I want to city md in severe pain. After I got the results from an mri that showed a kidney stone I spoke to the pa.I asked her for pain meds and she said that’s not part of her treatment plan. I asked to talk to her manager who also said it can’t be done. She said she didn’t want to mask the pain.I said I need to take the edge off.She told me they could lose there license.I said absolutely ridiculous. They totally failed in there attempt at treating me!
Walked in to been seen because I was feeling ill. OverHeard a front desk employee offer to call a patient when it was their turn to be seen. Waiting there feeling like death and needed to lay down, proceed to ask if she would call me when it was my turn because I wanted to lay in my car and she tells me “no we don’t do that”. Told her she just told the other patient she would call her and her response was, “she has a follow up and it’s a different case”. Absolutely wrong…you can not and should not treat people different. If you’re going to offer a service to one patient the same service should be offered across the board. Shame on you CityMD!! You need to do better
Great experience every time I’ve been there. Easy check in, went for a covid test and wait time was 2 hours so I went home and they text me 30 minutes before my appointment! No waiting in a lobby with potentially sick patients. Place is clean and they have small parking lot or on street parking. Close to a bus stop if you aren’t driving.
ADDED INFO on 10/21/2021.I received an email with a link to view my results on a summithealth.com website and the link was not working.Original review 10/19/2021.The facility is clean, brightly lit, its run well and the staff are all friendly and professional when youre there, but the followup leaves room for improvement. For example, I recd a text message an hour ago telling me to call CityMed at an 855 number and press option 1. Putting aside that there really was no option 1, I navigated my way to the results section of the voicemail maze (because I assumed it was a followup to yesterdays visit) and held for literally 45 minutes before a person picked up. (A half hour into the wait time, I called the actual facility on Richmond Ave and was told they could not tell me why I got the call and told me to call the same number). After I finally got thorugh to a person at the 855 number, she confirmed my identity and put me on hold for an another 15 minutes before I got to speak to the person with my results. On a prior occasion, I had trouble filing a prescription becasue they forgot to send it to the pharmacy. On that occasion it was also difficult to get someone on the phone to rectify the situation - that time it was because someone had gone to lunch - while I waited at the pharmacy. I think I got good medical treatment here but next time I need an urgi center, based on the aftercare/followup, I might try somewhere else.
The actual care was very good, but i had a issue with the prescription and tried to call. After being disconnected twice i finally got through but was on hold so long, i drove back to the office all the while on hold. Was on the phone over 50 minutes. Thankfully driving back and speaking to a human, i was able to get the help i needed. But not a nice experience while your feeling sick.
The doctor that examined my baby assumed that she had UTI(after I expressed my opinion). He did not perform the right test thou since the facility does not provide such service and is poorly equipped when it comes to pediatric care. The doctor said if the fever continues to give antibiotic. So I asked him how can you treat something if you dont know what she has? Also he said that the rash is viral. Well, I told him antibiotics dont treat viral infections! I walked out. I wont be going back.My boyfriend did not have a have a good experience with that particular doctor either about a month ago and we pretty much wasted our time there. Please go elsewhere. Safe your time and energy.
This location is terrible. 3 days in a row attempting to get a COVID exam and unable to. I called ahead of time, was told to come in, and then they sent me away when I arrived. The waiting room looked empty. On Saturday, they closed for no apparent reason. It seems they are really trying to ease their workload. I’ll be going to the 812 Forest Avenue location instead where they are customer friendly and organized.
Was in pain waited in the room for half hour then I give my information for my prescriptions to be sent to my pharmacy and they sent it to a different pharmacy so I’m in pain and I have to drive all the way to that other pharmacy they sent it too And wait another half hour for my prescription to be done
I went there three of till date . It is very neat , clean , spacious , well illumniated day care center as compared to many others . But last time i had to wait for more than an hour for many reasons mainly because of noncoperative behavior of front desk staff . Three staff were present on frlmt desk , one of them busy in eating fruit salad and giggling all the time , lying back on her chair and not helping out the customers whether they are queued or how long is there waiting time despite being asked . I realised there must have been a glitch in software so i incquired about delay . She told me that i wasnt being listed in the queue and i ll be getting mu number soon and she went on break after a while . I went there for a medical emergency but was not seen even after one hour 15 min so i went to help desk and asked how further it will take since people who came half an hour after me were even taken in , she told me that there were three more people ahead of me . I had to leave the office without being dependent examined , very disappointed with my last visit.
