This was the second time going to this CityMD location. As their procedure you have to check in through the IPAD which puts you on a list to been seen by the doctor. The first time I waited over an hour before speaking to the front desk as I started seeing people get called that came in/checked in after me. When I spoke to the front desk they told me somehow my name got deleted from their system and I would be next; after they called 3 names I was finally called. Today I called to see the doctor as I had severe stomach pain and my primary doctor was closed for the day. The front desk person Diana told me I could come in and I could be seen, when I arrived I completed the same check in procedure as the last time. Once I completed the check in process I confirmed with the front desk my name was in the system, which they did; after about 35 minutes of waiting I noticed they started calling names of people that y after me, I went to the front desk and AGAIN my name was removed. The girl at the front desk let me know she’ll take care of this and I would be first in line. Another 30 minutes go by and I was still not called when I went back to the front desk and asked what’s going on since I’ve been here since 340pm. The receptionist replied (with an eye roll) you’ve been here since 340pm. I calmly said yes and she informed me there were still 7 people in front of me (which at this point all the people who were there when I arrived were seen and finished for about 45 minutes). I decided to leave in frustration as I could not sit any more with the pain I was in. Not even 2 minutes after I left I received a phone call they were ready to see me “, when I explained why I left they replied oh ok bye.
Covid testing - December 19th - Got there before they opened and was +50 in line. Waited 1 hour just to give them my name and phone number to hold my place in line. Go back in 2+ hours to actually test. Don’t worry, the line is outside in the snow and crosses the Starbucks drive thru. Oh yeah, be ready for line cutters who don’t care. Extra security is only at the door, Not around the building.Don’t come if you are truly sick. Send someone for you and they can give your name and number.
That place is 👌 excelent. Except one tall male phisiciant that didnt even want to check up my 2 yrs old daughter, they did a covid test to everyone of us wich only my daughter came up positive I told him to please check her ears since she complain about pain I just wanted him to check her ears to make sure she does not have an ears Infection, and he respond I cant I will get expose since she is positive he just look at her like im not touching her I think that is soo rud any MD or health worker should not act like that since they knw that if they has his personal protective equipment should be fine i think in that case he just was going to change his gloves after that. He acted so rud never seen a doctor like that. HIS ATTENTION IS HORRIBLE HE DOES NOT HAVE ANY PROFFESIONAL ETHIC !
Dr. Greg Baumgarter listened to my symptoms and how I was feeling. Something didnt sit right with him and he ordered a blood test. That blood test pretty much saved my life, as I found that I was extremely anemic and needed immediate medical care with a hematologist. I am now in treatment and very grateful for Dr. Baumgartner and his team.
Visited AFC WEST ISLIPHORRIBLE !! Service came in for pneumonia listened toLungs said left lung has a little fluid rest upShould be fine.. 3 mins with doctor noOther tests then they said the co pay is now 75$ when they saidThey would wave it.. we leftWent straight to city MD FarmingvilleIt was complete opposite brooke was so friendly at deskamber the nurse was so sweet, educated, and just reall all Vitals checked not like afcdoctor Greg came in and was friendly and knew his stuff.X rays taken oxygen bp heart lungs checkedfound out I needed steroids and Inhaler and sent us on are way allIn 40 minsI highly recommend you go here !!! ThankYou so much !!
Waited 2 hours outside in 32 weather just to be told to wait for a text and I have 30 minutes to return. I arrived at 7am, did not leave until 9am, and it is after 4pm and still no text indicating I can come for a rapid test. The white lady with the tablet was rude and did not tell me how long the wait will be. They also dont answer their phones. I cant go to work without a negative covid test smh...
I came in almost 2 weeks ago for urinary tract pain. Was told they would send it out to be tested and I would get a call when they got the results whether or not it showed an infection and if I needed to continue the meds. No one ever called me back and when I called I was constantly put on hold or the call was disconnected or somehow no one knew what I was talking about. I wound up going to another doctor to find what was going on bc the pain wasn’t going away and they called me 2 days later and confirmed it was a UTI and to continue the meds I was given. Only reason giving you any stars is because the wait time was only 15 minutes.
What a terrible and dangerous experience I had a this Urgent care. I walked in place is packed and seats are not properly spaced. Then when I went to register it said to see front desk. I went and they said I was good. Then I went to check and they did not see me checked in and said they called me which is not the case. Someone said this happened to them as well. The manger Katy was extremely rude. I will be bringing this to the appropriate agency’s
They were friendly, helpful, The doctor was very thorough and great manner.. I would go there again anytime. So glad it was recommended to me.They went out of there way to get me in with a specialist the next day .Again The stafff we’re great and building clean and well kept
Horrible, rude front desk and administrative staff. They will not allow you to wait in your vehicle if you have major underlying health issues. They will make you wait in a crowded waiting room (no social distancing enforced) until your name is called. They threatened to kick me off the waitlist. I have leukemia and lymphoma and they showed no empathy or consideration. Absolutely disgusting. Northwell Health and every other doctor office has accommodated me during this difficult time in my life. Will NOT be returning.
