple blood work, for which I needed same day results. In spite of what is written on the website, that is totally impossible, and the nurse made fun of me when I asked for same day results. She said in a very condescending tone we are an emergency facility, not a lab. So 1) website is badly wrong, 2) what if you need blood work due to an emergency? On the top of that waiting with people coughing and sneezing, so I left with no blood work but maybe with Covid. A place to avoid absolutely...
My regular doctor was unavailable so I walked in to this location today.....first off the office was extremely clean, staff was very welcoming and efficient. Waited maybe 10 minutes to see the doctor. Wad evaluated quickly and they helped me right away with a chronic condition I suffer from. Without them I would not have managed the wait for my regular doctor next week. Thank you so much! Highly recommend!
The staff was nice but they want to be quick without properly diagnosing you. I came in with congestion and a very bad cough. The dr right away said antibiotics and prednisone (which is pretty strong). She never was able to tell me what was wrong with me. She just said whatever infection you have the antibiotics will clear it up and sent me on my way. The next day I was coughing even more to the point where I couldn’t breathe and kept throwing up. I had to go to a different urgent care. They don’t care about proper diagnosis. They just want to give you generic medication without looking deeper so they can be fast.
AMAZING! I have been to this particular location twice. Both times I was seen very quickly; hardly had to wait even ten minutes. I was there before noon both times. The staff and doctors are always professional, courteous, friendly and accommodating. HIGHLY recommend this location. I will continue to use them for my urgent care needs.
The admin staff was very nice and very helpful. Even the nurses were really nice and helpful. This 1-star rating is purely because of the interaction my mother and I had with the doctor. I brought my mother here because she had been sick for over a week, gotten better and then sick again. She had a really nasty cough. Within the first 30 seconds of walking in the room and Without even touching her he diagnosed her with an infection in her lungs and said he was going to prescribe her antibiotics. He then gave her the option of whether or not she wanted her to have an x-ray and went as far as to tell her that his course of action likely wouldn’t change with the x-ray. I insisted that she have an x-ray to rule out anything because of my mothers age. The doctor then ordered the x-ray. But while we were awaiting the results, I talked to the nurse again about her symptoms and my concerns and he then said he wanted to test her for the flu. THIS WAS THE NURSE!! She was tested for the flu and we waited for those results also. The doctor comes back in a few minutes later and says the x-ray is clear and he was going to order the antibiotics. He then told her she was free to leave. I asked him about the results of the flu test. He said he needed to check them. He walks over to the flu test (which was still in the same room we were in) and says “oh, it’s positive for the flu”. He then quickly puts on a medical mask😷 and says he is no longer going to order the antibiotics but something else (Tamiflu sp?). I’m not usually one to write reviews but I felt I needed to share this. PEOPLE ARE DYING FROM THE FLU. My mother is almost 60 years old and to not have the doctor rule out EVERYTHING is disheartening. The only reason we got to this point is because I have a wife that is a wonderful nurse and she has taught me the right questions to ask. Had it not been for that, we would have been in and out of the clinic in 15 minutes with a misdiagnoses and meds that would have done nothing to help here. Hope this helps someone in the future. Please do not go here. And if you have to go, be deligent and ask all the questions you have and share all of your concerns. Maybe you too will get a nurse that cares like we did.
Be prepared to wait and wait and wait and wait. The intake nurse gave me the wrong form to fill out, as by gave I mean never handed it to me but placed it on a table nowhere near me nor told me to fill it out nor even provided a pen to fill it out. So when a different nurse came and we realized it was the wrong form I had to wait alone for a while for the first nurse to come in and bring the correct form. Same thing happened again. She placed it on the table nowhere near me without a word and no pen.Very strange woman and quite anti-social. Perhaps she was going through a bad day but she needs to learn how to interact with people or else find a different line of work. So after I got a pen to fill out the correct form the second nurse disappeared again for a while. Its a very simple form that I completed in a minute but I was waiting alone for another long stretch. So after that wait the 2nd nurse came in finally with the doctor.I was at Citymd for 1 hour and 45 minutes. For a simple checkup on an injury. My phone was off and charging so I dont know how long I was in that room. But most likely for at least an hour, mostly by myself.Perhaps this could have been avoided if I specified that the visit was being covered by workers comp when I signed in, but I assumed it would be because I saw that information when I was signing in. Also Ive visited different Citymds before and doctors saw me even before I was able to complete the workers comp form. I guess this location has different protocols. I felt like I was being punished for an honest mistake.I hate to give this place a 1 star review because everyone besides the 1st nurse was great, from the front desk to the doctor. 2 stars might do it but then I remember waiting alone for an absurdly long time and the 1st nurses weird behavior. Plus with so many other locations Id say avoid this location if you can.
First time Patient- This was THE BEST care I have received in a long time! Not only was it quick service, it was quality service and Dr Dypah Nesheiwat was excellent!! They even called me a few days later to check on how I was feeling. Definitely recommend to all family and friends in the area!