Ive been here a couple of times and had positive experiences. Last visit was to get the rapid COVID-19 test few days before Xmas. Arrived at 8:15am, waited in line for approx 20-25min, gave the young lady my information in order to be text back later in the afternoon. At 4pm, I received the text to return (had to return within 30 min). Upon arrival and check in, I waited maybe 5 minutes and then was tested. Received my results within 15 minutes of leaving. Everyone from the front desk personnel to the PA to the Dr was kind, friendly, and respectful.
Everyone here is very lovely and professional. The staff from the security guard at the front door, to the ladies at the front desk, and the medical assistants/nurses/doctors — they were all great and really took their time with my father and me. We will definitely be back if we are in need of an urgent care visit!
I had a wonderful experience at this facility. The staff greeted me very courteously. The surroundings were immaculate. The treating physician on call was exceptional. Her professionalism was demonstrated in her knowledge base of any questions I had . She was very thorough in obtaining a patient history, and I highly recommend this facility and especially the physician on call that day .Sincerely,Lou Ellen Kalb R.N.
While the care received at this facility is great, the way they manage patients is not. I understand that there are restrictions due to this virus but having people wait outside in line for 45 minutes in the rain and 39°F weather to check in is not acceptable. Other places figured out a system where you check in and wait in the car and theyll call you when its your turn.
Usually, my experience with CityMD has been good. However, for my last visit, I had labs done and they were lost. I am not sure how that happened, as I had expected patient samples to be stored in a safe/secure way. I hope this CityMD location finds a way to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
I was ignored and misdiagnosed all because I am a woman who is not white. I went in with nausea, fatigue, faintness. I was given a COVID test, a strep test and a pregnancy test (no way I am pregnant). My medical history dictated that at minimum a urinalysis be run and I asked for one (urine was already obtained - note unnecessary negative pregnancy test). And I was ignored. I was sent on my way with discharge papers of COVID exposure and told if symptoms continued to go to the hospital.Which I did. After hearing my history; blood and urine were obtained and I was diagnosed with a UTI. Which is an easy diagnosis that can be obtained and treated at an urgent care. All because all the PA could see was a woman of child bearing age (she said this to me) and obviously I have no idea what Im talking about ... smh shameful. UTIs can be disastrous! Imagine if I didnt listen to my own medical knowledge (which I have thanks to my medical docotrate) and didnt go to the ER?!
I gave it 4 1/2 stars because upon entering there were 2 receptionist & no clear instructions that patients must check in thru kiosk 1st. At end Kiosk instructs to go to front desk confusing. I went back on the line only to be told to have a seat. The waiting time was approximate an hour before seeing doctor. The doctor & staff were friendly.
Worst Doctors in the field in one area. I have been misdiagnosed twice. If you want to waste your time and money, please go here. I would like to sue both Doctors on staff. Absolutely ludicrous that I have to go out of my way to check on a doctor’s diagnosis while dealing with a sickness. The only thing this particular CityMD has going for them is their hours. Such a shame.
Before the pandemic, this CityMD was amazing to come to! Excellent service, wonderful staff. However recently it’s been a disaster. Long lines outside the door and long wait. They put the whole line in the waiting room to check in. I felt unsafe knowing that we are all so close to each other within proximity in a full waiting room with sick people . And certainly the staff looked extremely uncomfortable too. Looks like CityMD is not helping patients and even their own staff feel safe. This totally defeats the purpose of the “6 feet rule.” Step your game up CityMD
I went in after being sent home from work knowing I had a sinus infection and all they could talk to me about was COVID-19 after I assured the doctor several times I hadn’t been exposed and I’ve had the virus already and knew this wasn’t it. I needed an antibiotic for my sinus infection, I know this because my nose has been operated on twice and I get sinus infections often, my whole life. The doctor just kept talking to me about the vaccine and a PCR test. After he finally let up about Covid, he told me to drink fluids and rest and have a good night..... I said my primary care physician is closed (it was 9pm) and they normally give me an antibiotic when this happens, that’s why I’m here, as I’ve said 18 times before. Finally, he told his associates to send a script to my pharmacy. My CVS pharmacy is not 24 hours so I quickly called back RIGHT AFTER LEAVING!!!!! and no one answered the phone because they were closing soon and being lazy. I called 4 times, had a 24 hour CVS pharmacy call as well & no one answered. The woman from CVS called me back and said they’re definitely still there but they’re not answering so I left a message. Who does this? Why else would I come in at 9pm on a holiday weekend Friday night if I didn’t need relief right then and there? I wanted to stop my symptoms before they worsened. Now, next morning, I feel even worse. I called back and notified them that my pharmacy had to reorder the antibiotic as they were out of stock and asked if they can send the script elsewhere. I was told I had to deal with their “aftercare department” because I was seen the day prior. I WOULDNT HAVE HAD TO DO THAT IF SOMEONE PICKED UP THE PHONE LAST NIGHT WHILE THEY WERE STILL OPEN!!! useless. Don’t go here.
