I had been sick for almost a week with nothing I bought over-the-counter helping in the slightest. I came here on a Friday afternoon desperate for help and CityMD came through in every way. The front desk staff were very polite and accommodating, and Matthew and Dr. McNamara showed incredible care and concern for my condition. Dr. McNamaras prescriptions got me right back on my feet in no time, and I cant thank them enough as my first day of class was Monday. I highly recommend this location and will definitely be returning in the future!
July 3rd: I Called CityMD to inquire where there any available to treat an eye irritation.I made sure to ask, would there be a long wait before I could see a Doctor.I was told yes there was a doctor available and they could see me right away.I arrived at your facility, checked in and put in an examining room where I sat for about an hour plus.I complained to an Aide about how long I had been there and like magic, a Doctor appeared. Not only did this Doctor not give me any type of medication to help with the discomfort I was suffering she seemed to know very little about eyes. After Googling, I found information on an over the counter eye drop that solved the problem. CityMD was not on their game this day.
I only came to drop a 5-star review for Dr Janette Nesheiwat, she took the time to examine my lungs and conducted a comprehensive consultation. My previews experiences in CityMD have been bad - and it’s a bummer that they don’t have the virtual waiting line anymore. Stars for the Dr: 5. For CityMD: 2
I highly recommend this place! The staff is professional and so gracious. I had a wonderful experience with Dr Barrett and the nurse(whose name escapes me, she said she was from Ghana). And the gentleman out front deserves a medal for his calm handling of the impatient & rude people in line waiting to be seen. Many thanks to you all!
The guy receptionist who works here was very unprofessional and rude on the phone. He didnt take the time out to hear what I had to say, instead he rudely transferred my call. I understand this location might be busy, but each patient from walk-in to a phone call is equally important. Receptionist are the face of the location. Their personalities, respect and understanding is what bring a patient back to their location in case of emergency. I have to say because of him, I will never come back or refer anyone to this location. Please replace him.
Rude staff and doctors, just try to squeeze as many patients without giving proper treatment. Avoid this place at all costs, had to get a second opinion and everything I was told at this CityMD was all wrong, the doctor was baffled by the poor quality of care I received.Just to get blood drawn you will have to wait an absurd amount of time, overall a horrid experience.
I went on August 30th for a covid test as I was scheduled to travel the next day overseas and needed it for entry. I got a positive result and despite being vaccinated, having no known exposure, no symptoms and my husband teesting negative, the personnel at city md advised me not to retest as they claimed the antigen tests were highly accurate. I did retest under the advise of my husband and family and the pcr came negative as well as multiple antigen tests. If I had not tested and followed the advice of city md, I would have cancelled my whole trip and put a lot of strain into my overall mind health as I am pregnant too. It is importabt that centers like city md where they literally test hundreds of people at the same time should make people aware of the high likelihood of getting false positives due to human error.
The staff were all very nice and incredibly accommodating. Literally, Ive gotten better care with this clinic than with my regular GP. Also they followed up with my lab results, making sure that I received them and understood what they meant. The waiting area and office were all clean and — they took me in immediately. Very impressed by this facility
I had a great experience with CityMD this week. I went in for a covid test and as it was my first time I wasnt sure what to expect. They were so professional and attentive and I was so happy with the service and also that a doctor did the actual test and was friendly and reassuring. I felt completely safe with their Covid cleaning protocols and how comfortable they made it while I waited.
Went there 1/5/2021, after my X-ray I was told the machine is not working so I didn’t get a copy of my X-ray, I was also told I’ll get a call the next day to set up an appointment to see an Orthopedic I received that call on the 7th, I explained to the person that I am at work and in the middle of service and asked if I could call back in an hour to set up the appointment, she then told me that since I don’t have time to do it now I should make the appointment by myself, then she hung up.Worst service.Would not recommend and definitely would not go back there.