Long story short the woman at the front desk lied right to my face about the virtual line. I asked about it when we walked in with my 6YO daughter. She had me sign in on the tablets they have set up then when I asked again she told us that because we signed in on the tablet we couldnt sign up on the virtual line. I said well I was the only one signed up so my wife and daughter could go on the virtual line and I would return on a later date. She then said there is no more virtual line offered at that location. I emailed the company and verified that there is a virtual line at all locations since Aug 21. If it was just me I wouldnt mind so much. But to make my sick 6 yo daughter wait 2 hours when we could have got on the virtual line and not risked spreading sickness to the entire waiting room is ridiculous..
I would give it a 5 out of 5 but waiting period is very long, even though City MD is extremely busy everyday and it’s not always their fault. They just need to tweak their medical system when it comes to the patients medical reason for coming in. For example take in the patient who has a concussion or needs stitches compared to other patient who’s there because of a cold or stomach ache.Other then that the front desk is very nice and does their job well, the medical assistant you see before the doctor are professional, and at last the doctors are great, very professional and nice and do care about their patients!!!!!!! I would highly recommend going there instead of the hospital, unless you really should go to the hospital. Some patients think City MD is like a hospital, but in reality city md is better then going to your regular doctor or family doctor, because city md can do more then a regular doctors office.City MD is like the middle man between your regular doctor and hospital, they can help most patients usually then going to the hospital and it’s a lot quicker of a wait time then a hospital. I highly recommend them to everyone!
My daughter has a cyst in her breast, I was given antibiotics. I just wish we could have had a diagnostic test to confirm only a cyst. Very scary situation and the doctor on explained with care she would not touch the Breast. I’m assuming she meant aspiration of the cyst. I was grateful for the antibiotic. We will follow up with breast doc.
I went in for a Covid-19 rapid test and was treated with dignity and respect by everyone that I came in contact with. The procedure was explained to me and the aftercare instructions was provided for me to clearly understand. The environment was clean and there was proper precautions taken for social distancing. There was hand sanitizer readily available for use. As this was my first experience, I was pretty impressed and would recommend this place for myself and others.
To son to get checked he wasnt feeling well. I have no complaints on any level which is near impossible when dealing with people. So they did a great job in all areas. 10 across the board and thats not easy when dealing with a person like myself. No issues at all its almost like a miracle lol. I appreciate when people are on point. Thank you for being available and willing to care for strangers in a professional manner.
This is spotless, very efficient and well run. The doctor tested me for Covid 19 and ordered a script for Ondansetron to help with nausea. In short, I felt ghastly sick when I went in, and was quickly helped with an appropriate prescription.I will go back here again. This is much better than 18 hours in the ER!
The sign outside says Walkins are welcomed. My bf went in and the front desk didnt even ask him what symptoms he was having. All she told him was theyre not taking in walkins and dismissed my bf. She didnt ask if he had an appointment or not. Will never come here again nor recommend.
Horrible experience! I waited a half hour in the freezing cold just to get in to the lobby due to covid restrictions, then waited 2 hours to be seen. The doctor did not do a physical exam, he just came in the room and asked me accusing questions that led nowhere, was totally unsympathetic to my pain, had no idea what could be wrong and told me to go to my primary doctor or the ER. Totally useless and the main cause for my visit (BLEEDING) was not even listed on any of the paperwork. If you want to be unheard, undiagnosed, and waste your time this is the doctor to go see.
Do not waste your time. ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS! Find another doctor to go to. Since this COVID nonsense started, theyve only been worried about Federal COVID money and abusing their sickly patients. They dont even have the courtesy of letting you know it will be a 4-5 hour wait when you call. No matter what day you call. The other CityMD are the same way.