I went in with a bad cough and the staff was so helpful so kind thank God it turned out to only be bronchitis which I get every year anyway nothing that I couldnt handle at first I thought it might be covid and they were caring and helpful and I appreciate them I would recommend anybody to go there
Time and time again, cityMD has been there for me when I have urgent health issues and my doctor cannot see me quickly and I dont want to go the ER. The doctors are very knowledgeable, the assistants and other staff are very professional, understanding and kind. I always get what I need, they are excellent with follow up, and overall I feel safer knowing I live close to one of these. They are the best! Thank you!
They write on their pamphlets and the website just walk in. You walk in more than an hour to close and they say you must have an online appointment. They will not help you book an appointment elsewhere and the other city MDs are also booked to closing with no availability.
I hurt my back last week while trying out some sports. I could not move to the right nor could I even put my pants on. I walked into the urgent care here and got some shot...the pain relieved a little bit. The staff is courteous and the doctor did care. I still have pain so Im not sure when I will be 100%, but for now, it did the job.
After I saw my primary for a post viral fatigue, and while I was still suffering from symptoms I went to this clinic because it was closer to my work. Dr Choi saw me . Without any examination (he didn’t come closer than 4 feet !!!) he concluded that I have to go back to my primary and suggested if I want !! He can run some test. I was puzzled and told him you are the dr and should be able to examine and tell me if I am sick or not. He got so upset and started telling me about his 20 years of experience and then continued lecturing about the importance of having a primary dr and said if you are not in good term with your dr !! I can introduce you to some. I told him I am in good term with my primary . I am just here today because I feel so fatigued that I think I need an urgent attention. He got up and left saying that he is canceling the appointment!!! I THOUGHT DRS CANT DENY A TREATMENT TO A PATIENT. Is that even a legal thing to do. I left because I just didn’t have a bit of energy to argue. But had to see another dr near by who took me serious. Got an iron infusion because of severe iron deficiency. This stupid, negligent, unprofessional full of attitude Dr Choi has to be fired immediately not from cityMD but put on probation because of his denial of treatment. I have documentation to show how medically urgent the situation was and how neglectfully and irresponsibly he dismissed me.
Staff was very nice however, Doctor ordered antibiotics for a very bad infection at my abdomen, of course I haven’t see the prescription it was direct order to pharmacy through internet prescription, when I get antibiotics I see that it was only for 7 days and which I knew it wouldn’t be enough to get rid of this infection, 5 inches diameter, so I told doctor back they said I have to go back to doctor!! Why would I do that he should have write enough antibiotics in the beginning, in-fact after seven days medicine finished Infection go down 5 inches to one inch yet still open wound and redness at the skin. they told me to go to doctor again!! My problem was my left wrist and ankle is broken, I wouldn’t able to go there again, he should have write two weeks even a dumb person can tell after see the wound this is not enough antibiotics.
It was a nice experience, very professional and caring, took my covid test I less than 20 minutesI gave my name & phone number in the early morning, got tex back in the evening, they had a lot of patients in the list , I was ok waiting for my tex , it was in and out , thank you
It’s always something this place and I don’t understand stand why they are able to turn you always when you want a covid test especially when it take a 3-5 minsI went there today and was turned away said they don’t accept people at 4pm and it wasn’t even 4pm yet just HORRIBLE
Lovely people and efficient staff. Stupid rules.I was in such leg pain that I needed to take a taxi 2 blocks to get there. By the time I arrived I was not able to walk. A good samaritan walked in and asked for a wheelchair to come to the sidewalk. . They would only bring the wheelchair to the door and not to the sidewalk where I was holding on to the lamppost for dear life with tears in my eyes . 3 people came out to help get me to the wheelchair 8 feet away At that moment it occurred to me that I should go to NYU emergency but the taxi had left. I ended up at nyu anyway after I saw the doctor.Really .someone who is in that much pain cant get wheeled 8 feet. Who even thought to put that stupid rule in place?
My health insurance is expired and open enrollment doesnt begin until November 16th. I needed some more blood pressure medication because I have hypertension and high blood pressure. I went into the urgent medical care for a prescription and they only gave me a 30-day prescription with no refills. Essentially extorting me for an additional $200 for next month in order for me to go back and get another 30 days in time before my health insurance is renewed. My health insurance is only $50 a month, as I am unable to afford much. City MD prescribed me 60 days of medication last time previously when I was there for an ear infection. Its ridiculous to not give me at least 1 refill in time for my health insurance to renew.Your company extortert s extorting me, taking advantage of the fact I dont have medical insurance over something small.Disturbing you would sanction that
Very kind receptionist and assistant staff but the PA who treated me did not know how to properly assess or treat my injury, and was offensive to boot, wasting my time and forcing me to go to another urgent care center where the treatment I received was night and day compared to this facility. I would not come back to this CityMD.
We did very well to go there. We went to get tested for COVID to travel and the attention of their staff was excellent from the first moment. Although a queue was formed for the tests, they made an appointment so that you did not have to wait in the street, which is appreciated with the cold weather. They gave us the results super fast and they even printed them out to show them at the airport.