Amazing Experience! I have been avoiding getting blood work for 8 years. But I recently got sick and took it as an opportunity to knock out two things at once. After signing in, they saw me almost immediately (I had no appointment - just walked in). The doctors assistance was very nice, and did her work quickly and professionally. Then the doctor came I saw me a few mins later and was super nice, gentle, and informative. Lastly the blood tech came in and again was very nice, talkative, and helped me relax during blood extraction. They even provided me with a Gatorade free of charge. When I checked out the receptionist was also very friendly and informative. The whole medical office is pristine. Im definitely coming back here next time Im sick or need a physical.
I always have a had a great service in general, pre and during Covid pandemic. The staff is compassionate and always willing to help. Doing their best to make sure they can attend people while being tested for covid is a lot of work and this City MD has always done a great job.
My first visit to this location and Dr. Keating was VERY thorough. Because the office walls are paper thin you do hear just about everything and in listening to his conversations with other patients and my own personal interaction with him told me I was definitely in the right place for treatment. Although I was sent directly to the ER from there he wanted to make sure my complaints were not life threatening. Thank you Dr. K.
Very professional, courteous staff the first time I was here. Second time around, I am waiting with my sick daughter outside in the cold for an hour. Third time, you have a system in place that you can wait at home and once your appointment is coming up, you send us a text. Once in, the staff is very nice and efficient
This facility is exceptional...if there were more than 5 stars to allocate, I would certainly post a 10 out of 10! I wanted to get a Co-vid19 test at a facility in my neighborhood. I selected this CityMD because it is near my apartment and received several great on-line reviews. Brand new facility - spotless, 100% compliant with co-vid protocols. I logged in with some assistance from one of the team from the front desk. Within 10 minutes I was ushered into a exam room. Vitals were taken, a Q & A, then an attending physician came in and administered the test. My results were available in 15 minutes. The level of professionalism was extraordinary, providing me with a level of confidence that I selected the very best of clinic care. Thank you CityMD 50th Urgent Care!!!
Came in on Wednesday and was given many tests. Told I had a viral infection. I was called Friday and told I had strep and they would call in a prescription for me. When I went to pick up my prescription on Saturday it had not been called in. When I called I was transferred to aftercare where I was put on hold for two hours and then was disconnected. Feeling too sick to walk the mile back to the office to speak to someone.
I have been to this CityMD twice in the past 10 months. The first due to a fall in the street where I cut my face above my eye. Not only did they clean the cut but also recommended a scan of my head (due to age 70+) to assure no brain damage. The second time was during this last weekend when we went to get Covid-19 tests required because we had flown into JFK from LAX on the 5th day after we landed which turned out to be a Sunday. CityMD was within walking distance. No wait time and received results within 2 days. Very good experience both times.
Dr. Weiku Chen saved my life 2 years ago. I went with a leg pain and he said I should get x-rays. I was hard headed and went home. He called me on a Tuesday night at 8PM to follow up and said I was playing with my health and I needed to go to the ER first thing in the morning ( Ive never seen a doctor called at night!) I went the next morning and they admitted me with Deep Vein Thrombosis. If it wasnt for him I wouldnt be here today! Thank you Dr. Chen!
I went there to get the COVID testing and I didn’t know but they told me they had a lot of people so they will ask for your name and number to call you. They call me the next day so I go. As I was trying to check-in, the machine told me something went wrong and to go to the front desk for help. So here I go to the lady at the front desk. I literally said “uhh something wen...” she cut off my sentence so quick and told me to sit down. On top of that she did not make eye contact with me instead she kept eye contact at her computer and paper work she had in front of her. Their service is so poor. The way they treated me I will NEVER attend to this location again.
I literally cannot thank Sylvia enough. I’m terrified of needles and Silvia was able to be both extremely gentle and also very real with me about what I needed medically. This was seriously not my finest moment (tears were very much involved) and Sylvia was able to stay incredibly calm and was kind enough to comfort a full grown woman over a shot. She is so fantastic.