I stood in line for an hour for a covid test just to get an appointment, when that could easily be done virtually. I was not told an approximate time to expect my appointment like your website says. I waited over 3 hours for a text when your website says maximum of 3 hours. The doctor did not listen to any of my concerns or questions. All I said was that I was exposed to someone positive for covid and he said, oh, youre with the guy next door and walked out. I couldnt even be sure if the guy next door was even my boyfriend. He came back, stuck some probe up my nose with no warning, and immediately walked out. At least if youre going to rush me out, dont make me wait so long for the doctor and then again for the tech. I was the first one of my relatives in and the last out. My boyfriend and sister both had similar experiences with the doctor. In addition, when my sister called because the tech taking her number in order to text her an appointment time got her phone number wrong, she waited a total of 20 minutes or so just to be connected with someone who was probably the rudest person I have ever encountered in a customer service role (I heard the conversation). On top of just being inappropriately rude, she blatanly lied and would not let my sister get a word in. Now, to top it all off, Ive been getting a text every day since I was there, practically forcing me to write this review just to stop the constant text messages. I am very dissatisfied with my experience there.
Amazingly helpful staff. Very professional. They take care of you very fast. The facility is very clean. Great technology use, so its a very quick check in, and check out. They have a patient portal so you can see all results from tests or doctors notes. They are the best place to go for a Covid-19 test. They have the PCR and rapid test available. They bill your insurance company, and theres no out of pocket cost to you.
On April 25, 2021 I went into CityMD Urgent Care, a nervous wreck because I had been around someone who tested positive for Covid-19. Unfortunately with today’s times it’s almost as if you’ve received a death sentence and you’re not even sure, but I went to get tested although apprehensive. I was surprised when I walked in immediately at how polite, helpful, and just out right genuinely nice the staff at the front desk were. When I heard my name called I thought I was going to the electric chair because I froze in place, but Gabriel was so Empathetic and sincere, he went above and beyond to help relax my nerves just so he could take my vitals lol I hadn’t even made it to the test yet. By the time he was ready to administer the test I put my head back to pray and it was over before I started talking to God. I was like Gabriel, that’s it? People had me thinking like what the heck????? We laughed, and he offered me a tissue, told me a joke, and told me to make sure I asked the Doc any questions I may have when he came in. When the Doctor came in and told me my results were Negative, baby I could have hugged that man, but Coronavirus! Point is, you don’t get good service everywhere, today I did. I don’t live here but I know a lot of people do, all I can say is CityMD is where it’s at! Hands down. If I’m already sick, or whatever, think I’m sick, nerves on probation whatever the case I don’t want Ms stink behind that got an attitude working on me! That’s not gonna make me feel better, in fact it’s gonna make me upset. It’s good to know that there are still people, Good People in this world that value their jobs, and love what they do! Thank you to all the Staff at CityMD for providing such great loving care for me during these unprecedented times we all are facing in today’s world. God Bless You!
The black girl with glasses sitting in the front is extremely rude and unprofessional. I’m a medical professional myself. She apparently lack understanding and professionalism. When I was there, she was very rude to an elder person and I hope someone sue this place for such disgusting behavior. I would also notify my workplace about this incident.
I went to CityMD Farmingville at 1030 pm last night. 1030PM!! I was seen promptly and everyone was polite and nothing felt rushed. I had been to this facility once before, during regular daytime hours, and was similarly impressed. The knowledge that they are available during unusual late hours is very comforting.
Went there because I was throwing up bile 3 times in the morning. I told the doctors I haven’t had an appetite in 3 weeks and have been nauseous for weeks too. They brushed it off and didn’t say anything about it. They thought the reason that I was throwing up bile was maybe because of the food I ate the day before...I think I would know if I had food poisoning. They also asked what medications I was on & I told them birth control & they didn’t ask what kind. They did a urinalysis and the doctor said he sees an infection but said that he didn’t know what it was because they have the fast testing. He said it has to be sent to the lab and that they will call me with results. It’s been two days and I got nothing. The only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the front desk receptionists are nice & the doctor prescribed me medication to stop the vomiting and nausea. Overall disappointed & feel like they try and rush patients out of there and don’t take consideration the symptoms you’re telling them. It was New Year’s day so they probably just thought I was some hungover kid and brushed me off.
I never leave reviews however I felt the need to today. This was my first time to this location because it was very convenient. The doctor had a great bedside manner, aswered any questions I had. The receptionist I dealt with Jolene was not professional, I was so turned off by this. Being polite and professional should be priority if youre the first and last person the patient sees.
I showed up at 8:30 AM to be seen for mild COVID-like symptoms. I knew there would be a wait and was prepared for that. However, when I got there, I saw people lined-up around the building. I called to let them know I was there to put my name on a list so I wouldn’t have to stand in line in the 40 degree weather surround by others to whom I could potentially be infectious. I was informed that the only way to be seen was to physically get in line.I appreciate the hard work the health care team does but this policy is medically inappropriate and harmful the the health of their patients. It needs to be changed.
I must say that I was quite delighted with this practice. Being able to give a positive review during such a difficult and scary time really says a lot about CityMD. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and they were beyond efficient. The young girls who took my vitals/ information were very sweet and the doctor was a joy to work with. I highly recommend visiting this office if you are in need of medical advice.
