I went here for a PCR test, despite being told that City MD sucks. I needed it to travel for work and couldn’t board my flight because I never got my test results in time. A week later and I still don’t have the results. They said it takes 2-3 days but it looks like it takes 2-whatever day they feel like updating the portal. Don’t ever go here for anything.
My doctor got physically inappropriate with me and did not know the names or uses of basic medications I had been prescribed by CityMD previously. He also screamed loud enough for the hall to hear that “patient should not be COVID testing this much” … very disheartening to hear a doctor against covid testing.
I went recently here for a Covid PCR test for international travel - my dad was in dire situation and I needed to visit my family urgently— 2-3 days of promised test results became almost 4 days if waiting anxiously— I understand everyone is tired and understaffed — But then change line of business. This is unacceptable.
I only visited this urgent care facility because I was traveling in New York from another state and was advised by my primary care physician to seek immediate medical attention at an urgent care facility. The desk staff was fine, and the nurse who initially helped me was very kind, caring, and compassionate. However, the PA with whom I met was easily the worst medical professional Ive ever encountered in my life. She was arrogant, she was rude, and she made me feel like I was a burden for seeking medical attention at the advice of my primary care doctor. Ive never been made to feel so little and so insignificant by anyone in the medical field. I wish I had ignored my primary care physicians advice and waited to seek additional medical attention once I returned home. lab tests were run and I was told I would be contacted with the lab results in a couple of days. I was called by someone in a general call center who told me I had to go back to speak with the PA at one of their facilities in order to get my results. Even after explaining that I was no longer in the state of New York, she was unwilling to help me. I had to ask for someone else in the call center and explained to them my situation and it was only then that they were willing to discuss my results over the phone. My visit was 5 days ago now and the negative experience I had is still weighing heavily on me.
Stood in line for over 3 hrs (only 23 people were in line before me). That was was before going in, completing paper work and waiting for results. The paperwork, which is done on an iPad, could easily be done while waiting on line. Completely unprofessional and uniformed. People at the front desk claimed the all COVID tests are free, after pressing several times, knowing this couldn’t be true. After confirming with the doctor, they of course send to insurance companies that can hit you with a bill, you just don’t have to pay (depending on your insurance) a copay. Also had to convince the doctor and nurse practitioner to clean the pulse oximeter and blood pressure arm wrap between patients. Baffling and ignorant, to say the least. The employees are either apathetic, inept or both. Go to another location!
Went for a covid test- wanted to give the team here major props. They all were kind, patient and had positive energy for dealing with such craziness day to day. Especially the woman who was working at the door! She was asked the same question 5x in the timing i was there and answered each person with kindness and explained the process until the person understood.
Terrific experience. No wait. Office staff warm and inviting. Very comprehensive medical questions.Clean and tidy. If you have a minor issue, need a quick X-ray or have a cold, go here. If you need a cat scan or have a serious issue, go to ER. This place is option to going to an internist , but w X-ray tech. The X-ray tech was really informative and friendly.I was expecting the worst but was very surprised. I had a fever , asthma Attack and just all around sick. They gave me an X-ray , then handed me the film for my own dr to look at. Btw, this was over thanksgiving. They made me feel safe and welcome.Five stars !!Wendy
I needed to get a covid test in order to get on the plane to head back home to Italy. I looked up CityMD on the internet and it turned out to be a short walk from my Hotel. The team at CityMD were courteous, friendly and professional. It was a good experience it a tight and stressful situation.
This place is clean, efficient, and the employees seem top notch. I went for a covid antibody test and was in and out in 15 min. Regine is the person who took my blood and she is really really really really smooth. I will recommend this place to all my family and friends.
