This place deserves zero stars. I went there at 4pm, they told me to leave my contact and that I can only come back after I get a text from them because at the time I got there I was 21 in the line. At 6:50pm, I got a text to go there because its my turn; however, when I got to the office, there were at least 8 people there waiting and guess what, I waited another hour inside with all the sick people. So, yes, no need to mention that I was not happy. In the end, I decided to leave at 7:55pm(they close at 8pm) and I was the only person left in the hall waiting, unbelievable! What is the point of the texting if I had to wait another hour for nothing???It took me in total 4h for a rapid covid testing that I didnt get in the end. The worst!!!
I have been so fed up with our healthcare system that I actually left working for the darn system earlier this year. But this is the best experience Ive ever had getting healthcare. The people here were super friendly and efficient, despite having a ton of people to deal with. I dislocated my jaw and they were super good about communicating non-verbally, getting me in immediately for some x-rays, and helping me reset it. I cant recommend the location, the friendly staff (especially Staci the PA!) enough!
Ratchet af office. Excuse my language. They must have hired the most uneducated people there. I went in for an appointment and felt like I was being framed for something. Not friendly. The office may look clean but the front desk definitely do not know anything about hospitality. Waited so long for a checkup. I asked for the assistant manager munham or whatever you say her name. She was clearly into looks instead of working there. This is the financial district, like come on. Completely trash
The front desk staff members are incredibly rude.I say hello..no response.I say excuse me..no response.I say Im headed to the moon in ten minutes..no response.Something is grumbled to me about checking in at the kiosk/machine.Machine doesnt work, I go back over to Ms. Sunshine....Spends an actual five minutes typing in silence while making passive aggressive sounds until I am eventually told to have a seat.Really guys? Im here because Im not feeling well, not because Im looking for new friends. How about do the job you are paid to do so that I dont die while waiting to be seen...just thinking out loud here.
Dont go to this one. The Fulton one has better service. It was a mess: I was told to come at 6pm but ended up being attended at 7:30. My ID and info was not recognized and ended up being rudely treated by staff because I had too many accounts. I received an email saying results were in, they are not. In fairness, the medical professionals taking tests and caring for patients are good. The rest is awful.
The front desk staff were great, despite the strain of covid and the absurd amount of patients in the pre-holiday rush. The doctor was another story: extremely arrogant, didnt give me his name when he walked in, spoke condescendingly and way too fast to be understood to the point where the assistant ended up kindly repeating everything he said more slowly. The doctor also told me I should not dare to have my cell phone out while in a doctors office. What if Im having a family emergency, does his rule still hold? Just wondering.
From staff to the doctors, they were all professionals. Even though I waited for so long, the very minute I entered the clinic, my tiredness was gone because they were courteous and kind to everyone. The place was so clean. Dra. Natasha Williams who attended to me was so kind and helpful. Thanks to all of you. God bless and Merry Christmas.
Got covid tested here. You have to arrive early to reserve an appointment time. When you arrive, the process is quick. I remember the nurse I had being SO pleasant and friendly which really made me feel comfortable there and made my day. Thank you health care workers!!!
I have to say that the Physicians, their kindness, their care and how human they were was great, and out of the charts and they are the reason why I am leaving a star at all. The front desk however was a disaster: one of the women on Sunday in particular. The other one took some pity and was nicer which by that point I was shaking like a leaf. I am older, and with a thick skin. I had never dropped things because I had been yelled at in that crass manner, and that was the case. The yelling was so bad I was frazzled the rest of the visit and I even wrote wrong my phone number. I brought the US passport as an ID because they have not sent my new ID that was a issue for her, as it is not American ID (not true, or she probably thought it was a passport from another country), she also questioned that my daughter is a minor. Everything that can go wrong in the front desk for a check-in which I have done before just not in this location. No healthcare quality around it at all that represents experiences I have had with CityMD. The Doctors were superior in every aspect though.
The office on Broad st has been crucial during the pandemic. I’ve seen them helping people throughout by extending their hours when lines were long for covid testing, adding online scheduling and text alerts when it was really bad. But the staff inside never let the pressure show, always friendly and nice. I’ve never used any kind of urgent care prior to 2020, but I would turn to them first if needed.
If you want to sit in pain for days without your prescription, go to CityMD Broad St ! They told me that the system crashed, yet some of my prescriptions were successfully sent but not all. Unfortunately, this was after I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic that was prescribed here. The pharmacy is also literally up the street.I had to call multiple times and got NO help whatsoever. The first time I called, the front desk person ( either Sam or Vanessa) told me there was nothing they can do even tho the script was already written. I was then put on hold with Aftercare for an hour with no help.I then called the CityMD again, and a manager told me that she would personally call the pharmacy. She told me to check back in thirty minutes with the pharmacy. So I call the pharmacy after a work meeting, one hour later, and they told me there is no prescription available and that no one called from CityMD.I call CityMD for the third time, and Vanessa tells me that the manager is no longer available. Vanessa tells me, we cant do anything for you. I ask Vanessa to put me on the phone with a supervisor or doctor, and with an attitude, she puts me on hold with Aftercare, who after 1 hour, has not answered. YET AGAIN.
My first experience at City MD here was great, it was a very short wait. The doctor was kind, when I mentioned I was traveling to a country abroad he brought me a health fact sheet for the country. I got a vaccine here and didn’t feel a thing. The people at the front desk were very kind as well. Overall the place was professional and the space was welcoming and clean.
What a great experience. I walked right in and got taken care of. Even with these long lines these days their virtual appointments and constant text message updates really pays off to know where you stand. I would recommend this office so anyone that is looking for professionalism and efficient service.