This particular location has an amazing crew! Lines and lines for days but they work Fast, Hard, and efficient. I’ve personally witnessed workers coming in late to help out to insure all patients be seen with given results on the same day for COVID. A place of business only operates properly when you have a great team to stand behind the name, this location sure has that... Overall an amazing job well done by all and I will surely return again.Petrina Rizzo
CityMD is the place to go to with any medical problem that shouldnt wait. This time it was a dog bite. They are all very professional, friendly and caring. They are extremely careful about following Covid precautions and made me feel relaxed and safe. I saw a PA who gave me a painless tetanus shot and prescribed the right antibiotic. He was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. It was a good experience all around
This was the best experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care center. I woke up that morning feeling worse than the night before and I didn’t want to wait long to be seen. This place opened earlier than my primary care doctor and the other urgent cares nearby. My wait was not long at all. I was seen by one of their PAs, Edward. He was very polite, listened to all my symptoms and concerns, and answered all my questions. The receptionists were also very personable. I would definitely feel comfortable coming back again.
If I could give a star I would do it!! Worse Person there is Edward ColucciWorst place ever we were waiting 5 hours and in the end they said they won’t take us. No dr its PA his name is Edward Colucci WORSE EVRRRRRRR.. didn’t even speak 2 mins with us I was so sick and he didn’t write medication for me and refused even to talk to me even for 1 min and I was begging him to get help or understand my situation I was feeling sick and I told him I can’t even drive back him.. but he didn’t have any kind or even a bit of mercy.
Staff is professional and great. Currently, PCR test results on time is not reliable. Took PCR test more than 4 days and no results. They transfer you to “results department” and on hold for more than 30 minutes each time I call with no answer. Just not reliable at this giving time if you need results or traveling (3 days prior).
Covid PCR NIGHTMARE!Usually my experience at this location is good. I have gotten the PCR at least 3 times now and the experience I had today was done INCORRECTLY by doctor Selatin Kraja.Sure, PCR tests are uncomfortable. The swab is pushed deep into the nasal cavity and swirled around a few times, your eyes tear and its done. This time, the doctor put the swab further up than I have ever experienced and PRESSED DOWN FIRMLY. He pressed down firmly and HELD IT THERE with the same pressure. Then swirled, then pressed firmly again and held it down. From the pain he caused my eyes were leaking and I was moaning trying to fight my body’s reaction to cry. Still he kept the swab in, with no consideration for my comfort or reactions. I sat there patiently, taking deep breaths to get through it. He did the next nostril using the same incorrect technique. The pain, disrespect and violation became unbearable for me to sit through so I got up crying and walked out.NO nurse or receptionist came up to me asking what happened, if I was okay... NOTHING. All they cared about is for me to check out despite my clear trauma. Persistently asking me the questions to check out even though I was crying from the experience I just went through.I have never been surrounded by such a cold hearted staff at a doctors office or urgent care.I am not afraid of a PCR test. I will get 100 more done because I am SURE it is his technique, not the test itself. I am not a nervous or intolerant person at a doctors office. I am comfortable, calm and obedient.I’m sorry for whoever else gets tested by this man, or has any negative experience at this location. They don’t care.
Horrible service !!! Front desk guy was rude !!! After two hours of waiting I seen a pa that couldn’t do nothing for me she said cause she wasn’t licensed I had 2 back surgeries and was in pain on a scale of 10 I usally get a shot a prescription for a pain med for 3 to 5 days shot was in back order and she stated she wasn’t licensed to give me any thing and she could not help me ! why is she there !!! I walk out but she walked out first I will call my ins and report this as well , she stated I would not be billed for this visit and I was ! Get real doctors in there not pa that do nothing !