I took my five year old to CityMD because she had been complaining of a stomach ache for four days. The PA, after feeling her stomach for a few times, said he didn’t see anything wrong and said to take her to the ER where they could check for appendicitis. She didn’t have any symptoms of appendicitis and just had a blockage which was confirmed with an X-ray. I felt like this could’ve been diagnosed at CItyMD. Not only did we have to spend hours in the ER but an now stuck with a hospital bill too. The doctor at the hospital felt the blockage by doing a hand exam and confirmed with an X-ray. She seemed surprised they couldn’t have diagnosed this at CityMD and it made me feel like they weren’t thorough enough and just pushed us out.
I’ve never had issue with this place ever until earlier this week. After waiting on line for over 2 hours because I had a high risk exposure to a family member that I’d spent all day with in very close proximity 2 days prior and who had tested positive for Covid... this nurse finally rushed me in... did not take my temperature or pulse ox swabbed me for the rapid test and never swabbed me for the test that is sent out and ushered me out before the 15 minute test results came in and this Dr. a male with dark hair and facial hair and a foreign name with an accent said “you are a high risk exposure so you must quarantine for 14 days!” and just walked out. No opportunity for me to ask a question - nothing! After waiting in the freezing cold for over 2 hours! Now I need to go back snd be retested but I will NOT GO IF that Dr is on call... ever again! No bedside manner ... just horrible!!
I went there yesterday after being told I waspossibly exposed at my job. There was a line, but it never seemed to feel long or annoying. It moved quick enough for me. The staff were all amazing, courteous and professional. Sign in was easy, social distance and protecting all were perfect.
Clean and excellent care. Went March 1st for what I thought was a twisted back and COVID. The dr on call that day came in the room and immediately order an ekg and found I was having a heart attack then immediately gave me baby aspirin and got 911 and ambulance there. Well turns out 3 stents later and doing better. If it wasn’t for the dr who knows if I be here today.
I walked into City MD not feeling well, I was very sick. City MD typically has a policy where they will take your phone number and send you a text message when you are ready. This is a smart way to keep patients safe due to covid. For whatever reason, the night I showed up they told me they are no longer following that policy.Instead, I was instructed to wait in a small entrance way with no chairs because the lobby was cold. Being sick, I did not want to wait in a cold, small entrance way.I instead left and went to another City MD where I was given a test and tested positive for COVID-19.The reason I am filing a complaint was not only because City MD dehumanized me, their policy of making me wait in a small entranceway could have caused other patients to get infected with COVID-19.
Hate to leave one star but the Dr. Didn’t call in both scripts . Went to the pharmacy only one script was there. When back to pharmacy the next day I was told that only one script was called in. I called cityMD and was transferred to aftercare was on hold standing at the pharmacy for 45 minutes left my # never got a call back.Called CityMD again this morning and was told I would need to wait on hold for aftercare again there is nothing they can do. Cannot get into customer portal after 24 hours.I asked if I can come in to talk to someone. She said no. At this point I’m better paying my $75 copay to ask the Dr to call it in.Very disappointed.I’ve been to CityMD before and the Doctors are phenomenal. Great care with fast service but once you walk out the door your on your own.
Excellent care received. Super quick and easy check in process at their kiosks. The front desk and CNA were pleasant.I saw Doctor Murphy and she was super personable, nice, and very educated. She took her time explaining what was going on. I would definitely recommend!
The PA named Susan was very unprofessional. Not only was I in the consultation room for 40 mins with out any kind of communication of when I was going to be seen by the PA, but when I opened my door bc I started to feel claustrophobic she came to my room and aggressively Slammed the door in my face and told me she would see me soon, and didn’t give me a chance to respond before closing it.I immediately opened my door again, and continue to patiently wait, and when she started walking back towards my door and said “I thought I closed that”.I explained to her how long I was waiting and that I felt claustrophobic and she embarrassed me in front of staff, talked loudly to me and told me to wait in the waiting room. So I did. And the she ended up never seeing me . The paper work they gave me was incorrect and stated I was seen by her, when in facts I never was.I sat in the large waiting room, and the PA sent a nurse to give me my paperwork with out ever seeing the PA.She was terribly rude/unprofessional, and I would not recommend her to any friends or family.