I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS!I went in for a stye. Thats it. Just a stye. The doctor hardly looked at me. He definitely didnt even touch it. I was prescribed something that did absolutely nothing, which my ophthalmologist later confirmed was a pointless prescription for my stye (which he actually did look at thoroughly). After the visit, my stye lasted 4 weeks. I tried calling CityMD because I was told to if it lasted a week after. No one called me back or helped me. I never heard from the doctor again. After being the most useless visit/people/doctors in the world, I was charged $300, even after asking up front if Id be charged anything and being told just a small co-pay. Literally for NOTHING. I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER go to CityMD again, and neither should you!
I walked in not feeling well and a little overwhelmed because it was my first time at this urgent care. The one woman at the front desk was very kind but the other was extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. She was very unprofessional and this is why Im rating this location 2 stars. The doctor and other workers there were kind but wish I could have had a good experience from the get go
Went there today for sore throat and they ran several test for strep, mono, and tonsillitis pretty quickly. While getting tested I started feeling nauseous out of nowhere and almost passed out. All I told the nurse was “I’m pretty lightheaded” and she immediately stopped what she as doing, brought my feet up, protected my head, layed me back and helped me relax then finished testing. Could not have asked for better care!
Just left after waiting 2 hours to get the flu shot. Every time i asked was “20-30 minutes more” or you are next. Finally i was taken to the room where after some of the usual questions i waited for another 20 minutes. No doctor in sight and decided to leave. People were nice but - sorry - not professional. Just tell the “patient - client” to come at a later time when less busy.
The front desk receptionists do not want to work! It is truly the worst service. They kept loosing my chart and placing me on hold for over 40 min. They kept telling me that I was not seen today so I was not a priority…I do not recommend to go there, that place is nothing professional.
Great staff and service! Barely waited a few minutes after checking in via kiosk (I had been to City MD before, just not this location) to be seen (which is almost unheard of these days). Doctor was excellent in her bedside manner; everything was explained clearly and her examination was thorough. I highly recommend visiting this location if you’re feeling under the weather and in the area!
Waited on line for 2.5 hours which is expected because of the amount of people needing rapid covid tests. But I Then had to go in again later that day for another rapid covid test because the first test came back inconclusive. Never got my test results back on email or the citymd portal. Reception staff was extremely rude.
Worst CityMD experience Ive had to date. Do not go to this location. I walked in and stated I wanted to check if I had the flu. The spanish manager there was more interested in arguing with me about how much copay I was willing to pay right this moment vs getting me checked. I walked out and said I would go elsewhere. Who argues with someone for $25 right now vs being billed when they just want to know if they are sick or not.
The care was good and a overall good experience, but 2 months later they sent a bill for $75 after I agreed to pay in full while I was there. When I inquired why I was being charged another $75 I was told it was because the doctor had written a prescription. Wow! $125 to look at my rash and $75 to write a prescription for it. Beware of extra charges.
I dont know whats worse - the incompetence or the lies.I went in for a diagnostic test on 10/22. I was told that the results would be ready in one to three business days. After a week of checking the patient portal, I called after care on 10/29 only to find out that there was some problem with the test, and it had to be retaken. I suppose that if I didnt call I never would have found out.I promptly returned to this location for a retest within an hour of that phone call, and met with Ms. Chen. I was told that the test would be done as an urgent request - and that I would be contacted as soon as it was delivered to Quest, and that the results would be ready in one to two business days.I was not contacted. A couple of days later I called after care again. I was told that the test did make it to Quest as an urgent request, but the results would not be ready until after the weekend. This morning (11/4) I called after care again, and was told that the test results would be available later in the day - this did not happen. I called again this evening, and was told that the results could take seven business days to process - it is unclear to me as to what that means - seven days from when I was retested, or seven days from when the sample made it to Quest? How does an urgent request take this long?I went to CityMD to find out if I was infected with something. I still dont know - and I have not been offered any antibiotics in the meantime. All I do know is that CityMD does not care - not about your health, not about anyones health.
The CityMD on 24 Broad Street is not a kind place. Please do not waste your money or time. I would prefer you go to the nearest ER and pay the copay that is worthwhile then being rushed by the unprofessional staff and physician (Dr. Faton Bytyci). I gave it two stars only because the young lady checking me out and taking my copayment was professional. The front staff, medical staff, physician and diagnosis was a joke. Maybe all because I walked in the office 40 minutes before they were set to close, you dont treat patients as such! Especially 1 that does not feel well.
My girlfriend came here for a relatively simple cut but the care provided was incomplete and then she was billed incorrectly. When she called to try and fix the bill she kept being talked over while trying to ask questions and was then quoted four different totals for the bill; none of which were correct. Then at the end of it they tried to say that the total of her bill was $20 more than before calling.
I share a studio apartment with my boyfriend. He came down with the flu and they would not give him medicine until his second visit back even though he tested positive for the flu. A week later I was sick and I went straight to CityMD and left with absolutely nothing after telling them I live with my boyfriend was just HERE and has the flu. Now they want me to come back a week later to see if I need a zpak which is just a scam to take your money. WASTE OF TIME.
Dr. Perry and Cheyenne (I’m hoping i spelled that correctly) where awesome sauce today! had to go in for a fun little situation, but they laughed at all my jokes, cracked a couple of their own, we bonded over Cardi B and her saying COrOnAViRuS, ‘twas a joy to be stick with a giant needle by them! Ten out of ten would recommend!