I had a wonderful experience on my visit to this cityMD today. The facility is very clean. The staff at the front desk were very kind. I had the opportunity to be taken care of by the medical scribe (sorry, forgot the name) and by Dr. Perry. Both were very informative, caring, and professional. I am very appreciative. Thank you.
Hey all I just wanted to share my experience of CityMd with you, So I was Covid Positive and needed a Chest X-Ray to be sure I didnt have phenomena and was turned away from 5 radiology places and 2 urgent cares just b/c I was Positive and no one wanted me in there place I truly felt like a Lepper than I called CityMd and without hesitation they told me to come in and I was seen within 10 minutes the staff was friendly and kind, the office technology was awesome and efficient, The ONLY thing that I didnt like was the fact they tried to charge me a $25.00 Copay when I dont even have a copay and I was told that being it was an Ugent Care center its different??? I explained that I have been to many Ugent Care centers before and was never told that anyway they waived the fee as a 1 time courtesy. So that was my experience
Ive been to this location twice to get the swab, PCR test completed for covid. The first time I waited about 45 minutes, the second time 80 minutes. Although the wait time is long, all staff were very apologetic and professional about it. Maybe having an outside PA loudspeaker with updated times per patient, or a sign with time estimates, 8th in line? Est. 80 min wait, 2nd in line? 20 min wait may give people something more substantial to quell nerves.Edit: December 2020 visit, Citymd changed their policy and are taking patients who arrive at opening time (at this location it is 7AM) to put their name on a list to be called later in the day. I had to arrive at 5:20am wait on line at 5:45 to be one of the first 4 people on line to get tested.
My wife and I have gone here several times. Weve even taken our toddlers when our regular pediatrician was unavailable. The waiting area is clean and generally comfortable. The wait time is never outlandish and staff from top to bottom has always been courteous and helpful. We choose citymd over another walk-in that is free with our insurance. We decided wed rather pay the 50 for better care.
Every single time i go to CityMD i am certainly treated with courtesy and respect.I am no longer interested in waiting weeks for an appointment, or waiting over an hour to get to see a doctor. The place is clean and comfortable. The assistants and the providers take the time to listen to me and give real feedback about the issue at hand.Without reservation, I would recommend this place.
Unfortunate experiences, every time. I once came in with sharp pain; was told not to worry and given weak antibiotics to later found out I had a kidney stone upon going to the emergency room. Nobody really seems concerned with you as a patient: neither those at the front desk nor the providers, even in the time of COVID-19. It really is unfortunate because it is the closest location to my home, but I think Ive finally decided to no longer come to this facility.
A warm and inviting atmosphere. From the moment you enter the office you’re greeted with kindness and care. The doctor that saw me was very knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns and acted quickly with treatment options. Dr. Benson is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend her.
Absolutely an amazing walk in clinic. I have never in my life felt so great to walk into a doctors office until today May 2017. Place is spotless and they make you feel like they actually care about your health and well being. If anyone can ever get the chance to speak with Dr. Benson she is undeniable the best doctor I have ever come in contact with. She loves what she does deeply and you can see/feel her passion. Thank you so much to you and the rest of the staff at CityMD @ Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY.
I cut my hand last summer and everyone was lovely, professional and courteous. The stitches were done so well, I have no scar at all. I was in and out in no time. Highly recommend this location. My husband has gone back since with a sinus infection and had nothing but good things to say. They even asked him months later about my hand. Just lovely.
I needed to take my two year old son in to make sure he didn’t have croup. Our pediatrician office is closed on Sundays. We waited less than 20 mins and everyone was professional and efficient. They tested my son for strep and the flu. I felt like they did a thorough job answered my questions and put my concerns at ease. The place looked clean and tidy. I would recommend.
Everyone at this place was extremely friendly and professional. The PA I saw was great and I could see she really knew her stuff, the front desk were welcoming and professional. So why did I not give it 5 stars? With all the great people here, the X-Ray tech, I believe his name was Darren was extremely unfriendly and had a really bad attitude. He acted like I was putting him out because I needed to get an X-ray. The PA said no need to put on a robe, you can take your shirt off in the X-ray room, when he came in to get me he said you have an undershirt on, I said no, he threw a robe at me and said take your shift off and put it on. He walked out and I had to guess where he went after I put on the robe, and I assumed he wanted me to follow him. His people skills were really bad. Not sure why he wants to be in the health field when he clearly does not like his job. Again, everyone else at this place were great, but this guy did not belong. I was there Sunday 12/29/19.