(Review of visit on November 16, 2015 around 3:30 pm)I was feeling pretty miserable after experiencing sharp pains in my mid-section all night. Although the pain had dulled by morning, I was still feeling nauseous and I could not keep my meals down. My boss, who had been sick all week, came in raving about CityMD, so I decided to give it a try instead of walking in to my regular doctor, which I was sure would result in a long wait. The Chambers Street office was nearby and very convenient to get to. The office was pretty empty and I didnt have to wait long. After filling out two pages of paperwork and handing over my insurance card and ID, I sat for about 10 minutes before I was brought into a room where a physicians assistant took my vitals and asked a few questions about my history and my ailments. He was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. After leaving to discuss my symptoms with the doctor, he came back asking for a urine sample (which ruled out infection, etc.). He seemed apologetic as if it was a bother for me, but I definitely appreciated that they were doing all they could to find out what was wrong with me. Afterwards, the doctor came in and examined me, asking questions along the way. Although he recommended I see my regular doctor as well, he offered his opinion on what could be my problem (stomach irritation due to high acidity) and suggested I take antacids for a few weeks. They seemed genuinely concerned and answered all my questions patiently and told me to come back if I still felt bad after a week. Before I left, the reception staff gave me the comprehensive summary of my visit that the physicians assistant had typed up. They also gave me a note for work without me asking, which was great.Overall, this CityMD location is very clean and spacious, with friendly staff. I would recommend visiting this facility if you dont feel well and need to see a medical professional immediately.
Sent me repeated bills for a simple service even after I paid in full. What’s the point of paying in full in cash if you’re going to keep asking for money? Thinking of filing a serious complaint with the state attorney general. The way these citymd centers operate isn’t right!
Service was good and relatively fast but unless you really need it, Id stay away. I had chest pains and came in twice. Second time they really really pushed the ER on me, just because I needed some bloodwork but I came in 15 min before they closed at 7pm. That ER trip cost me $450. Each trip to the CityMD, even the short one, another $260 (almost $1k total). And they were aggressively trying to schedule a cardiologist for me (in the middle of the work day) because of my low heart rate, and I knew i didnt need it from a prior experience. Cant imagine how much that wouldve cost. Long story short, theyre just there to take as much of your money as possible (I even overheard doctors at the ER commenting something like that), avoid if you can.
I hurt my ankle at the gym earlier in the day, but I didnt think much of it. As the day progressed the pain got worse. I happened to come across the City Md on Chambers St. As I went to the door I notice that they were closing at 8pm. It was 7:51pm. Going against my better judgement I went in. I thought since they were closing in less than 10 minutes they were going to turn me away. The front desk person told me they would see me. I asked even though you are about to close? He assured me that they will see me. I filled out the paper work but realized I didnt have my insurance card. He looked up my information anyway and found it. Within minutes I was called in to see the doctor. The medical assistant took my vitals and asked the reason for my visit. Once done he called in the doctor, and he came in to examine me. The doctor determined I needed an X-ray. I met with the X-ray technician, he took my X-ray within minutes. All that was left was to get the results. Finally I was ready to be discharged. The entire experience was wonderful and super quick. Not once did I feel like I was being rushed or being kicked out the door. They were super quick but completely thorough. The entire staff was wonderful.
I came first thing in the morning, the place was very modern and clean. The place was well staffed and everyone was friendly and professional. They have a digital check-in kiosk which makes checking in easy. They were also able to give me the drugs I needed right on the spot. Maybe the best medical experience of my life.
I Visited this city MD in early March. I had extreme pain in my wrist. I had x-rays taken and the doctor called me back and told me there was nothing wrong with my wrist. After two weeks of consistent pain I saw another Doctor from another office u related. The new doctor told me there is clearly a fracture in my wrist. I called back City MD and told them the news. City MD went back to the x-ray and told me they did in fact see a break after more review. They told me my original visit had been refunded. After being misdiagnosed they offered no help other than refunding me for my visit. Please beware of this office and their careless mistakes.
The staff is so incredibly nice. I thought I was overacting about the pain I was feeling in my foot and they were so sympathetic the whole time and more so after they discovered through a super high speed quick x-ray that my toe was broken. They gave me a CD in NO TIME with my x-rays and provided me with the support boot and crutches within a little over an hour since I got there. Mind you the first thing they told me was, theres a wait when I asked how long they said, 30 minutes! Does that mean they wouldve taken care of me in 30 minutes had there been no wait?! Its AMAZING SERVICE!!!!!!!! Incredible to say the least...so clean, so modern, I mean theres not enough space for me to write how delighted I was with their services. EVERY SINGLE PERSON in that place is CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented!!!!
The staff is fine, wait times are acceptable, and the facility is in good working order. The physicians assistant I saw today was dismissive, demeaning, and condescending. Ive been to plenty of City MD locations before, and I know this isnt reflective of the whole organization. That being said this interaction suuuuuuuucked!