Went to farmingville city md last week and was told they are no longer accepting insurance for physicals and that I would need to pay $250 to get a physical done. I went to city md in ronkonkoma and I was seen with insurance no problem. I also called city md in Selden and was told insurance is still accepted
I was there Tuesday because I was having issues breathing. They told me I should go the the ER based on a heart issue I had in the past. The doctor told me I should go there immediately. Which of course stressed me out. I asked for a treatment or an inhaler to help with my breathing for the trip and she said that I should go to the hospital right away because she didnt feel comfortable giving me one... But not before they had to get all my information and made me sign and initial numerous documents and then pay the co-pay. Such urgency for a patient. When I went to the ER, the doctors were puzzled that CityMD did not give me a treatment for my breathing. Funny how that works.
Everyone here has attitudes, they’re all pushy and shouldn’t be in the medical field. Down from the receptionists to the higher ups. Medical workers are supposed to be soft gentle kind when taking care of people. I’m reporting them to the BBB. They won’t allow during a pandemic for you to be by the side of your significant other or whomever but when it’s time to collect the payment oh anybody can comeInside. Money hungry, geeedy and not interested in the health of the public. Strictly a gambling game for them. Won’t be back and I will tell everyone I know to go the extra mile to a facility that actually cares about their patients .
Needed a Covid test for this weekend. This establishment was the one i was funneled to... since others were Walk-ins / with no availability 🤦♀️.Got a text que #.The rest is 🤡⏯...Go ahead try for yourself. ID choose otherwise. But then again Im just visiting this system, wouldnt count on it with my Health or Wellbeing.
The place is spotless and the staff is very caring and professional , I just wish the doctor would of taken more time to find out what was wrong instead of telling me it’s just a virus that has to run its course, the next day I go to my primary care doctor who said I have sinusitis who then gave me antibiotics . I had to suffer a whole extra day because this wasn’t checked , very disappointed
Dr Cronin is very friendly and professional! I really appreciate her quick assessment and sweet bedside manner. I had to bring my 6year old son with me when I wasnt feeling well. The front desk staff gave him a coloring book with crayons, a mini football, and a stuffed animal to keep him occupied. The office was clean. Everyone was pleasant to deal with. Great office!
This is the only city md I go to ... they know me by name! They wait time is just a few minutes , no matter how busy it may be. I haven’t had a bad encounter yet with any staff , doctors , receptionist etc ... their all friendly ! They tend the the patients needs and answers every question In a way u understand . I love it here !
I would like to thank Dominique Miller, PA for saving my life on the morning of11/14/2020. I entered City MD because I thought I had either the Flu or possibly covid. I also had excruciating pain on my right side a few days earlier. Dominique examed me and suggested I go immediately to an emergency room. Her report stated a positive Murphy sign, which at the time meant nothing to me.I followed her instruction that I needed blood work and a sonogram. The rest is history, as by six oclock pm I was wheeled into surgery for the removal of my gall bladder at Mather Memorial Hospital. After surgery I was told my gall bladder was gangrenous and I was very close to having sepsis. He made it very clear that the medical attendent at City MD save my life.Gratefully yours,Antonio Vattiato
Very well organized. No more waiting on line for hours waiting to get in while mingling with people waiting for Covid test. They say now you come and get on a list and they call you a half hour before you nerd to come back. Get on list early in am if you need a test that day. They open at 7am.
Went here on November 6, for an injured hand.Walked out because the woman working at the reception desk insisted that everyone had to wait together in the waiting room, Rather than following the usual policy of allowing people to wait outside and get called in individually.I suspect that she just didn’t feel like taking the time to dial cell phone numbers, because City MD‘s policy is that you’re not supposed to sit in a crowded waiting room with people who might be contagious with Covid. Also, went here a few months ago and the policy was for everybody to wait outside until they called them in. I’m unsure what changed, but definitely won’t be back.
The receptionists were very friendly, was taken in pretty much right away. Saw the PA Chris he was attentive, kind, and compassionate. Answered all my questions without rushing. Check out went smoothly. The only disadvantage was there was no radiologist on at this location today- had to go to selden for an x-ray. They all too were very nice and was sure I was taken in right away. Radiologist in Selden was very thorough (unfortunately due to pain I forgot her name, but thank you).
Although I usually dont have an issue going to the Ronkonkoma location unfortunately by the time I needed my child to be seen they were already closed so this was the next closest. Upon arrival I explained that for several days my 13 yr old who was diagnosed as BORDERLINE diabetic was having sugar spikes as high as 216.i explained I had an appointment to discuss this with her endocrinologist but not until later in the week. To avoid the er I simply wanted them to test her sugar which would most probably be high and write a note with those results so she could return to school. Since the school sent her home because she doesnt have it on record as being fully diabetic and said she could return with a drs note. They completely disregarded what I said and insisted on giving her a covid test which took 5 days to come back. And because of this she lost 5 days of school for NO REASON bc the test as I knew was NEGATIVE. I feel this even though the times we now live in was just a way to get more from my insurance. My thoughts feelings and requests for what I knew my child needed was completely disregarded.