2022-02-26As another reviewer said, it seems like most of these 1 star ratings are from peak covid spikes. I went at noon on a Saturday for a rapid test, no line, nice and efficient staff, they called my name within minutes. Nurse did the test quick and painless, the doctor came in minutes later to make sure I had no questions and then I was out the door. Spent a total of 15 mins there and got my results emailed to me in less than 2 hours. Clean, spacious office. Maybe more crowded on work days when all the nearby office buildings are full, but on a weekend it was empty and quick!

2022-05-31Last appointment May2022The provider I saw was extremely nice, careful, never made me feel rushed.I am Italian, and she really cared that I understood everything - she googled one word for me and showed me picture of a recommended medication I was not familiar with. The wait depends on how many people are there - mine wasnt long. The provider asked me lots of relevant questions, recommended me to book an appointment with a specialist - which I did.I was very happy about my last appointment!

2022-08-02My doctor Staci Somerfeld was incredible. She made me feel comfortable and at ease as soon as she walked in the room. She explained everything in detail to me (with no rush). Staci also happily answered all of my questions (with no rush). Probably the most pleasant doctors experience I’ve ever had! She’s amazing.

2022-06-07This place was amazing with our Son. He was at the playground in battery park and busted his cheek wide open. CityMD was able to get him 4 stitches and back to vacation in less than 45 minutes. The Doctor and Hunter were excellent in their bedside manners and keeping him calm and comfortable throughout the process. Thanks CityMD!

2022-04-12Dont go here for anything these people dont what they are doing. Went in for PCR test (got charged for $75). I get home and it is rapid test. Why would anyone go get a rapid test when you can get those at home. These people dont know what they are doing.

2021-12-21I walked into this CityMD around 12pm this afternoon for a covid test as I have not been feeling so well and found out one of my coworkers tested positive yesterday. I had called about 15 minutes before this and was told they have tests and I do not need an appointment however, when I arrived I was turned away. The person at the desk again confirmed they had rapid tests available on hand, but told me Id have to come back tomorrow morning. There were only about 5 people in the waiting area so I am extremely confused why I was told I would need to come back another time. No wonder covid is spreading like wildfire through the city.

2021-11-06Terrible. Went there and explained my daughter was exposed to a covid positive student. my wife just had cancer surgery a few days ago so did the quick test that gives results in 15 minutes. put aside the hour wait to get tested while no one was even in the place. an hour after the test I biked back to ask and got negative results. they had not communicated results for an hour so we waited outside the apt. the staff response was whatever. terrible place