The two stars if for the Doctor. The front desk staff and the nurse assisting the doctor, were very nice couldnt ask for a nicer staff. The doctor Pamela Love wasnt rude but I paid $75 just for her to tell me she cant help me and then left out the room saying to her nurse she was going to go eat. Not only did I feel rushed BUT Really?! thank you for non solution fix to my problem, I hope you enjoyed your lunch. I think if you dont have a solution one shouldnt have to pay, this place really was a rip off
Office was very close to my work. The front office staff who greeted me were friendly and very helpful helping me navigate the online registration process. The waiting area and individual exam rooms are clean and tidy. I saw Dr. Tafoya who diagnosed me quickly and was friendly, considerate and very interested in my concerns. I was in and out of this office within 20 minutes and back to work. Its good to have a place like this in the neighborhood. I will return and recommend to other colleagues.
I’ve had horrible experiences this this location. The communication was horrible from both the doctors and staff. The staff members were rude and misinformed. What should have been one visit turned into 5 visits in one week to get a simple work clearance. I had to go back because the doctors read my results and filled out my form incorrectly multiple times. I do not recommend.
I’ve been going there for few years and it’s always been great. Today, 2/19/2020, I went because o was feeling unwell, turns out that the diagnosis was that I have diverticulitis, something I had recurrently. The “doctor” who saw me was super unfriendly, told me that she will see me exceptionally but next time I should go to a gastro or my GP. I was and still am in shock at her unprofessional treatment. I don’t know what could be more urgent than diverticulitis, the common cold? Anyway, last time I go there.
Thank you very much to Danika and Sarah, the nurse and doctor who saw me. And thank you to the front desk staff. My prescription was sent to a pharmacy that was closed for memorial day so they sent it very quickly and no problem to another since I was leaving town later that day. Very quick service, in and out in half an hour.
Came here to get covid testing before a vacation and I ended up getting sick with a congested nose and sneezing every five minutes. This place is extremely dirty and they take no accountability. My swab test came back negative so the method they used to test me was the reason for getting sick.
Rip off.For a 6-min chat with a primary care doctor who did not even prescribe anything, they charged me $230 with insurance. Please do yourself a favor and do not visit this place unless you are in a serious emergency situation. These guys will take all your money and it is not worth it at all.
The Doctor was most inhuman and rude and abrupt. She gave no medical advice and just wanted to push me out. She felt offended when I asked her for medical advice. She said she is an ER doctor and I should go to the the ER. So why open an urgent care???PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS URGENT CARE
STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!I was told that I have a copay of $5 and my company has really good insurance. And then I get an invoice of $300?!?!How is that ok?I am still trying to figure out who to reach to battle this bill but spare yourself the headache and go somewhere else!
I WAS a regular customer here. That was until my insurance expired and I was told I had to pay $200 just to check my temperature. I offered them $50 which is still a lot just to check my temperature and they still declined. At a time like this when the whole world is suffering, it’s crazy to see people without any compassion or any regard for life just trying to make a buck. They should be shut down over this!
What a ripoff.Despite asking, no prices shared on visit. But they certainly know that theres a fixed price negotiated in advance with your insurance company. For me that meant paying a whopping $254 for a 10-minute tick removal. Ridiculous. If you must use them, just say you dont have insurance.
I Returned to this location after originally being written a prescription of the antibiotic Amoxicillin which i will admit i did stop taking it for two days and then finished it once noticing the bacteria had returned due to it being my first time taking any antibiotic and having no heads up about the seriousness of completing the prescription. I will take the blame for that, however the second time i returned and informed Dr. W. Chen of this and after doing research prior to coming in i asked him if the reason why i stil have bacteria present in my throat is due to it becoming immune to it. He replied something along the lines of “bacteria doesn’t become immune to antibiotics”. Taking his word for it i agreed to him writing the SAME prescription of Amoxilicin. This time i made sure to follow all of the directions and complete it and even after all of this i still noticed the presence of bacteria in my throat. I then decided to go to another location nearby my apartment and was FINALLY informed by another doctor that the bacteria had indeed became immune to the Amoxiclin. Dr. Chen was a respectful nice guy i just wish he had been more informed about the bacteria and the necessary procedures to take.