I was seen for the second time here today. The front desk staff and nurses were very helpful as they were the first time and have the most professional treatment a patient could ask for. I have a reoccurring problem with kidney stones and have had more than 12 in the last year. The doctor I saw the first time was amazing. This time was quite the opposite unfortunately. The first time I came in, I was visiting my wife up here in NYC from out of state and needed temporary relief as I had forgotten my medications at home because it was a last minute trip. The doctor refilled my medications and it was a quick and smooth visit. He even offered a list of urologists that accepted my insurance here in the city in the case I was here longer than expected. This was about two weeks ago. Since then, I decided to move up to NYC permanently to be with my wife. Today I decided to make a visit to see if I could get a referral to the urologist and with the intent of temporary relief until the urologist can schedule me. When the nurse saw me, he recognized me from last time and was extremely friendly. He asked why I was back and I explained that I had made the decision to move up to the city and was seeking the list of urologists once again and a medication that helps with kidney stones along with something for pain until I can get scheduled with urology. He asked me if the medications prescribed last time had helped the situation to which my reply was yes. However when the doctor came in, he didnt even look at my paperwork, nor did he even bother to see that I had been to this clinic before. He immediately explained to me that I should have passed my stones(I currently have more than a half dozen resting in my right kidney alone shown on a recent CT scan) and that I dont have a need for medications. Right after that, he told me they dont even prescribe the medication that the nurse had asked him for. Which was an obvious lie, as I had been seen there before and had them prescribed. He was treating me as a druggie fishing for pain meds. He didnt take the time to listen to my situation or even look at my file to see what had been done previously. My main issue is that this young man is supposed to be a doctor. Doctors do not lie to patients, especially when its obvious. They are to help patients at all costs, not treat them blindly. My wife, who was in the room with me was more than willing to explain that I had been in extreme discomfort recently. It is very irritating when doctor pre-judge patients and doesnt even look into their situation. This doctor is really just a bad doctor and doesnt understand his duty to the public.
Terrible service! My foot was bleeding profusely and I really needed a bandaid so I stepped into this place, knowing that they are a medical office and could provide me with one. The woman at the counter, clearly lying, told me they didn’t have any bandaids which was so RIDICULOUS. The other ladies around her just sat and watched her lie too. Can’t imagine what their actual service is like if they were AWFUL enough to lie to me about a simple bandaid!!!!
Ive been to CityMD for my fifth time to test Covid 19 and this is D first time i got flu shot as well..Each time I try to visit same place but seems no way to waste time so will go the nearest Care which convenience..Each of those Cares ..I can say out 📢 loud..staff are nice ..friendly and always explain very details..Thank you and Keep it up
Very disapointed in this location... Ive been too plenty CityMDs and never have I expierienced such rudeness from one of the employees in my life. not only did she not want to seem bothered, and not once gave me eye contact when i was telling her what i was feeling. SHE SCREAMED MY COPAY ACROSS THE ROOM in front of other patients while i was sitting on the far end of the room which i thought was obserd. Thankfully i read her name tag and her name was NAIMA . every cityMD ive went too everyone has been super nice and welcoming, but this particular employee needs to be evaluated ! not OK
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I nearly broke my ankles and they gave me naproxen. For ladies menstrual cramps. I paid out of pocket for something i could get over the counter..... The doctor didnt even tell me i could save money by buying it at a CVS. This place is a joke. I was not looking for pain meds, but would have appreciated saving money by buying something readily available over the counter... NEVER AGAIN.
I was hosting a crawfish boil on a Saturday. One of those guys pinched me good, I thought nothing of it. Come Monday, it was swollen and stiff and a work colleague said it might be Cellulitis and I should go get it checked out.I walked in the 87 Chambers Street City MD at 12:15. I was consulting with Dr. Noble at 12:20. at 12:50, I was walking out with a prescription called into the closest Pharmacy AND a dose of Antibiotics and Ibuprofen to take immediately. It was the model of efficiency! In and out in less than 45mins and if I hadnt gone, Cellulitis could have spread and I would have had to go to the ER.Facilities were clean as far as I noticed.
Visit in the city from United Kingdom with my pregnant partner we asked to use the toilet and even offered to pay a fee and they still refused I think the attitude is absolutely disgusting and if anyone is ever thinking of using this company and highly recommend not to !