I had a great experience. I was dealing with an RA flair up and was desperate. My rheumatologist was unhelpful to prescribe me meds to manage my pain. (Wanted me to wait 2 months) The Dr here was caring and listened. He prescribed me a steroid pack and my symptoms improved. This allowed me to work without taking sick days, which is important to me as a young professional.
The front desk, the ekg tech, and the xray tech could not have been nicer. They were amazing. The physician I spoke too, however, could not have been worse. He refused to listen to what I was saying, told me over and over again that I needed psychiatric help (when i was there for uncomfortable physical symptoms), and then prescribed me an albuterol inhaler when ALBUTEROL IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE MY SYMPTOMS WORSE. Thank god i researched it right after I tried it. Racy heart and shakiness are some of the effects it has on those with certain preexistings, which i told him that I had, but since i didn’t know what albuterol was, I took it, and I’m about to take myself to the er from how its making me feel now. Only go here if ‘you need a ‘bandaid’, not a medical analysis, is exactly what he told me. Then he told me to get mental help again. My mind is clear, my heart, my lungs, and my stomach are not. I WISH the back end was as great as the front end, but i wouldn’t trust city md for anything important other than if you wanted a quick x-ray done by no one who can read it.
I’ve never written a negative review ever before in my life, but I felt like I had to share my experience because I don’t want other people to make the same mistake I did by coming here. I’ve never encountered a doctor before that was sooooo discourteous until I came here. I felt disrespected and insulted for no good reason and I will be sure to never return. I work two jobs and am in graduate school. My only time off is late at night or Sunday’s, so when I’m sick, I sometimes have no other choice but to go to an urgent care because they’re the only ones open. I’ve been sick for over two months now and the doctor basically told me before she even examined me that I don’t belong there because it’s only for “urgent” illnesses and I should spend my time somewhere else. I felt so discouraged! I understand if they were busy, but I was seriously the only patient in the building and I was so sick and just wanted someone to help because I felt so desperate! I explained my work/school situation to her and she seemed to lighten up, but only to rush me out of the office when I was literally the only patient there! To sum up my experience here, I paid a $50 copay only to be told to get lost.
At first I thought they were nice and it was clean. But then was supposed to Prescribers the road they failed to call it in to the pharmacy they gave me a bunch of other medications that had nothing to do with my symptoms and still to this point the next day never received my antibiotic shot putting get in touch with the place the phone was constantly busy I will never be back
Went to City Md a few weeks ago, and was diagnosed with just a chest cold, I had a fever and a very bad sore throat. A throat culture was taken and was given motrin. I went to bed and woke up feeling worse, I called the office and they called in a prescription for steroids that gave me a fast heartbeat and didnt help at all!! I called again, and they gave me a different prescription for steroids!! I was getting worse and finally went to my primary doctor and found out I had a severe sinus infection and borderline bronchitis!! If I didnt go to my primary doctor, I would have gotten pneumonia!! Everyone was very nice here, but Seriously. Why couldnt I have gotten the right medication, I would have been better by now!! Instead I was sick for 2 weeks!!
Could not be more pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of every staff member. Had the pleasure of being seen by Christopher Finnegan, PA who was thorough and very caring. Grateful to have this level of service just miles from my home. Registration was quick and I was seen in less than 10 minutes from when I arrived! Outstanding CityMD, thank you for such great service!
Terrible location. Over 2hour wait for something so simple. I wouldnt advise anyone to come to this location. This is completely terrible environment unprofessional staff. Takes 2hours to do a urine test/blood work. As i stated before i wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone. The manager at this location i believe her name was Jolene was completely rude to me. Yelling at the front desk and told me if i leave she will cal my job telling them I failed. THIS PLACE IS DISCUSTING OF A MEDICAL PLACE. THEY SHOULD CARE ABOUT THERE PATIENTS BUT NOPE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE. I WILL CALL COPORTATE NOW AND COMPLAIN!!