2022-05-20The employees here are patient and kind, from reception to the medical staff. When I tested positive for COVID yesterday they prescribed a new medicine and offered further support if I needed it. The doctor’s name was Dr. Chen and everyone who dealt with me was great, there was an assistant who did the testing who was very good as well. I know they must do endless amounts of these tests, but they handle each experience with respect for the patient, with professionalism and care. Great and especially impressive for a walk in clinic.

2022-07-20Same experiences as Michale and William!!!! I went in for an appointment, and for the first time was a good experience, and got the prescription I needed! However, things turn downhill after a week. I have side effects from the medicine, called the free aftercare service. They told me they have no idea and asked me to visit their facility again on the same day. When I got there, I was clear about my concern regarding the side effect, they asked me to see a doctor again. The doctor saw me for one min and told me he has no idea. And they charged me $210 for the same answer I got over the phone! It’s a scam, it wasn’t even a visit. They should provide a free consultation about the side effect caused by their prescription. And if they can not solve my problem why lied about it and asked me to visit again? If they are going to give me the same answer as on the phone! Such a scam and no one ever answers the phone from their billing department. They try to make it difficult so you can give up!! Stay away from City MD!!! Try some other urgent care!!

2022-03-09The doctor saw me for a few minutes and concluded that he did not want to diagnose or treat me. He suggested that I go to a different doctor. I was charged City MDs standard rate for this visit. The bill was far greater than what I ended up being charged at the doctor who successfully diagnosed and treated me. More transparency is needed in the City MD business model. Abdicating responsibility by pointing to contractual arrangements with insurance companies is a convenient way to show indifference to patients.

2022-07-16Similar experience to Michael below. The nurse practitioner saw me for a few minutes and concluded that she could not treat me. She suggested that I go to a different doctor. I was charged City MDs standard/blanket rate for this visit. The bill was far far greater than the subsequent specialist visit

2022-07-22I left a review 4 years ago and wanted to leave a new one. Just left and had an amazing experience AGAIN. I live im between 2 urgent cares. This being one of them and i forgot how wonderful. Clean, professional, easy, and kind staff. Dr. Richard Tan and his Assistant Alyssa gave me so much relief by simply listening and giving prompt action. I have a list of ailments but while waiting for my pharmacy to fill order...Dr. Tan was able to give me my 1st dose right there in office. 4 years ago i did not have a service dog but now i do. No one treated me any difference or gave me any hassle. The other Urgent care texted me to give a rating and i gave a 4 out of 10. 🙈 so many reasons. So that shows you the difference. These guys are 5 out of 5 or 10 out of 10! 🥳 TY!4 years ago: Loved my experience....would recommend to anyone. Check in was a breeze. Minimal paperwork. Minimal wait time. Check in is technologically advanced. Machine scans your id and insurance card. No risk of staff losing it or misplacing it. Only paperwork is in the end when you sign your copay and get receipt. I went in with an ailment, walked out cured. (My ear). Physician Stephanie Santana was amazing kind, gentle, thorough, cautious and patient. Not just with me but with her assistant Valerie who was also all the same things. Great teamwork. The care and staff here are awesome. Even get cool freebies like working pens, pack of tissues and hand sanitizer. Lol

2022-04-01I wish I could give them 0 stars. Absolutely horrible place to get a covid test. I just needed a rapid covid test and the whole process took 2 hours, unbelievable. They make you go into an examination room and talk to you about your weight and checking your vitals and all kinds of unnecessary things so they can bill your insurance more, when all I wanted was my covid rapid test. And now my insurance is billing me $300 for the rapid test. Why is a rapid test $300? Because they did so much extraneous work that I never asked for. This is our healthcare system. Its all bloated billing and its done through the insurance companies so normal people cant fight it or even know what theyre being billed for.

2022-01-25The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. Dr McNamara was simply amazing. A gifted diagnostician who is kind and compassionate with a copious amount of patience!