My entire family went to get tested for Covid and antibodies. The check in was tedious. The actual testing was ok. The follow up was terrible. They kept telling us an email would be sent so we could login to the patient portal. This never happened. When I called and complained, the person told me that’s the problem when you have too many names attached to one email...then contradicted himself saying they didn’t have an email for my husband or the kids. Smh.
Young ladies at this establishment were rude. Even though I arrived at 1:15 PM they told me they were not able to test for COVID-19 today . She referred me to 311 to find another testing site. When I went to Google to check if this is true, their own Google listing said no appointments necessary. I went back to the location and showed them this and the young lady said “ I know it says that, but we have 100 people ( there were less than 10 cars in parking lot ) , I’m not staying here til midnight to do a test for you.” This even I explained to her that we were attending a wedding tomorrow.
My daughter had infected toe nail I was really concerned about over the weekend. The podiatrist was not in on Sunday. I took her over to CityMD on Richmond Avenue on Staten Island and it was a five star experience. I called prior to my visit to find out the wait time. The patient representative was very polite and helpful she told me 30-45 minutes. We drove there in 10 minutes. We were welcome. The place is very inviting very clean. I filled out the paperwork. I was told it would be 30-45 minutes wait again and we sat there maybe 15 minutes. We had a great PA Jennifer Becker and the medical assistant. She looked at the infected toe nail and drained out the blood. My daughter passed out I’m thd middle of it. I was so scared. The PA and the medical assistant quickly laid her down in chair got her ice Gatorade. They made sure she was ok. She had warned me that she could pass out. They were quick and kind great bedside manner. Jennifer PA decided not to cut the nail put the ointment on bandage and wrap her toe. They made sure my baby’s color came back and that she was able to stand up. It was a great experience and this is where I will be coming back if my daughter or I need urgent care. CityMD thank you!
I had an excellent experience at this office. First, there is convenient and ample parking. The office is very clean and the staff was pleasant. I had a very short wait time. Dr. Benson saw me right away. I needed an X-ray. I got the results right away. Dr. Benson was very thorough and explained everything to me. They even got me an appointment to see an orthopedist asap. I highly recommend this office.
It has adequate parking first of all located in a convenient place. The facility was clean and neat, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. The Doctor was professional and thorough and I was treated in a very timely fashion. I was very satisfied with my visit and treatment. I recommend it to anyone who needs medical care.
Me & my family saw Dr. Quin Benson at City MD on multiple occasions. Myself, my wife & my daughters with Aspegers & Autism. She is amazing. Spends time answering questions. Makes you feel comfortable, shes sweet & very knowledgeable. Ive been to many types of doctors in my life. I would rate her as one of the Top 3 that I have ever seen.
I want to say thank you to the staffI needed a rapid test done on Christmas morning I called the day before they informed me that I should show up early before they open so I got there at 6:30am they opened at 9am and I was out of there by 10:30 very polite and helpful since I had never been to one of their sites before I had a few questions I had a great experience considering what I was there forP.s. I was negative
Here for my COVID testing. 🧫 🏥And management here is the worse. The let patients/customers play loud music and hold loud conversations on theirs phones.📱No one not even their security 👩🏿✈️walked over to them to go out side or use headphones or plain and simple to take that damn call off of their speaker.Other reason why I cant nor want to deal with civilians.I want to throat punch 🤜🏽 this dude & his girl for having 2️⃣ different calls for everyone to hear.
