Waited in line for 30-45 mins in the snow and the front desk staff was inattentive to the fact that it was snowing and kept people outside for longer than necessary when there were 2-3 patients waiting inside, and when another patient and I entered - one of the women said “you should have waited to be called” when she wasn’t paying attention to the fact that 5-7 people just left the office, nor looking outside to see how long the line was, or aware of the fact that it was snowing and freezing. The NP and doctor were very kind and attentive however, and I was in and out in just a few minutes. The actual care experience was immensely positive and enjoyable. I would recommend hiring people with more positive and attentive energy to work at the front desk - I would have given this location 5 stars if it hadn’t been for them.
Cant give zero stars and write a review. For an urgent care chain much like McDonalds City MD and ALL of its locations have lost their heart and soul. Patients are treated like a dollar sign instead of a human with an ailment. The better your insurance or if you pay out of pocket the better care one receives. If one is really feeling sick or needs stitches go to the local hospital ER not cookie cutter establishments like City MD where male nurses dont listen to what you say and doctors write prescriptions without actually physically examining one. You deserve the best treatment regardless of your socioeconomic status.
Ive been here a few times. Very professional staff always willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your care. The front desk are always kind and the first time I went they gave my daughter a City MD kirke teddy bear which she cherish. I never been there long, I recommend if you need services and cannot wait until the next day your doctor is available but dont need the ER.
I am so impressed by my experience here from start to finish. The office staff was friendly and efficient, it was clean. Nurse Annie was amazing and knew how to create a calming atmosphere and the doctor was kind and quick. Overall great atmosphere that was attentive and welcoming to my needs. I will be returning here. They actually made it a pleasant experience to go to the doctor. THANK YOU TEAM.
I’ve never felt more safe and not afraid in any facility I’ve ever walked in. The receptionists behind the desk are heaven sent. The most hopeful staff I’ve ever encountered in the medical field. Thank you Chionna and Thank you Bre for making all my visits timely and efficient. They need more ppl like you ladies
If you need to get a COVID test in New York, this is the place to go. They are organized, and as long as you go early in the morning (currently, they take walk-ins only), you will get a same-day appointment, be texted to return 30 minutes before your appointment, and when you return, youll get right in. Results emailed to you 30 - 60 minutes after the test. Very efficient, but also very kind, patient and professional despite having to deal with hundreds of people every day throughout the cold holiday season. Thank you for providing this essential service to the community and doing it with care!
I went to get a rapid Covid test. The long line was not something they could control. The system was that they guaranteed a certain number of people would be seen. Many folks stayed in the line on spec but could not be seen. But once inside, the place was lovely. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and overall terrific. It was the end of a long day for all of us and they were patient and kind.
Quick and clean during pandemic, visited twice for testing. Make sure nurse doesn’t swab your nose too hard (it only needs to tickle!). Both doctors I saw were caring, patient, and efficient. Reception and nurses great overall too. There’s hand sanitizer and wipes for the sign-in station and at reception, and seating/entry queue to limit how close people are to each other.
From the moment I stepped in for my covid test until the moment I left, it was the fastest medical experience Ive ever had. Every single person treated me with patience and kindness even though it was the end of a very long and busy day for them. The line outside was long but they cant help that. Once inside I was tested and done within 15 minutes. Thank you!
Dr Wagner was great. He answered all my questions and took time to learn my history. Fulton Street is Efficient in providing Covid testing. You are placed on a waiting list and then called back so you are not left standing outside. Most of the reception staff is considerate and patient. I can overlook a brisk retort since it must be a stressful job handling so many patients during this pandemic. Also with rapid testing you get your results within hours.
These people are doing a great job with covid testing! You dont need to pre-register, just hop in the line outside. I waited in line outside for about 1 hour 45 minutes and yes, it was cold out there, but they really have the process as quick and streamlined as they can. They had small groups of people entering at about 10 to 15 minute intervals. Once I got inside and registered on an iPad, I sat in a waiting room chair 10 minutes. The nurse and doctor were both professional and speedy, and I was in the building a total of about 25 minutes. The rapid testing was not painful, just a little uncomfortable with a swab at 10 seconds each nostril.Got my results within 30 minutes!Definitely recommend, but dress extra warm!
They billed me twice for a single visit. Whoever I spoke to was extremely rude and impatient. I had tried to explained to this woman that I have already contacted my insurance, and the issue with the insurance has been resolved and that I was just double-checking that the statement which showed me being billed twice was an error or something. After the woman told me about the insurance issue I informed her that I had already resolved that, but was wondering about being billed twice. She said nothing showed on her end and I was perplexed. She said I could come in but informed her that Im unable to come in because I am in the military which is why Im calling about this. She basically said Im SOL and put me on hold for a manager. The manager, Shantell, was a saint. She was patient and extremely helpful, but that woman under her had no Holiday Spirit. I pray for her and her family for the upcoming year.