2022-03-30Just went to this City MD - and the staff went above and beyond to help me figure how can I travel outside the country with the appropriate tests results for Covid. They even googled which test I need. I was astonished how great everyone was. Great job. The staff and the one who hired them should be proud of themselves.

2022-05-05The staff was ok. The doctor was very rude. I have only been there one time before this last visit and the doctor asked with a very rude tone “now for what are you here?” She was acting like I have been there a million times before. I think behaving properly is part of her job and people have the right to be there as much as they feel they need it. I would never go there for anything, seems like the doctor simply does not want to see patients. Please, if the staff behaves decently why can’t the doctor behave properly? If she doesn’t like her job she should be something that doesn’t require her to meet with people.

2022-03-22IF YOU ARE BEING SEEN BY PA KATHRYN WERRELL, YOU SHOULD ASK TO BE SEEN BY SOMEONE ELSE.I dont write reviews often, but I was so disgusted in my service from PA Kathryn Werrell that I decided I needed to let people know to try to avoid her. Hopefully one of these reviews gets to her and she tries to change.I came in because my tonsils/throat were hurting and I suspected that it was mono or strep. An assistant asked about what is bothering me and took notes and my vitals. First, PA Kathryn Werrell looked at my tonsils and knew that they were in bad shape. Next, I got tested for strep which came out to be negative. This is where PA Kathryn Werrell started to be rude, dismissive, and condescending.I asked, could it be mono? Instead of acting like a medical professional and explaining why it could or couldnt be mono and if we should test for it, she responds I DONT KNOW, MAYBE. DO YOU WANT A TEST? Um, I didnt know I has to make a medical decision here without any other context just because I asked a very valid question. I ended up saying yes to be safe and that also came back negative. She decided to give me antibiotics to treat strep, which I was a bit confused about since my strep test came back negative. I tried to ask about details about taking the medication, but it was SO clear she did not want to give me any of her time to answer my questions. This was honestly quite disheartening because I love how doctors can articulate knowledge so that a layperson like me can better understand my health and what is going on with my body. I actually had to read all about what I was taking online and ask my friends who are in medicine. The real kicker was when I asked if I could be given something for comfort since I was in pain. Her answer? Oh, do you want me to pull out my magic wand and make you feel better??? Again, I asked a valid question and was met with an extremely unnecessary attitude. I really just had to wonder what does she think she gains from being rude like that?I really wanted to level with her and asked why are you being so rude to me?, but she was in a position of power over me since she had knowledge that I wanted access to. Looking at Yelp, there is already a 1-star review specifically about PA Kathryn Werrell. I want to reiterate that I am writing this to warn other people to stay away from PA Kathryn Werrell. Hopefully, she can change one day to better serve those in need.

2021-12-21I wish all other City MDs would follow this one. I arrived at 8:30 AM to take a covid test. Instead of having us freeze in line outside, they took down our phone # and texted us when it was almost our turn. A 4-5 hour wait turned into a 30 minute wait, inside. Staff were courteous and friendly despite having to repeat themselves over and over again that they werent doing walk-in appointments.

2021-09-20Went in for a PCR Covid test. Had a 6-hour wait the previous day and missed my turn, so decided to get there early to make the front of the virtual line the next morning. The staff is absolutely amazing and friendly, and Dr Ramzan is the coolest! Test barely took 10 minutes.

2020-09-09I don’t usually go to city mds but I needed to get tested so I can assist my aged parents to confirm i was good to go around them and went to this location and really liked the staff. The male nurse that assisted me was great. Nice and friendly and walked me through the discomfort I may experience getting the test and it wasn’t bad. (After he have me an example :)) then the doctor came in and was very friendly. I was in and out and I didn’t even have a copy of my insurance card and the young lady at the front desk printed me a copy. Just a good job all over.

2021-09-22The Doctor I saw was condescending and arrogant. Rich Park he ain’t.His assistant with a “I hate myself” attitude was insufferable. The receptionists were very polite and professional. But, no more storefront medicine for me.Hey, maybe they’ll lose the lease and a martial arts studio will put it to good use.