Um, i will just say i was not pleased. Front desk are cool, manager cool, providers ehh.I was recommended to go back to work without being checked out properly. I explained to the provider due to the nature of work i do there is no light duty title and i would be risking futher injury. . I was given a few minutes to make a call regarding workers compensation . When i returned to the exam room there was another patient already in my seat. And i was being handed paper work. I doubt i will be doing a follow up at city md
I had the worst experience with theirPA who isn’t even a doctor. She was obnoxious and rude to the point I asked for the because she didn’t know what she was talking about. Never again will I go there. Being in the medical field for years you are not supposed yell or speak over a patience voice. There is so much more and all I can say is I will not go back with that incompetent so call PA
I did not have a good experience at CityMD. I will not be returning there again. I had a mid level provider. I suspected I had adult parainfluenza virus bc my child had croup and I had all the symptoms. I was told by the PA that there is no such thing as adult croup which is not correct. She examined me for like two seconds bearly looked at my ears. I told her I felt like the lymph nodes in my neck were swollen and she did not even examine my neck. Then she proceeded to tell that all the tests are negative, flu and strep and I probably have a viral infection and she doesn’t have a magic want to make that better. And if I wanted Abx she had a waiting room full of patients and she was not going to argue with me if I wanted Antibiotics. I explained to her that I was there so she can tell me whats wrong with me not because I wanted Antibiotics. Furthermore, if I wanted Abx my husband and I are both physicians either of us could have called it in. I feel like nurse was more attentive then the provider. Never again will I be visiting this faculty. And since parainfluenza/croup has been popular this season with the kiddos, maybe your PA should educate herself about the topic. Needless to say very disappointed.
They deserve 20 stars for a rating. The doctor treated me like i was the only patient on the planet. I was so sick to me stomach. Doc proscribed me medicine that allowed me to finally eat after 3 days of puking. He made sure when i left that i was feeling much better. Thank you so very much CityMD for bringing Dr.Zaslavsky on board!
Clean, well designed place with friendly, efficient staff.Dr. Dalton was self assured with her diagnosis and offered informed suggestions about my future health care. My prescriptions were forwarded to my pharmacy. All before 10 a.m. on a morning that I woke up with pink eye.
Horrible bedside manner by a doctor who barely even acknowledged me. Will certainly never return.I also called ahead of time to see if I would be able to receive a specific blood test and when I arrived the doctor stated I would have to see my primary care doctor for that. Waste of my time and money.
Very rude bedside manner from a PA. She became hysterical and hostile towards me without any indication to do so. We had a conversation regarding published medical research that she was wrong on despite proof being presented to her. She then proceeded to talk to her coworkers regarding our conversation, which is a HIPPA violation. As a healthcare provider you should keep calm at all times and never become hostile towards a patient. I tried to speak to a manager for 2 days but it was to no avail.
Dr Kraja or should I say Dr KRUEL! my 19 year old daughter went into take the covid swab and blood test. Dr. Kraja told her I am here to torture you! She was already nervous and sometimes passes out during blood tests. He then pushed up TWO swabs one up each nostril she told him he was hurting her and then he left one up longer than the other. Then when she got the blood test she wasnt looking and then he YELLED at her to put her finger on it! THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING MEDICINE!!!nSTAY AWAY! When I call the number for the facility NO ONE ANSWERS!
What a joke this place is ...the security guard is running the front better than the staff ...first off the self check in —is a waste ...you check in to check in again ?? So this place does covid testing but touch the self check in tablet where everyone comes in and touches who “ potentially” have covid hmmm make that make sense !!!
Place was fast and seemed clean, thats where the 2 stars stop. The assistant after reading back what she typed down from my symptoms assumed 1 symptom i never said. The doctor who saw me did your classic mistake (as per heavy research on Google) of doing 3 virus checks to rule them all out and in the end tell me he doesnt know what I have. When I suggested for the 2nd time that it might be the virus that everyone in my household have he said it wasnt it. Sure enough the following day after the visit, turns out it was EXACTLY what I suggested. How it would make sense that its definitely not what my children have who I am taking care of 24 hours a day... I dont know...
Beautiful beautiful beautiful people and service omg they’re one in a million they’re the most polite sweetest and gentlest individuals and the male security at the front Good God he was above and beyond beautiful polite helpful caring and such a happy soul the female security was great also, the front office staffs were beautiful and not to mention the Dr Good God she was AMAZING with her team so caring and gentle environment was extremely clean well sanitized and welcoming. I took myself and my four Princesses 👸🏽 to be tested and I personally was always scared to be tested I’ve never did a covid test before however my partner showed up for work positive and we all had to be tested and he recommended CityMD Richmond Ave since he’s been there a lot of times I was hesitant because of fear u y’ll know how a lot of people complain of how rough some folks are with doing the test and trust me this will be my only go to place am not interested in another my kids loved it🥰 n even my 1 year old who’s scared of everyone was so well behaved cried a few seconds as she saw the Dr about to touch her lol but that’s normally her reaction to just about anyone but hey I recommend this place aTrillion times to the entire world Muah y’ll stay bless be safe be careful and I pray that God will continue to guide protect and order y’ll steps🙏🏽🥰
Please avoid this Citymd and go to the one on New Dorp instead. The receptionist here, Rachel, is one of the most rude individuals I have ever met. Rachel, when someone tells you that the Doctor told him to come to reception after they call their insurance company for a prior authorization, you do not have to give that patient an attitude and berate him in front of other patients for bothering you.