Citymd has been best experience ever, i have been to multiple locations. They are professional and fast. The only location I don’t like is JH, queens locations but other than that Citymd is great and fast. The doctors and employees are kind. The services is quick even during covid19 I have done almost 4-5 covid19 test here. Recently my finger got infected and I was scared that I might have to cut it off but I walked to citymd and the doc cut my wound and removed the pus and gave me antibiotics and boom few days my infection looks like it’s healing and no more pain. Thank you guys.
I was visiting from out of town and needed assistance for an injured shoulder. Dr Bhatia was excellent. He was extremely thorough and took time to diagnose my injury and provide immediate assistance. He was caring and took interest in me and my situation, which is great for a walk-in clinic. The wait time was negligible and I was seen within 5 minutes after coming in. The urgent care clinic was pristine and clean and the staff friendly and efficient. I would go there again without hesitation if I ever need to again when travelling to NYC.
The staff are wonderful; Marina the girl working at the front desk was extremely helpful over the phone and in person, she recognized me when she saw me limping since I mentioned me knee pain over the phone. The medical scribe (I forgot her name was great) and Dr John was also great. As a healthcare professional myself I am impressed with this high class service!
Very efficient, professional, clean. The waiting area was very fresh and well appropriated. Although I’ve never waited too long to see a doctor. Great for those “did I break it” moments. I left feeling very assured my immediate needs were meant. Followed with my personal physician as directed and healed very well. I highly recommend.
Amazing experience. Heard a lot of great things and went for the first time yesterday. The front desk staff were smiling and very friendly and explained how it works. I was seen within five minutes and got immediate and friendly care by the nurse and doctor. Had a flu test (sticking the swab up your nose which is a bit uncomfortable) and the nurse kept apologizing for the discomfort. Would go again and recommend this location to all. Very clean inside too
What an amazing experience, twice in a row! I sliced my finger causing a deep wound. After having an AWFUL experience at a hospital, I refused to go back there and thought of coming to CityMD.The receptionists are kind and I was taken back to a room within 5 minutes of being there (They take walk-ins only; waiting time may vary). The doctors were knowledgeable and made me feel confident in the way they were handling my injury.Would highly recommend this site.
I think they may have forgotten they are actually in the business of emergency care. A girl just walked in literally holding on her bleeding finger… and the front desk staff turned her away for not wearing a mask “no we don’t have any masks we can give you.” Please remind the staff that this is NOT just a Covid swab factory. People in the neighborhood need a place for urgent care still!!
This place seems great for all Covid related matters. However, people who suspect they have Covid are in a tiny waiting room with every one else. I know other facilities do their best to quarantine suspected covid cases. Doctors and front desk staff were good otherwise.
My experience going to CityMD Fulton was all around positive. I was treated kindly, everything was explained to me, and the process of getting tested for COVID was smooth and effortless. However, the one thing that I found strange is that there was a few front desk attendants with their masks constantly off by their chin area, others with their masks under their noses. Given the current situation our world is living, and how rapidly COVID-19 cases are rising, behaviors such as these should be discouraged on medical settings as much as possible. Also, some sort of sanitizer should be provided to disinfect the self check-in screens between use. No sanitizing product was clearly visible or within reach after you self checked in.
Great staff and nice facilities. The wait estimate online is bogus (when it says 3 mins, its an hour). Still, everyone was very helpful and apologetic about the wait, the doctor was thorough and a good listener, and I left quite satisfied that I wasnt dying. They do push prescriptions though--they wired one directly to the pharmacy even though I didnt end up needing it. (Doubt the pharmacy appreciated that.)
Thank you so much you guys are the BEST. Thank you for asking me why I wanted to take the PCR test. I told them I was traveling to PR for vacation and I got my test result in two days super fast which allow me to enjoy my vacation, feeling super happy and comfortable of not getting any body sick.
Got in for COVID rapid and PCR tests within a half hour... But its been 7 days since my PCR test (results expected within 3-5days and I cant get any answers on my results. Tried calling the Aftercare team multiple times and sat on hold for a half hour and no one ever picks up, the line eventually disconnects. Tried emailing today, they first told me to call, and then after relaying my experience they asked for my full name and DOB.... And now 6 hrs later, still no response from them either. I will be in contact with unvaxd individuals this coming week and need to know ASAP if I am a risk to them (they cannot get vaxd due to age). I only went to CityMD because the mobile COVID testing truck had been having technical issues that day and was unavailable - hopefully will not need to use this location again.