2021-12-13People are great, but they switched to a “make everyone wait outside in line” instead of “check in and we will text you when to come back” because from a business perspective they feared it was bringing business down. Now you have dozens and dozens of sick people waiting down the block in 40 degree winter weather, instead of giving people the option of waiting at home till their time a slot. Healthcare in America.

2022-07-08I was seen by a doctor whose name I couldnt quite make out on her ID card - it looked like surname Mithani or Mishani. She was curt, abrupt and rude. She did not listen to me and interrupted me 5 times before I stopped counting. This doctors bedside manner prevented me from feeling comfortable and destroyed any trust I might have had in her. She told me she wanted to order chest X-rays, an EKG and other tests after listening to my heart and determining Your lungs are clear. I gently asked the reasons for these tests and she couldnt really provide an answer, other than to say to determine whether I needed to go to the ER for a heart attack. I said we both were probably in agreement I was not having a heart attack and she interrupted me and ignored me. I politely informed her that I felt uncomfortable, didnt feel I was being listened to and asked if I might ask a question uninterrupted and her response was, Are you refusing medical care? Are you saying you dont want to be assessed? Do you only want a COVID test? That is not at all what I said and I felt at that point, she was only being combative and it was time for me to leave. Had I been seriously ill or actually at risk of a heart attack, the doctors poor manners and refusal to provide proper medical care could have caused serious harm. This is very disappointing. Additionally, the over prescription of unnecessary tests is hardly a positive either.

2022-01-05GET IN WRITING THAT YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE.City MD told me they would not charge me for anything because I was covered under golden rule insurance. 5 months later they bill me HEAVY. My insurance covers $125 per visit and I was left to pay for $125.I mentioned this on the social media, and the only person who responded was a random FB account saying I seemed fake. I went to the profile, the WOMEN WHO POSTED WORKS AT CITY MD. Had to send screenshots to prove this.DO NOT TRUST THEM.