Really bad experience the woman didn’t record my medical history correctly and than didn’t give me the right diagnosis. I went to another urgent care the woman was lovely and she gave me the antibiotic I needed. Go to circle urgent care it’s right near this place and way better.
Went to the citymd on richmond ave this morning with a sore throat. Was checked in diagnosed and written a script within a 20 minute time frame. Very top notch service. So glad to see they opened one on Staten island. The physician assistant was very kind, caring and courteous. Thanks again. Feeling better already.
I live in arrochar and make the xtra drive bypassing the hylan location because the Richmond ave location is so much better and nicer. The front desk always makes or breaks a location. Staff is friendly, informative and Drs professional. Answer all my questions and enjoy my sweet 2 yr old antics and banter providing her with stickers and lolipops.
That place is terrible, gives weak antibiotics when I asked for the proper ones and of course they didn’t work, they do this so you keep coming back, your lucky if you can see a real doctor and not a pa, and they always tell you to go to the emergency room... they are a waste of time and money

2022-03-09Everyone from the front desk to PA was friendly and professional. The facility is spotless. The check in process is done via ipad so it takes a minute to figure it out and fill out your info - but so much better than paper! Overall a good option for quick walk in care. 🥰

2022-04-23Nice place, very clean, and the kiosk with ID scanner is great. Staff leaves MUCH to be desired. The person who called me into the room (girl with a hijab - didnt get her name; not sure if she was a nurse, medical assistant, or tech) was a mess. NO MASK.... not sure what the policy is there for staff, but given that I did indeed test positive for COVID, this is HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE. Absolutely no warning before thermometer or nasal swab were shoved into my face. Very curt answers to my questions. Didnt bother to let me finish telling her what my symptoms were before she cut me off. Really bad manners, and makes you wonder why some people get into the health care field.

2022-06-22Great people, but there was a technician that checked my temperature and he didn’t put under my tongue. I had to tell him. His statement was I need to get more sleep. Everyone else was great!

2022-05-22They charged me 50 for a covid test when I had insurance and but I was still at the front desk and changed my mind instantly. They never refunded me. Now I have a bill that was just emailed to me that I owe $50 for a visit in March when I was being treated for Covid. I will be reporting this facility for fraud.

2022-06-25If you do not have health insurance, you should avoid coming here. It is outrageous to charge $250 for a visit when competing facilities just charge $75. After my visit, Quest Diagnostics hit me with a $750 bill as if they were billing insurance, even though they are supposed to give a discount for self-pay. They did not even inform me of my results. According to Quest, Alexander Zaslavsky, the physician who examined me, was supposed to approve it but failed to do so. To further add insult to injury, on my most recent effort, I waited almost an hour to speak with the CityMD billing departments highest level supervisor. Throughout the entirety of our talk, he made an effort to irritate me by chewing on his food and sipping his drink in an annoyingly loud manner. This establishment is a sham, and I hope they get whats due to them for propagating such fraud.

2022-01-22I was staying for a few days on Staten Island when I felt a burning pain between my shoulder blades. I was concerned that I might be having a significant cardiac event and rushed over to Citymd on Richmond Avenue. I explained my situation to the front desk (to a young lady named Johnna) and they put me in exam room right away. Two Physicians assistants, Anthony and Elena, came to examine me quickly. They determined that I was having a back spasm. Lisa then entered the exam room to give me an e k g which was read quickly. I learned that it was normal.I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe the wonderful care I received at City MD during my time of need. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you.

2022-07-08After leaving me waiting, the doctor spent less than a minute checking me. Just to tell me to take cough medicine after I’ve already been taking it. Rushed me out and now days later I have to go and pay again for another doctor.

2021-09-08Me and my husband went there for our 1st Covid test. It was high tech in checking ourselves in through a small tablet and the front desk was with decent manner. We waited an hour for the Covid test and the front desk told us we could wait 2 hours. The place is clean and bright, the doctor is nice and the nurse is nice too. I think it is a decent place to go to if anything happens.