I went here yesterday after suffering from food poisoning for 3 days and wanting to avoid sitting in the ER. Well the place is beautiful and the girls at the desk are super sweet its the DR that sucks. I saw Dr Havasy ( who never introduced himself i got his name off the sheet). He rushed into the room and began doing an exam before i even finished talking to the nurse about my medical history. The Dr asked me very rudely why i was there and when i told him i thought i had food poisoning and began explaining my symptoms he cut me off and asked if i had vomited, i told him no but i was pretty close the first day and it had just mainly been the other end. He then asked while doing a physical exam (very rushed) if i had blood in my stool to which i said yes thats why im here. He had the balls to tell me it wasnt blood in my stool it was from the pepto ..the pepto i told him i didnt take. He then rushed out of the room and came back and shoved a pill in my face and said take this and put it under your tongue and left. I refused to take a pill i didnt know what it was, and gave it back to the nurse. The nurse told me it was zofran, after i told the Dr i wasnt vomiting. He never returned to the room and told the nurse he prescribed me zofran and to buy Imodium over the counter. Not once did he check my chart which clearly would have told him i have lupus and im now day 3 no food or water, and i havent been able to take my steroid due to no food. Not once did he say anything about the bleeding or visiting a hospital. And the zofran clearly stated not take if theres blood in the stool or loose stools..which was my reason for visit. He never even came back into the room or had any kind of bedside manner. He was rude and made poor judgements. I made it very clear to the NA how i felt as well as the ladies in the front. He was a horrible doctor.
LACK OF EMPATHYWas there on Tuesday night with dizziness, barely able to walk, staff immediately cut me off and ordered to sign in at kiosk. The PA briefly did an exam and without any emotion on his face stated the prescriptions are at the front desk and walked away . I was the only patient in the building and not as if we were in a room full of trauma pts. Staff in the front looks at people signing out with disgust on their face, everybody needs to be re-educated on empathy, bedside manner and customer service.
Came here 5 minutes before they closed at 5pm with my girlfriend who was throwing up every 5minutes and not feeling good and the lady at the front desk locked the door in our face as we walked up and refused to let someone see my girlfriend. Didnt care one bit about helping other people. We will never go here again because of how we were treated. Absolutley disgusted at how they handled our situation.
Prescribed me 4 medications for a drip cough. Steroids, inhaler, antibiotics and flonase. For a cough???? My lungs were clear no wheezing and no fever. Absurd prescription diagnoses. Trying to kill me with all that stuff. Stay away from here. Although staff at the desk were very nice.
This place is complete horrible. Manager at this location Julie is super rude to patients. I witness her yell at this gentlemen. Today i wont be going back to this location. Jolene manager at this location is a complete rude fool. She deserves to be termindated for her actions. Yelling at patients is unacceptable in the medical field.
Dr. was thorough, informative and took extra care and precaution - and is the ONLY reason for the four star rating. Had to take one star away due to unmotivated and unfriendly front desk. Walked in, and was immediately directed to use the self check-in kiosk. No greeting, no eye contact, and damn near shooed me away. Kiosk was friendlier.
City MD is a five star wall in medical facility across the board . They exceed my expectations from the brand new facility’s state of the art office decor and design to the high tech check in process equipped with iPads for easy & quick self service to the be seen and update insurance info to the very friendly professional and very genuine staff in the office as well as the medical staff .. I highly recommend and will continue to go back .. I recently had flu shots the male Dr was by far the most amazing I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with and I have to say the most sincere with myself husband and two children it was delightful. I’ve had my toe broken and went there as it was late any night and convenient and close with hours and location ... I was also treated very well with xrays and given all the accessories from a boot to a cane to go home with . Exceptional service every time I visit and I couldn’t be happier .. please visit location on North ocean ave Medford it’s the best experience I’ve received in years after failing miserable everywhere else they set the bar high Vanessa Galarza
Covid swab tests all over the floor next to us by the dumpster while we’re waiting online to get our very own Covid test. Really unsanitary ... good job health department. Keep cracking down on restaurants and gyms and missing what actually matters and spreads this disease. I posted the picture to prove it but of course that doesn’t show up ... and when searching for a health department number to alert them all i find is numbers to call for restaurants... disgusting.
Took my elementary age child here for COVID testing. No symptoms just recently went Florida and was advised to get myself tested and my child. BIG MISTAKE. Dr. Heinstein (I believe is his name) was beyond against getting my child (showing no symptoms) tested and when I agreed with him, he simply states you here lets do it. No talk or breakdown, just shoved the very long q-tip/swab into her nose and as she begins to cry and put her hands up from discomfort, he leaves swab in her nose/nasopharynx and shoves her hands away and yells DO NOT TOUCH ME. Takes it out and just restates how test shouldnt be given to kids. Thanks.
Incompetent doctors.. I should not know more than doctors.. I had electrical work accident 9 months ago.. had sore throat for months from explosion .. got real bad week ago.. doctor test for strep and bacteria.. all negative.. they do not care or listen.. waste of time and money.. also.. doctor couldnt feel behind tonsil... uselessDoctor could feel behind tonsil
I went to City MD after a back injury because I knew they had an x-ray machine. I was surprised when the Doctor stated that “they” don’t X-Ray the back. I was then prescribed Roboxin and Flexeril and referred to my Orthopedist. When I went to my Orthopedist the first thing they did is an x-ray, and they were shocked that CityMD didn’t bother to do the x-ray. Then I was advised by the doctor that the two medications prescribed by CityMD are both muscle relaxants and shouldn’t be taken together. So yeah, not a great experience. Kind of a waste of time.