2021-10-12Horrible customer service: disorganized and will put you on hold for 33 minutes!!!I went in the clinic due to a bad stomachache. they ran a bunch of tests and the doctor said its all good. a month later, i log into the quest diagnostic website to check the result and find out one thing they tested is not normal. i was surprised that the doctor told me that it was all good back then. second, when i tried to call in, the admin has no idea how to reach their doctor and she said she would put me on hold for over half an hour!!!! AWEFUL!I called them again, and the person who picked up the phone just hung up on me when i asked them nicely to leave a message to the physician. what kind of service is this?!!????CityMD as a whole is horrible at customer service!!!!!!!!!! Shame!!!!!!!!

2021-11-22I’ve been to this location several times and I think they’re great. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. I see other reviews on here complaining about wait times, but that’s true for really any medical office. Also, it seems to be significantly less busy than other city MD locations.

2021-07-23I would like to preface this review with the 1-star rating not being for this location, but for CityMD as a whole. I visited this location on Tuesday exhibiting symptoms of streptococcal pharyngitis, commonly known as strep throat. My rapid test was negative, but a culture was sent out and this morning my portal showed that my culture was positive for strep. I was left a voicemail around 8AM letting me know that they would like to discuss my options with me and gave me a phone number to call back. I have never regretted missing a phone call so much in my life. As soon as I woke up around 8:30AM, I called back for the first time. I waited on hold for 30 minutes before calling this location about obtaining a prescription, to which I was directed to another number where I waited for almost two hours. After giving up I took a break and called back the original number twice this afternoon and waited over an hour and thirty minutes. Not once did I receive a follow-up phone call from the original message early this morning. I had to reach out to another physician to get them to call in the prescription for me because CityMD had left me out to dry. Strep is so common that people forget that if left untreated there can be severe consequences. The Pennsylvania Department of Health published a document in which it stated, [a]lthough rare, severe cases of strep can cause pneumonia, organ failure, long-term heart problems, life- threatening skin infection, arm/leg amputations, and death. Additionally, I am also extremely contagious until I receive antibiotics for at least 24 hours. Luckily, I am young and have been able to fight off this infection as best as I can and I have been able to reach out to other medical professionals who can get me the help I need. However, CityMD should be ashamed of the way they treated me as a patient. This will be my first and last time going to any CityMD. If you need to actually receive medical help I would not recommend CityMD, unless all of your needs do not require any sort of follow-up from your initial visit. Again, I am sad this review is tainting this specific site because the staff were quite nice to me, however this was truly astonishing treatment from a provider who could not care less if I got the treatment I needed. I am shocked.

2021-10-22The front desk staff are extremely rude. They just argued with a patient in a desperate situation who came 6 minutes after 7pm - which is apparently their closing time. But on both Google Maps and Apple Maps, it clearly says 8pm!

2021-01-04The visit during this pandemic required a bit of patience due to the huge demand/number of patients. After arriving early in the AM and leaving name & number, got a text message asking to return for the visit/examination.The Physicians Assistant that attended to me was EXCELLENT. Very professional, cautious and understanding. Since the PA was not familiar with my medical history, we discussed my immediate concerns and other medical factors.Even with the large number of patients requiring attention, the PA (Michael Bentley) did not rush my examination, ensured I understood his diagnosis and the testing recommended, included a short discussion of communicating my visit to my primary care physician.Once completed and I departed, I left with the feeling that the care was excellent, professional, personal and well done.

2020-12-09I highly recommend this place. The waiting room is very clean and seating is arranged for proper social distancing. Wait time is minimal. The staff is polite and caring. Dr Choi is very friendly and thoroughly explains everything. My appointment was seamless. They even made me a same day appointment and called in my prescription to the pharmacy.