Great place! The staff was all extremely friendly and it was a really fast process. SUPER FAST from the moment I walked in to the time I walked out it was less than an hour, and that was with the chatting that I did and my first dose of medicine. The checkin process was easy, the helping staff was nice and the doctor was great. Ive already recommended to multiple friends. With my insurance its a copay of $25 and for the quality of everything I would gladly pay more. The facility is clean the people are great, this is like a hidden gem. Its also right near fulton st. station so easy access to pretty much everyone.
NOT COVID SAFE OR PROFESSIONAL: Amidst a pandemic, the staff either were not even wearing masks/ face coverings; or else they had them on just over the mouth, under the nose (with the exception of the doctor and nurse, who both wore masks correctly). They also did not require patients to wear masks, and some of them in the waiting room were wearing them under the nose as well. I was very disheartened to see a medical clinic not following government guidelines on Covid safety when it seemed that all the patients were there to get Covid tested. My concern is that I might have caught Covid getting my test at CityMD Fulton Urgent Care due to the carelessness of the staff and poor management that does not enforce government safety regulations. I would expect more from medical professionals.
I went in there with vague symptoms, and the doctor, Dr. Owen, was very attentive and extremely thorough in taking time to figure out the issue. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional, and I even got a follow-up call from the Dr. himself that night to let me know how all my lab work came back. I also got an email of suggested specialists who accept my insurance a few hours after getting home. I hope I dont have to go back soon, but I would if need be and would recommend this location of City MD!
The doctors and staff themselves are wonderful. Were it not for the overwhelming mildew + mold smell in there - and it’s BAD - they would get 5-Stars. They admitted they had a flood last year and even said they should get air cleaners but they don’t. If you have mold allergy steer clear. And if not, well they are nice competent doctors and staff.
My 7 year old sliced his foot on an escalator going to a movie. I was pretty sure it would need stitches and the closest place was the CityMD. We went and were in and out in less than an hour and Im pretty sure an emergency room would have taken hours. The Dr was amazing, very friendly and great with kids. While he was getting sewn up they gave my daughter a coloring book to keep her happy. It was also very clean. Thanks CityMD!
Misdiagnosed! Office was spotless..staff was friendly..wait time minimal..Sadly misdiagnosed by PA who saw me. I told her I had a bad cough and congestion for over a week. I not able to sleep and bringin up alot of congestion .Tried over the counter meds and they were not working. I was given a chest xray.I was told no congestion..Must be allergies and also to check my blood pressure meds..Well by the next morning I was in my doctors office. He confirmed I had an upper respiratory infection and given 2 meds..He read City MDs xray and showed me the congestion..Maybe when an adult tells you they are sick with active congestion..believe them.
Made a trip here with an injured knee. Every member of the staff was super kind, polite, and helpful. Was seen promptly by a doctor. Got x-rays on site. They even set up an orthopedist appointment for me while I was there. A great experience. Cant remember the last time I said that about anything healthcare-related.
I called beforehand to confirm they offered a particular service (as recommended by my primary care doctor). On the phone call the receptionist at the Fulton location confirmed they offered the service at the Fulton location. I then traveled 1 hour to get there only to find out that they in fact do not offer that service nor does any of their locations.
Fell that morning and fractured my finger. I visited this location, and within an hour i was examined, x-rayed, splinted, and sent on my way. All of the staff I encountered was courteous and attentive. I know that if I visited an emergency room I wouldve waited for hours to be seen. This location was bright, clean, and conveniently located near the subway. Highly recommend.
Talk about being seen right away. I was shocked on how fast I was seen. I have a primary care doctor, but I was in pain and didnt want to wait. So, I walked in, signed up at the kiosk, sat for about five minutes, then was seen immediately. The staff was friendly and the environment was very clean.
I could not have been more happy with my service here. The entire staff was friendly and helpful from beginning to end. They were efficient but made me feel that they cared enough to make sure I didn’t leave without the proper help/attention.It’s also incredibly clean - would absolutely recommend.
Been to City MD for several times for Covid test and flu 💉 shot...Peoplle there are friendly and taking time with us although we already registered..Once finished they will check with our email and phone number again..just to make very sure results will send to us...keep it 👍👍
Front desk staff is incompetent and rude. Paperwork is repetitive and disorganized. I spent more time filling out the same info again and again than I did being seen by medical staff. There’s a great NYU urgent care a few blocks away that actually knows how to run a business. Try that instead, don’t waste two hours of your life at CityMD Fulton like I just did.