Gave me antibiotics that i reacted bad too. I called to see if they will switch it for me. They said to come back so we can redo lab testing again. Why am i going to spend more money in what you JUST did YESTERDAY.. they gave me medication that i cant take while on pain medication ( i had back surgery ) after already telling them what medication i am taking. Place is a ioke. Dont waiste your time or money. Go to your regular md. Youll end up better faster.
I would not go back there for me as a non-English speaking person, it was a terrible service when I entered the office or when I tried to communicate by phone to get my scan read, the service in front was excellent to the girls, thank you very much for all your help and comprehension

2022-05-26I went in for a mono test because my friend was diagnosed and someone came in for 5 seconds, looked at my neck, and said you don’t need a mono test and then I went home. I was charged $30 copay. Then I was charged $25 extra 2 months later for no apparent reason. Called billing services and the person was kind of nasty and said well that’s the other half of the copay. Not his fault but I really don’t understand why I wasn’t just told the whole upfront copay price because I might have just skipped going and done a Google search on whether I had mono symptoms. People were nice and checkin was easy though.

2022-05-11I was there two days in a row - once for a slip and fall and the next day for a PCR test for travel - and I have nothing but good things to say. Friendly staff, easy check-in, nice, big, clean space, very competent staff. I was seen for my injury in a very timely fashion…doctor consult, x-rays and all…I was in and out in under an hour. The PCR tests for my husband and me took less than 15 minutes, start to finish, and the staff were wonderful.

2022-06-26Dr.Scott Hopkins And his assistant performed a rapid and PCR Covid 19 test on me and another family member incorrectly. We explained we had been in very close contact with a confirmed case of Covid and we’re experience symptoms. Dr.Scott Hopkins didn’t bother to check our throats or nose or anything really and then proceeded to barley swipe the inside tip of our nostrils. His assistant who performed the rapid just before also dumped the entire vial of solution into the test when you are only suppose to do 3 drops. Both test came back negative and that same day we went and got other profession testing done and came back positive. Moral of the story don’t go to this location.

2022-02-10I truly give this place a 1. The only good thing was the help and friendliness of front desk. I came on a monday with a urinary tract infection. I told the nurse and doctor my symptoms which all are that of a uti. They did a quick test that came up negative. They did not give me any antibiotic which I thought was strange. The doctor rushed me & talked over me. She was literally in the room for a minute. It is now Thursday . I have been in terrible pain , light fever and chills since my visit. They just called me saying the test was positive for UTi! They should have given me an antibiotic just in case but they just phoned in for me one NOW. I understand it is a walk- in BUT these doctors need to actually listen and do their job instead of making it feel even more so like a factory. They are in the business of helping people. This is why so many people do not trust doctors. I will not go back to this location.

2022-05-18I came in to have my foot xrayed as I tripped and fell and it was black and blue and painful. The tech took the X-ray, the doctor or someone saw there was a fracture. I was given a post surgical shoe and told to follow up with a podiatrist. The shoe was handed to me, not put on me. It turned out that I had a spiral fracture that should have been immobilized in a non weight bearing boot or casted.Totally incompetent staff and physician.

2022-03-04Although nice people and quick service... The doctor had my husband open and close his mouth multiple times during examination, open wide to look in, took XR, and concluded his jaw was bruised.... we later found it was broken, which could be seen on XR, and needed wiring for a month. The hospital that ended up figuring out it was broken said opening like that was the worst thing he couldve done for it.

2022-06-21They get half the stars for doing half the job. Got checked out, they sent meds to the pharmacy. I had to go to the pharmacy 4 times and call repeatedly for them to send meds covered by insurance. Incompetent office staff.

2022-04-08Their summit health virtual visits are a joke. I wasnt even able to set up one it just kept saying there was nothing available no matter what I did. I called a location they had no idea on anything about the app in farmingville, so they transfered me to after visit care and the women was just like yeah Im not sure refresh your page and hangs up on me. What a joke. Go to a different urgent care or try getting a virtual with your PCP because they dont deserve the money from your health insurance if they cant even have a virtual visit app work right.

2022-05-21Front desk staff is rude, asked to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor didn’t even want to talk to discuss my concerns, she cowardly had one of her staff members pass me a phone number to make a complaint. Very unprofessional.. Otherwise, the doctors are amazing.