Got seen late last night as a walk in by Dr. Bhatia and his medical assistant. Timely, efficient, and great bedside manner. Although I don’t have an immediate remedy for my ailment, I feel relieved knowing the tests were done to ensure it is not something life threatening. How I receive a follow up on Monday for a specialist will determine the 5th star for customer service. But as of now, I recommend this CityMD location, and Dr. Bhatia.
On a slow night, doctor was speaking a mile a minute and out of the room in a flash. Prescribed 5 different medications without explanation as well, plus told me to get a neti pot before I could use 2 of them and switch between Tylenol and Motrin (not on the list). Support staff sent me to a pharmacy that was closed, then when I called them to transfer to another one, I had to walk a mile on a January night to get there.Upon arrival, pharmacist said they had not received an order from CityMD. I called CityMD 2 more times to ensure that they sent the medications, even having the support staff member promise they would send it before CityMD closed. They did not. It’s day 2 and I am without the meds they prescribed me. $100 co-pay, a follow up call the next day, walking all over Brooklyn with false promises yielded nothing and I’m now in too much pain to get out of my bed. Thanks for nothing CityMD. You should be ashamed of the way you treat patients and your business model is abysmal.
Went in for a covid test, was told it would take 5-7 days for the results, as I checked in with them as the date approached they extended it over and over, today is day 14 and still no results. Friends of mine got their test results from other location within 3-5 days.
Inflated prices..so my health insurance United Health Care clearly stated that my co payment was 25$..for urgent care..but the kept challenging that the insurance verification system was giving a co payment of a whooping..75$..like really..my card was accurate..and I proceeded to call the insurance company..and even logged in to the portal..to show what my health benefits..consisted of..and they told me that I was wrong still..that there verification system is correct..the front desk rep...was okay..then I asked to speak to a office manager..named Steve..and he clearly said he didnt have no time.to talk co payments with me or my insurance rep..which was totally unprofessional...What I dont understand that they tried to strong arm..me into paying what the wanted me to pay.Look i pay my premium every two weeks to pay what I need.not what they want..so I shouldnt run into this mess.Total rip off..!!!

2022-03-31The doctor unwilling to do her job...routine blood work that I have been doing for years in other City MD branches she refused to do.. she had no idea what she was doing... unqualified.. Bad communication, lacking basic social skill..first time encountering such a grandiose MD.

2021-05-26Wow! An unexpected injury while in NYC led me to search for an urgent care center the following day when realizing my wound was deeper than I thought. This location was right around from my hotel and got mostly positive reviews. I was hoping that would be the same for me. I arrived shortly after opening on a Monday morning only finding about 6 other patients, all in for COVID testing in the waiting room. I can tell you the waiting room is not designed for social distancing as the chairs were close together, but it looked very clean. I was having issues with the kiosk and a nice girl came over to assist. My wait was super short. I was taken back, examined and then wound cleaning, bandaged and tetanus shot by Heather assisted by both a male and female. They all were amazing, including the girls at the kiosk and the front desk! Friendly, professional, warm and welcoming. I was in and out within 25 minutes. I would recommend this location for your urgent care needs.

2021-12-21I give this place 1 Star because there is no Option for NO stars !! This place is horrible , The front desk staff are rude and unprofessional , Not to mention the 300+ LB lady that works at the end of the desk thinks that because she weighs 300+ LBS that she is intimidatingly !! I was Talking to the office manager and all she did was stare at me and continuously roll her eyes as if I was directing convo her way !! I called to find out about Covid Testing and was told to come down and put my name on the list being that I was at work . I left early for my lunch break just to put my name on this List just to be told when I GOT THERE THAT THEY STOP ADDING NAMES TO SAID LIST AT 9AM !! I know there is no CAP to how many people they see daily I will be reporting this location to the State as they do receive State funding . Now here is the kicker !! As im leaving this TRASH location there was a women outside with 2 small children in a stroller ( she was also told to come and put her name on the list) but when she got there the man at the door turned her and her small children away because she was not there at 8am and they Stop adding names to said List at 9am !!! This place needs to be shut down or the need to be taken over with new emplyees

2021-12-28No star is terrible the personal and the guy who thinks he the owner I just wanted to punch him in the face and let him wait 5 hours outside when they had empty chairs inside plus they said they closed at 8.00pm. But they really closed and 1.00pm. Maybe someone should look at there payroll and find out what happening plus 4 n.y.pd.off duty cops came in at 1.00pm. And they were serve without even making a line plus they were technically closed so please upper management take a look at this.....horrible

2021-09-212 starts as opposed to 1 only because the front desk staff and the medical assistants are great - professional and friendly.the level of medical care is appalling. I complained of a sore throat and a sinus congestion - didnt even get examined.frankly i feel like complaining about this facility to my insurance plan.
